Love that chicken from Popeyes! They dont serve Cajun rice anymore. That was my favorite side order. I got the 3 piece wings, red beans and no drink. The wings were great but for 3 wings and beans it was over $10. I felt ripped off.

Being team truck drivers we got there late. Drive thru was open but inside was closed. They let my wife inside and took the order. It was delicious!!! Very hot and flavorful!!! YouTube roxzo trucking llc

I went to the Lake Zurich around 6:30 PM on 9/3/2022. The service at best was slow to slower.I ordered the 4 piece spicy chicken with red beans and rice. This was a take out meal. Of the four pieces I ordered, 3 were extremely dry. After one bite of each of the three pieces, I through them in the garage.Hopefully, this was an isolated incident.

My Cajun rice was burnt. I made an online complaint to Popeyes and they said. "Sorry to hear that your Cajun rice was burnt", I used to work at Popeyes for 3 years. With their No resolve caring, I am not going back.

Service was extremely slow/young employees appeared to be running the show, and very poorly I might add. Chicken sandwiches were uncommonly greasey as were the floors...almost slipped & fell.

DONT ORDER MUCH AFTER 7PM OR YOUR FOOD MAY LIKELY NOT BE HOT AND TASTE LIKE ITS BEEN SITTING AROUND AWHILE

Chicken was very dry, coleslaw tasted like sour milk. It wasnt busy but the girl at the counter screwed up no just my order but the order of the person in front of me

I had a great experience at this location, the evening before Memorial Day! I just had to leave a positive review. The man who took care of me was so friendly, and service was outstanding! Thank you!

The chicken was delicious but it took a long time to get the food out, although the manager explained that it was because part of his staff did not go to work that day

Highly frustrated. Stopped in about 7:00 after dinner rush. Ordered 12 pc chicken and an extra side. They didnt have the extra side. Had to ask for a refund on the side order. The poor girl at the register looked new and like she was becoming flustered. She was given no support from the coworkers and we waited 15 min for the refund never got it, walked out....terrible service.

Worst establishment ever. I stopped by before work and ordered a 3 pc tender meal when i received it the bag was hot so i assumed it was fresh upon opening the bag the chicken was stale and old the only thing fresh was the side disgusting 🤮

Spicy chicken and flounder sandwiches w/ happy hour $1 side dishes make this a fast food standout. Calories galore but tasty.

This is probably the worst Popeye’s in the area. I hate writing bad reviews but this location has been consistently bad. Horrible service and a total chaos. Unfriendly and unprofessional staff completes the bad experience. Popeye franchise should supervise their stores better. Real shame!

Its a really nice little restaurant that they opened the food is delicious the staff is very friendly and it doesnt seem very busy when we are there. Highly recommend going there.

Food was ok. The soda machine seemed to be out of Co2. The staff was talking loudly. Im pretty sure it was the shift leader who kept dropping the f bomb. He must have did it at least 7 times during our lunch.

This location sucks. The drive through is dead and you still wait 3-5 min for anyone to acknowledge you’re there.. and at 8pm they “ aren’t selling any more chicken sandwiches for the night” . Joke.

So, I am doing this as a thank you to the staff at this specific Popeyes. Years ago, I had tried Popeyes and did not enjoy it, and was thus turned off. However, I recently had a change of heart because of this specific location.I am divorced and take my girls out for dinner every other Thursday, and I let them choose. The restaurant they request more than any other restaurant is Popeyes. This is the closest location, so it is where we always end up.I would first like to commend this staff because the restaurant usually looks understaffed, which I assume is because of everything going on. But they always look to be doing their damnedest to make everything run as smoothly as possible. I see many people complaining in the reviews, I feel like they are doing a great job for what they have to work with.My daughters are picky eaters. Even though they love Popeyes, they are still rather particular. So I always end up with the weirdest order. Three piece spicy chicken meal, all breasts, 12 piece meal deal with all legs, and 5 extra biscuits. As weird of an order as that is, they never bat an eye and just give me a simple warning that itll be "15 to 20 minutes" because they have to make more legs. They never seem disgruntled about it or anything, they just want to make sure that I wont be. And theyre always super patient as my 5 year old is interrupting the transaction 10 times to make that I ordered her extra biscuits. They are always kind and patient with my little family.That 15 to 20 minutes is rarely more than 10-15. We dine in the restaurant, and they always offer to help me get this large order to the table, which I decline. The food is always great, the kids are always thrilled, and I honestly couldnt be more satisfied. Its not always easy finding a place where you can bring three children by yourself as a single parent and feel comfortable about the experience, but theres something very welcoming about this Popeyes that makes the whole thing awesome.Thank you for all of your hard work.

