Would give a negative rating if possible. Saltless and tasteless food , atrociously over priced....shortage of staff, only 3-4 waiters for a packed place. Not worth a visit.

The ambience is good. The place is not crowded during weekdays and the service is also good. Its little expensive however the food tastes good. On weekends the place is full packed, better to book a table in advance

I had fry rice, Tast was good, i liked the food bt it was very costly.

I would give it a 4.5 but I could not so Im just let you know - I didnt enjoy the Biryani much but everything else was on point. Service was superb on a Sunday :)Definitely recommend the paneer tikka!Lovely ambience

Got back here to relive my memories. Service and food were absolutely amazing. Do try their dragon chilli paneer, yeral milagu perattal and Karaikudi kebab and jamoon cheese cake, absolutely the best!!!Please skip their ghilli biryani.

We went to have Lunch on a Saturday afternoon, after reserving seats for a special occasion. They did not have any varieties of mutton briyani. So disappointed and had to leave to the general food court in 3rd floor.

Hopeless place if you are going with friends due to non courteous staff specially the new mgmt and the manager. I was regular to forum mall with family and previous mgmt and staff were polite and good.new manager and non friendly staff will take away the pleasure of dining. Aust avoid place due to him

Not worth for money..just a chicken biriyani costs around 600rs.(583)rs.Taste also not good.I took food around 4:30 no AC at all.They say its malls AC and will switched off around 4PM.Im not sure then why they open the restaurant. Pathetic experience.

Fine dining. Food is good. Service is some what better. Poor air conditioning. They dont have separate a/c for their restaurant. Otherwise, they would have deserved for 5 stars instead of 3.

Horrible experience, we went there on our moms birthday and spoiled our day !who gives soup and mojito together ?? These people do.Biriyani was pathetic, change the name to tamarind and pepper rice.Too expensive and totally pathetic quality of food and customer service.The server there shows lot of attitude ! You are being paid from what we eat sir !! So have some humility !Overall, families dont go here and spoil your day and tongue !

Salt restaurant located in Forum, reason behind specifying the location is because of the costing of all meals!Although the menu is average and food taste is also average! The interior and ambiance was bad.Food was average. Something was good but few were quite bad. They dont seem to serve fresh non-veg items.You get 5-6 spoons of soup.People enjoyed desert though.Bit costly but its not worth the price.

Pls avoid this restaurant.We saw atleast 4 cockroaches. 2 on the table and 2 on that walls.The second service took forever. One guy was managing the entrie resturant. Even for hot water and spoons they took 20 mins.The Food taste was DECENT but the whole experience was TERRIBLE

Okayish restaurant inside the mall, and the only standalone restaurant apart from food court as of now. Customer service should be improved. Even though it looks very fancy from outside, there were insects roaming near our table - was such a nuisance. How could you be chasing cockroaches from stealing your food 🙄 Very expensive.

Good ambience.Platter was good but this place seems to be Pricy. Flat 10% service charge, which I dont like. Had to pay Rs 2300 for people of 4, though we just got 1 platter, two 1/2 soup, 4 naan, 1 paneer gravy. Costly.

I had lunch at Salt with a friend on Sunday. The space provides a decent enough Ambience. We ordered Bread and Gravy. Tables were placed close by each other and the place felt a little congested. However the table and seats where spacious. We sat in table for 4.I was bit disappointed with the Service since when we visited the place was quite crowded and there was just one man running around taking orders. I also felt there was a considerable amount of delay to bring the food to the table.If you are Forum Mall and have no time to go out and explore then definitely this would be your go to place.

The restaurant is way overpriced for the quality of food are especially service. They also charge 10 % service charge so be careful. Waiters and other management staff absolutely dont care if something is going wrong or not. All in all, a horrible dine experience.

Allepey Prawns + Coconut rice, Lucknow Saffron Butter Chicken, Elaneer Payasam, Chettinas Prawn pepper, were the best dishes we ordered, absolutely delectable and a great treat to our taste buds. Thanks Abhisek for serving us.

