Large portions. Lots of variety on the menu plus nightly specials. Our waitress was excellent!!
Good food options, very deli local style options. Food did take a little to come out.
I was quite surprised the food was very good.
Good portion sizes, great service, clean place. Will definitely go back.
Food was good waitress pite and efficient and reasonably priced
Great tasting homemade food at reasonable prices.
I don’t like watching people shop at a second hand store while I eat at a $$ restaurant
Great food and great staff very friendly. Its very confusing on how to enter this place. You go through the front door and they tell you you should have came in through the thrift store.
Great service and food, reasonable prices.
Everything is delicious and I get to thrift shop afterwards!
I purchased a slice of carrot 🥕 cake. It was DELICIOUS 😋
Shepards Pie, Hot Roast Beef Sandwich and Meatloaf are delicious for meat lovers! The seafood entrees have been enjoyed by dining friends. And of course Pretzel Salad! Yum!
Food is great! Only problem…. Today I went for their pretzel salad. When I open the container, I get this small piece of pretzel for $4.50. It’s normally a larger amount so I was really disappointed. It was a $3.00 size piece. Everything is costing more, yet getting less.
Delicious Food... Great Service. Will continue to return for breakfast , lunch and dinner.
Classic American diner food. Cant rave about it but if you want some decent grub at a reasonable price, you wont be sorry.
My dinner was amazing and the service was also amazing😊
Waitresses were debating abt their tips, didnt give me my order, and when someone else helped, my desserts were left out. I spent $60 on a to go order with no consideration.
When Im in the Area, I absolutely Love to Come here and Eat! I Think this is an Absolute Million Dollar Idea! A "Thrift Store" with a 5 Star Quality Food Restaurant in it!!
The "hostess " seating people had an absolutely horrible attitude. The place was hot and stuffy. I do not recommend it. I left and did not order anything.
Great breakfast we had on our way home from Chincoteage. We also enjoy browsing around in the second hand shop too. Prices are fantastic.
Very good food and nice portions. Staff very friendly.
Food is always delicious. Staff is great
Smiths was great! I meant to take a picture of my platter but I forgot yet again.🤦🏽 The server was very friendly. The food was really good.
We usually dont have a problem here but this time we waited over an hour for our food. We had to constantly ask to refill coffee and drinks. We were never told the kitchen was over an hour behind. The waitress was always off somewhere else. Then to top it off she gave us the wrong check. Needless to say she didnt get a tip. Will be looking for somewhere else to.
Go to place in Seaford for comfort food. Home cooking at a reasonable price. Very nice staff and you can browse the thrift store too!
OMG! What a breakfast! Had corned beef hash with 2 eggs and grits. I dont eat it very often but corned beef hash is one of those things I judge a restaurant by and Smiths Cafe excelled. The waitress was absolutely on point; very pleasant and fast. Ill definitely stop there again whenever I travel along route 13 in Delaware. Cool story behind the restaurant too. Worth a visit!
There is absolutely NO place around this area that compares to Smith’s. None of the other local restaurants even come close. Everything on their menu has a home-cooked feel and tastes just like it came straight out of your grandmother’s kitchen. If you live here, or even if you’re just visiting… I highly recommend stopping in here.
I had the turkey mashed potatoes & stuffing. My husband has the hot turkey sandwich. All very good. He also had the stuffed pepper soup. It was excellent vas was the coleslaw.
The food was good and reasonable priced staff very friendly and they kept coming back to see if you need anything great place to eat
Service could be a little faster. But enjoyed my experience and my food. The prices are pretty good too with a wide selection.
The food was ok. Just not stellar. Like everyone else, they were short staffed but the staff were nice and didnt act like they were rushed. Nice atmosphere.
Me and the husband stopped in for a early dinner tonight. We both had the chicken and dumplings special with 2 sides and a piece of chocolate pie to go.It was awesome. The service was great, cant remember our servers name she was tall with short dark hair.
Love this place. Its bright and clean and fresh, the staff are really sweet, the food is delicious and the prices are very fair. We just had a big family meal there and it was great.
This was my first time going to this restaurant a friend of mine referred me. I mist say my experience was pleasant. I ordered The Hot Turkey sandwich, onion rings, sweet potatoes. I ate some onion rings before snapping the picture lol Customer service was great. I think they should allow different options for the bread choice. Sweet potatoes was ok could be cooked a little longer mine was a tab hard. Either way other then what was mention everything was good I will return for a date with my husband.