I now declare the best fried chicken is now HANDS DOWN - POPEYES. Not even close.Just had 2 boxes of 8 nuggets w/BBQ sauce.Hmmmmmmn. Hmmmmmm. Man was that good with the Frozen Strawberry Lemonade.Outa the way KFC...Gotta love the lte batter they use. Fluffy fresh

Alright I’m infuriated. Came about an hour before close even and they told me they were out of biscuits (only reason it’s not one star is because she was nice enough to offer another side but I didn’t want one). Fine, took my order. I get halfway home and take a sip of my Coke and it’s completely flavorless. Don’t ever come here after 8.

Quality has gone up largely, a 3 piece tender box fills me up every time without a scrap left. Salty, spicy, hot, and delicious. GET YOUR CHICKENNN

Ordered with no one in the drive through and it was dead inside. Ordered the chicken sandwich combo. When arriving at the drive through I was told to wait to order, not a big deal. Then I had to wait for fresh fries and told it would be a minute. Ok. A few minutes later I get my meal, open the bag and the fries were put upside down and fries were all over. Seems pretty careless, and I didnt appreciate it after being patient with them when it was dead. Fries were cold when I got home anyways. Disappointing.

Not a fan of their chicken. Both their mild and spicy have very little seasoning. The spicy has a slight heat but still very bland. Ive given them several tries but it just doesnt compare to KFC or even the Jewell chicken. Drive through was very slow this night but I suspect they are having staffing issues like everyone else. Ive had Popeyes from a different location and I didnt care for it either. I will drive the extra distance for KFC or just pick up pieces from the Jewell counter.

Was unhappy with my 16 piece meal. 6 Wings, 6 drums, 2 thighs, 2 breast. 3 Large sides and 12 biscuits. Lots of small pieces of chicken for $47 meal. Jewel has a great Monday deal on Fried chicken.

Ordered 3 chicken sandwiches for dinner and the chicken was dry and stringy. They overcooked it! Wont be back. Chick-fil-A is right down the street and worth the drive, since they are always consistent!

Staff is super slow and my whole order was wrong. The food is over cooked. The chicken should be juicy not DRY! I’m very disappointed because it’s the only Popeyes near my house. I hope the staff gets there act together because I was very sad.

Well me and my husband would normally go to KFC. But when we found out that a Popeyes was coming to our neck of the woods we thought why not lets go. Nothing against KFC but this is only my opinion but I would choose Popeyes over KFC any day of the week. It just tastes better. Sorry KFC.

Worst Popeyes ever the tenders are fried very hard nothing but breading that will cut your gums. Chicken nuggets never getting those again mashed potatoes were cold...waited for months for this place to open its very disappointing I rather get fried chicken from marianos or jewel....

First I asked for the tuesday special, not knowing that the promotion was over. The guy responded exhaustingly "We dont have the tuesday special". I understand they were tired of hearing this all day but dont make the customer feel like theyre at fault for annoying you. Secondly, I took the 2 can dine which comes with 2 sides. Not only did I only get 1 side of fries, it was the tiniest portion I have ever seen (Aside from the popeyes I used to work at which did the same thing because they had rude and greedy owners). Third, they made sure to give me the smallest pieces and I literally have never seen a chicken thigh that small. I got ripped off, and we were left hungry. We dont even eat a lot and usually have leftovers after a 2 can dine.... But we were still....hungry... I did nothing but be polite with them. Im taking my business to the Mundelein location from now on.

Waited inside the restaurant for over 20 minutes just to find out they still didnt the three pieces of chicken I ordered ready. Then they had the audacity to be rude while we were discussion alternatives. Being rude to customers that you have left waiting for over 20 minutes, well done Popeyes staff.Update: I have stopped at this location a couple more times since that awful experience, the staff has been significantly more pleasant and courteous. When they were out of spicy dark meat chicken, they informed me they were out and how long the wait would be for them to finish cooking more. They allowed me to decide whether to wait for them to cook more of that chicken or select alternatives.

