Excellent meal, great value for money. Wish we had gone there earlier in the week but only open lunch time and closed Monday and Tuesday. Definitely recommend as my wife is coeliac and they couldn’t have been more helpful and cooked the meal for her.
We were staying in an apartment close to this lovely little cafe so decided to buy our lunchtime sandwiches there. It was the same lady who served us on both days and she was very friendly and professional. We sat and waited while our sandwiches were made. They were really nice, very fresh with plenty of filling. Wrapped up really well so we could transport them down to the beach for our lunch. Can thoroughly recommend.
Not impressed fat old Lady still wearing a mask to serve. To be honest slow service. Listen just my view as for add a photo well beach one better than this place
Beautiful breakfast, lovely owners, great price. 10/10 will be back.

So glad we found this cafe. Warm welcome from the owner, excellent coffee and tasty good value food. Made with fresh good quality ingredients. We will definitely be back to try Sunday lunch
Nothing too much trouble. Spotlessly clean, good food and customer service second to none. Will go again and would recommend to all
Five star freshly cooked brekkie including black pudding if it takes your fancy. Various options available including omlette and veggie. Top notch service highly recommend.
Lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Friendly service and dogs welcome. We will be back
Whst a lovely place! We had some refreshments here last Sunday and were so impressed with the service, and the quality of the food that we saw coming out. The prices were excellent, much cheaper than most nearby places. The owner was lovely, so helpful and friendly, would thoroughly recommend this place.
Visited today with my husband and 2 children age 7 and 10 for brunch. We arrived at 9.40, as website advertised as open at 9.30am. This wasnt too much of an issue. We waited outside for a couple of minutes and the owner let us in. We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome. Service was speedy, food was excellent, really good value for money. The restaurant was lovely and clean. Nothing was too much trouble and the owners were great with the kids. The restaurant is still very much working to covid compliant rules but dont let that put you off. We look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you.
We popped into The Schooner for lunch after a very long tiring walk. The owner welcomed us and nothing was too much trouble for her. Being unable to speak I was given the time to write down my lunch request, which were met perfectly. We had a very good lunch which set us up for the return walk. The owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her.An excellent experience.
Best hot chocolate and salted caramel brownie I have ever had. Lovely staff
Had a Flat White coffee, wife had a Latte, must say it was better than Costas , and the food and service is 10/10, if your down Southbourne beach, you must stop there for you food. Very impressed.
Excellent cafe. Look forward to eating there when we can eat inside. Great service!
Lovely food, good value for money, great service
My husband and I had breakfast the food was amazing sourced locally cooked fresh, coffee was great staff lovely, husband had a piece of fruit cake to take a way for later. Will definitely go back would like to try a roast next time thank you.
Eric was on top form today, food was delicious, Debbie hope you get well soon.
Great food, attentive and friendly staff, nice atmosphere
Really nice family run place to eat. Only downside is Emma was a little over flirty to some of the other female customers and it seemed a bit unprofessional.
Stumbled across this little place. I was five minutes past the last orders time for lunch but they kindly did me one anyway. I had fish pie - was lovely and clearly home made. Served piping hot with a good variety of fresh veg. I had a butterfly cake for afters - again homemade and divine. The menu is extensive plus they have daily specials. They are open for breakfast and lunch, plus Thur/Fri/Sat evenings. This place was a good find and I will deffo be back next time I am in the area.
Very nice cooked breakfast. Owners were very pleasant as well.
Super little cafe with a wide and varied menu and specials board...all food cooked fresh with old fashioned service. Table reservations can be phoned in advance and open in the evening Friday, Saturday.

Went for an evening meal, the staff were friendly, the menu varied, the food freshly cooked, and very good, we had a very nice chicken dish, and a lamb dish, with wine and sweet, the prices very reasonable, but best of all we were allowed to bring our Golden Retreiver in with us.Give The Schooner a try,you will not be disappointed.
Excellent food and a lovely homely atmosphere, a great menu and all in walking distance of the beach.
