I would give a negative review if I could. Without hot water (almost a month longHeat and air various times for over a week. Had to beg them to even return phone calls. Entered my place without permission several times. Constantly things not working and not getting fixed. When I moved in the place was disgustingly dirty, no light bulbs, broken blinds and windows, outlets that didn’t work, grass and lawn uncared for. Fast forward I move out - charged for those same things that were broken from day one, a professional cleaning which I had also done before moving out (yea, I have pictures to prove it), charged me a re-key fee (that should not be deducted from the security deposit). And 6 weeks later, despite their assurance that the new tenant had changed the bill over, I had $175 deducted from my account for a utility because they/ new tenant have yet officially changed the details. Stay away from these people
Had many real estate companies tell me they couldnt help me, or that they did not know how. Corbin and the team at Redzone took care of us when no one else would. As someone looking to buy a home in Utah for the first time as a foreign national, Corbin went above and beyond to make sure that we not only found a house that made sense for our family, but one that was a great investment. In this market that can make it so frustrating to find a house, Corbin made us feel confident that we not only could, but we would find what we wanted. I could not praise Corbin highly enough. Anyone who talks about buying a home within earshot will be getting a recommendation from me!
Loved working with Redzone my agent was very responsive with any questions and really cared to help me get into my first home, very happy with how hard they worked for me!
Great environment, professional and nice people. They care about their clients and train their agents frequently so they are always updated with what’s going on in the market. I recommend Redzone Real Estate to anyone looking to do any Real Estate transaction.
Very professional! I loved working with Redzone realty! Very responsive and easy to work with. All the agents are super nice. I would recommend!
The Management is very organized. Agents are Knowledgeable and Honest. Highly recommended to those who wanted to buy a Property.
My sister and I talked to CJ regarding a property. She was very helpful in answering all of our questions and was easy to speak with. She made the overall experience pleasant.
Awesome company! I wasnt able to see or apply for their last available property near me. But they went out of their way to reach out to me via email informing me of another available property nearby, wondering if I was interested. We emailed back & forth a lil then CJ gave me a call to schedule a showing & I had an appointment to see the place the very next day! They are super responsive & I love that I can reach them via email, text, & over the phone!
Absolute worst property management company I have ever had. First, the rent for the unit was higher than market prices and we were gouged with fees signing and editing the lease when new tenants moved in. The RedZone team is extremely unresponsive even during emergency maintenance situations (pipe bursting and leaking and swamp cooler being broken during a 110 degree heat spell). Furthermore, the team regularly called us from unmarked phone numbers at all hours of the day getting us mixed up with tenants at other properties and sent contractors to the unit without providing notice to us as the tenants. I only lived in a RedZone property for 6 months because I simply couldnt take it. Would equate them to slumlords. Steer clear!
EDIT: hands down the worst rental experience Ive ever had. So very glad to have them in my rearview mirror. The thing that still bothers me is that the advertisement for the duplex said "landscaping provided" but they sent over the actual agreement a week late and I was up against a deadline and signed it, only to figure out landscaping was on me and if I didnt do it well Id get kicked out. This was never resolved, I ended up doing the landscaping. The other resident of the duplex said theyd never taken care of landscaping. But as soon as we moved out the original ad went up, promising landscaping again. The next people who moved in lasted only a few months, we spoke with them and they were also fooled on landscaping and ended up taking that on. I just saw a notice that the place was back up for rent again, landscaping is promised again, and I know they know they wont actually provide it, never have and never will. Just an incredibly dishonest, fraudulent, poorly run, corrupt company.Original Post:I just want a working drier for me & my kids. I dont know what to do at this point now that the weather is turning. Its been 9 months and they just completely ignore the fix-it requests via the customer portal and it is impossible to get a hold of anyone by email or phone.
I spoke with CJ as Ive recently just signed on with a lease in Park City, Utah. Both kind and sincere with her service I was able to swiftly have my questions answered and any issues I had while signing on with her were resolved. Im looking forward to moving in at the end of the month and feel Ill be in good hands with Redzone and CJ as I start my transition and begin living at the rented property! - Justice
CJ was friendly and helpful; the whole schedule process goes smoothly with CJ’s help. She was able to answer most of my questions through the phone and also provides me more property choices to look at.
