Great appetisers and service but they dont take temps on the burgers and was really overcooked and dry

Food was as expected - amazing! I was very surprised walking in, I’ve heard about this place on the radio so many times and thought it was much bigger. Very small quaint atmosphere. What I can say is again the food was amazing and the staff was beyond expectations! Friendliest waitresses ever!!!I cannot recommend this this place more! You will not regret anything about your visit here!

Everything about this place was excellent! The food was delicious. Especially the alligator balls and fries! Didn’t matter what sauce you get foryour wings they all were delicious.You won’t be disappointed. Every drink was on point and perfect. The ownerand our server was very generous and friendly.

Cahaba Blonde (beer), cheeseburger and fries all delicious. Staff were welcoming and service was great.Ive only been in town for a week, but I would highly recommend.Good atmosphere, view, and enjoyable walk from the parking spot.

Great service and food. Would give 10 stars, but theres only 5. My 14 y/o ordered the venison burger and now says he has a new favorite burger place. I had the Bison and seriously considered the Yak Burger after Jordan mentioned it (seasonalso I may give it a try next time. The Mrs. had the Sportsman and enjoyed it and noted there were too many flavors to pick a favorite flavor. She may try the Elk next time.

Wow what an incredible dining experience! My wife ordered the Bacon Brisket Burger with smoked ghost cheese and grilled onions and I got a Bison Tomahawk steak cooked medium rare. My wife said it was the best burger she ever had and the steak I got was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten as well. The owners were very gregarious and hospitable and the servers attentive and helpful. This is one of the best places to eat in Tuscaloosa bar none.

Great burgers and great service. Blaire was amazing, took care of a big group with a full house. Get there early for lunch and try the Sportman Burger.

The food is excellent and very different from what you can get any where else in Tuscaloosa or even in many metro areas. The service was also great and well definitely be back when were in town.

Very unusual restaurant, but excellent food and friendly staff! You can get meat from all kinds of animals here: beef, pork, kangaroo, alligator, elk, deer, etc. Fantastic eatery with something thatll surely be a new experience for everyone! The manager is incredibly friendly and personal as well; he came to our table and had a nice conversation with us.

Great wild game, elk burger was superb, gator chunks were excellent with the spicy dip. Wait staff friendly. Cant wait to try the Yack and Python on the specialty menu! We will be back!

Food was wrong. Ordered gator got chicken. Missing bacon on a bacon cheese burger. This was after they already corrected some of the missing vegetables on the burger. Wont be going back. Fries were okay.

This restaurant is astonishing!! The food is everything you could want seasoned and cooked to perfection. The service is how you would want to be served everywhere you go. I never felt not wanted or rushed. I am going to recommend this to all I come across, as one of the greatest restaurant to eat at in tuscaloosa.

Food is amazing, the bison burger was delicious and their Kentucky Barrel Bourbon Ale on draft was amazing.

The burgers, fries, chips, gator bites, customer service, everything was AWESOME!!!!! The burgers were SOOOOOO juicy. Bathrooms were very clean which is a major thing for me. I will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone.

We shared the Gut shot fries. Elk and bison chili on cheese fries. Real good. She had the Wagyu beef burger and I had the Colorado (Elkburger! Food was delivered in a timely manner and was delicious. Place is small, so expect to wait if you get there later in the evening. Price was comparable with surroundings establishments.

These exotic game burgers are unreal. The duck bacon is simple the best. I had the sportsmen burger which is a pattie made of wild boar, elk,bison, and Kobe beef with quail egg, duck bacon and mushroom. The other burger was a sheikh burger made with camel duck bacon and a Dijon sauce. They were cook to perfection and were so clean tasting. Definitely going back. Got to try the kangaroo burger.

Heard of this place on 95.3 the bear and had to come try it out and I promise you it was the best decision of my week the burgers are phenomenal and the gator is absolutely delicious i highly recommend yall come give them a try

Good dive. They have exotic game meat. Every thing was delicious. They snapping turtle bits were chewy but tasty. Gator balls were great. My antelope burger was great. Jordan provided great service

Heard about this place and decided to give it try, unbeknownst to me that they do exotic meat. Boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. We started off with the Gun Shot Fries, which were amazing. I got the Sheikh burger (camelwith onion rings. Officially takes 1st place, best burger I have EVER eaten!! Will definitely be back!! Cant wait to try some other things from here.

A pleasant and unusual experience in the Tuscaloosa restaurant scene of chicken finger, Mexican, and barbecue places which saturate our city, as if only the college students go out to eat. Staff and owner are very engaging and attentive. Good selection of exotic meats, beer and a few whiskeys. I know rent is high, but I wish it was simply bigger.

Ordered the Wyoming burger (bisonwith bacon. Very tasty with a generous serving of fries. Highly recommend.

I went there with a girlfriend the other night and we split an angus cheeseburger and a kangaroo burger. i was scared at first to try the kangaroo but i was delightfully surprised how much i enjoyed its gamey flavor. We also started out with some alligator as an appetizer and it was paired perfectly with their house made swamp sauce. The owners were extremely helpful and hospitable and so were the staff. This is definitely one of the best and unique dining experiences in Tuscaloosa.

This was THE place that my son wanted to make sure that he visited before he deployed for the Navy. The food is great. The staff and owner are very engaging and always make a point to make sure we are completely satisfied with our dining experience.

I went Friday night. It didnt seem like it was following any sort of social distancing at all. It was packed, every table and the bar, if I remember correctly. The waitress wasnt very attentive. Several people in our party were out of drink half the time. My ticket was mixed up with another member of our partys. When we switched, mine was good, but his actually had something wrong. I dont think he told anyone though. He just wanted to pay and leave. I dont think he was feeling well. It was loud. I got the Wagyu and black truffle burger. It wasnt my thing. I shouldve requested it be cooked longer. It wasnt bad. I just wouldve preferred a regular burger that was cooked more. That being said the fries were awesome. The owner spoke to us several times and was very nice and welcoming. The waitress was also nice.

