One star is too good for this business.Terrible customer service. I got yelled at over the phone when trying to make a payment. They will tell you one hour wait time for the towing to show up. You will have to wait 2+ hours…
They were horrible. Im 67 years old and female. They brought my bike back with one employee who was an immigrant. The bike still has issues so I refused to climb on truck to unload my own bike. They threatened me if I didnt get on the truck they would tow my bike to an impound lot. They actually drove away with my bike. They waited down the road according to Geico until they got another immigrant who also could not ride or go in neutral to roll it. He could not understand my language which is not an issue except I dont speak not AmericEnglish....DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO TOUCH YOUR BIKE...
Bought my 2017 Sierra from them and I was very happy with how purchase went. When asked if they could include a tank of gas with vehicle, the salesman came up with excuses and in result, never paid for the gas. While yes this may sound pitty, I did just spend $30,000 and they couldn’t even cover $90 worth of gas…..
NO CALL NO SHOW! DBA as PA State Towing and Recovery. This company accepted the towing job from my insurance company. They texted me right away saying th would arrive it within 3 hours. I got a call 1 hour later saying the would arrive in 1.5 hours. After waiting another 2.5 hours I called them only to have them say they canceled the tow. They didn’t have the common decency to call me or text me that they changed their minds and decided not to take accept the job.
This service department rocks! Richie is the absolute best and really cares about his work and customers. Im a lifetime customer.
Wish I could give 0 stars. If your roadside chooses this as your tow company just cancel the service. They say 2 hours and 6 hours later still no pickup. And yes they are the tow company too. The phone number matches the "towing" company so its the same one. Do not recommend at all.
Worst towing company ever!!! My parents called their insurance company for a tow truck and just their luck, this company was going to go for their van. 3 hours later and I called and the lady who answered said the driver was “a couple of minutes away” because he was changing a tire. How long does it take to change a damn tire and then to not provide updates!!?? By far the worst tow truck company ever.
Terrible service they told my insurance company 2.5 hours ETA and then call me right after and said it would be 4 hours. If your not going to do the tow within the estimated ETA then don’t accept it.
Terrible and I mean that wholeheartedly. Took 4 hours almost and the driver was unhelpful. I could hardly understand what he was telling me and I kept asking him to repeat himself but to no avail. I’m sad that geico uses them as a roadside service group.
Worst tow company EVER! My roadside assistance contacted them at 9am, at 8 pm I still hadnt received a tow truck. Company stated that they would put me on for a tow first thing in the morning at 8am. Contacted them at 743am only to be told they couldnt get to me until 930! At that point I had already rescheduled my service appt 3 times! Then they cancelled my tow order! These people are unprofessional and offer very poor service but charge an arm and a leg. My advice, if u can use someone else USE THEM because this company is the WORST! No one should have to wait 24 hours for a tow its RIDICULOUS. Wish I could give them No stars
Used this company through Allstate Roadside to get towed a mile from my home. Had used them before and no issues, however this time was much different... I dont know if it was a new tow guy or what but when he attached my van to tow bed due to it not starting and began to pull it up on flatbed he did extensive damage to my front end! Didnt even have the courtesy to admit his mistake just acted as if it did not happen. Now going to have to sue them civilly to get vehicle repaired being as though of course they want to admit no fault like I damaged my vehicle and tried to blame them smfh... Will never allow them to pick up my vehicles again. It only takes one bad experience and one that will cost me almost $1000. To fix to learn my lesson! Will NOT recommend them for anything, EVER!
Simply do not utilize their services. Ultimately, they dont deserve the one start review that I gave; I didnt have the choice to give zero. I have been waiting for 7 hours to get my car towed and the best answer is "traffic in that area is bad" and "sorry other more pressing matters have come up". That is not a reasonable excuse nor should that constitute a valid reason to continuously waste someones time. Ill save you the time and aggravation, dont utilize their services.