I can not understate this enough, Jesse Boone is a VERY shady Real Estate agent.. Today, 10/22/20 was our deadline to close on a property in American Fork, UT. After negotiating throughout the day, Jesse told us to send over a 24 hour extension at 3PM, so that HE could have time to think things over. After urgently calling him and his assistant multiple time before our deadline closed @ 5PM, we were forced to send over a cancellation agreement @ 4:57PM, after we sent him the extension form on HIS behalf at 3PM. Essentially, Mr. Boone was waiting for us to pass the deadline on our contract, so that we would loose our earnest money in the sum of $2000, and then he would have more power over us after our earnest money became his, and we were more committed to this property.Note: This is now the fifth buyer that has pulled out of a contact on the same exact property due to Mr. Boone’s refusal to accept a state licensed appraisal. Now here is a question to the public, is it professional to ask the buyer to send over a time extension form on behalf of the seller, and then not sign it or at least keep in contact with the buyers? After going through the entire process of home inspection, appraisal and negotiation, you could not just be forward with us, you tried to play Las Vegas with us. Ugly human being you are Sir, very unethical, and you are going to be reported for your misconduct!
Im not even sure where to start. Everything Redzone has to offer as a property management company was barely even half a star worthy. On the day our lease started, we backed in the moving truck and realized that there was literally drywall work still being done in our rental. They decided it was fair to credit us 1/30 of our rental for the month while refusing to pay for a hotel and other fees directly related to their tardiness.Things really never got better. About 2 months before we ended our lease, a leak sprung from our ceiling. We immediately contacted them to fix it. They sent someone out to survey the damage, and then LITERALLY NEVER FIXED IT. We were getting the same text from their "world-class customer service" asking us if the maintenance ticket had been taken care of. It didnt matter what we replied - we would get the same exact text a few days later. Our lease ended August 31. On Sept. 16, we received a text telling us our entire security deposit was coming back to us, and they just needed our new address. We sent it to them. Then, about a week later, we received a deposition letter telling us 95% of our deposit was being used to fix damages within our apartment. I have email, called, texted, and to no avail (and broken promises on their endI STILL have not received adequate explanation as to why.Everything about Redzone boils down to one thing: lack of internal communication. There are some serious ethical issues going on inside of this business. For starters, the final deposition letter I was sent listed the total money withheld to be more than $150 more than what they actually had listed. Before that, they tried to carve us "to be determined" charges by telling us "repairs are ongoing" when we KNEW they werent (the rental was already occupied by other tenants, and we were in contact with them). Here very soon we are going to have to start the small claims process to get our money back. If I could do it over again, we would stay far away from Redzone. I cant speak for their real estate, but they should get out of the rental property business. Their putrid rating is well deserved in our opinion.
Don’t do it. Illegal charges left and right. They tried to charge me 400$ for replacing my hazardous oven (door didn’t shutnow are charging for lawn maintenance. I don’t even have grass, plus nobody came out to tend to the yard. Did I mention I’m the upper unit with no access to a yard ? You have to haggle them into fixing anything. My stairs have even been a hazard since I moved in. All of them are loose and wobbly barely holding on.Also the place came with cockroaches. If you try to press them on the random charges theyll just stop answering the phone and never call you back
CJ was very professional. I was impressed by the fact that someone was actually answering the phone after hours. She was happy to answer the questions I had regarding the property I was interested in. I would recommend Redzone Real Estate based on my interaction with CJ.
PLEASE READ BEFORE RENTING WITH REDZONE!Renting a property through Redzone was the worst renting experience I have ever had. The company outsources EVERYTHING to the Philippines. As you would imagine, this makes getting a hold of anyone an absolute nightmare. We spent nearly one month without hot water because the off-shore maintenance department kept dropping the ball.Do not rent here!
DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!! They only want that security deposit then they leave you high and dry!!!!! About two weeks ago I called initially for property that was available. I filled out the application and was told it was first come first serve by Joy. I was also told I was the first one to fill out the application! After that I HADN’T HEARD A THING BACK!!! Nothing!!!! I called back a few days later and was informed it was already rented!!!!!! I was then told the property manager would call me!!! NOTHING!! I was then told I had to email her because that was the only way to reach her she didn’t have a phone!?!?!?!?! All she told me was they rented it and had not seen my application!!!! Then I was told I could apply for other properties. She also told me she NEVER told me I was the first person to fill out the application. SHE DID!!! Now I’m being told my application can go towards another property but it’s NON REFUNDABLE!? Nothing else was in my price range and after how I’ve been treated I why would I want to rent from you?!?! Is this how you treat all your customers????