Taste was good. We loved the non veg kebab platter, but the portion size could have been better for the asking price. We went on a Sunday, so the place was heavily crowded and the food was delayed but the staff was courteous which made the visit a pleasant experience.

Heard of this joint from a lot of friends . Went for shopping to Vijaya Forum Mall - wanted to try , though we werent that hungry . The ambience is good , the restaurant is neat and clean and most importantly the staff are extremely courteous. We were greeted by the restaurant Manager Mr Philip , who guided us to the table . Service was quick .The items that we ordered were Delicious , Piping hot and we enjoyed the meal .Though prices in restaurants at Malls are expensive , thats the norm the world over .A must visit place 👍👌❤️

The restaurant is neat and has good ambiance. And seatings are well positioned. The price is bit expensive (its common in the restaurant inside a shopping mallbut its a best choice if you are going with your family or taking friends or clients. We tried chicken tikka and mutton biryani. Taste of tikka is very good and biriyani is average. Service is average, there were only 7 in the restaurant

Peppy paneer tikka sizzler was good but the quantity was bit limited compared to the price. Ordered a mushroom starter dish that tasted excellent. The rest of the main course tasted good too. They had included service charge in the bill, however upon asking to remove, they politely did that, without making any trouble unlike in some places.

Good ambience, taste, quality and quantity with very nice presentation of the dishes. All the dishes we tried tasted pretty good. Esp, I vote full mark for Brocolli kebab. Also, the biryani and fried rice varieties are too good. Something to appreciate about the rice quality. Definitely a must try place.

Very Costly restaurant... As name of the restaurant, they added lots ofSalt in all the dishes.. very salty soup. kebab platter only tastes good but not worth for 800 rupees.. chicken biriyani full of Salt.. never recommend at all.. 2 stars for the ambience alone..

Paneer Makhani cost around Rs 525 , even cheap fast food hotel can cook better paneer Makhani @150rs or even less pricePeas pulav , I never tasted such bad pulav in my life, raw smell and uncookedToo expensive, very less quantity and quality tooThey do additional service charge @10%, please be aware of there cheating , u can claim back the service charge. I missed to claim.Infact I paid tips tooIn the bill , they smartly mentioned is claimable.Charcoal chicken kabab, half cooked and raw, cost u 575 Rs, better eat in roadside kabab shop for 5 timesChilli potato, its a normal french fries with some sauce and honey.Worst experience, and too expensive

We were shopping at Forum and was recommended to this restaurant by the folks at the information booth in the mall. The restaurant advertised a number of mocktails which piqued our interest. We were seated quickly, however, the server informed that there are no mocktails available.. not even one!, then we started going through the menu and was informed couple of items were not available the reason is they had more than 50 swiggy orders come in. If they are so much into servicing take away orders then, why bother having a dine in experience. We ordered egg biryani and a starter. the food was very good, no complaints there. But service, once the order was take, none whatsoever... for the top dollar they charge, it left a lot to be desired. It is a restaurant with potential , but I do not know where their sights are....

Beautiful place, very neat and clean and tidy, well maintained. Hygiene wise also very much maintained, they take care of their customer very well, staff will behaved, their hot and Sour chicken soup is worth the try, worth visiting second time.

Best restaurant in Forum Vijaya mall. Never disappointed with their taste and presentation...best place for family & team outings. Today tried egg biriyani... So juicy...Eggs cut in to 4 pieces tossed in Yum masala ... Biriyani was so good delicious and the rice quality was top notch. The. Tried Chocolate brownie sizzler... Simply superb. It looked like cup cake in the place of brownie..but tasted so yum and the cake was so soft and melting along with chocolate sauce.

Starters and soups were amazing, charcoal kebab : very tender and less greasy , Nice ambience and knowledgeable staffs , but my Biriyani rice was warm outside but the chicken was cold and dry , so its reheated in a MW. Quality in overall is OK!

