The doctor himself is fine. Knew what I needed done with my molar. Very bad cavity and needed a crown. The temporary crown that was put on was a flat piece of material. Didnt think much of it because it was temporary. They took an impression of my original tooth so I should have that for my permanent. It arrives and I go in to have it cemented in. The assistant grinds away so much of the tooth because it was so tall it was a flat piece of expensive zirconia. Doctor tells me I will get used to it but didnt seem to realize how much his assistant messed it up. Another assistant tries to tell me that since Ive had my adult molar since I was 6 over time they grind down. No, Im sorry not like how the first lady did it. He was willing to order me another but would have to grind down for it to fit. Asked for a refund so I could get what I wanted and expected. He did and I ended up going to Colorado Springs to Cheyenne mountain dental group and they didnt disappoint . I wish I could post pictures because its night and day. I have a tooth and I cant tell its fake. Dr. Pontious left me with something Im sure he was not proud of at all. His assistants need to be grateful hes letting them stay and continue the shotty workmans ship theyre providing. Lesson is dont settle and dont get told "youll get used to it" because I never had dental anxiety until this.

I paid this doctor to put a crown on a tooth with a failed filling. It immediately got infected and he would not see me again they just kept sending me prescriptions for antibodies I thought it was getting better but now it looks like Im going to lose the whole tooth because its gotten so infected its the teeth around that are starting to hurt my jaw hurts my face is swollen thank you Dr Pontius

Dr. Pontious and his staff are very knowledgeable and provide excellent dental care. He is very honest about what you need and doesn’t try to suggest extra procedures or anything that you really don’t need. I highly recommend him!

As usual my last visit with Dr. Pontious and his staff was excellent. Friendly and positive. I had my teeth cleaned by Anne and she did a great, painless job. I really cant say enough about my overall experience.. always outstanding like always..

I am a nervous Nelly when it comes to doctors and dentists. I had the same dentist for 35 years so it was hard to visit a new one. I was so delighted with Dr Pontious and his staff. They let me know it was ok to be apprehensive and put me at ease. Very good visit with great advice for going forward. Very good doctor with so much up to date knowledge.