I called to ask about a rental property on the 4th of July not expecting to hear back for at least a couple of days. CJ called me back within a couple of hours and helped me set up a viewing of the property. She was very helpful and professional
Ive been meaning to write this review for months but kept forgetting. Monica and her team were amazing! She was so kind and responsive throughout the whole process. She explains everything so its easy to understand and is willing to meet with you whenever. We couldnt have asked for a better realtor to help us buy our first home!
We just closed on a house today with Redzone. We worked with Monica Rudd and she was excellent! She was very responsive and knowledgeable to our questions about specific houses or about the house buying process as a whole. We really appreciated how prompt she was with this crazy competitive Utah housing market. We really felt like Monica cared that we found something that we loved and didnt get stuck in a bad investment or just something were werent ready for. A++!
Loved the service of this company. Was very responsive and I had the best agent ever! Monica Rudd helped me get into my first home within a fortnight. She always answered all my question and helped me out all In a timely manor. Get her she rocks !
Monica Rudd is the best Agent ever! She is so fun to work with, not to mention her dedication is out of this world! Even though we had some bumps in the process due to qualifying, Monica went out of her way to make things work & we hardly felt the stress of it all because she was so reassuring & dedicated to us! I would give her & her team a 10 star rating if it allowed!Thank you Monica & the Redzone team!!
When I bought my home, Monica Rudd was a great help. She was very professional and listened to why I wanted in a home. We found a house that I am still in and love it. She made the whole process go very smoothly and was helpful through it all. Thanks Monica 😁
Monica Rudd was an excellent agent! She got us the perfect home, hassle free. Monica is great with details and very responsive. Highly recommend her as an agent!
Tatum was an amazing realtor. From start to finish, he had my best interest in mind. He went above and beyond to help me get the best deal and followed up promptly. He helped me think of things I didn’t even know I needed to think about. I highly recommend him and his firm. They made home buying a simple process.
Our agent has been extremely responsive to our needs. He has been readily available to show us homes and when we went under contract, he came to the house to let us in whenever we wanted to see it. Connor Dyches is a great realtor!
I do not know what infinite wisdom leads an SLC real estate company to outsource their customer service to India (24/7 availability but there is always a cost to that- take it as a giant red flag. They also, without my knowledge or permission, gave my contact information to a home loan business (who then called me multiple times per daywhen we were merely trying to get basic rent info. Shady and disrespectful. We backed out of a property for this reason alone. You think some company that outsources the most basic functions to some call center in India is going to fix basic needs or refund any due deposit? Give these guys a hard pass if you want a renting experience with any semblance of normalcy. Clearly, MBAs dont buy common sense.
Please listen to these 1 star reviews! I set up an appointment to look at an $800 a month basement unit. When I got there, the unit we were looking at was occupied as an airbnb, it was not the unit I had an appointment for, and it was $1400. When I pointed this out, the guy showing the place basically just says bummer. These people are incredibly unprofessional, rude, and disorganized. Stay away at all costs!
I don’t know if this company is unethical or just incompetent. For some reason they don’t want to pay me rent in the same month they collect from the tenant. The reasons they told me were accounting issues, too many holidays in a month, and accounting issues. The house was brand new and everything was under warranty and I told them that. I still got a bill for $350.00 for garage repairs.
FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD.... I was interested in one of the properties they had listed, I knew the property owner and had it worked out with the owner that he was going to rent to my roommate and I and we were told that we had to apply with this company. What we were not told is that the company had people they were leasing to and they took our $50 application fee anyway, knowing full well that they already had tenants for the property. I read the reviews from other people who were taken advantage of and what I read pretty much sums up my experience with them. STAY AWAY from them.
We reached out about a rental property and after 30 minutes of waiting nobody showed up to our 1:00 appointment! Tried calling multiple numbers and only ended up getting voicemails never talked to a real person. Texted what I assume was a computer and they stopped texting back when I asked where the realtor was! Glad I didnt end up renting from this company I can only imagine how they treat their tenants! Horrible experience!