Have followed this wonderful family for years ❤ everywhere they opened a new restaurant wed go, because they have the best food, desserts and their staff so accommodating and genuinely friendly 💯🥰❤we started eating at their place when they were on #9 and Old Furness Rd. when we moved down here from New Castle and have watched the Smiths and their children grow up, such a special loving family 💯🥰❤🙏🤗Lynn Alexander ❤
Rt 13N just leaving Seaford, De, you will find Smiths Cafe (inside a thrift store). Good place for comfort food, excellent service and the opportunity to shop for a treasure before or after your meal. Menu has lots of selections from salads, sandwiches and home style meals. Today we had the Turkey and stuffing dinner and shepherds pie. Both were very good and so big we had to take half home. Prices very reasonable especially when you are really getting two meals out of the servings. Check them out when youre in the area.
Very clean well spaced and excellent server. Very nice. Kitchen was quick and Sunday morning church crowd seated promptly. All age groups being served. Quiet and cool inside just right
Usually get a good meal there. Chicken and Shrimp were brought out greasy, flavor lacking. The first time Ive been disappointed with their food. Staff behind the counter complaining about orders, shouldnt be done infront of customers waiting to be seated.
Definitely one of the best places for breakfast in the area. I imagine all of their food is good but Ive only ever had breakfast. Food comes out quick and hot. Servers are very attentive and friendly.
The service and price was good. The crab cakes and the macaroni and cheese was really good. Maryland crab soup was good. The rolls I asked for more to go with extra sides. Decor isnt great, but I came for the food. This was our first time here. We definitely are coming back.
This was the BEST restaurant Ive had in YEARS. I had the fried seafood dinner with the coleslaw and macaroni and cheese and that macaroni and cheese was AMAZING. It reminds you of those after church dinners where someones grandma put her foot in it. Then they had sweet potato rolls which I havent had since I was a kid. My only negative comment would be that they dont have a branch in Columbus GA for me to enjoy. But... that gives me a reason to come back home and visit well family too but mostly for the food. If I could give 10 stars I would but Google wont let them be great.
Wow, great place. Just had lunch, turkey wrap and fries, husband had chicken nugget basket with potatoes wedges. Every thing was fresh, and freshly made. The letter and tomato on my wrap were fresh, I always say you can tell how good a place is by the lettuce and tomato. The fries and wedges were hot and crispy as were the nuggets, it was 2 in the afternoon and they made them fresh, had not been sitting waiting for someone to be order. Dont let entering thru the thirft store stop you from trying it, you wont be disappointed
This place is a little hidden gem! You dont expect much because its attached to another store but once seated you get a delicious meal! We had breakfast there and the coffee was great, the waitress checked on us often, and our breakfast was good! The prices were what shocked us the most. Everything was extremely well priced as well.
Our waitress was great and all staff were pretty friendly and helpful. The food was very very good 👍If you like chicken salad....check theirs out!!! Pretty tasty and somewhat sweet. My two babies ( husband and soncan be critical. They loved it also. Oh and there chili Awesome....chunky right amount of spice!
Outstanding! You may die a slow death eating at this place on the regular, with its delicious mouth watering smothered chops and other country and seafood delicacies! Oh did i mention their slap your mama apple pie! No dont do that, but you know what I mean figuratively.
3 of us showed up on Sunday at 4:30 and there werent many people. Neither person at the counter acknowledged us granted one person was checking out a guest and another was preparing to go orders. After 7-10 minutes of waiting we were finally taken to a table but it was dirty so instead of seating us at another clean table we had to awkwardly stand in the doorway as they cleaned it off. Took another 5-8 minutes for a waitress to come by. She was friendly. Took our complete order brought our drinks and rolls. Never brought my salad. Dropped our food off 30 minutes later and then didnt come back until she brought the check. My meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans were COLD. Not even lukewarm I mean COLD. Definitely not the same standards as when they were in Greenwood.
A hole in the wall. It’s attached to a thrift store but has some amazing food. The service here is always friendly and loving. The chicken pot pie is Amy absolute favorite and I must recommend it. Although everything else I’ve had it awesome. The rolls are super delicious. Especially their sweet potato rolls.
This place was awesome. Mom & dad took me her for dinner for me & my daughters birthday. Food was awesome, employees very nice not one complaint. Its a smaller place we did have to wait a little bit but with everything going on in the world, they were just following what theyre suppose to do. & the prices very reasonable.. need more places like this.
We stopped for Breakfast our first time and I got this Fit Breakfast offering for less then $6.00 with coffee. I think its a Great Value.
This is my favorite little diner! The staff is awesome & the food is even better!
