I am immensely impressed by this facility and the overall experience I had. I had left my childhood dentist, due to unprofessionalism and a lack of due diligence on their part in expected services provided. Dr. Herman and the whole staff were amicable, personable, knowledgeable, and THOROUGH. I did not realize how much my previous dentist was slacking on, even with my daily routine. Thank you to everyone at Shore Smiles for a great visit and I look forward to perfecting my smile with you! :)

Ive been going to Dr. Herman since I was young (27 now), and its never been anything but excellence. Ive always had a fear growing up of dentists but Dr. H helped eliminate that a long time ago. I love the front desk and all the dental hygienists. I always feel comfortable when I come in and know I am in good hands. Thanks Dr. Herman for being an amazing doctor and person! You always make me laugh, and actually enjoy (who says thatgetting my teeth done.

I thought this would be a wonderful place to continue to bring my kids doc seemed great and all!! Let you have a problem with your insurance and your insurance not pay the bill!! If he answers the phone he will yell at you and tell you “he doesn’t care that he has bills to pay too” along with “do you want you credit score to go down” cause he will send you to collections!! Apparently I had 2 insurances and I was unaware of so I was trying to explain to him and he said “I don’t care about your insurance situation you need to pay this bill” “you pay the bill and take it up with your insurance later” he was very rude and unprofessional I will never bring my kids back!! Like I said to him if I was running from the bill I wouldn’t be calling every week to see if there were any changes as far as insurance

I absolutely love Dr. Herman and his team! Nowadays it’s hard to find any medical office/physicians that take the time to get to know you or talk to you about your concerns without feeling rushed through the office and out the door. Dr. Herman and his team surpassed my expectations! I have less anxiety about going to the Dentist now. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

When I called in last Friday morning with intense pain Dr. Herman told me to come in so he could see me even though the office was closed. He met me there, treated the immediate problem, and filled me in on what probably needed to happen next. I couldnt be more pleased with the treatment and service he provided. David Hernan is a lying thief & is a verbally abusive bully. A real goniff. He is a two faced, heartless thing.

There was no discussion of fees. Had to pay higher than expected co-pay. Didn’t seem like my whole visit was sent to my insurance but only x-ray.

Excellent service, great conversation. I enjoy going to the dentist now.

Dr. Herman and his staff have created a clean, safe and incredibly friendly office experience during these unprecedented time. They have gone above and beyond to ensure everyone at the office is distanced, and the rooms sterilized between patients. Ive yet to wait longer than 5 minutes and each procedure is clearly explained before, during and after, making the entire experience as seamless as possible. Would highly recommend!

Just had my crown put back in. Up till today I was very satisfied with this business. He put in the final crown-bridge and to make it fit had to file the tooth down. He filed the porcelain off the crown because of my bite. But left a spot that shows the metal. He offered to fix it but would then have to drill my top tooth (above itto make it fit not guaranteeing that it would cause a problem. Had to accept the incompetence to not cause more damage to my teeth. Never returning to this place again.It has been 3 days since this appointment and I am now in excruciating pain. I am too afraid to go back to get it fixed.

Dr. Herman and his staff are very professional and caring. My visit to his office was very comfortable and I knew right away he was a great dentist. Ive only seen him twice so far but I look forward in continuing my care with his practice. He will be honest and flexible to treatment if there is multiple options.

Staff is friendly. Was extremely impressed by the Hygienist, he explained a lot to me. Dr. Herman is knowledgeable and explains your treatment he suggests going forward. They make you feel comfortable from the time you walk in the door until you leave.

Look no further, because this dental office is a 10/10. The receptionist was warm and welcoming, and the dental hygienist was INCREDIBLE. She made me feel comfortable, was gentle, explained everything she was doing and just overall had a great personality. She is truly a blessing. Then Dr. Herman came in and he had such a great attitude. He was very through and gave me confidence in his ability to care for my teeth. It is hard to find a good doctor.It took me 40 years but I found him in Dr. Herman. Dr.Herman has cared for me and my family for the last 13 years. We have experienced the gamut from cleanings, fillings, root canals, caps, crowns, implants and even Invisalign. Dr. Herman has been my source of informed dental procedures all explained in a common language that a non-medical individual could understand. He is knowledgeable, skilled and patient willing to listen to his patients concerns and fears.Dr. Herman has been a godsend for an individual who had an intense fear of doctors. He has inspired me to care for my teeth properly. I have no regrets. You get what you pay for in life. Dr. Herman and his staff is worth every cent I have spent. I only wish he could do my knee replacement.

I first came to Shore Smiles for an emergency root canal after being unable to get an appointment with my old dental practice- they got me in immediately and provided such exemplary service that I immediately left my old dentist. Their schedules are accommodating, the front desk is so helpful and considerate, and the office is modern and soothing. I highly recommend anyone in Monmouth County considers Shore Smiles!

If I could leave NO STARS, I would. Dr. Herman is a money riddled and shady dentist that should not be trusted. I would suggest looking elsewhere, just read the other reviews about sketchy payments, charges and rudeness that this man creates.

I have been a nurse for 30 years, I have never met a dentist that was so caring, and helpful until I met Dr Herman. Anytime I had a problem with my teeth, he would make sure the issues were resolved, and always called me back right away, even on the weekend. The staff is always so nice to me, and always greets me with a warm welcoming smile. My whole family loves Dr Herman, and his staff.

Stay clear of this crook. Over charged for work that now has to be redone. Two of the root canals he done needs to be redone and one is close a gonner and being pulled. Look else where for a dentist

ZERO STARS. WORST DENTIST EVER. charged me for work that was never done. pushes you to get all of this work done, and when you refuse it, he charges you anyway...... just a horrible experience through and through. I stopped going and I am still getting bills years later!!!!! a money hungry animal. what a joke.

I have to say that Dr. Herman is not just on of the best dentists I have ever encountered, but also one of the best medical professionals period. He is kind, patient, courteous and caring. He takes the time to explain everything he is doing, and answers any and all questions with patience and understanding. Although I moved, I still drive over 45 minutes to go to him because I will not change dentists. Thank you Dr. Herman and staff!
