I love this place. I love Chinese food and these guys are great at what they do. I love the General Tso, but most everything Ive tried is good. I like it all and never been disappointed yet.
Decent food, fair prices - definitely *wasn’t* cooked in sugar, so that’s nice.I love that the $7.50 lunch special includes 2 extra gioza!(What people have said about the cashier at the front is true: she isn’t very friendly or personable… though she certainly is NOT rude!)
Never been here before but wanted to give it a try! The food was prepared pretty fast, but the lady at the counter was not very friendly or attentive when we were ordering. When we got everything home we had a hard time finding everything in our order. To top it all of there was hair fried into multiple pieces of the Sweet and Sour Chicken! We will not be returning again.
Good, friendly, helpful service!! Shan was able to help me put together a quick business lunch for very fair prices on short notice. Will absolutely come again! Thanks!
Im not sure whats going on here, but the lady handing out the orders at the front. Should try smiling more. We come in and she doesnt even acknowledge you. Like look at me, Im here doing your restaurant a favor. You have a job because if your customers. Try it. Like a thank you and have a good day would be nice. All other employees are nice, except the lady.
This food is absolutely terrible! very bland, nasty texture. I threw most of it away.
Pretty good food, but they shrunk their servings so it’s more worth it to just go to the buffet next door and grab takeout from them.
Just picked up my order of Chow Mein, Sweet/Soar pork, rice, Egg Drop Soup .. which was all EXCELLENT AND PIPING HOT. I hardly recommend this restaurant if you like Chinese Cuisine. Much better than most in the Utah Valley Very Good.
We order through delivery but this place is great weve been going for a long time. Food is always great but my favorite are the pot stickers/dumplings, they are amazing you will not be disappointed!
Ordered dinner for 4. So impressed. Good verity. Plenty to eat. I only eat Chinese about once every few years and this hit the spot.
Really generic but higher price. $9 for fried rice that’s in a square typical Chinese food container. Dirty inside makes me wonder how the kitchen is.
Inedible! Ham fried rice had pieces of old ham in it! So old it was gray however if you cut it youd see the typical pink color it should be in the middle and smelt turned. 🤢🤮 Shrimp was over done and chewy. Wantons were the only good thing I got.
I have always enjoyed the food here but I just picked this up for lunch and while I was eating my Ham Fried Rice I but into something hard. I thought I bit into an uncooked piece of rice.. I spit it out and it turned out to be a small piece of metal!! I’m not even sure what this would’ve been from or how it got in the food but I am so disappointed and feel like I can never eat here again because of it.
Good food. Great value. I always get the chicken lo mein combo and love it. My wife and I have been here about seven times and have not been disappointed yet. People who complain on here probably consider Panda Express good Chinese food. My wife goes nuts for their cream cheese wontons and she loves their sweet and sour chicken.
The food was horrible, Mongolian beef had leftover noodles in it. We tossed the food. Zucchini was overcooked, no seasoning bland.
Paid 14 bucks a a tiny plate of dry, flavorless fried rice and a slab of drier chicken breast with a glob of teriyaki sauce on it. Never again
So sad to be leaving this review because we were really excited and actual food itself was good. However, we found multiple pieces of some type of plastic bead in our food. There were many more than just these and we had to throw it away because we were scared to hurt our teeth or swallow one.
I have come here for years and unfortunately the service and the food has gone down hill very fast. The older reviews you see on here were true in the past but not any longer. Its really sad how they treated us tonight when we called in about the food we picked up. Our orange chicken & broccoli and beef were TERRIBLE. The orange chicken was obviously dyed red (not at all a natural colorand was soggy, and the beef was chewy and hard. This is a meal we have gotten for years and it will be our last time eating at Rice Wok. I love supporting small family owned businesses and restaurants especially during a pandemic, but we will no longer eat here. I hope they figure out that customer service is actually important or they will continue to lose loyal customers.
Rice Wok’s food is terrible now and the customer service is horrible. The lady who works here is extremely rude and doesnt care if you have an issue with your order. The orange chicken we got tonight was nasty! It was super mushy and it was bright red in color. This place used to be great, but lately the food has not been fresh. I will no longer be supporting this company because of the gross food and bad customer service. Go to Panda instead, this place is not worth your time or money.
Placed an order on DoorDash and had to wait three hours to receive my order! Yep you read that right 3 WHOLE HOURS. Of course I contacted DoorDash when I first realized there was an issue, they apologized and told me the restaurant was the reason for the delay. When you try to call the restaurant their phone number does not actually work. Theres no excuse to make someone wait 3 hours after placing an order, terrible customer service will never be ordering here again.