Broke down at 12:25. Tow truck was to arrive at 1:28. At 1:58 I called and was put on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up, called Geico, who in turn called them and was put on hold as well. When they finally answered the Geico representative they hadnt even dispatched the call so Geico said they would just call another company. Then Pine Grove Towing had the nerve to tell Geico they still needed to be paid. LOL The next company they called (Mikes Towing/Signature Towingwas there in only 15 minutes.
Trade in my well used BMW for a Subaru WRX. I got more for my trade then I expected and I found some problems with the Subaru. I took it back to them no hassle no questions and they fixed it while I waited. Great experience overall.
My car needed to be towed. I have roadside assistance through State Farm called them at 12:30PM. They set it up and told me Pine Grove Towing was going to be here at 2:35PM. At 4:02PM they still were not here. I was told they were an hour out. At 6:00PM they still were not here. I called and cancelled and got my car to the garage another way. Do not recommend.
Ridiculous! Car dies at 1:15 p.m. Called Pep Boys, who dispatched this company to tow the car, with promised arrival 84 minutes from time of call. Now 5:11 p.m., still no tow truck. Had to call Pep Boys for updates, with final update saying tow truck is leaking hydraulic fluid, and now wont be coming at all.
I would give 0 stars if possible. The company was supposed to pickup my vehicle from a shop, I prepaid, and got an ETA of 14:24. At 14:40 I called the shop and was told my tow was pushed off because they got another tow.Thats not my problem! Learn how to manage your business. The dispatcher had her feelings hurt when i told her that, so she canceled my tow.Great customer service..I hope Allstate drops them as a provider because they clearly dont care about their customers.
This place is AWFUL! We set up a tow with them when we broke down (2 hours from homeand spoke to the dispatcher three times, she was really nice, three hours later no one was here and GM called to tell me they canceled with GM instead of calling us even though she knew I was on the side of the road with a child and a dog and it was 76°... 100% this place can f/&: right off
I purchased a truck in the area which was a 2hr drive from my house, they were able to get me in to notarize the title when they had a full schedule during the covid 19 limited appointments, the truck broke down in the parking lot and they towed it to my garage for a really fair price, friendly and helpful staff would definitely recommend.
Just wanted to say thank you to all the ladies of pine grove auto who were very patient and Helped me get into the car and that I wanted. Well a little follow up to this review. Today is 5-7-2020. I’ve had the car now for about 2 1/2 months and it has been in the garage now two different times and come to find out my transmission is shot. Thank God I purchased the pro guard warranty. But I still have to come out of my pocket $1000. For a new transmission
My husband and I are very pleased with the car we just bought there. Everything was just like it was explained to us on the phone. The website was accurate with everything. Janine is an excellent salesperson. She knows her stuff!
Before posting any negative comments, please make sure YOU have the CORRECT company. We are NOT Pine Grove Towing, we ARE Pine Grove Auto Sales. Thank you
Awesome employees! My daughters car broke down and these people were there to help! Even gave her a loaner car to use while hers is being worked on! Highly recommend!
Never ever use them for towing. I waited over 5 hours for a tow. No calls messages. Even when I called them and requested an eta they would say the driver was on his way. I will never use them again
this place sells nothing but junk. I bought a suburu outback last year it was in the shop twice before I even made my first payment and 8 times before I returned it. now I have a jeep compass from them that has had nothing but problems. its been in the shop four times since Ive had it and now when I call pine grove auto I get jerked around and my phone calls get dodged and not returned. Buyer beware!
Bought a car from them. Didnt even make it home and had engine light and squeak in rear suspension. Took it back 3 times and they could not fix it. Ask to be reimbursed for the $1500 I spent out of my pocket to fix something they should have. They were rud and ask mechanic why that car was back again. Sent them an email and called to.try to get reimbursed. Even filed a compliant with the BBB. No answer. I would never buy from them and would not recommend anyone to buy from them.