Fine dining with family is always fun! To have a cubicle, beautiful lighting and great ambience is an experience in itself. And add to that some sumptuous food, its a dinner date for ages.A Sunday night dinner preceded by some lively shopping with mom is always time well spent. We were downright hungry, so hit Salt, a restaurant on the 2nd floor of Forum Mall, Chennai. Though multi cuisine, Salt is Indian cuisine at heart. The charcoal chicken tikka served in skewers was a testament to it. The steaming hot tikka was well cooked with a balanced spread of masalas served with a katori of mint chutneyMain course is incomplete without Indian breads. We went with Butter Naan and Romali Roti. Maida needs a spot, right!🤷‍♂️ To lend some variety to the spread, we ordered a Veg Fried Rice. Paneer Hare Pyaaz Tikka Masala was the accompaniment for the nightThe combinations were bang on. If the roti with the tikka masala was just right, then the very aroma of the fried rice was mouth watering. The dinner was so filling that there was no place left for desserts. Salt never disappoints and it was true this time too.The dinner costed a shade below INR 1900 but it was worth the dime. For the beautiful view out the window, the clean environment and the sassy food Salt is worth the try more than once. They are currently running a Chinese food menu too. Next time if you are shopping in Forum, try Salt for lunch or dinner. You wont be disappointed

We have been eating at Salt for the past 10 years or so. Everytime the experience is the same. Good food, great taste, courteous staff, warm ambience.Its a perfect place to hang out with family and absolutely baby friendly. I always prefer the enclosed seating towards the window as it gives a little privacy compared to other tables. The restroom is also clean.Non Veg food tastes equally good as the Veg varieties. Must place to dine in if you visit Forum Mall.The prices are a little too much though.

Great place. Wonderful ambience and delicious taste. When we went in it wasnt crowded but in 30 min there were people waiting for tables. The dishes were delicious and the quantity reasonable. The prices are as you expect in a mall., a bit on the higher side. The waiting personnel were really prompt in their service despite the rush. They do serve movktails though Im not sure of real alcohol.

Review - The Salt (Inside Forum Vijaya Mall)We planned to go to Forum mall on new year and went to The Salt restaurant for lunch. To my surprise all dishes were extraordinary except soup ❤️Starting from Soup, we ordered Chicken milagu rasam soup and I was bit disappointed with it as it has same taste of chicken gravy which we normally prepare at home.Then to my surprise, Starters were awesome , we ordered Butter Chicken Lollipops and Thanjavur Prawn Fry ( missed to take picture and both of them were awesome ❤️Then comes the magnum opus, Turkey Biryani 🦃 which was out of the world 🔥 Aroma & spices everything blend together and smelt heaven ❤️ had around 5-6 pieces of Turkey and have decent quantity.Then we ordered 2 Malabar parota, 1 garlic naan and chicken milagu piratal.Chicken pepper was not very spicy but flavours was good. All tasted good and worth the penny.Price was bit more as it is inside the Mall. But its okay to have a good ambience food once in a while.

Very average service post covid. Dont know whether its the same team that served a year ago. But they keep on forgetting the orders that we placed.Proper bill was not given citing improper reasons. Card machine was not working.Food tasted average compared to my previous visit. The owners have to take a serious note else they might lose repeated visitors.

Located in Forum Vijaya Mall, this restaurant has ample seating space and designed in such a way for a lot of natural light to come in..!! Felt cozy and comfortable..!!They start off by giving off fryums basket.. The service was very fast and the folks were very polite and smiling..!!Athishi Machi Tikka - This was an outstanding dish, the fish was rightly grilled, good portion and great taste..!! (5/5)Khas Methi Murg - Very rich gravy and great to go with our Naans..!!Had Chilli Cheese Naan and Garlic Naan - good sized ones and great taste again..!!Their milk shake was way too cold and was cooler than an Ice Cream..!!

Great variety of Indian dishes especially of the tandoori category.Especially enjoyed the various types of breads and the biriyani.The mango iced tea which will be on the menu only during the mango season is also a must try.Reasonable prices considering the sizes of the food portions.Recommended for a meal with the entire family.