Ive had dealings with this company on two separate occasions. The first time was a rental home, with a reasonable price. Problem was, I had to talk to pushy people with accents so strong I could barely understand what they were saying. When it finally came time to see the house, the main person "couldnt make it" and the home was shown to me by someone who know absolutely nothing about the home. Fast forward a year, and here comes the second incident. The owner of the company was showing the house. Only problem was, he showed up late, was on the phone the whole time and barely had any communication with myself and the other family that was there to view the home. After viewing the home I was inundated with texts about starting an application and when the next showing was, even after I told them I wasnt interested. There is a serious lack of professionalism in this company. I have worked in the sales world and know how it is supposed to work. This is not it! Pushy people trying to make a sale. Makes you feel like youve stepped back into the sale world of the 80s. No time for the customer.....serious failure and unprofessional-ism. The next time I look at a property, I will be sure to find out who is showing it. If it is this company, I will be headed the other way. I highly suggest you do the same!
They never showed up for the 2 pm appointment. After applying online and taking our $50 application fee, they didnt get back to us until I left a message about how unhappy we were. When she did respond i she was rude and couldnt find our application and wanted more money. Do not use this company.
Avoid this company! They dont respond to tenants or owners. Weve put in maintenance request only to be ignored over and over again in the least 6 months. The one time I got a hold of anyone, they said the maintenance crew will call me. They never did. The company never responded to my follow up calls either. When we moved in a year ago they were okay. Since then the two decent employees no longer work there and Redzone hasnt been in contact with us as tenants for 8 months. Our lease is up now. Its time to move out and we got the strangest email from them. I cant get anyone to call me back to set up move out appointments. Im worried that we will never see our deposit again. I dont take giving a low review lightly. This company is not someone you want to do business with.UPDATE- our lease is up. Their automatic payment system took out one too many rent payments. After acknowledging that they owed us over $2000, we were told they would mail us the check of the money we over paid. Its been three weeks since then. I call about 2 times a week and get told that they will "forward my request" to get my money back to the billing specialist. I dont get a response from emails I send.
Potential renters beware. They will not give your security deposit back. Its been almost 3 months now and theres been nary a sign of it. Its almost impossible to get a hold of them no matter which method you try. And when you do its always "well talk it over with the team and get back to you." Spoilers, they never do. They also would take forever to fix something when I was living there and one time I came home to a notice saying they were going to shut down the electricity because it hadnt been paid. We werent in charge of paying the utilities, it was their responsibility.
Absolutely horrendous, as all of the other comments that actually have a description and dont appear to just be blank 5 stars from a probably non existant person. First off they tried to explain the security deposit clause of the lease like we were 5. It states for anyone interested. "Resident agrees to promptly reimburse the security deposit within five (5days after a notice is given" after pointing out that we understood what it was trying to get across and that it should say owner and not renter, at which point we got told"ohh its just a typo"...a typo...in a legally binding document...it doesnt work that way what it says it what is in the courts. Also our listing was placed in all caps "ALL UTILITIES INCLUDED" then when actually reading through the lease its utilities clause states there is $80 flat fee on top of thr rental amount stated, electricity not included. The rental property we applied for ended up going from around 850 a month to almost 1000 in their hidden fees and outright lies for advertisment. When questioned on the utilities portion and that they had explicitly stated something else we were told they would figure it out and contact us asap. That was 5 days ago and we still have no response. And dont waste your time trying to talk to somebody owner or manager on it, they will just continually hang up on you or send you to voicemail. Do not even apply with these outright conmen and crooks. You will regret it
I was thinking of renting a property in West Valley . I was told to apply and that there would be a background check that would cost $50. I went through every hoop they had asked. The owner of the property decided that they no longer wanted to rent the property out. This is understandable , so I reached back out to Red Zone to tell them that I wanted my $50 back for the background check they first asked if I wanted to rent another property and I decided NOT too at that point. They then stated that they would refund the monies immediately. This never happened , and when I would call I always got the desk lady or a voicemail. I calledover 15 times. I never got my refund from the agency , I did however get a refund from my bank . They bank said it was fraudulent. This business is feckless in the least and should be avoided.
