Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Sussex County

Service is not good, ever. I go because the food is great but Im always prepared for bad service and a jacked up order. As always, things were missing, this time I got 0 of 3 sauces and was missing two sides

This popeyes use to be good big emphasis on used to be. We have picked up chicken many times from this location over the past few years. I have been dealing with covid the past week and I am usually cooking instead of eating out so to make it easy on us both she offered to get chicken and I was ok with it. She ordered the 14pc family meal which is just about $35 dollars with tax. When she came home with it there were only 10 pieces in the box for starters and the chicken was so dried out it was just about inedible. The biscuits were so hard that they could have been used as skipping stones. The only edible thing were the potatoes.This will be our final expierence with popeyes.

The food is usually good, but they never ever give sauces. I asked for extra Mardi Gras Mustard multiple times, they even read it back, then they don’t put anything in the bag. I forgot to check, so I was very very disappointed when I got home.

Food was good but servers wer unhappy people. Had to return to cafe for sauces.

We decided to stop In for lunch today. Their were people waiting, come to find out they had to cook more chicken. Good thing we waited as there is nothing more better than fresh cooked chicken. It was very moist in the middle, had great flavor and taste awesome. Staff working at the time were very personable and helped with all our needs. Keep up the good work at that store as you are doing a very good job.

Food to greasy, oil is old, chicken is not fresh.

The staff was not interested in helping. I had to return my mac and cheese, portion size was smaller than the cup. Chicken was barely room temperature.

Fish sandwich was good but they put sauce on it, which I didnt ask for. Treat your late night guests better.

I tried to get a DoorDash order for over an hour and a half and they had two people call me 45 minutes apart and tell me they were on their way with my order then they called me back and said that they were cooking chicken but I’d be a bit. I drove to this location, I waited five minutes in the drive-through line before someone acknowledged me sitting there to find out the chicken would be a while still. How can you be out of chicken when it’s 95% of what you do,This is a poorly run operation

Didnt even acknowledge us at the drivethrough intercom after being the only people in line, waiting for 5 minutes. We said hello, noone answered. We left. Wow! What amazing service! Thought id leave a review to match. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Wondering if it’s a requirement when hired at Popeyes to be rude as hell. Your employees could use a crash course in customer service. The girl who took our order thought she was skilled enough to take our order and have an entire conversation with her coworker and still couldn’t get the order right. I then had to come back and stand inside for a small fry and a biscuit for 15 minutes. Incompetent workers and rude service. Eat literally anywhere else.

Tell me why this is a fried chicken place with no fried chicken ready at lunch time on a Sunday. Was told a 2 minute on a family meal and Ive been sitting in my car for 20 minutes now. Finally after 30 min had to go inside and request with my food or a refund. Had to get a refund. Never again.

My order had hard crumbly and cold biscuits. Not as pleasant as the food was two decades ago, when I first experienced it while in New Orleans.

It was pretty good. The taste was OK but that Buffalo sauce what gave the better taste. And for the price is was worth the pricing. For 2 people. I give it 4 Stars

Popeys in Salisbury the food was great. But the worker on break couldnt keep his pants up.

Tonight was twice I had been to this Popeyes, the first time the chicken was not fresh at all and the coleslaw wasn’t their usual. Tonight I asked for spicy chicken and got regular. I just won’t eat Popeyes North salisbury any more. I will drive all the way to Seaford Delaware at least I what I ask for and pay for and curtious employees.

Missing items from the order... no... they were not busy! Watered down soda... just a general letdown from what it used to be!

Food was good, however it was very overpriced. Got the shrimp box supposed to be the $6 special. Went through the drive in, ended up paying $ 20 for 2 shrimp boxes instead of $12.

