Rite Aid in Douglas County

I LOVE THIS STORE, ITS PEOPLE, MERCHANDISE, AND ALWAYS CAN FIND SOMEONE TO HELP ME FIND THINGS, AND SUBSITUTES WHEN NEEDED.!

Have used them as my primary pharmacy for almost 20 years. Recently nearly every prescription is late, staff is rude unable to have questions answered on the phone. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a store. Even Walmart is better and that’s saying something

This store is an outstand place to shop and the staff is very helpful...

Even when short handed, the ladies working at the Gardnerville Rite Aid are always kind, always go a step beyond and always help me figure out my prescriptions when the doctors or insurance mess things up. Whenever I deal with them they always come through for me! Because of health issues I always use the phone and drive through and these ladies are wonderful!

These guys are great working hard in a difficult time. They go out of there way to help everyone. Ive seen Robert, Maggie and Rose, and dont forget Vicki.work crazy hours to keep it going. Thanks to this diligent staff.

If I could give a minus 10 I would. Since George left this pharmacy has developed the worst practices. Refusing to fill legitimate prescriptions, filling after I have run out because they’re too busy. No concern for patient outcomes. Go somewhere else, anywhere else.

The most polite employees in town

Maybe not the stores fault but this should be fixed and I don’t know who to reach out to. Rite aids website let’s you schedule vaccine appointments all the way until 8:30pm. I showed up for my 8:30pm appointment and the pharmacist informs me they don’t do vaccines after 7 regardless of appointment. All his techs go home at 7. Maybe it’s a website issue, maybe it’s a store issue, either way, waste of a 30 minute drive both ways. Ridiculous.

The Rite Aid store in Gardnerville is awesome. I have recently moved out of the area and have had to deal with other pharmacies on a regular basis, and there is NO COMPARISON to the Rite Aid in Gardnerville, their staff is great, friendly, and treats you like family. I have had some recent bad luck with health issues and take several meds, and they have been awesome helping me all along the way. So, thank you, and I hope your experience there is as good as mine.

Update: April 15, 2020 a big shout out and thank you to Robert for helping me and my dad out during this pandemic! My dad had surgery on his foot and its important to bleach his socks and dressing. And we had none. Not to mention no toilet paper for over a week and going out every day to find some. Robert was so helpful, he called me when bleach and toilet paper came in! Thank you!We switched from Wallgreens Gardnerville to Rite Aid. We have gotten incredible customer service from Rite Aid. The Pharmacist, George puts his customers first. If you are out of a life sustaining prescription (due to doctors mistakehe makes sure you get it. And he always makes sure you get it at the lowest cost available. Rite Aid is lucky to have him, as long as hes there, they will get our business. Thanks George, my family appreciates you!

The pharmacy goes above and beyond what they have to do. I have no insurance and they help me get the best prices on my meds. All employees are eager to help with all needs.

Horrible costumer service and communication within the pharmacy. They do not notify you when your rx is ready until days later. Whenever I’ve had a dr fax an rx I have to call and confirm I want it filled. The communication is a disaster. I am new to the area and have always used rite aid and never had any issues prior.

Once again ... a western union that doesnt work. There is literally one western union location in the entire carson valley out of a dozen , that actually works... its not here. Very dissapointed. Delayed my whole day, missed a meeting, and could not get money to where it needed to be on time. Huge ordeal. Needless to say, I later find out the moron working the counter at this rite aid location, just had no clue what theyre were doing. Thus, this persons incompitance and lack of job training, wasted my time. Dont go here, extremely un-intelligent employees will just end up wasting your time....unless of course youve got tim to waste, because i can promise you wont just be in and out.

Good Drug Store

I just had to write a review for this particular pharmacy today which I rarely do for anyone. I was told my doctor forgot to write a number on my script and with my previous pharmacy meant another trip to Reno from Gardnerville! No big deal for alot of people but I have had to do this for the last 7 years every month without exception. But now Vicki told me all that was needed was a phone call to verify! Because of that I was only in there for a half an hour verses another drive to Reno, wait for the doctor, and then drive back to RiteAid again. I always thought RiteAid had great service, very pleasant personnel and now I know they try to assist you as much as they can to save you time and money instead of the other way around. So thank you George and Vicki so very much for your help today along with the other pharmacists and assistants who I have dealt with prior to this visit.Lori M.

Customer-service, the best ever!

I have issues everytime I go there. Constantly having to give them my insurance info; that they never have on file. Getting a prescription filled here is like pulling teeth.

I have never in my life been treated so rudely. Never been dealt with so badly in my life. They lie and when you catch them they deny. My husbands surgeon sent an e script for pain meds and after two times filling SAME prescription, they say they do not fill e scripts on pain meds, so we called a different rite aid who said yes they do. Called these idiots back and they denied ever saying that (I have a witness Then my mother after having the same exact prescriptions for two years at this place is told they never have seen her before and have no record and they dont handle that dosage of pain medication. Arent you a pharmacy? Dont pharmacys carry drugs we cannot get over the counter. Isnt it your job/business to fill prescriptions from doctors. You have lost my business (we had surgeon send next prescription to Mikes pharmacy in Carson. ZERO PROBLEMS imagine that. My mother will not be back and I will tell everyone I can just how badly this Rite aid is and how rude the staff in the pharmacy is
