Service was friendly. Food was tasteless and hardly had any meat. Way to expensive for what you get!

I try and eat here every couple of weeks. I can NOT go in on lunch. There is one waitress and she will take 15 mins to even come over and ask me what to drink. If you don’t have atleast 2 hours to wait on her to decide if she wants to wait on u then I would NOT recommend. The food is decent but nothing special. They are never packed when I go in but the waitress will serve everyone around me. She serves bigger groups first before someone that is by themselves. I’m assuming due to higher Tips. Today I walked in and sat for a good 10 mins before she came over and said she would not have time for my order for another 10 mins… it was NOT packed at all. Highly suggest pick up since that’s all it looks like they focus on. Not very happy with this establishment at all.

The inside of the Restaurant was very clean and the Tables were all cleaned. The Server was very polite and the Food was great.

I have dined at the establishment before and was pleased to have again food that was tasty and served quickly, the cook no less. Would recommend to anyone going to Emporia.

The lo mein is my favorite in town. Quick service and reliably delicious. Ive had no bad experiences here.

My favorite Chinese food. Ive traveled all around the US and tried so many Chinese restaurants. They hands down have the best. The rice is always perfect and tasty. Not oily or soggy by any means nor sweet like alot of Chinese restaurants. I dont like sweet things so thats a huge thing for me. Highly recommend.

We stopped through on our way to Kansas City and got the moo goo gai chicken. Everything was delicious!

Been coming here for years and always stop by anytime passing through Emporia. Very reasonably priced but fantastic food! Staff is always friendly and service is good.

Went around 9:15pm, scared it was closed. First time being there, but the staff was extremely kind and its the best lo mein Ive ever had.

Reliably good food at moderate prices. Visited there last night for the first time. Appetizers, soup, and entrees were very good. Portions were generous. Service was OK, but our server kept forgetting to bring us extra napkins as requested. Came back tonight for a platter of appetizers. Again, very tasty. Same server. Forgot the napkins, again. But she made up for it otherwise by attentiveness and pleasant attitude.

Favorite place to eat when in Emporia. Try the manderian chicken....not on the menu anymore but they still make it. Best crab ragoons Ive ever had.

Good food, polite staff, and amazing decor, all of this can be found at Shanghai. This quaint little restaurant is "Chinese meets Home-town-Diner." Its small, homey, and filled with friendly places. I highly recommend the Lemon Chicken for the youngster Orange Beef for the daring, and their fried rice for everyone in between!

Food tasted good, but veggies were not cooked enough. Waitress was nice, but brought me wrong appetizer. She brought the right one and stuck the one she gave me back in the warmer. I did not touch my plate yet, but still..... Not good.

The food was not very good very blah the waitress was very anoying the cook sits at the bar and is counting his money yes my wife and I were the only ones there but not very professional the water had a bad taste to it the rice was not fully cooked we asked for fried rice we got white rice . very bad experience dont recommend eating there. An hour later my wife and i both were sick

This a good restaurant in Emporia. I needed to pick my large order up a little earlier than anticipated and the staff was wonderful and accommodating! I usually get Kung Pao Chicken. Its hot, but not so hot you cant eat it.

Food was good. Server/hostess lady was obnoxiously loud. She ruined lunch.

The food was decent, which is the best thing I can say about it, the white rice was cold, little to no service, seat yourself, and less than tidy accommodations, table was sticky, bathroom was dirty, and I cant say enough about the lack of caring that showed in the service provided, made me worry about how my food was prepared, and to top it all off I paid almost 50 dollars for food that wasnt worth half of that...

No matter what you order it is going to be great! I have never had bad food here!! It is actually the best Chinese food I have had anywhere. The owners are fantastic as well. Cant go wrong with this place ever!!!

Food is good. Be careful of their charge to use a debit card. They wont tell you when you order that most meals are under $10 with tax and they charge a processing fee on orders under $10. They wont add to your order either.

There is a reason it gets voted best Chinese food in Emporia. Not to mention that the lunch specials are very cheap and filling. A staple to the Emporia area. Frank and staff are always friendly and like to converse with customers. Today I had the Kung Pao beef with fried rice, crab rangoon, and hot and sour soup.

We came for lunch here. Had sweet and sour chicken and chicken lo mein. Lunch was 5.75 and came with fried rice, small bowl of egg drop soup and a crab rangoon. It was delicious!!!! Only issue was the service was slow.

Every time I get a chance I am eating at Shanghai and every time makes me want to come again. Frank runs such a happy friendly restaurant that I always leave happy and full.Hands down Shanghai is the very best in its field for miles around. Ive been to China and this food tastes like the real thing. The building needs some serious renovations. It felt like an old American fast food restaurant that served Chinese. Also, there was a dead goose in the parking lot. Service was good.
