REI Distribution Center in Bedford County

Not sure if this is the REI I bought from but had to share my bad experience with an online purchase. Its unfortunate because a company this size would operate in this way. Instead of issuing me a refund for an item i sent back, REI sent me a puzzle and a note back in the mail. After contacting them about what happened, they would not issue a refund and claimed this is what I mailed them back. I never purchased a puzzle in my life. Will not be shopping in their stores or on their website ever again due to the lack of customer service. Amber, Melenie and Chris D. should not be working in retail or any position were thought should be applied. No one I spoke with handled the issue in a professional manner. It is surprising that a company of this magnitude would allow associates represent their company in this fashion. Shame, shame, shame...

One hour unload, excellent people.

I had 3:30pm appointment and I tried to check in early @11:30am I was told to come back @3:30pm unloading time not bad les then 1hour

Great place, had 1530 appointment. Got here at 1345 and they put me right on door. Unloaded in 30min. Yeah buddy!!!!@

They let you in only 30mins before appointment and please be on appointment !! There is a overnight parking spot around the company where security makes you go if you want to park overnight !!

7am appointment, in at 6:10, unloaded at 6:52am. They put me in a dock right away, and started unloading.

Its Its always been a good experience. They are pretty strict on their appointments. I wouldnt show up much more then an hour before your appointment

Not fair people are working there. Despite broker and BOL say that my appointment time is 7am, strict, they refused that and told me to come back at 9am. Driving sleepless night to make it on time for vain.

I use to work there. To bad i was only a temp. My assignment had ended. I love my job. My supervisor eric tanner is a good boss. I really miss my co-workers...

I had the opportunity to tour this facility through a local chapter of NAIOP. Very cool to see how they have designed a facility around the great out of doors. From walk paths from the parking lot to the entrance to the massive amount of solar panels they have on the roof, they have done an amazing job of being cognizant of their eco footprint while still providing an incredible place to work for their employees. Check out their conference room that is open to the public to use.

Great place to work. Completely solar powered, actually generates more power than it uses, by about 3 to 4 times as much. Focused on recycling big time. (They have people come around and "audit" the recycle and trash bins to ensure departments are properly using them)

No one at the reception there. No toilet. No drivers room. There is nothing for drivers ... for a long time waiting in the "receiving prison." On a single chair. Even waiting a few drivers, and only one chair. Wait.. wait.... wait..........Stupid shipping!!!

This place is a class act. If only all DCs could be like this place. Full trailer in and out less than an hour. The staff are very polite . Been here 5 times and will continue to grab loads coming here. Cant say enough about the great experience REI offers - this is why they are ranked one of the best places to work consistently each year