I paid for a large combo popcorn shrimp meal, and received this.They forgot my biscuit. And to top it all off I ordered door dash I call the manger they hang up twice telling me he can not hear me then I provide my problem he then proceeded to tell me to tell the door dash driver to come back so they can replace it but how if the dasher is gone and I have no contact number for them. So now I’m stuck hungry wth. Do not recommend

Food was old and not good. The cashier had a major attitude and slung our food onto the tray. Be a LONG TIME before I waste my time going here again

The younger girl employees here are usually very rude , has happened the last 3 times and it’s always a different person .. if I do come here again going to check my food before I leave because the first time the girl didn’t tell me they were low on a item , checked my sides when I got home and a large literally had the smallest scoop of food in the cup and you could tell it was old , I looked at it and thought it was a joke . I would’ve ordered something else if you were out .. . Came here again last night on the way from work and ordered the family meal, usually when you get this you get a variety of different pieces of chicken.. got home and literally has 10 or 11 pieces of thighs . If that’s all you had they could’ve said that I would’ve ordered something else or waited for fresh food and I wouldn’t of had a problem. Managers need to teach the employees how to communicate and be nice to people that are being nice to them . I said thank you nicely to the girl that handed me my food and she literally slammed the door in my face and then got one her cellphone… Lol I’m sorry fast food isn’t the job for you .

The evening staff is horrible they do not give you what you order and what they give you is either dried out or pieces that look like theyve already been eaten... Then when you take it back in theres always someone with a negative attitude trying to be smart

This was second disappointment. Chicken hardly warm , skin was not appealing (not like adverthad toRemove. Biscuit definitely not warm at all Think meal had been sitting out for sometime. Won’t b going back

Had the $6.00 box. The fried chicken, Coleslaw, mashed potatoes, and biscuit were all very good. The restaurant was clean.

Every thing I ordered was delicious except the chicken! The chicken had no seasoning on it. I did taste a little seasoning on the outside the skin. I was not happy with the taste of the chicken!!

Horrible customer service they had me park because they were waiting on chicken to cook I ended up sitting there for 25 minutes then I went inside and the manager made the comment chicken just came up 5 minutes ago. The cashier didnt bag my food she handed me a bag so I bag it they dont have to worry about my business again.

This is the worst tasting chicken I had every bought in my life. The chicken had so much red in it that they refused to give me a refund and just kept telling me it is suppose to look like that WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS POPEYESPOOR MANAGEMENT AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD GIVE 0 STARS

Absolutely incredible! I have this thing going on where I try many different chicken sandwiches, and I HAVE to tell you, this chicken sandwich takes first place! The French fries are so perfectly seasoned! The chicken sandwich was massive, and crispy and perfect. If I could rate 6 stars I would!!

Place was clean and the food was HOT and thats temperature wise... Only thing I ordered the meal and only 2 side... thought they had a meal with 2 sides but guess not. Overall good experience. The manager I guess who took my order, very nice guy.

The best Popeyes chicken I have had in years! I got the spicy wing and breast, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Service was so friendly, nice to chat with out young people!! Thank you.

Food is always good, they’ve got good meal deals for parties of any size. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was due to the staff. Any time I’ve come, whether it be recently or 3 years ago, I’ve never dealt with someone who seemed to care about the job. I know fast food isn’t the most inviting industry, but you look around at Chick-fil-A’s and Tacobell/KFC an the team is much more polite and helpful.

The bad point you cant have 2 separate orders on placing drive thru so you have to pay 1st order go around building back to order your 2nd order. This is stupid and time consuming their were no cars behind us. This must be looked into. My time is valuable

Went through the drive thru due to Lobby not being open. Had 3 cars waiting to order in front of us. We waited in line to order for 10 minutes, got up to the speaker to order, we ordered a 5 piece chicken strip meal, a regular fry and 2 chicken sandwichs. The guy taking our order rushed us, and after ordering the 2nd sandwich he said come to the window in a very rude tone... waited about 15 minutes to get to the window they took our card to pay for our order we had to ask for our card back. The lady at the window wasnt the friendliest either... got our food the fries were cold, and the chicken tenders were very chewy.

After sitting in the drive thru line for 25 minutes due to a really long slow line my food was less than impressive. The cajun fries were lukewarm and hard as rocks and my always favorite spicy chicken sandwich had 2 pickles on it a drizzle of the spicy sauce and was soggy instead of crisp. No napkins and a watered down soda completed my dining experience. This is my second disappointing time with this Popeyes and its my last. For nearly 10 dollars I can do better elsewhere.