Awesome experience at Raised On Country.I had the Sportsmans Burger, and seasoned fries. Price is waaaay better than reasonable. Staff was incredible, from owner to server.5/5 highly recommend. This restaurant has made a fat kid smile.

Great experience. Great staff. The food is awesome. Definitely a different taste than what I am used to. I honestly dont have one gripe about the service or the food.

This place is the real deal. My friend and I ordered takeout and he inhaled it before I could even get a picture. He got the sportsman burger and fries and I got the Heifer sandwich with fries. Both were delicious. They food was ready within 10 minutes of calling. If you havent given this place place try, definitely do.

Went in for lunch. Staff was super friendly and accommodating for our party of 6. Service was excellent. Everyone tried something different and we were all very happy. Food was excellent! Sportsman burger is a must try! So good! Cant wait to go back again

So I have been here a few times. It is a great place to get great food, including wild game. The first time I had the sportsman burger, which is a heck of a burger. It is loaded with protein, as it made with a half pound patty (made with a mixture of wagyu beef, elk, and bison), duck bacon, and fried quail eggs on it. The last time I went I had their 28 ounce bone-in bison tomahawk chop with salad and bake potato (steak night is Friday and Saturday). The bison chop was wonderful. It is the best steak I can recall having. I highly recommend this place, and I am definitely dropping by my next time in town.

Enjoyed the steak night this past weekend ! This spot is definitely one of those low key best food you will ever eat kind of places. All the steak houses in town and I wouldn’t waste my time or my money going anywhere else. Great bourbon selection too! If you are looking for something different in the form of burgers 🍔 they have plenty. I’m looking forward to the time I have here to try out all the different meats they offer. Oh Megan was my server and did an amazing job hats of to the staff!!!

I give this place 4 stars because their food is truly amazing. However, I’m not sure how those girls that work for the owners can deal with them.My goodness, I was afraid to drink my drink.Can people just enjoy a few minutes at your new establishment? It’s really good!

This may be the best restaurant in Tuscaloosa, the menu is always something unique. I have found myself ending up at the restaurant on a weekly basis to try the new foods and have not been disappointed yet.

I had the bison burger. I specifically asked the waitress if it was frozen and she told me it was not. When I ordered the burger I specified the temperature as wanting it medium rare. When I got the burger it was cooked well done and clearly was a frozen patty. I’ve had much better burgers at Avenue pub and wilhagans grill.

The food and the service were very good. We enjoyed every bite!

Excellent service & food today @ lumch! Tried the Elk & Bison Chili and the home made chips with a Bison burger! Kudos! Will definitely be back to try the camel burger, kangaroo burger & the awesome looking Sportsman burger!! Those wings looked delish as well! Also gonna come one night & try yalls steaks! Thanks!

All the food was great with a special mention of the wings and fries which were some of the best Ive ever had. Also, duck bacon! Wait staff was friendly and attentive, and I enjoyed getting to meet the owner/chef who shared details of sourcing and preparation. It was a novel dining experience, and the food was good enough that Id be a regular if I lived in Tuscaloosa.

I heard about this restaurant from a friend so we were eager to try it out tonight for the first time. Ive been a fan of elk burgers and bison so seeing both on the menu before I go there was great. When we walked in, we were greeted rather quickly and sat upon arrival. Dining room is decorated with pictures of wild game as well as those who hunt them and all the tables and chairs felt like you were sitting in a nice hunting lodge. I would say theres seating for around 45-50 people including the bar areas. Anyways, I was really leaning toward an elk burger when I walked in but when our waitress suggested that I should try the 16oz elk ribeye which is only offered Thursday thru Saturday. So even though my heart was already set I decided to take a leap of faith and not turn her suggestion down. For starters we had the gator balls which were made from alligator, meal and jalapenos. They were great and had just enough heat to still enjoy them. Our dinners came about 10 minutes later and I ended up with one of the best ribeyes Ive ever eaten cooked medium rare with a side of grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly and I was able to cut it very easily with no gristle and just alittle bit of fat. Unfortunately I wont be able to enjoy regular beef ribeyes anymore because this made my top 5 steaks Ive ever had. My wife took on their Bison burger with the cracked pepper fries. It was delicious as well and we were very well pleased with our meal and service. I would highly recommend eating here and Im excited to go back and try something different on the menu our next Night Out.

The South Dakota Burger (Antelopewas amazing. Unique atmosphere, good service, fair value for quality. My burger came with an exuberant amount of JD frys (had some kick). Recommend going and trying.

Tried this resturant on a recomendation. I was excited to try but was far from impressed. First server was good and attentive but food took forever to come and appetizer came with food when the food came it was all mixed up they had to take back and correct. Then they came back and said they were out of a dish after 45 min waiting on our meals then it took another 20 plus min for my daughter to finally get a burger for replacement of her other item. Food was just ok, the wings were dry and not good. Will not be returning.

Went the week after opening... Host/Owner was walking around telling stories about the food, his history, and his family. Sampled the fried shrimp with a spicy sauce which was very good. My parents had bison burgers, which tasted similar to deer. I had the camel burger, which tasted similar to a regular burger at first but after a while I noticed a musty taste to it. Fries were a bit over-salted, but were peppered which was a nice addition. I also had the rattlesnake & rabbit sausage that was very good. Opening pains as most places, the sausage didnt come out until we were about to leave, so they gave it to me for free! Bit of a small place but Im sure rent prices are high in this part of town, so understandable. Will definitely come back.