I was a helper for family not a renter. If you are looking to rent/lease and you are on housing sect 8 there are a few things to know that will help make your experience smoother:They initially said they had worked w/housing before, but later found out that it wasnt section 8, because it took them a few weeks to review housing section 8s mountain of paperwork. When calling or emailing you will want to be addressing George Fernandez and/or MariBeth/Beth (client care). Its difficult to get a hold of Jesse Boone (at least it was for us). Once you talk to Beth you will want to get her direct number and also her mobile number to be able to text with her. Beth is not hard to work/talk with if you are willing to just listen/let her talk to explain, then if you are still unsure about something review what you think you understand and she will correct you if needed. She has an accent so you need to listen to her carefully and in a quiet area. Be nice to her and she is nice to you. You will likely be talking to her the most when signing a lease agreement and there are many steps in this process especially if on housing section 8.Take really good notes on a pad with plenty of paper. Write date & time spoken (or message left), with whom you spoke, your question with answer, etc...the usual stuff but dont skip this part of the process or it may get too confusing and you may miss/forget things.Once you sign a lease agreement you are locked in for the term of lease. You cant back out (unless they make rare exceptions....not sure, but doubt itso make sure its the place you want before signing. You will want to actually read the whole lease agreement so you are aware of ALL their expectations and the process by which they want things handled. It takes time to read the lease so try to get a copy of it sent to you via email. The sooner the better. If you arent sure of your move in date try to figure it out based on where you are in the process with Housing section 8 so you can give a projected move in date, but tell Beth it could change. She can change the official lease agreement move in date but only once or maybe twice and it takes effort for her to get it accomplished. The Portal that is used for signing lease electronically, and adding renters insurance (mandatory for ours), pet licence, etc, etc, it will show a Ledger overview when you are in the Portal in Payments section (Payments represent what you have already paid-NOT what is due). So, to see an itemized list of what you have paid (or credited back, which has a minus symbol in frontjust click on Ledger and it will show you more details with reference numbers for each payment.Make sure that you have ALL the money ready to be paid for the Security Deposit before signing the lease, plus also the money for the Initiation Fee, AND that Housing Sect 8 has reviewed the lease with ample time to be able to make their portion of payment so you can move in because Red Zone wants a zero balance before you move in...so be prepared with extra money, on your end, to cover Housing Sect 8s portion if need be. When Housing finally makes payment then you should be credited in Portal for your portion of rent for the coming month(s).The whole process, for us anyway, began on 04/13/19 (walk thru at the house to be rentedand was finally completed on 06/07/19.Once you get keys take a detailed description of anything that is needing fixed with pictures, and log it in the Portal under the Maintenance section. They dont want you changing things in property without their explicit written consent. But asking for a laundry list of things to be done should be within reason. Explain why you need something fixed if it seems petty on paper so they understand. How long it takes for them to make simple or complicated repairs...unknown as of yet. However, the lease agreement does state that they will do them in a timely manor. There was many confusing conversations, and delays on ALL ends.Hopefully this review can help make a smoother process for any prospective renters.
Do not rent from these thieves! They are deplorable. First off, when we rented from them they took forever to fix anything, if they ever did. It took almost 2 weeks to fix our heating because they wouldnt hire anyone legit to come in during the day, only someone moonlighting after hours. They only got the issue resolved when we threatened to repair and deduct. They also told us they would repair many issues in our initial walkthrough, which never were addressed or fixed. We were also over 24 hours without plumbing because they wanted to find a cheaper company rather than go with the first ones they contacted.More importantly though is the fact that they have yet to return our security deposit. They waited more than the legally allowed 30 days to say they would send it because they needed the next tenants to move in. Now they say "the check is in the mail." This all screams that they have poor accounting skills and are lying about having our money. So now we are going to be forced to take them to court, wto hich the owner told me he "doesnt respond well to threats." Its not a threat. Its the last resort we have to recover what is rightfully ours and if they werent so awful, it wouldnt have had to come to this.Lastly, everyone except Mindy has extremely poor customer service skills. Scratch that, they lack basic decency and communication skills.Final takeaway? Stay as far away as you can from this dishonorable group of jerks.