Disappointed with Popeyes tonight. I ordered a 3 piece meal for which they did not ask white or dark and I recieved dark, which I do not like. Partly my fault. They also forgot my mash taters and gravy. Also, not impressed with nuggets. They also ran out of honey mustard by 430 pm. Will go to Kentucky Fried next time for a lot less money.

Dude… So bad. I order two 5 piece tender meals. The kid reads back exactly what I said. I get home to FRUITLAND and open the bag to find two 3 piece wing meals. My receipt says wings. HE READ BACK TENDERS. And they are TINY. Chicken little couldn’t take flight with these. How?

Food was good as always, although for the life of me Ill never figure out why Popeyes got rid of Cajun Rice! Anyway, the big problem with this particular Popeyes was the service. Ive never seen such a cluster**** in my life! Complete wrong orders, partial wrong orders, incomplete orders & just total chaos behind the counter. The manager was smack in the middle of this mess. It was obvious this has happened before just from the tone & eye rolls. People were waiting too long for food that is already prepared & ready to dish out. Customers waiting 10 minutes for things like biscuits, that were visibly ready, to complete their order. None of the chaos was from the kitchen side. Luckily I had a great employee take care of me. She took my order & put it together herself so that my order wouldnt get caught up in the ****storm of mismanagement. Would I go back again? Probably, but only if Im the only current customer.

We order 10 pieces of chicken and asked for dark meat only. The person said okay. We were in the drive-thru and it was pouring down raining. Usually we check our food before leaving the window but it was raining so hard. So we get home open the box and to our surprise. There was only one thigh. Everything else was white meat. I believe that when you are paying for something you should be able to get what you asked for. We were highly disappointed. Also the box contained seven very small chicken wings.

The staff at this location (Salisbury, MDdid a very bad job. With three cars in front of me at the drive thru it took 15 minutes to get my food. Then they left half my order out of my food bag, and refused to let me inside to correct the issue because it was 15 minutes before closing. Staff at the drive thru window looked confused and clueless from the start.Popeyes still has the best chicken

I waited over 30 min after placing my order and they forgot about me. I had to walk to drive threw and ask the customer at the window to let them know I been waiting 30 min. The popeyes employee said" oh what, what did you order" them 10 min later I finally got my order. She tried to tell me my chicken just got done. I spent over an hour there from pull up to pull off. And the order was luke warm. I dont mind waiting for fresh food but this is unacceptable.

Spent 15+ minutes waiting in the drive through. Spent $30 and was told I could get 1 sauce for free or spend $0.27 for each additional. Got home and didnt get one of my meals and they didnt give me my biscuit for the meal i did get. Beyond disappointed. Not my first bad experience there either.

I went to the N Salisbury location for dinner in the drive thru & they couldnt get my order right. I got the $23.99 family deal & asked for 5 mild legs and 5 spicy thighs, & they gave me the right thighs but I only got 3 legs & they were spicy. If they werent chit chatting while putting together my order, then they would have gotten it right.

I ordered The Twisty Wicked Shrimp, one spicy chicken breast. I got home and had a box of not spicy wings and a spicy chicken leg, mashed potatoes and a pie... not only am I disappointed, I’m sure someone else is too. I live 8 miles away. I am not going back in to Salisbury. Again it will be a long time before I go back☹️☹️☹️

This location is the friendliest Popeyes I have ever been to! I just had a bad experience at another location near the college 10 minutes before and I was greeted by the staff as soon as I walked in and treated with care and asked for my order.. the food was hot and fast and their detail to attention was nice..also the store was clean and being swept as we entered. Will return to this location exclusively!

The Chicken Sandwich was bangin! The chicken was perfectly cooked with thick, juicy crisp dill pickle slices on a buttery brioche bun! You are definitely giving Chick Fila some much needed competition! You also have much better sides to choose from!

Order not right. Chicken pieces small. Biscuits hard & small, not big & fluffy. This was @ the Dover location not Salisbury.
