Pirates of Lewes in Sussex County

Fantastic experience. My son and I have done this three years in a row since he was around three and every year gets better and better. The people are so friendly and for the cost, you cannot beat the experience and memories that comes from this.

This was the best! The kids absolutely loved this and I am sure they will remember it for a very long time ☺️

We had an amazing time! I definitely recommend this for anyone with young kids. The pirate crew was amazing with the kids. It was nice to sit back and watch my kids have fun, while someone else ran the show. They were so organized and friendly. We would definitely do this again and I have already told a my friends!

This was an amazing experience. The staff are fantastic and completely in character from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Be sure youre dressed ready to get wet during the water fight with Barnacle Bob. It was enjoyed by all!

The voyage was fun for all ages from the moment we parked. Costumes and face paint for the young pirates and first rate comedy for the adults. I highly recommend this fun and very interactive pirate adventure. The captain and mates were amazing with all the little pirates. It was very safe while fully engaging!!!

I took my grandsons on the Pirate Cruise today! They had an Amazing time! The crew was Fantastic, not only was this event Super hands on but it was also educational for All! Highly recommend!

We just sailed with Pirates of Lewes with our 4 grandsons ages 2, 3, 4, & 6 and they loved it. The entire experience was a great interactive and hands on activity that kept their excitement level to a maximum. Our 3 year old did become a bit scared with the "bad pirate" but I think if we would have prepared him for it a little more he would have been fine. I would highly recommend this. The crew was incredible and the captain was even educating and joking with the parents in the aft of the ship. Overall 5+++ experience.

Cute pirate ride. Great crew. Id say its great for 6 and under. Your children will get wet so leave a change of clothes in the car. Parents who hide in the back of the boat wont get wet.

The crew were fantastic! They made the experience enjoyable for both kids and adults. Our three kids, ages 4, 7, and 9 all said this was their favorite thing we did on vacation!

We took the cruise while visiting Lewes last week. The whole experience was so wonderful for my 4 year old. Everything from the oath at the beginning, all the pirate gear, the treasure, and crew were wonderful. Such a great memory for years to come! Highly recommend!!

This was a big hit, our kids (ages 3&4had a great time! They felt like real pirates out on an adventure. Even my husband told me multiple times that "this is the coolest thing ever" lol The crew was great and engaging, would definitely recommend this for families with young kids looking for something different to try.

TAKE YOUR KIDS!!!we went on a whim(and the reviewsand my daughter loved it. we had such a good time. the staff was great with the kids, easy to talk to and even made a few tongue in cheek jokes for the adults.the pirate adventure was pretty neat, all the kids got to interact during the voyoage. the captain even gave a few facts about the canal.be advised. there is no asking for a parlay. straight to mutiny.so let your kids dig deep into their inner johnny depp, take the pirates code and take sail.

This is our second year and it’s always such a fun experience! The crew couldn’t be better. So fun so kind. We’ll be back!!

Great little family adventure on the pirate ship. Fun captain and crew. Kids enjoyed finding the clues from the map, and battling the pirate captain for treasure.The Captain was very helpful when we had an ill family member and allowed us to use a voucher for the tickets we paid for!

We have been wanting to do this with our to young boys for a few years. We did it this week while we were staying in Rehoboth! It was a GREAT experience and the Captain and Crew were Awesome with the kids and adults! We will be back next year to do it again! Great job Pirates of Lewes TEAM! YOU ROCK MATTIES! ARRGH! :)

This was such a great experience! Someone from the Condo’s Facebook page recommended it to us. The kids and parents had so much fun. The crew were fantastic and energetic. We will be talking about it for years to come.

Fun for the whole family, convenient length of time while still making the money worthwhile! Both my 5 year old and 11 year old enjoyed themselves and left with complimentary pirate swords and a bag of pirate treasure. Bring a change of clothes for the kiddos in case they get soaked "fighting" the pirate.

I Dont often post a review, but after today I HAD too. We set sail with "The Pirates of Lewes" today at a 1:30 p.m. voyage and our 7 and 3 yo has a BLAST. Its RARE to find folks that are this good with such a varied age group as we had on our trip. The Captain and her crew were top notch. You wont be sorry you took time out of your beach schedule to head out on this adventure!

Been coming here for the past 5 years since my kids were 3-5 years old. An excellent, fun family experience. The crew is very witty, funny and great with the kids. Each kid gets put in pirate gear for the voyage and they all get a pretty cool pirate experience. From looking at a treasure map, to raising the battle flag to shooting water cannons, this trip has it all and is well worth the money. My kids are almost 10 and they still ask to go back every year. We went to the Pirates Adventures in Myrtle Beach but this one was so much better. Each kids gets to score some treasure at the end of the trip...My suggestion, do not wear socks and be prepared to get wet. A great time!!

This was a great little tour in Lewes. Be sure to arrive the 30 minutes early to take advantage of the whole experience. The crew did a fantastic job interacting with the young ones while adding some humor in there for the adults. If I were to compare the humor to anything it would be a Shrek movie. Worth the expense to breakup the week. Its becoming a tradition. So play along, watch your kiddos giggle, and wait your turn youll get to play with the water cannons too.

