Boy the food section was JUMPING! Lol.. I went with my wife on Christmas Eve. Talk about A CROWDED STORE.. This place was never so full. But they HAD everything SHE was looking for. Yes.. the prices were to the moon; but FRIENDLY FOLKS and OVERSTOCKED ISLES and SHELVES! MUST HAVE BEEN A GOOD DAY FOR ALL!

The person, packing the groceries was bragging about his car and playing with his phone and last attention to his job.

So clean and smelled so fresh 1st time in this store great impression

terribly unorganized, had to wait 2x for a correct price check on a sale item and at that point the cashier wanted us to pay full price then go over to the customer service desk and get a refund!

Love produce because always fresh. Good selection on groceries. Bakery delicious. Cookies yummy, deli meat reasonably priced

I dont have a problem with the jewel itself, but I called to order chicken for tomorrow. Whoever was working the deli counter screamed at me had me almost in tears. I called the spring grove deli and they went above and beyond to help me. So..guess where I am going next time.

This place is great! Theres only 1 person Ive ever dealt with that frankly i hope quits or gets fired but everyone else is amazing. All i gotta say is dont tell me that Im wrong about my prescription and you know what my prescription is and blah blah blah, especially when Im telling you that i can show you my prescription and you refuse

This is the second time Ive come here and instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like my presence was bothersome to the cashier, Linda. She addressed the fellow guy before me with a happy face and cheery tone. While he was leaving she even told him to have a nice day but when it came to my check out session, I was greeted with a monotone voice and a straight face. Did not even receieve a "have a nice day" my boyfriend(someone who has manners Unlike Lindaasked her how she was doing and told her to have a nice day and her responses were "Good", "Yup". Then as we were leaving there was another customer behind us and she happily greeted the lady. I am not one to make assumptions about service but this lady seems to be a bit racist towards poc. It is a bit unfair to be treated with such disrespect, she should be kind towards all her customers no matter what they look like. She makes the face of jewel considering she is front of store

Worst customer service experience. The young short male manager with dark hair is rude and condescending. Wont be going back for over priced groceries and to be treated with disrespect.

Cashiers are always nice. The people who deliver to your car are very friendly.

Their pharmacy people are very friendly and helpful. They will take the time check all your insurance and other options to get you the lowest Rx price.

Extensive aray of spices frequently hard to find. Friendly folks. Not particularly busy so plenty of help hunting down hard to find items.

Shopping for St Patricks Day. Went to two stores for corned beef and they were $25. At Jewel they were $12. I bought 2 to freeze one.Good day at Jewel

The layout of the store is very well well done. The staff is always on the floor and available to help you locate things if you dont know where they are.. And Ive found that over the years their prices are getting better and more competitive.

Always friendly service and good sale prices. Linda on the Front End has been stellar and even the teenaged cashiers are good! Curbside pick-up is on it as well.

Inside is not bad, usually pretty well stocked. However their drive up is really hit or miss. The associates are always very, very sweet and great people. However their app to store connection is terrible. Wait times for a drive up order can be up to 25 minutes. Totally unsatisfactory for a drive up service…. I shouldn’t have to call the store when I have notified the app multiple times that I’m here and then continue to wait.

We ordered platters for Christmas. The chicken was great. The cheese platter was ok but fruit spoiled fast.

I always have good experiences at my home store but tonight was exceptionally great. In my holiday rush, I walked away from self checkout, forgetting the cash I requested. Remembering my blunder on the drive home, I pulled over & called Jewel, fully expecting it to have been lost. Remarkably, Jewel staffer Kyle P reassured me hed noticed the unclaimed stash & placed it in safekeeping. Kyle was observant, quick to take action, trustworthy and upstanding in a scenario that would have been easy to do differently. Thank you Kyle!! YOU ROCK!

I bought Jelly, and then realized after I ate it, that is was almost a year expired! The whip cream by the desserts also had a fly and hair in it! Don’t shop here!!!

IF YOU GOT TIME TO BE ON A TOILET ALL DAY THEN GEY THERE BAKED GOODS. I got a cake here and the next day I had severe cramps, vomiting and the runs. The icing was also really old. The baked goods were either over done or way underdone. Ive been going to jewel and as a baker and chef, they dont know how to do either.

