R Bar and Grill in Luzerne County

Ate Here twice first time was good. This past time. The service was HORRIBLE. And it wasnt even busy yet. Standing at our table waiting for our check with our coats on and the waitress just looked at us after we told her we needed the check. The 2 other tables were waiting as well.

We were there with a group of about 40 people for a buffet for our group. The service and food were excellent.

I will gladly travel 40 minutes for this place. The wings are that good

Had my best friends baby shower here and I have to say....from start to finish, everything was perfect! The owner was great throughout the whole process, our bartender was awesome, the food was amazing, the place was clean, and spacious, and it was set up very nicely! Theres tons of parking too! Awesome place all around!!!

I loved the Papa (smokey blue cheese), and the cajun wings were incredible!

All the workers were quite friendly. My supper was made so well .I personally loved the coconut 🥥 🍤 shrimp.Also the outrageous bacon cheese waffle fries,with a delicious bacon mozzarella burger made perfectly with Ciabatta bread.Great old fashion one of a kind historical ambiance Restaurant/Bar.

Wings and pizza were good. We went on wing night which is a real good deal for wings. My mixed drinks were a little much though.

Have gotten take out and have dined in. Amazing food and amazing service! Will definitely be coming back!

A friend insisted the wings here were the best. I wasnt as impressed. We actually placed a rather large order, and we were told we couldnt get multiple flavors. Then they said they could give us all dry and put the sauces on the side. When we got there to pick up the order, the lady scowled at us and said they would "never split an order again". We told her we were told we had to order it that way. When we got home we discovered they DID do the order with the sauces on the wings instead of on the side. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Awesome food and great atmosphere!

The food and staff are amazing. I asked where they have been my whole life because they understand that condiments are what makes the food and the fact that they have score cards to keep track of the many different sauces they have,makes me want to keep going back.

Foods alright but you pay 6$ more for a dozen if you want two separate sauces.. one dozen of all the same sauce is 16$.. but if you get two separate orders of 6 its 22$... Little outrageous

Looked like a nice place, but after waiting 10min at a non-busy bar, and having two others served first, I left.

We were there for a private party. Friendly workers. Good food. It was nice for a older bar and grill

First off, the staff were all very friendly and treated my table very well. The hostess and waitresses were all polite and made sure we were taken care of. They have a great selection and everything i tried i loved. I had the ghost pepper wings and the breakfast burger. The wings were a thicker, kind of chunky style sauce. Really good flavor and very meaty wings. The burger was great. The bun seems like a lot for a burger at first, but its got a really good consistency and tasted amazing. The burger itself had excellent flavor and a nice little char around the edges. Not over seasoned or under salted. I tried the regular and jersey fries. If you like traditional style fries, the regular are perfect. If you prefer a thicker, seasoned style fry (almost like a mashed potato like consistency), the jersey are also really good. Definitely come back a few times because theres a lot of really delicious stuff on the menu.

Excellent food and drinks. The pickle bloody Mary was incredible. Every now and then you find a little unexpected place in a little town, this is one of them.

They have a great drink menu and theres literally something for everyone- ESPECIALLY WING LOVERS! They have soo many sauces to choose from, the hardest part is deciding which ones! Staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is totally comfortable!

First time ever here. Highly impressed with food and service. Wish it was closer to me but will def6come again when in the area! Highly recommended!

Atmosphere is great. However, service was slow. Took 20 minutes to seat the people coming in the door with plenty of open tables. The General Tso wings were good. The wings were a large cut and worth the price. The dill pickle pizza was a bit on the greasy side. Overall not a bad experience.

The beers went down good. The cheddar bacon waffle fries were the bomb and the chicken cheese steak was really yummy. Was enjoying everything so much I forgot to take pictures.

I go here with my step dad, and family. (The drum family!!I really love it here. Its a comforting vibe, it means a lot and im happy to always come here. Amazing service, I love the hot wings!!

Hands down, best food (tons of novel wing sauce options), cold beer and a great time! Service is always top notch, the decor is upbeat and atmosphere is great!

The service here is blazing fast (we dined inand the menu is huge with tons of options for food and drinks. Also worth noting is their massive amount of wing sauces to choose from.

Was joined by family here for a funeral. We came real early and they got the food togather for us so we didnt have to wait. Hot food, cold drinks, great service.The owner and the bartender were super helpful, met the cook outside also super friendly. A+ and thank you!

Had the best time with my husband & son. Large portions we took food home. Amazing favor and staff is so friendly. We watched the game and are waitress was so sweet and refilled us right away. 100% coming back here again.

On the outside, R Bar looks to be nothing out-of-the-ordinary, spare a few vintage autos out front. Inside it is a cool sports and automotive themed spot with plenty of tvs and seating. Until now, I only had takeout. But it was so good I knew it had to be even better fresh, and I was right. Everything was delicious! There are so many wing sauces to choose from and my guest and I struggled to pick. We ordered one wet sauce and one dry rub - the wings were enormous and both were generously seasoned. My burger was messy as the menu said, but very good. It this place wasnt 40+ minutes from my house Id be here very often...but Ill definitely be back.

Excellent service. Easily the best burger in the area. Everyone was friendly. Large selection of wings. Id recommend to anyone to try out this place. We will be back for sure.

We recently found the R Bar and absolutely love everything on the menu. The food is really good, the service is excellent and the workers are always so friendly. The best part of the R Bar is the owner is a true animal lover!