New clean restaurant that replaced Pizza Hut. I got chicken sandwiches which were delayed (15minmy pickup order, used their amazing app with rewards. Sandwiches, tenders, bone-in pieces, fries, coleslaw, apple pies, and biscuit were all great as expected!

I have visited this place 6 or 7 times now. Each time I have came. I have expressed my concerns. The beans and rice are basically all rice. I ask each time to have beans added and usually get told no. Their biscuits are to hard and Ive also had missing chicken. I would rather drive 30 mins to round lake where I know everytime my food is what I ordered. This is kinda sad as I waited for them to open!

New store, so new employees, but they got the job done well. Still the same menu even though I wouldnt want biscuits they and sides pretty much come with any "meal". If you like their combo meals its a great place to eat.

Very good location and much needed fried chicken place for our area for a different change of takeout variety. The first time I did go there was a huge line hence it had just opened but the food/the good service was definitely worth the wait and was super freshly fried food.The prices are reasonable and fair.Very friendly talkative kind workers/staff. The freshest Popeyes chicken spicy sandwich I have ever had ever came from this location. Since the dining room is now open , it’s less crowded via drive through so more convenient/quicker pick up.

Waited 30 mins in the drive through. Placed an order for chicken. They charged my credit card and I waited another 10 minutes just for them to tell me they are completely out of chicken. Why did you charge me and make me wait. The drive through is very tight and clearly not Completely thought through since it’s easy to get stuck in there with other cars. This is a new location. It’s very sad it has so many problems

Waited almost a half hour in drive thru. Simply asked what kind of chicken came with the meal and all I got was it was all bones chicken. I ordered 2 3 piece chicken tenders with fries. Chicken was hard as a rock and no taste to it. Fries were cold and gross and the biscuit was eh. Will not be going back there.

Waited forever for this place to open, wished I didnt. The food was horrible! Ordered a 4 sandwich meal, the food was so generic. Couldnt believe it was a Louisiana kitchen! Soggy over cooked chicken. It was so tough I couldnt even bite into the sandwich. I dont know what they used for breading, its definitely not popeyes! Biscuits sucked and what the hell is that coleslaw they gave me!? Its like they drained all the juice and dried it out and it was only half filled! The fries dont get me started just garbage! By far the worse popeyes Ive ever eaten at!

Newly opened location. Fresh hot chicken and speedy service.Even better, no up charge for requesting breasts instead of standard pieces.But unfortunately, no delicious fried chicken gizzards like they have at the Popeyes in Benton harbor michigan.

Was very friendly and helpful. The store is brand new. The store is clean and very bright inside not dingy. Plenty of parking. Entrance to the restaurant is on the parking lot side not the Rand road side. Handicapped accessible entrance as well as handicapped parking. It smelled wonderful as soon as I walked in.

We were excited to try the new Popeyes in Lake Zurich. I entered the drive-through lane as the third car in line. They have two lanes and I decided to go into the left lane. The woman on the intercom decided to take three cars in the right lane before she took my order. I sat there for 29 minutes and when I got to the window I asked for the manager so I can notify her of my experience. The woman taking the orders who’s name is Natalie informed me that she was the manager. She went on to say that they are understaffed and did not apologize. It would have been nice if she offered me a free soda for my inconvenience but she did not do so. We will never go back!

This is Popeyes was incredible!! All the staff was fast paced and the food was hot a scrumptious!! The young female whose name was natalia was an attentive and did her job correctly! Will be back!!!

Love the spicey chicken/sandwich. The manager was doing her best. Whoever designed the place didnt really think about through traffic and layout of the parking lot and drive through. I had to wait about 10 minutes just to back out of my parking spot because the line for drive through was too long. Went inside to avoid the drive through and waited 15 minutes to get my order. Its not the people working theres fault. Great chicken poor layout for through put.

Was incredibly busy both in drive thru and walk-in. Ordered a 2pc combo meal and the leg and breast were both hot, juicy, and tender. My mom got a smaller amount of fries than we usually get at other popeyes but I dont blame them, every employee was moving a Mile a minute trying to keep up with the orders. Will be back!