Cashiers are rude! The baggers are rude and don’t care about how they pack! The store doesn’t have a wide selection.The cart retrievers get much too close to auto’s that are parked when pushing multiple shopping carts! Not a Jewel or a grocery store that I would recommend.

Well-stocked Jewel Osco, convenient location adjacent to the Chain o Lakes and all of the recreation opportunities in the area. Staff here is friendly, store is clean with great selection, plenty of self-checkout, easy parking lot.

They changed fhe meat at the deli to a more pricey brand. Not happy. No one at meat counter and no way to get them for service. An employee that was picking orders had to go get someone.

Prices are so high. I go to meijer for most of shopping cause everything product is about a dollar less than here. . I get a few things here I cant get at meijer. Plus Saturday is the big shop day . They have 6 registers open and 2 baggers...just adding that there trying to be like meijer now and have checked bag. Its NOT working. The checker is looking at me to bag. Hey Im paying your high prices at least you can do is bag

My Five Stars is strictly for Barb at the Seafood/ Meat counter. She used to work Friday’s but I haven’t seen her in a couple months and was disappointed. To my surprise I saw her today! (Apparently her hours got cutwhich is a total shame in my opinion. She is personable and remembers who you are. Nothing makes it better than when you walk up to the butcher and she already knows what you want. We small talk like neighbors and she really is the only reason I keep coming back. Her and Kathy at the deli! It’s most definitely not for the lack of baggers...

Great experience. I have not been in a Jewel for years, I shop consistently at the local competitors. I went in specifically for Irish soda bread, unfortunately you were out😔but I continued shopping and enjoyed my experience. The baker said they sold out at 2:30 that day, and typically do sell out. Please make more for your after work shoppers!!

The sushi man here is so friendly! Today he asked what I wanted and he already knew there wasn’t any in the pick up cooler, so he stopped what he was doing and made it. So good and so friendly!

Family and friends know me too well, gift card for jewel! I enjoy their wide selection every time Im here.

Great store, great staff. Dante helps me with recommendations and questions in the alcohol section; knowledgeable and funny too. Floral folk very helpful too and the cashiers work very hard. My favorite Jewel for sure.

Has a good lay out and easy to find what you need. Deli and bakery are good to. Only problem I ever have is when checking out there isnt a bagger when there is supposed to be and you pay for in the price of food.

Everyone at this Jewel is very helpful and nice. Loved that they gave out free musk melons this weekend. They have a good just for you program,which has great deals. One of the butchers ( Baldiis extremely helpful and very friendly. I love going to this store. It is kept very clean,as well.

So I was at the Jewel in Fox Lake on Friday (5/22/20after work. It was around 5pm and I was already tired. Anyway, I was buying some things in preparation for a small family gathering for Sunday for my son who graduated from UOI. I got all my shopping done and went to the last place I needed to stop at, the BAKERY. I selected a nice cake and then immediately noticed a lady working behind the counter. I said hello and simply asked if she did any decorating or writing on cakes. She responded with a very kind smile and a "yes" and walked over to me. Her name is Fay A. and she is an amazing employee. She got all the information she needed from me and proceeded to write what I requested on the cake. I also asked her if she had any decorative graduation hats for the cake. Again, she simply smiled and went and looked. She came back with one and taped it to the cake that she had already packaged up for me. Her demeanor was so positive and kind and it simply made me appreciative of the attention she gave me. So to Fays bosses and Management please go to Fay A. and let her know what I shared with you and also please give her a pat on the back with some positive recognition.

I love the RLB and Fox Lake Jewels because they dont get crazy busy like the super stores, especially later at night when I like to shop, so its a more relaxing shopping experience. I can spend hours in this store just looking at the variety of things they have. They have a small but interesting organic section too. This store can get busy, but not mobbed like the big box stores. My only complaint about this store is it needs to add a few more bathrooms, especially for the ladies.

This location has an amazing selection of deli salads and tasty treats. Pricing is not bad and you can sample before you buy. The bakery has a very large variety of pastries and desserts. Each week they offer a wide variety of sales that make it well worth shopping here. The meat and produce sections also have a great selection of fresh and flavorful items.