Used road side asstiance last night for a flat and it took them 2.5hrs to get to the car. Called the company and told them I have a lowered vehicle. I was reassured that they always had something to get lowered cars. The tow truck got there and of course didnt have the tools to move my car(this is the second time This company did this to me Instead of retryong to move my car to safety they canceled the tow and didnt bother coming back. Do not use this company!
My car died on the highway. It was a Friday and I was 200 miles from home. They told me they would work on it the next day so I had them tow it to their shop. The next day they told me they wouldn’t get to it! I had to take it elsewhere. Cost me tons of money in hotel/car rental and towing simply because they lied to me in the typical bait and switch con. Unethical.
Horrible experience, Was setup for a tow through my insurance company. Tow was set for 10-11 am. They said they delayed till 12 one truck broke down. Then they called again said was running late and said they were gonna pick it up that day 100% 10pm that day still no tow. I got a different towing company to do it for me.DO NOT GO HERE
93 degrees out today and I’ve been driving for 14 hours! My insurance company set me up (and yes I mean that literally and figurativelywith this tow company because they were close to where my car broke down. I was given an estimated time of 60 minutes. I wasn’t happy about it but ehh whatever. I called the company to pay the difference of my tow and they charged my card before I even hung up. Fine. After an hour I called them back and the lady said he had just dropped off a car and was on his way to where I was. The tow truck diver called me and said his gps was telling him he was 41 minutes away. I have now been waiting for 2 HOURS! I’m stuck outside with a broken car in 93 degree heat! To say I’m beyond livid is an understatement. Never again!!
My insurance company set up a tow with this company for me. Around 11am was told it would be 90 minutes, about a half hour later was called and told it would be a little over an hour yet. I got picked up left the keys in the truck and went home. Around 4pm I hadnt heard anything so I called and was told they were on the way. 6pm nothing called and was told they were at an accident scene with the state police and would be about another hour. 8pm nothing called and was told the motor in the tow truck blew it would be first thing the next morning. Called the next morning and they said they had no information on me requesting a tow. An hour later I got a new company called and enroute only to be called and told that Pine Grove had my truck on the tow bed. Never will use them again had my insurance company put a note on my file to make sure I never use them again.
Place is a joke and after seeing the comments and other reviews how are they even in on the list for reliable towing when they make you wait hours (3 for methen cancel. Called the place and the owner seemed like he didn’t even care. Terrible service, I would never recommend this place.
Pine Grove Auto gave us the best treatment, Jason the salesman went out of his way to give my husband the best deal.. Everyone that works there are so wonderful. I recommend this dealership to anyone that is looking to buy a vehicle!!!
My husband purchased his 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 from Pine Grove Auto Sales, everthing for the first two weeks were fine until he turned on the A/C and it didt work so he contacted the dealership to get it fixed since it should be covered under the 3,000 mile warranty it came with. The dealship said they would get back to him a couple of days. Several days went by with no phone call, so he called again with the same response. He went to Reserves for the weekend , first thing Monday morning he called again with them giving the same " will call you back". So my husband got looking at his paperwork, here they changed the milage so instead of him having a 3,000 mile warranty, it only gives him 1,500 miles. So they have been stalling him so he will be over the miles for the warranty to cover the A/C repair. I will never deal with them again, and guys that work with him who live near Pine Grove will be told to steer clear of the dealership.
Brian, my tow truck driver, was great! He showed up within a reasonable amount of time even though he was slammed, he had a positive and helpful attitude, Sarah answered the phone right away when I called both times and kept me updated on the ETA of the driver and relayed all the information I asked her too with a smile in her voice. I think a lot of these other reviewers have not dealt with a lot of tow truck companies, because I have had far worse experiences with other companies.
