Its a great place for all families!

The sports center has everything you need for exercises, they have an indoor pool, basketball, and tennis courts inside as well. The physical therapy office inside also has some of the best people I have ever had work on me. Great manners, conversations, and knowledge of what needs to be done. Workman is a great place to go, and the memberships are fairly priced as well. Definitely worth a visit, or to get your family out of the house and exercising sense we just had that pandemic. Check them out.

Everyone is so nice we live going swimming there it is so clean

Great place to workout. Running, lifting weights, swimming and playing sports. This complex has it all. The facility was very clean and very well maintained. All the necessary precautions were taken to keep everyone safe.

Great place, friendly staff, clean and a lot of activities to do.

HSHS Physical and Speech Therapy was very friendly and kind.

My grandson and I had a nice afternoon at the pool. He loved it!

Great place for kids and adults

I give this place 1 star because of the extreme life safety issues with life guards. I went 3 days in a row. 1st day the lifeguard spent a lot of time texting. Left the pool area for an extended period of time WITHOUT anyone watching the pool. At one point another staff came on deck and started talking to him. No one scanned the pool and at one point they both had their backs to both pools. 2nd day guard a little better. Spent time talking on her watch as well as what Im guessing doing more than just checking the time. She left the deck several times with no one watching the pools. Day 3 the life guard was a little better, but not much. He left the deck several times but not for very long. The Workman Center is a very beautiful facility, the staff are friendly. Parking on 2 sides of the building. 2 pools. Lazy river side was a childrens area with a small child size slide, water features, as well as a smaller pool attached . The water is a very comfortable 91 aprox. degrees. Perfect for older people with joint issues or people who just like their water warmer. The aqua aerobics was up beat, nice selection of music. Instructor did a great job leading the participants. Other pool is kept colder for lap swimmers. The rest of the facility was modern and well taken care of. No electric door openers to the pool area, but they do have handicap changing rooms. Just make sure you bring your own life guard.

I like coming here, but I think its a bit asinine that because I dont live in Effingham that I have to pay a higher rate. The lazy river is seriously underwhelming. And why, WHY couldnt there be any saunas? At the very least dry saunas? Lots of the equipment is embarrassingly outdated. With the wonderful studios, there should be classes all the time, not just a few in the morning and a few in the afternoon. Its like there are deals to prevent stepping on other business toes, so no other amenities or classes will be there. If there extra classes, its to promote their own business and get you to come sign up for their programs. Theres so much more that can be done... how about yall get to work on it???

Cool place to workout! Offer a lot of variety for adults and kids. Basketball courts, lap pool, kids area to swim, work out room, classes, inside run/ walk path. Affordable

No place to come work out swim play basketball volleyball or even walk the track over all nice quite clean place

I really enjoy the swimming pool being warm. Most indoor pools I have been to are chilly. I did belong to the Y.M.C.A, but water was so chilly for me. The walking track and exercise equipment are nice too.

We absolutely love this place. It has a jogging mile, a gym, 2courts for basketball / tennis/volleyball , and it also has a regular swimming pool for exercise and than a kickback spot with a lazy river that starts with an inch of water for toddler play that gets deeper and flows into a mother pool area than into a lazy river that splits into two sections. It usually is kept warm in the lazy river area which some ppl might like but I myself was over heated and thats the only thing I can say that I could complain about. Their is even a new park across the street that was just built and probably one of the coolest Ive seen in my area here at Effingham. Everyone you must go check the complex out, it has locker rooms showers single changing rooms, mens, womens. Extra equipment If you have one of those forgetful days and it is at a very very recent price. I didnt pay but Im almost certain ours was 25 for 5 of us

We are blessed to have the Workman Complex in our city. It is a treasure.

We went to the indoor pool and splash area and it was nice, clean and the water was sooo warm. There was a life gaurd by the pool the whole time.The changing rooms wete clean and there were 3 family/handicapped rooms as well.Prices were great it was $20 for our family of 4.We will go back

They made a swimming lessons teacher "get qualified " aka firing her

A great center to work out. A variety of resources, classes a d equipment. Well staffed and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

It has been very bad weather. So I wanted a place to walk and that is what I did.

Pool water is like bath water. Its never chilly and plenty of room for everyone..

We were here for my Grandsons 6th birthday and the kids had a blast!

Life guard on duty was so rude to me and my two kids that I finally just left. Maybe it was my tattoos.. Because he seemed really nice to all the other parents. Idk. I am always so polite and respectful. There was no call for it. No signs said not to use the dive boards at the head of the lap pool. So how was I to know. Instead of saying, Im not allowed to use them, it was a straight up yell .. Get off those now! I guess I wont get the yearly family pass ... Just stopped me from spending money.

great gym and most of the staff is great! 06/02 the lady working was rude and talked to me like I was incompetent over my fiancé using his key card for both of us (not the key card thing that was the issue but rather how she addressed it). I felt disrespected but other than that this is a great gym.

We took the church group there to go swimming and was a very pleasant experience.

Good family atmosphere, wide range of ages in attendance. Lifeguards on duty at all times. Safety equipment available for children at no cost.

I went here for physical therapy. All the physical and aquatic therapist were great. Super nice very positive. Help me through alot

Nice clean facility with everything thing you need. But the parking sucks and its expensive for a membership.

The PTs are super had my last pelvic therapy 3/26/18 sence 1/10/18 Lorie (PTis aces in my book! Staff is wonderful they try an help u as much as they can !!!!!!!!

Great asset to our town...wow! Theres something for everyone, and the staff is very professional and helpful. So thankful we have such a facility!

Gym is poorly located very noisy when basketball games are being played. Lockers and showers not in the same area as the gym

Wonderful place to go especially for water therapy. Lovely large pools. Wonderful large walking path inside and lots of equipment feel very comfortable.

Great large gym, indoor pools, weight rooms and aerobics classes. Kinda pricey but pretty nice.

If you are looking for a gym that has activities for the whole family, this is the place. I have been a member for over a year and have yet to be disappointed. The pool, basketball, and volleyball courts give the kids plenty to do, plus they offer childcare during the week so you can get shredded without interruption. (A.M. onlyThe personal trainers here are amazing! Thanks to trainer Bryce Brown, I am now 70 lbs lighter, and have never felt better!

The total package if your looking to exercise... flexible hours, it’s especially nice having the pools open at 5am.

My husband and I became members this past summer and are very pleased with all aspects of Workmans from the exercise equipment to the pool, track, gym floor, etc. We have also been very happy with the cleanliness as well!

Needs a punching or 2 but it still fun they have basketball court volleyball court indoor track and indoor pool you can lift weights or get on bicycles and other machines theres a yoga/balay room I just wanted to say what they had to see if people are interested.

Love swimming in your pools. My grand daughter (4 month old really enjoys the warm lazy river.

I love this place and the open atmosphere. My kids really love the pool!