This is a fun, little excursion! These ladies do an amazing job of entertaining the kids while keeping everyone safe! Theres also some jokes and puns for the "big kids" in the back of the boat! Its a calm, smooth ride in the Lewes Canal. Just be aware that your kids will get wet!

Fun for the entire family! My 7 year old and 4 year old grandchildren had a great time. High energy mates and captain, kept everyone entertained.

We really appreciated the crew and the effort they put into this. The trip was cute, and they really stayed in character in a fun way. However we were extremely disappointed that during the water gun fight our kids were blasted pretty roughly directly in the face. Our kids are 3 and 4. The water guns are fun and it’s what my son looked forward to most. But he and his little sister took direct hits up the nose from a pretty powerful blast and it absolutely ruined the rest of the experience for my son. You might want to consider some gentler water toys with the littlest ones, or have a stronger disclaimer.

What fun! This was fun for our entire family(Yes, even the adults & teensbe prepared to fight off the bad pirate with the water cannons! The crew was engaging and fun for the kids with lots of souvenirs. If youre looking for something different, this is the excursion for you!

Took my two boys, ages 5 & 7, and they had an amazing time. They said, "That was as much fun as Funland!" so that is pretty high praise.The Captain and Crew do an excellent job at keeping the kids involved and making it fun. The whole thing is entertaining and immersive from beginning to end. Id love to give it 10 stars.One nice aspect is they stay on the canal so the water is pretty smooth and the kids can move back-and-forth with ease and without any worry.I did not get a seat in the "safe zone" so I got a little wet but I was prepared for it. I dried off quickly in the hot, summer sun.

Absolutely a great experience! The crew was so creative and interacted with all the kids. They were so funny too! 120% great activity. They deserve all the praise!

We took our 2 year old and 7 year old sons on this ship this morning and it was fantastic! I would highly recommend it for kids. They got pirate eye patches, tattoos, and swords before getting on the ship. While on the ship, they got to hunt for treasure and fight the pirates (water battle). The staff and captain were enthusiastic and fun. The water battles were amazing!

A must do when youre in town with kids 3 to 10. They really put on a great show and I wont tell any details to not spoil anyone. Youre on the ship for 30 minutes and they stay in the canal (in case youre wondering if they go on the ocean).Their dock is a the Lewes shipyard right past the Irish Eyes restaurant.They take tips so dont forget to bring some cash with you.

Our son LOVED this experience. The employees/crew were kid friendly as well as adult entertaining. Bring cash for crew tip at the end (if you wish - well deserved!Covid19 cautious while still making it interactive for the kids. Highly recommend!

Our family went on the Pirate Expedition a few weeks ago. We figured the kids would have a blast. What we didnt expect was that the adults would also have a great time. The hosts are terrific! They entertain the kids and adults alike. I highly recommend this trip. I know we will do it again.

We had a lot of fun earlier this week on a pirate cruise! We got there about a half hour early, which allowed for face painting, tattoos, and dressing in pirate gear. My kids had tons of fun - especially with the pirate battle and the treasure chest at the end. Crew was very entertaining for kids and adults.

We are grandparents who live in Missouri. I always look for adventures to share with my grandchildren when we come to visit them in Delaware. This was the highlight of our trip this year! The “crew” is absolutely wonderful! And full of humor. There is never a dull moment from the time you arrive till the time the children disembark with their treasure. They hunt for landmarks, follow a map, fight a pirate with water cannons, and unlock a hidden treasure. Highly recommend this for children ages 3-8.

Found this hidden gem when we visited Rehoboth in July 2018 with our 4 year old son and I highly recommend for anyone with kids! From the moment we arrived until the time we left the Captain and Crew were phenomenal! We arrived early and they were just great from the gate. Very attentive to the kids and also they add in some great adult quips that had us laughing the entire ride. Great crew you have there Captain and thank you for giving us a great memory I am sure he will still be talking about for years to come!

This is a DEFINITE go to for kids. We had 4 & 5 yr olds, they loved it. The crew is awesome involving each of the kids on this adventure. The water cannons the kids shoot off was great fun! A pirate tries to come onboard & all just so exciting for the young. The crew kept the adults entertained also with their quick quips. We all LOVED it!

AHOY MATES:This was AWESOME for kids and adults!!!!!!! It is a childs dream come true...The staff was GREAT, they kept the adults entertained as well as surprising and engaging the children every turn of the helm. The fun started on land and continued until the ship docked. I highly recommend this adventure, my six year old Grandson,Oliver is still raving about it to family and friends.

Very merry band of pirates​! The kids had fun, but so did the crew. Kids loved it! They carried their booty everywhere for days, so the bad pirate wouldnt sneak up and take it back. Also a nice ride for the parents. The captain has a nice adult oriented tour for the parents in the stern, while the first mate and Terrible Terry keep the kids busy navigating the treasure map in the bow. FYI, Try to plan for the weather, the is no respute from the hot sun on the water.

We had a blast! The captain and crew were wonderful with the kids! All of the kids were so engaged; our son loved following the treasure map and shooting the water cannons. And the costumes they wore were super cute! I would HIGHLY recommend this to families with kids! Well worth the money!
