Sierra Vista Department of Public Works in Cochise County

I understand city council having the end of fry done to gentrify the area to bring in more revenue, but there are alot of damaged residential streets that are falling apart , kayetane and theatre are both good examples of thisAnd yet.....nothingHaving my truck bounce 6 inches up and down because of 3 foot wide foot deep potholes in some of these areas just isnt doing me or my suspension any favors

7-10 business days after THEY recieve the order to turn on trash services

My husband and I had a flat near the animal shelter on a cold and windy day. The vehicle is new to us and we could not even figure out how to get the jack loose. Ray and Guillermo of the public works department stopped to offer help and even changed the tire for us using their jack. We are so thankful to these two helpful men!!

Glass Recycle

I was an intern at the city of sierra vista, public works department. The people who work there are wonderful individuals.Most complaints you hear about the public works department are created when one forgets entirely about the fact that these people are working non-stop in order to keep the city running in an orderly fashion. When there is one day of incredibly significant rainfall, everyone calls in to complain about it even though the structures are designed to sustain and handle almost all levels of rainfall. This is one example of the complaints the department is bombarded with continuously.

The city of Sierra Vista, Arizona has a second rate trash pickup. Pickups have been missed on scheduled days. Whoever is responsible for the 2015 Trash and Recycle Schedule wasnt paying attention for the 4th of July weekend. They managed to place the recycle pickup on a RED day. When personnel at the city were contacted they did nothing about it. Finally the city tax dollars are going to waste on someone answering the phone after hours whose only job is to tell people to call back on a working day. I hope the Department of Public Works will get it head out of its rear end and fix the problem because people deserve the service they pay for. Drivers need to pay attention and do the job right. Please: STOP RIPPING US OFF!