FYI, Pine Grove Towing and Pine Grove Auto Sales are the same company and have the same phone number.I contacted my insurance company to arrange for a tow. Spoke to Pine Groves dispatcher who told me theyd be onsite within 1.5 hrs. Called them for an update after 3 hrs went by and they hadnt showed up.. The dispatcher copped an attitude and she hung up on me. After 4 hrs, the driver finally showed up. If your insurance provider recommends this company, immediately ask to switch to another and avoid at all costs...
Dont even think about using these guys for a tow unless your in an accident. That is the only way they will tow you. Been sitting for over 3 hrs and they finnally cancelled for getting me a tow. My insurance company now is putting these jokers in review!
Absolutely appalling to conduct business with! Ive noticed in the reviews that this company tries to say that they do not have a tow service, but that is a lie. Why would the phone number and employees be the same? My insurance company chose this company to give me road side assistance. I was told it would be a little over an hour wait time due to traffic. Understandable, right? So I waited. 6 hours later, talks with 3 other people from this "business" and still no one picks up my car! Weve reported them to our insurance, filed a complaint, chose to have our mechanic pick up the vehicle out of our own pocket and by 7:30 my car was finally on a truck! Seriously, save yourself the frustration and call someone else. If your insurance picks them for roadside assistance save yourself and ask for another company. Pine Grove will make sure you regret trying to do business with them. Ps. Geico is dropping them as a provider of tows, because of so many filed complaints!
Scheduled a tow through my insurance provider because they promised the quickest response time (within approx 60 minutes). Near the promised ETA I received a call saying it would be close to 2 more hours before someone would be able to make it out. 3 hours later still nothing, so I called back and they informed me it would be it would be an additional 1.5-2 hours putting my total wait time anywhere from 4.5-5.5 hours for a simple tow to a mechanic. Absolutely unacceptable and definitely would not recommend.PS I have noticed responses to previous reviews saying that they are not affiliated with the towing company but I have multiple confirmations with their company name in addition to a phone call from the number listed on Google .
Another outstanding job from Pine Grove Auto. My Escape needed major repairs and my mechanic, (Rich), done a great job. As with everything you get what you pay for and Pine Grove Auto gives me the best value for my dollar. Outstanding customer service. They treat me like family. Im not just another number. They explain everything to me in detail and take the time to listen, always regarding what I have to say. Quality work. When Rich works on my vehicles I know its done right. Its locally owned and operated. That means my hard earned dollars make a difference right here in Pine Grove. If you want a great job with great service, a new car or just need some notary work, than Pine Grove Auto is the place to go. Thank you again.
I highly recommend Pine Grove Auto Sales. I dealt with Jason. I called to inquire about a Hyuandai Santa Fe. Jason answered all my questions, very Professionally, and directed me to the website, and had my wife and I approved on it in 20 - 30 minutes. When we arrived, Jason was very Professional, and Courteous. We are extremely Happy with our Purchase, and as I said Highly Recommend them.
