Refugio County Museum in Refugio County

I think this museum is permanently closed. We were there today 2/17/22 and it looks like they use the building for storage and the house in back was boarded up.

So looking for to checking this place out. Don’t look to be reopening any time soon. Building looks to be in bad shape.

The museum was not open and did not apoear to be open anytime recently. A wasted day.

Great little museum full of area history! Be sure and check them out! Last time I was by they had a good selection of History books of the area on several subjects. Ended up buying a couple of really great Texas History books! Great displays to! Be sure and stop by and give them a visit!

This is a nice museum with lots of artifacts of the srea. It covers some military items, history of the mission, and oil drilling just to name a few. We spent an hour and a half walking around the museum. The curator was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. For a free museum, this was well worth the time.
