Rite Aid Pharmacy in Blair County

I wish I didn’t have to give one star!! I use the rite aid at station medical but because they aren’t open on the weekends I didn’t know until I called my refill in. So I called the one at chestnut Ave and right away when I said where I normally fill at she said very rudely that they aren’t pulling prescriptions from anywhere!! This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience with this pharmacy. I will be taking care of this Monday morning and having all of my prescriptions transferred to a different pharmacy all together. They lost my 10 plus years of service!!

I feel like this pharmacy needs to hire some hard workers,some people who have experience being under pressure . My wife and I always are told that our prescriptions wont be ready for at least 4 to 5 hrs,lol,wow,I mean why cant the pharmacist see thats a problem? Hiring more professional harder workers who are not judgemental and who dont look down on people who get maintenance meds would be great for this store because its just gone way too far,my wife got in an argument with the pharmacist because she was getting her subs and they were all looking cross eyed at her and he said some something unprofessional to her that made her feel bad. Yall need better staff ASAP ,u can clearly see that its not just one or two people complaining. Yall cant even like your job to be acting like this,maybe its time to find a different career.

Good prices,helpful staff,store clean and arranged in way to find product sought easily.

Idk who Dominic is in the pharmacy but he needs to improve on his phone service and learn how to talk to people especially if they dont use that rite aid and needed help in filling mental health meds. Hes a joke

Ignorant rude pharmacist! Claimed they are 3 days behind but thats a lie since people been going in and out their drive through pretty quickly. Rite Aids are all connected she couldve got my script just to lazy to do it. Thats okay already contacted CVS they just lost my business. Need my meds asap so I dont end up going back in the hospital on machines again but they dont care about their customers. Theyve lost me as a customer.

Called pharmacy to have an antibiotic script filled as my regular location closed early. Rudest man I’ve ever spoken to after I asked if there was anything he could do to help, “I have 1 hour and 45 minutes left of the day and 8 hours of work in front of me. I can’t help you sooner than tomorrow afternoon” I understand if I wasn’t able to be accommodated, this interaction was just extremely unnecessary

The worst experience I ever had. For the phone call to going into the store. The oven weight Pharmacist so RUDE. Red head below some where else to work. Now I know why there reviews are so bad.

Ive been selected by my group to post this, considering weve all had the same experience. We are all in recovery and take maintenance medication. Your pharmacy has looked down their noses at us each time we go in to fill our meds. They act like its an inconvenience if we say we will wait for our meds. Or they say it will be a few hours before it will be ready in a really snooty huffy way. They treat us like we are lower life forms and its not right. Is this how you train them because this is how you feel? We go here because your close to our homes, but we are thinking of going elsewhere. Our lives are hard enough because we asked for help. I thought the pharmacist was a part of that help.

Numerous Chances...No more benefits of doubt.Pharmacy Staff; Deceptive, smug, brash, lazy/extremely slow, obviously power tripping, unwarrantedly condescending, unsupervised bottom of the barrel, low class customer service I have EVER encountered at a Pharmacy. Both Male & Female alike. The one & only exception was 8/5/22, Pharmacist & Drive-Thru Associate were absolute Godsends, they were humble, professional and hard at work, it is not THAT difficult to be hard at work, honest and respectful. Note; Older, brunette female in Retail Dept is a very loud mouthed, condescending attention seeking, power tripping, wench. Review is for; Chestnut Avenue Location, Altoona PA!

Customer service needs worked on. when someone is asking for help you should not be rude and hang up, be kind and help them it’s your job. ;)

The lady at the pharmacy was very rude and ignorant, I needed to pick up my nephews medicine, the hours on the window say pharmacy hours 8am-10pm, she said we close at 9 in a very rude manner, she could have been more pleasant. She was working on veterans day 11-11-2021.

My doctor called me in medication and I went to pick up another medication and asked to pick up both . Everyone was nice and she explained I couldn’t pick up the others because it was to soon . It’s not there fault and I’ll just pick it up when she told me I could .. these people have a stressful job because of the people trying to scam them for extra medication . Be kind and you’ll receive kindness back . Overall I like this place and will continue to get my medication there

Pharmacy slow, dont answer the phone and Im pretty sure sure dont even start working on your perception till you call and ask about it.. my doctor appointments are at 8am and I dont have my medication untill almost 3 everyday and when I get inpatient they give me a attitude acting like I dont need my medication in the MORNING

RiteAid has always been favorite store to go to. I moved to Altoona and since the first day I walked into this RiteAid, I havent had a single decent experience. This is the WORST pharmacy I have ever been to. They are the most inconsiderate and rude staff of any establishment I have entered. Every time I call, the tone of their voice indicates that they just found out their dog died. Everyone has a bad day, but these people seem to have the worst day ever, and do not hide it whatsoever from customers. I know pharmacies are not speedy, but every time I have tried to get a prescription is has been the longest process. They also have never called or texted to inform me when stuff is ready, when I have signed up for the text notifications multiple times. I will, instead, pay my pharmacy from home to SHIP me my prescriptions because the $10/month is so much more worth it than to ever have to be in the presence of these miserable people ever again.

Friendly staff, near the hospital and plenty of parking.

I have never experienced such a staff of technicians that make you feel the way these bunch do. Even if I am picking up the medication for someone else i almost feel like less of a person because of this crew. Always find a way to make my visit the complaining topic for the next hour or two after. Also no one around you should know what the medication you are picking up is, but these people seem to shout it for everyone to hear. Privacy policy violation?

If I could give negitive stars I would. This place is so rude & disrespect. And they make you wait for 3 hours waiting with no other people waiting.

The pharmacy is almost always busy so if you have a question be prepared to wait. Otherwise good service.

The store staff is always friendly however if youre going to the pharmacy, they sometimes just stare at you from behind the desk and wait for someone else to address you. The prices are often way more expensive than other places although they occasionally have insane deals on certain products. I only shop there because my bonus card gives me a 20% discount on all purchases otherwise Id probably get my script filled elsewhere.

I usually never purchase there , not for any particular reason,usually have dealt with other pharmacies . However , I will bestopping there more often now . I went to get some simple eyedrops , 4 shelves worth . I went and ask the Pharmacist Ericand he walked down to the shelf with me and described the options . Ive seldom been treated so kindly anywhere in Altoona!If you need assistance at the pharmacy , ask for Eric ! A verypleasant , informative young man ! THANK YOU ERIC !!!

I had just recently put in an application for employment at the store on chestnut avenue. And I had called to check up on my status with the employment and got a man named John, he seemed very adgetated when he answered the phone. But he had put me on "hold" which he had just sat the phone down, I heard him wait on 2 customers and he proceeded to pick the phone up and tell me " I have no positions available right now Ill keep your application on file" && Hung up on me without another word!!! but I wouldnt have a problem if he wasnt so rude about it and his tone of voice with me was irresponsible, ignorant, and was not as you would call comstomer service friendly! I will never go there again and I was a frequent shopper! And a member of their pharmacy! But now I am not! So I do not recommend this store at all period!

I was treated like a drug seeker while trying to fill my prescription of pain medicine, despite the fact that my face was swollen so badly that I was nearly unrecognizable and clearly in a lot of pain. The pharmacy tech was very rude with me.