I recently bought a truck from Pine Grove Auto. While the sales person was nice, their lack of follow through and attention to detail was horrible. We agreed to buy the truck on a Monday and agreed to return on Wednesday evening to sign the paperwork. We have a very young infant and a 5-yr old in our family so I asked to have the paperwork ready to sign as soon as we arrived so my wife could leave quickly. I was assured everything would be ready when we arrived. It wasn’t. No biggie, things happen.Eventually, after a few printer malfunctions and input errors, the paperwork was ready and off my wife went. I waited for the truck to be finished in their cleaning area and when I hopped in the truck I immediately noticed that while the outside of the truck looked great, the inside of the truck was not detailed. Dust, grime and hair was evident. No biggie, things happen. I was about 2 miles down the road when I realized that the hood was unlatched. Apparently the detailer forgot to close the hood all the way after he polished it. No biggie, things happen.About a day later we got a call from our salesman stating that they were switching financing companies (to save .25% interestand we would have to return to sign the new paperwork. Getting somewhat annoyed, I agreed to drive to them after my work day while my wife agreed to drop everything, pack our infant and preschooler in the car and go sign immediately. When I arrived to sign, I saw that they had my wife sign in the wrong spots! They then had to reprint everything and have me sign. They asked me to have my wife come over immediately to sign to which I said “no way, you work that out with her to find a convenient time for her.” The salesman ended up coming to our house a few days later to have her sign.Figuring everything was behind us we hitched our travel trailer up to the truck to go on a camping trip. Our camper weighs 6,000 lbs and the truck has a towing capacity of 10,000 lbs, however, halfway through our trip the transmission temperature and engine temperature shot up to their redlines! We limped home without overheating and I dropped the truck off with my trusted mechanic who changed the transmission fluid & filter at my request and informed me that I had a bad clutch fan. “Oh yeah,” he said “your truck is missing the front suspension stops.”Growing frustrated I reached out to my salesman to ask about the warranty coverage they provided and to see if they would pay for the suspension stops. Well, the salesman promised to call the warranty company and get back to me by Monday afternoon. After waiting around until the following Friday, never hearing back from Pine Grove Auto, I contacted the warranty company myself to find out the clutch fan wouldn’t be covered. I can safely assume Pine Grove Auto won’t be giving me new suspension stops either. To top everything off, this past weekend I started the truck up to hitch up our camper. After startup my brake pedal was shuttering like crazy and required pumping before it would settle down. Bad booster? ABS going out? Who knows, but if the charcoal colored brake fluid is any indication, I’m looking at another major expense. This one’s on me though because I definitely should have looked at the brake fluid before purchase. All of this happened before our first payment was due. I hope your experience with Pine Grove Auto will be different than mine, but I can’t recommend them to anyone. If I were you I would be very skeptical of all of their positive Google reviews since my salesman encouraged both me and my wife several times to leave a positive review, making sure to “use a different IP address” for the second review. I’d love to leave a second negative review but, well, multiple reviews would be unethical.Update in response to Kens reply to my review: If I cant depend on you guys to even clean the steering wheel of a vehicle I just agreed to buy, how can I trust you to work on the mechanics of the vehicle? Ill use my trusted local mechanic.
One of the worse towing services Ive experienced. Originally, 3ish hour delay, then 3 more, then 30 minutes, then 1.5 hours, and 6 hours later, still a no show... But they certainly will take the credit card info down.
I got my car here about a month ago. Andy was very nice and super helpful. No pressure at all. I sat in almost every car on the lot and test drive 3. Found my perfect car!
Cant say enough good things. These guys took great care of myself and my family. Jason and Ken were both awesome and helped my family get into an awesome third row that was not unfairly priced. When I went in to finish and sat with Ken, I think I was out of there in like 30 mins. What a great exp!!!
The salesmen are very knowledgeable and accommodating. Andy is very knowledgeable about the cars on the lot and details I certainly didnt know. It was also a low pressure pleasurable experience.
Just like any business, the employees make or break the reputation. I have to tell you, if you want an outstanding car buying experience, go see Andy. Andy will talk to you like you are part of the family and his automotive expertise will surprise you. I bought a vehicle from Andy at another car dealership, and I look forward to giving my business to Pine Grove, simply because he is there!
I went in here today twice. The first time there was nobody inside and everyone outside ignored me. Didnt ask if i wanted help or if i would like to speak to someone. The second time back same thing, stood there for 15 min while everyone in their office chatted it up. When i finally spoke to someone he was pre occupied just talking to a co worker and couldnt tell me anything about said vehicle other than price. I will not be going back.
Absolutely one of the best experiences purchasing a truck. Andy & Jason went above and beyond to get the deal done, Something you dont see when buying a car. a step by step inspecting by me and my mechanic and their attention to detail got the little things done. I will absolutely do business with them again and again and recommend them to ALL my friends and family
Very fast, efficient, professional, and friendly. Would use them again for a tow any time. Had Anthony as my tow guy and he made sure to treat my sons car good even though it wasnt brand new.