I placed an order online and was told in my email it would be ready in an hour! So after an hour I went to pick it up and was then informed they dont start cooking it until you come in and pay (there wasnt an option to pay ahead of timeso I had to wait another hour for me food!! This place is a joke!!!!
These guys always get our special orders right. Every time! Their delivery is super fast. Weve ordered from here probably dozens of times over the years - it has always been fabulous. How do they never make a mistake? Its astounding! They load up on proteins in the entrees. The fried tofu is perfectly done. The vegetables are always crisp tender. Love the lomein, love the egg rolls...yum!
The food was tasteless(like 4 of the 5 things that I ordered was tasteless, only one was worth the time), the service wasnt that good and it seems that the menu wasnt updated, the attendant wasnt mean nor rude except that it was really hard to understand and shouted a lot. And the price for the size of the food are not worth it.
My roommate and I door dashed food from here and it was a mistake. The food was tasteless. It was a waste of money and calories. Dont get food here if you want food that actually has flavor. That being said slightly improved after adding non existent salt. However, still ended up in the literal trash. (also it looks like red chicken to me not orange aghh)
We were disappointed. We ordered the jumbo shrimp appetizer. We got microscopic shrimp in jumbo batter. The vegetable chow mein had no flavor. Service was fast. We placed the order online and picked it up 10 minutes later.
The flavor of the orange chicken left me craving even more bold flavors in my life. So I went and bought a La Croix to wash it all down.(Super bland, super tough and stringy chicken. 0/10 do not recommend)
Was told by a friend to try this place. Lo mein was good. Got orange chicken because the kids love it and it helps me eat less. WORST CHICKEN I ever ate. Tasted like some deep chunks of rubber and gristle and painted sugar water on them. I could not eat more than two pieces. One of the worst experiences of food I have ever had. NEVER EAT HERE!!!
I used to enjoy this place but man has it gone down hill. We decided to give back to a local business during these trying times. We both ordered lemon chicken and it was some of the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. Also he wouldnt give us water (not sure if it was because of restrictions). The owners come across as really cheap I used to find it charming but it seems like its gotten the best of them. Wont be coming back anytime soon.
Always fast. Always friendly. Take a menu home and order using the menu item number, it goes really fast. Their time estimate is usually long so you can go in before the full 20 minutes or so and your food will most likely be ready. It is on the east side of the street. Portion sizes are pretty big for how much you pay. I recommend this place for fast, plentiful, non-gourmet Chinese food. See my pictures of what we ordered.
Rice Wok is really consistent and great value.I routinely get the Mongolian Beef combo plate (Mongolian Beef, fried rice, 2 gyoza). The beef is usually very tasty and the gyoza, while not cooked my favorite style, are always good, as well. Sometimes the fried rice can still be a little on the underwhelming side; however, this place is pretty consistent and solid in my experience. Also, its cheap and you get plenty of food so I really enjoy going here to pickup.
We order here because Chens noodle house closed. R.I.P. They claim its the exact same, same people. I dont care what they say. Its not the same and tastes different. Not different bad just different.my favorite were the noodles. These noodles are not as tasty. We ordered the Pon Pon chicken a family favorite. Ive never had this dish with fish sauce so that want tasty to us. Also the batter they use to bread everything is very spongy, soggy pancaked. The sauce soaked up and turned into mushy not so good chicken. The lemon chicken was delicious!
We have been eating here since it opened. It used to be really good. Then wed get so so food sometimes (the sauce in the chicken broccoli would be lumpy and not dissolved, or for a while the chicken was really chewy). But the last few times its been awful. We decided to give it one more try tonight (after a 6 month break), and we were super disappointed to the point well never eat there again.Theyve gone back to the super cheap chicken. It was rubbery and chewy, and tasted like it had been cooked earlier, then reheated. The rice had hard pieces in it. We picked through and ate what was edible, and threw the rest away.So sad! We wish it was still good. I really like the owners, but the food is awful!
Solid food, clean location, fast service, and very nice staff
Great American Chinese food at decent prices. The food is cooked to order, is fast, and the restaurant was very clean. There is not much room for dining in, 10 high top seats and a table with 8 chairs.
Always been a family favorite when we arent close to our other favorites :The family dinner specials are a good deal for everything included. Havent been disappointed here.
I found this place on accident and glad I did. The food was absolutely amazing. Each plate is made fresh to order so youre not getting some premade cafeteria style food. The cook came out asking how the food was. He explained how a lot of cooks simply throw ingredients together and call it good. He has a passion for cooking and puts his heart I to every dish. I will DEFINITELY be back!
Friendly staff and quick service. Plenty of options to choose from, and the combos are a nice deal for the price.
