Its 81km far from the Kodaikanal. You can easily find cabs and public busses to reach Kodaikanal from here.

This is very small station of 3platforms and located on the way to dindigul. From kodaikanal we took taxi for kodai road station which charges around 2500. The road journey is really beautiful. The station is well maintained but only issue is announcement is not loud and clear, also the coach position display is not available.

This station is intended for the passengers , who came to visit Kodaikanal (A mountain tourist place). Lot of taxis available to go the hill. Cute small station

Exit the station, turn left, and walk 200 metre to local bus statio. Ride the bus to Vattalkund (charges 15 rupees). Dont trust the cab and car people that will approach you and give you misleading information. Many buses will be available to take you to Kodaikanal once you get to Vattalkund (75 rupees per head).

This station has no lights on the platform. Looks like a junk yard or dump yard of Indian Railways.

Fantastic infrastructure to travel Kodaikanal, road need to improve marking and lighting. Need to improve lot fecelity for travelers

In Nilakottai area, neatness to improved. No decent lodges, food also. V attended csi christ church, wed, nice, very clean church and magnam hall reception. Otherwise roads to be improved.

Very Small And Basic Railway Station. Few Express Trains Have Halts Here. Need Some Maintaience.

It has a lonely railway station with virtually no passengers except certain occasions. There is no coach specific sign board in railway platform. The place has no specific business interests and has no importance except having a railway station. At the buses to kodaikanal is also very rare from this place. Kodaikanal is 83 KM fron here

One of the best track in south india for bikers and hill station lovers. Excellent and mind blowing views all around the ghat road. Must visit place for travellers and bikers who loves to travel through ghat roads.

Most important tourist attractions point in southern part of India, its located near Madurai. The railway station is not proper maintain, less facilities. No coach position display, 1 tea shop on platform. Not proper clealned worst condition of platform no 2&3 no proper light no wash room. Better to catch train from main Madurai or Dindigul Railway station if youre train in night time.

It was very unfriendly to physically challenged or elderly people. Theres no cover for passengers waiting to board and we got caught in pouring rain last night and had to board the train all wet.

Kodaikanal Road Railway Station connects commuters to Chennai, Madurai, Erode, Trinulveli and others parts of the Tamil Nadu. Outside the railway station, youll get mini cabs but they charge a lot. If you are going to Kodaikanal, then you should take bus either. Bus service is fine and will take 3 hours from Kodai Road Railway station to Kodaikanal main town.

Station is small, but clean. No source for breakfast....only tea n coffee. Not seen rest rooms. Dont depend for facilities of normal Railway Station.Govt.busses are available at one hour frequency from 4:45 am to 7:00 am to reach KDK. Charge is 75/-.Private Taxi is available on bargain from 1000 to 1200/- to drop KDK town. No Uber/Ola/ prepaid taxi service at the station.Station to KDK roads are good.One can stop at Silver waterfalls before reaching KDK town, if travel by private transport.

Kodai Road station was Very very Dirty. But Dindugal Station was very clean.

A small station with less amenities to passengers. As the name says, it is most dependant on the tourists of Kodaikanal. Platform No.1 is just ok. Whereas Platform No.3 is where the trains to Chennai and other destinations stop, has no adequate roofing. Highly exposed to open heat. Better maintenance required.

A basic station, main purpose to connect Kodaikanal hills. Mostly trains to Chennai arrive in 3rd platform.

It is a small station and there is no much facilities like cafeteria, rest area and toilets. Railways need to improve facilities here. This station is the nearest one to reach kodaikanal(80kms from hereso many express trains have stoppage here including Tejas express. Its the railway station for going to kodaikanal hill station ..but to the hill station best way is bus ..u can take bus from madurai,Chennai ,across all Tamil Nadu ..but dont come by train ..from railway station to go the top it takes again almost 7-8 hrs in bus ..if u r here then take one bus to the main bus stand at batlagundu..u can ask at the pan shop .they ll guide u ..the last bus to kodaikanal hill top leaves at 8 pm from batlagundu ..soo better way is by bus ..direct to the hill top ..

Very poor facilities in the who will step down at nights. Retiring room is not for for passengers. Better start from madurai or Dindigul junction kodaikanal.

Kodaikanal is best place for family, friends & couples. Take govt. Bus from outside of Kodaikanal railway station, they will charge .₹75 to Kodaikanal ( dont take caband after that you have to take taxi for covering all places in Kodaikanal. Kodaikanal railway station is small railway station. Outside only few or we can say 1-2 food stalls available.

One of the superb summer vacation spot in Tamilnadu India.. weather is so super in mid summer of may month.. but roads are very narrow in especially Kodaikanal town area.. otherwise all are good

Roads are very small, but it feels crazy to drive here. Make sure not to go during night time, its hard to notice deep valleys and if you go make sure you have all the vehicle documents or else you will pay huge bribe there. Journey will be more exiting and wonderful than the destination.

Kodaikanal ..there are many long 🌲 tree ... beautiful scene we enjoyed this place... well maintained ..... many movie shooting here...and wooden toy we can easily buy....

This is the Nearest station to Kodaikanal. Neat and clean. Not much facilities as this is a small station. we can get the cabs from here to Kodaikanal hill station. Couple of Tea stalls are there outside of the station. If you want breakfast/snacks better to prefer the hotels which are on the way to Kodaikanal.

This place is just the beginning to go to Kodaikanal. The bus frequency from kodaikanal road to Kodaikanal is very less.Once you reach kodaikanal road railway station, you will only see cabs (no auto rikshaw anywhere herefor you to go to Kodaikanal.If you are having good money, take the cab ( if you are just two people, possibly speak to someone in the platform itself and plan to book all four seats as one family). It Should charge 1500/-. Alternatively one can get down at Dindigul (DGalso, a bigger town, which entails a longer road travel, approx 95 km.
