He did a terrible job on my Honda v6 cylinder heads. They lasted 3 months then the gasket blew due to bad machining work, leaving a dent in the mating surface causing the leak. He also was verry aggressive un professional and lied to be about the work he was doing multiple times he also tried to hide stuff from me, he didn’t Lapp my valves he didn’t replace my valve seals and he didn’t fix any of the issues i asked him to and he hid it from me until it was to late and i brought them home and noticed all the issues. I brought 3 siferent sets of heads and a block to him, they all failed with in 3-4 months DO NOT USE THIS GUY HE WILL RUIN YOUR PARTS HE DOES NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING OTHER THEN CASH AND HE HAS NO INVOICES, BUYER BEWARE!

I had my intake manifold cleaned for carbon build up. When you pay for a service, and he charges you more than he did the previous year, youd expect the service to actually be performed correctly. The pictures I attached are from after the cleaning was done. I pulled out probably 2-3 cups of carbon after 30-45 minutes of digging and picking. When asking why the price increase thinking maybe he got a new machine, his excuse was "nope, price just went up. Its a lot of work". Yet he couldnt take the time to do the work properly. Id hate to see his precision work on an engine if this is his cleaning job.

this shop is awesome ! its an old school no bs shop ! they dont try to talk u into spending more money then nessessary to get what you need or want done ! chris is bluntly honest , he will tell u if you if it dont make sense or if its just not worth the time or money !

Had broken exhaust stud on Cylinder head. Ryans removed it ,cleaned out the threads. 50.00 well spent. Like new.....In one day finished and out the next day .

Like another review i saw, same connecting rod issue, first off this place only takes "CASH" (should of been a red flag), people told me to stay away but I used them before along time ago so went with my gut. Went in for my crank to be cut and found other issues witch was fine, got engine back and lasted about 500 miles, when i took engine apart found a wrist pin backed out and ruined my block.. brought it to a reputable engine builder and said this engine was not assembled correctly, all rods are no good! My brand new forged pistons no good! and block is a mess due to poor machining and assembly, basically find another engine.. Ive used RYANS for the last 25 yrs, and thought i was among good people, but its not the same place as it used to be.. I believe the Father used to run the place he was good people and always did a good job on my machine work.. The New owner could care less about anything and would not stand behind anything he did. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! TERRIBLE waste of $1,756!!!

Everything was within spec for bore/hone, mains and rod journals all miked within 1.5 thou, but after getting my pistons and rods pressed in and weight matched two of the rods had deep chips on the bearing surfaces, making them unusable.

horrible!!!!!!! took a part of my roof rack there to get a new piece made. he told me to go buy a new one. unfortunately, its no longer manufactured. i told him i dont care how much it costs, i want a new piece made. i need a new piece made! after two weeks i call and find out he hasnt gotten into it yet. ok. another week, call, and the place is closed due to vaction for the next week. call after "vacation" he still hasnt gotten into it. called two weeks later, he still hasnt gotten into. fed up, i went and picked up my parts to find them covered in dust, and he told me, he never even looked at them. they sat there for 1.5 months and he never picked them up since i dropped them off. took it to a real machine shop and had a piece made in 3 days and paid 250 happily. this guy couldve had my buisiness and missed out. but im happy i got good work elsewhere.
