A very fascinating and quite an amazing museum. Rex Allen grew up in Willcox and sure did leave his mark, the town even has Rex Allen days with parades and everything. Even if you have never heard of Rex Allen this is still so interesting. If youre even remotely interested in history then definitely come check this out, they ask for a $3 donation.
If you are into the history of local legend ,RexAllen, the history of early westerns, country music, our just plain cowboys, this is a treasure trove of memorabilia and information. Helpful docents and rooms full of information await!
Wow. What a fabulous collect from the days when western movies ruled. Had a group there playing western music. Memorable.... a must see.
Cute little museum dedicated to more than just Rex Allen. Loved Rex and his beautiful voice.
So much fun! Cant wait to go back!!
Very interesting place to visit..about Rex Allen history..Along with a nice memorabilia shop.
We drove 4.5 hours and it was WELL worth it. Plan on at least an hour and walk across the street and west and see the only remaining train depot on its line
Loads of information, great displays, on Mondays they have great musicians singing
WHOAH! Its a wonderful museum. Beautiful history of Rex Allen. Everyone should take a moment to visit this wonderful museum. Will bring back many beautiful memories.
It was very enjoyable to go back in time and see all the many good singers and actors in the museum pictures. The only thing that bothered us was that the Marty Robbins Museum play shut down and never redone. Marty Robbins was one of the greatest singers of his time and its sad and history will go by and he will soon be forgotten.
Great history on this western hero from willcox. Ws enjoyed our stay here.
Having live in Southern Arizona for 32 years...This was "About Time".Great collection and displays. These folks have worked hard to preserve this history.Well worth the visit.
I noticed that all their buddies won. One person won that was working the table. If you work there you should be disqualified
Rex Allen is an important part of the history of America. He was a great singer, actor, and authentic rancher. He was one of the best narrators of all times. His museum is incredible and well worth the visit. It is a terrific place to visit and learn more about our history.
Lovely!
This is a fun visit! If youre in willcox youll want to see this museum which is housed in a building that was once a saloon back in 1897. The entrance fee is only three dollars and the exhibits are interesting to see.
Like Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, Rex Allen was one of the best singing cowboys. The little museum in Willcox, where Rex was raised, is chock full of memorabilia, recordings, photos, etc. It was a great hour of going back on time.
It was awesome!
The Rex Allen Museum is very good. I have been a member for many years
A wonderful tribute to a great actor and singer. It is a great little museum. So glad we stopped there
It was closed but theres a great bronze across the street in the railroad park.
It was a fantastic day at the Rex Allen Arizona Cowboy Museum. Its so great seeing all this history under one roof. It doesnt disappoint and the volunteers love to answer any and all questions. There is a guide to read about the museums 15 exhibits. Its a must see for cowboy enthusiasts of all ages and children.

Loads of memorabilia. Tons of photographs and posters. From radio show to movies and records. The curator was very knowledgeable and the souvenirs are reasonably priced.
What a fun little place to visit and the gunfight on Saturdays was a hoot.
An AWESOME MEMORY LANE OF HIS LEGACY AND MY MEMORIES OF HIM & 30 YRS.AGO WAS MY 1ST VISIT ITS BETTER THAN BACK THEN
Loved learning about cowboy history, and the life Rex Allen lived.
It is a great tribute to Rex Allen many pictures with movie stars and family are terrific to see the volunteer Pierre who was a personal friend of Rexs told stories that nobody else could tell
Highly recommended. Small but very informative museum. Opens late at 11am ... 10am on Mondays. Well worth the $3 donation. Rex Allen’s cremains scattered in Railroad Park across the street. His statue is there as well as his horse buried beneath.
Great little museum..
Great museum, really interesting.
Interesting to learn more about Rex Allen and Koko, the town and real cowboys of the region.
The best little museum that I have been in a long time, the staff was excellent and answered all our questions.
Great place to visit if you love Rex Allen. The exhibits were great and the staff was wonderful. The museum sits directly across from a park with a statue of Rex as well.
Wasnt opened. Very dissapointed.
This a great place to go for everyone, Willcox has a lot of old history. They have a lot of Rex Allens clothing, Movie Memorabilia, And also my wife Jan works there, So stop in and say Hi.
Very nice museum! Actually a few categories in this museum. Not only Rex Allen, also his son & local cowboys hall of fame. I found this museum quite interesting. Small, yes. But very well organized & displayed. If in the area I recommend this & the Marty Robbins museum just 2 doors east. Veterans mention your service & entrance is free. Otherwise admission price is $2
Warm and folksy with great info about the area.
Good museum dedicated to a local and national treasure. Worth your time.
Great information and displays
Loved it! Cute historic displays and facts. Nice family activity!
If you like history and cowboys then this is your kind of place.
What a lovely cowboy museum. I enjoyed it a lot. And the $2 cost is very reasonable.
Didnt know that i knew the man... his voice was everywhere in my youth! Interesting museum and glad we made the stop.
I was so happy my friend suggested I stop here. As a fan of cowboy movies and other Western Stars I was happy that they were highlighted here as well certainly a great place to visit.
We actully went to the Willcox Wine Festival at the museum grounds and it was fantastic! Cant wait for next year
My dad was a huge fan of western movies. I was named after RA, so I figured Id check it out while passing through. It was worth the admission. The red Dining Car was a nice way to end our visit.
The Rex Allen Museum is a wonderful time travel trip into the great era of crooning cowboys dressed in oh so fancy clothes with sequins everywhere and such bright colors. The pictures and memorabilia show a man with a 5 star history. To see the people with whom he was friends, and who supported the museum is very very impressive. However if you do not know the era you will be under-impressed and wonder what all the hubbub is about. As I was with people who had listened to Rex on the radio in their childhood, and seen his movies as youngsters, it was eye opening. For the western enthusiast this is a huge nugget of information and memories. So worth the two dollar admission fee.
A first trip to Downtown Willcox isnt complete until you have visited the Rex Allen and Cowboy Hall of Fame Museum. You should go if you have any interest or curiosity about the Old Western movies, cowboy music or just great information about the cattle business (that wasback after the 1900s in Cochise County. If you catch one of the local cattle ranchers in the back ask about the Cochise County Cowboy Hall of Fame. You are sure to hear some great tales.
