14 homes on a private road that has not been sufficiently repaired since 1970. And the private road intersects a golf course which adds to the fun. Needless to say it’s a daunting and challenging task getting 14 household to agree on the types of repairs based on various price points. Matt spent a significant amount of time walking the road and providing cost projections for five different repair plans. He even returned and met several household members to walk the road again and answer their questions. The outcome is a beautifully sealed road that hasn’t looked this good since it was built. Friendly service, upbeat personality, quality outcome! Even decided to seal our driveway since it was due and couldn’t be happier! He followed up with us and returned a season later to seal coat it. We will continue to have Matt and his crew maintain our driveway for as long as we are able. Very disappointed overall... We had a few areas needing repaved and contacted Rich. He came out and seemed to know what he was doing and gave me a quote. I pointed out several problem spots that do not seem to have a good base under them and stressed that they need to be prepped right as this area would get a lot of forklift traffic. When they came out to do the job, they did very minimal prep work and paved right over top of the old asphalt. I expressed my concern that this will work, but Rich repeatedly assured me that it will be fine and that if there are any problems within 6 months they would take care of it. That was April 2020. 3-4 months later problems started showing up, so I contacted Rich. He came out one time and tried to downplay the issue. It is now 6/25/21 and it looks horrible. They never made an effort to fix it, so well need to tear some of it out and redo it. Guess who doesnt get the job next time!Very disappointed in Rich after he had the money...

My driveway in Hughesville was repaved by Richard Wells and Son. I got an estimate from Matthew that was very competitive with four other paving contractors. I am a mechanical engineer and Matthew explained the process very well and answered all my technical questions to my satisfaction. I contracted with him and he was very receptive to my very specific demands that the work be done during certain weather conditions. He worked with his schedule and satisfied my requests.My driveway is about 400 feet long. His crew prepped the driveway in one day and completed the repaving the following day. His crew was very cohesive, knew their jobs, and performed up to my stringent expectations. Every one of the crew was very friendly and knowledgeable. I am very satisfied with the completed job. Most paving contractors recommend a sealant be placed on the driveway after one year. I hope the companys costs remain competitive as I will not hesitate to contract with them in the future.

They worked with us to form the driveway that met our needs in Danville. They did an excellent job and put a sealant that would protect it since it was starting to get cold.

We hired Richard Wells & Sons to replace our existing driveway which was in desperate need of replacing. What an amazing job they did! They were quick to respond to our request for an estimate (which was WAY less costly than we had anticipatedshowing up within 24 hours. We agreed to the EXTRAORDINARILY low price we were quoted On a Tuesday evening and by Friday afternoon the job was complete! Called for estimate on Monday, estimate given and proposal accepted on Tuesday evening, job COMPLETE Friday afternoon! Woo-Hoo! Amazing company to work with! Thank you Wells Family! God Bless

Dont have Richard Wells pave your driveway. It will crack the first year. You will have to get sealed by 2nd year. Also the amount thickness isnt true, bottom of my drive I had three quarters to an inch of blacktop. 5,500.00 PLUS A HUNDRED AND CHANGE FOR HIS BROTHER TO SPRAY SEALER.VERY,VERY, DISSAPPOINTED. HOME OWNERS BEWARE!