Date of Visit: 4/9/2019OVERVIEW - 4.75Came here on a whim as my wife and I were driving down State Street in Orem.LOCATION - 5They actually have a great location there in Orem on State Street, however, it can be real easy to miss if youre not looking or using a GPS. Its found inside a strip mall.PRICE - 5I found their prices comparable to other Chinese Food. I think in the end the plate I ordered was $7.25 (Lemon Chicken).PRODUCT/SERVICE - 4I ordered the Lemon Chicken dish with fried rice. I did order it to go. My wife ordered a Walnut Shrimp and for our daughter we ordered the Sweet N Sour Chicken. They were all good. The one thing that I found interesting was the cashier told me that Lemon Chicken is made with Sunny D, and as I ate the Lemon Chicken, I could really taste the Sunny D.POINTERS/PERKS - N/AThere are probably some pointers, but dont know what they would be.EMPLOYEES - 5The cashier was friendly and was rather patient with us as we looked over the menu. He also knew the menu inside and out, as we asked questions he pointed on the menu were items were.
Great food, pretty fast service. My only complaint would be that it is kinda pricey compared to other places I have been for same size portions. That is just from my personal experience. For a single person though, you could easily get 2 to 3 meals out of their portions since they give you quite a bit. I would definitely recommend.
We search for a Asian restaurant last night and came across Rice Wok. Based on the reviews we thought it sounded pretty good and decided to try it. My son and daughter (both in their 20sas well as myself found the meal very unsatisfying. The food was laden in heavy brown gravy. The chicken, which the guy at the counter said was high quality white breast meat, was awful and scares. It was not fresh and few vegetables as well. We all felt ill after eating and my stomach still hurts the morning after. I wish I could report this as a good, but we would have been much better off at Panda Express.
Great cheap Chinese. I mean GREAT CHEAP CHINESE FOOD. Not cheap in the bad way, cheap as in very affordable. Big portions, low price, tasty food! All the basic Chinese menu items you could think of and a great consistent quality across the menu! Best for take out, they have a small functional space.
Great food, fast! This is my favorite Chinese take out restaurant in the Provo Orem area. You can order most dishes as either a "dinner" with a side of white rice or as a combo in a single dish with ham fried rice. The portions are generous and the prices are competitive. And the quality is excellent.
I’ve ordered here a few times. It’s easy, quick, and the fact that I can have them deliver is huge for me. The service is really good, and the delivery guy is incredibly nice, and doesn’t look grungy like some delivery drivers. The food is good as well, and portions are large! Get the fried shrimp appetizer it’s delicious.
I love Rice Wok!! They are always so kind and their entrees are fantastic! So many options and great prices. And what is so bad about a place that has great food and delivers? I love it! Order from here all the time
The food is not the best Chinese Ive had, but it was alright. The pot stickers tasted delicious, but were crispy and Im used to them soft. I though the cream cheese wonton were low on flavor, but my husband liked them. The rice and the pork was fine. Note:They like you to print your coupons or use the coupon in the menu, not use it electronically.
Ordered delivery in the evening. Their personnel seemed awesome, very patient and helpful, including the delivery driver. The food, however, was sub-par. Ordered a beef dish and got about 3 ounces of beef and a pound of vegetables, with very little flavor. Will probably not order again just due to food quality, but I may give a couple other dishes a try.
As a transplant, I had to try out a lot of Chinese places to find one I liked. Theres nothing fancy about this place, but they dont pretend to be. Rice Wok hits the spot with standard Americanized Chinese food. Though some dishes can be hit or miss, overall the food is delicious for the price, and the fact that they deliver seals the deal. The employees are friendly and courteous, the service is fast.I have and will continue to recommend Rice Wok to everybody I know.
Fast and easy Chinese food, who couldnt love that?! The owner and her adorable daughter were helpful in deciding what menu option to select, since this was I and my husbands first time. It was hot, yummy, and well, some pretty darn good Chinese take-out to celebrate our Valentines Day tradition!
Place is straight up gangsta in a good way. I eat there a lot. Sweet and Sour chicken combo box. Never gotten sick once. Tasty food.I like their service because it is STRAIGHT TO THE POINT.... They are not your best friend they just provide fast service and good food. Done deal! less than 6 bucks for all that food? Fresh too? ooh
The food is great! I love their Orange Chicken and the House Lo Mein. My wife likes the chicken and broccoli and the Cashew chicken. My kids like the sweet and sour chicken and the sesame chicken. I havent had anything there that I didnt like and its always ready within 10min of me calling in my order. Great food, great price and great service. This is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant in Orem!