This was my first time here -- lots of parking and the inside has a decent amount of seating. When you enter you have to go down a small flight of stairs to get to the restaurant but they do have a stair lift if you cant do stairs. Décor is cool with a "construction" road sign vibe. Lots of TVs if you want to watch a game.I heard great things about the wings from different people so Ive been wanting to try it. My friend and I arrived around 5:30 on a Wednesday and were seated right away. They have different specials on different days--it was flatbread and cheap draft night when we were there. Our server came over after we had a few minutes to peruse the drink menu. I ordered a cider that was on draft and my friend got a mini fish bowl peach drink that she really liked. They have a very large list of sauces to choose from--(60 sauces and 13 dry rubs). I ordered 12 wings--6 with salt & vinegar dry rub and 6 dry with a couple different sauces on the side to try (Sriracha Basil, Sweet Thai Chili and Japanese Yum Yum). The sauces on the side will cost you a few extra bucks, but no biggie. The Sriracha Basil sauce was perfectly spicy with a great flavor and was easily my fave of the three. Im a fan of the salt & vinegar dry rub but Ive had this before at other restaurants and the taste is generally the same. I wish I wouldve gone outside my comfort zone and tried a dry rub such as porketta or taco ranch. Next time. I did take my other half some Sweet Bourbon and Vidalia Onion (my friend recommended these). He loved the Sweet Bourbon but said the Vidalia Onion lacked flavor. Obviously it just comes down to taste preferences.Wings overall were good but Ive definitely had better wings at other restaurants. Maybe people rate this place so great because of the variety of sauces? They definitely have some intriguing sauces such as "steak and potato," "pepperoni pizza," "smoky tomato bacon" "chocolate bacon" and a ton more which makes me want to visit again to try the different flavors. From what Ive sampled, the sauces are great!My side of garlic parm fries were really good! They also offer healthy eating choices--two kinds of salads and the option to order a turkey burger with or without the bun. They also offer a side of veggies in lieu of fries for only $1 extra. Prices are really reasonable.

Well given the circumstances with the way the country is in pandemic mode, this place handled the onslaught of people in the bar and dining room with ease. We thought we were going to have to wait quite a while for our food but service was excellent. The food was fantastic. We had a party of 12 and we were accommodated nicely. I love their hamburgers! Few places left out there that let you order your burger pink or no pink!!!!! Tasty!

Just order 18 wings xxcrispy mild and was told 20 min. showed up with plenty of time remaining being we are literally 5 min away. got home to cold and rubbery chicken wings that had some sort of ketchup sauce on it. never did I have such horrible wings. dont recommend wings from here. first time ordering and will be last.

Got some boneless bites and fries. Fries were drenched in butter and bites were cold. Not just cooled off...cold. they were supposedly replaced and made fresh but came back out from the microwave. (and were still coldMy partners burger was also really greasy. Best part of the meal was the blueberry Long Island iced tea, which was yummy and worth the price. May go back for a few drinks and to try again, everyone has bad days. But we shall see.

First time there and was very impressed. Burger stole the show with very fresh angus beef with crispy edges and a good quality chabatta roll. Wings were fresh and good quality. Wing sauces tried were sweet chili blue cheese, spicy jalapeno ranch, BBQ and honey mustard all good flavor. Pizza was average, the dough seemed like store bought. Bacon cheddar waffle fries were good with fresh crispy bacon crumbles. Beer battered onion rings had good flavor but were a little under cooked and oily. Gave 5 stars for the burger, would make the 45 minute drive for their burger again.

First time here. I was on a 30 minute break and needed something fast. The place was very busy with both dine-in and takeout. My order of coconut shrimp was ready in less than 10 minutes. The shrimp was cooked just right and served with a sweet cream sauce. Loved the food and the service was fast and very friendly. I hope to return here again.

Not so impressed.Now I know why I havent been there in a while.Wings were so so, at best.Good sauce.Not cooked to my liking.I like crispy, but still moist inside. I asked for "crispy". They were over cooked chicken jerky wings. Ordered more regular /normal /not specifying crispy. And they still werent good with me.3*s were for service and ice cold beer. (could have been 5*. But wings dropped the overall rating)

So far really enjoy this place. Wings have been good each time, the grilled cheese sandwich unfortunately was so salty it felt like it was burning your mouth. The mozzarella sticks were also quite tasty. Would certainly recommend stopping by here. They have had a couple highly rated beers on tap that were surprising. Highly recommend their hottest wing flavor, the ghost peppers are not that hot but pack a great amount of flavor. Also one of the only places carrying bearded barrel brewing right now in the area.

We had a great experience. The menu had some unique choices including a "wing flight" (4 wings with your choice of 4 different wing sauces)! The service was good and the food came out quickly. Everything was as ordered and delicious. The prices were reasonable. The entrance is not marked very well and once inside you have to decide to go up or down stairs, once again, not marked well! (Go down!Ive heard this place could be hit or miss but our experience was definitely a HIT!

So many wing options and theyre all so good! They even have a wing flight to get a taste before you commit to one flavor...they have 85 flavors!

Great food and great prices. Traveled from Sunbury and it was a nice scenic drive in the mountains. We got there and staff was so nice and didnt have to wait for service. We had wings and build your burger, crab fries and garlic parmesan fries. Everything was amazing. Draft beer and we tried the mixed drink 4 piece flight sampler. We will definitely come back

Very good wings. They have so many different flavors, its almost 100. Nice waiters. I recommend going there on Tuesday for wing night. Location is also good for watching Sunday foodball.

Really cant be beat. Great food. Great prices. The wings are awesome. Ill give a couple recommendations as well. First the Reuben is outstanding, possibly the best in the valley. The bloody Mary is pretty good. Then for wing flavors I always do some medium and some classic pub. The medium is kind of sweet and a bit spicy. Then the pub has a great savory flavors. I then I use my third flavor to try out new options. Most recently I tried the dill pickle dry rub which was good and much cleaner. They also have a flavor of the night that changes regularly as well so plenty of options