This is by far the worst real estate team I have come in contact with. I was contacted to schedule a tour to see a house I was looking to rent. I gave them all my information and was told I would be contacted in 24 hours. Two days later I try to schedule another showing because I was still interested in the house. I get an email from a different person asking the exact same information i have already given them and a text message asking for an email address. I can not believe how unprofessional this is.
I was extremely interested in a property and ready to move quickly on it, but I had some questions about the application process. I reached out 5 separate times (3 phone calls and was placed on a call list, a text and a direct email to the listing agentand NO ONE RESPONDED! After the lack of urgency and communication, I have decided to do business elsewhere. I would give zero stars if Google allowed me to.
This is the most unresponsive, unprofessional company I have ever worked with. I have been leaving daily voicemail, email and text messages for them for over a week.I rent a home from them and received a text notification that I have to use an app to pay my rent, but my login doesnt work. I am trying to GIVE THEM MONEY and no one will call me back! The response for maintenance issues is about the same. My furnace is not working. They text me to call an "Emergency Maintenance Number" that goes to a carpet cleaner who says he does not do maintenance and that THEY GIVE HIS NUMBER OUT ALL THE TIME! In the meantime, no return calls or emails and every option on the phone tree goes to voicemail.Once I am done with the lease I will be buying a house. Youd think they would treat their tenants better so that they would want to work with them on a real estate transaction.Do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else!
I love these guys..Jesse..Donny and their new maintenance team. They are quick and efficient with repair requests. They come from Sandy once a week to visit the property and tenants. The upgrades and updates are amazing.I love it here. Thanks DebbieFielding Utah
Absolutely amazing company, would do anything to get the deal done. They even put in carpets for me to close the sale! Special thanks to Corky for the unbelievably great customer service and Jesse for all his knowledge.
Gavin Farr helped me with my home purchase. He did an amazing job! He went above and beyond in every way. He is the only Realtor I would ever recommend. The Redzone Team is great!
I purchased and then also sold my house with Red Zone. I wouldnt use anybody else in the area; and, I wish they were everywhere! When we purchased, we were moving from out of state, and Jesse took the time to really understand what I was looking for. He did so well that our first time out he found 3 or 4 properties that hit the mark. We put in a bid and bought the house without having to make a 2nd trip out. When we sold that house, they were first & foremost extremely patient with me & getting the house ready to put up. They also have many contacts to recommend for whatever you may need to have done. They were helpful and honest about pricing and listened to what we wanted to do. Once the house was ready, they did open houses and advertising to ensure it was out there and visible. Ultimately, they were very accurate in their estimates of the final sale price, and helped us sell quickly.I would recommend Red Zone, specifically Jesse, to anybody looking to buy or sell property in the Northern Utah areas, and anywhere else they cover.
Jesse and his team were fabulous. I always got quick replies on any emails, and they treated my lower end property as if it were the most important property they were selling. My property sold quickly and effortlessly for a prime price. Great experience.
Whatever you do, don’t work with these people. They are extremely unprofessional and send in people they must have paid off the streets to do maintenance, and then it doesn’t even get fixed all the way. They leave messes, and break stuff as they’re doing it. We’ve had a leaking water heater for OVER A MONTH, and no key to a garage that we’re paying for!!! It took them weeks just to get a shower head put in, and there’s not even a drain plug still! The blinds were filthy.. like haven’t been cleaned in years filthy.. along with the baseboards and other things like that. The blinds still have not been cleaned and it’s been OVER A MONTH again. Our refrigerator didn’t work and made our food go bad because it sounded like it was working!! They hired two people who couldn’t even bring the fridge in by themselves!! They asked a neighbor for help!! And they left a MESS!!! I’m talking dust/dirt all over the floor and a train of water that was leaking from the old fridge!!!! You’d be better off with any other company.... wish I could rate negative stars..
When my wife and I bought our home in West Jordan, Jesse Boone took care of everything except for qualifying for the loan. And even then, he checked up on us regularly to see if all the loose ends were addressed. It was just a great experience from start to finish. I cant even remember the time factor because he was always communicating every detail, and that made my wife very comfortable and confident that he was working hard for us. We couldnt be happier with the service that Jesse Boone and Utah Red Zone Real Estate gave to us. We love our home and the the attention we got. Wow, as I re-read my comments, it almost sounds like an ad for them. Well, that came from the heart, truly. Jeff and RaNae
