Sonic Drive-In in Barry County

I do not normally write reviews but felt I needed to on this. We had quit going to Sonic bcause of their intercom system. They would hardly ever get your orders correct even after you repeated yourself. After we discovered their app we started going again. Worked out great, place your order, pay and tip all at the same time. Didnt have to yell into the speaker. Im not sure if your app order prints out for them or just on a screen for them to see. I do know they send me an email confirming what I ordered and the total amount. Well tonight may have changed my mind again about going any more. Place my order on the app, medium tator tots with chili and onions, corndogs and 2 drinks. Our order came out in about 10 minutes, the carhop handed us our order 1 bag with the order and the 2 drinks, then went on their way to serve more customers. When we opened the bag we noticed that no tator tots were in the bag. I then pressed the button to call in and let them know. They said they would bring it right out. It was getting busy at this time. 30 minutes later after my wife tried calling the store and getting no answer we decided we have waited enough and left. I will not let this keep me from using the app and going back, but I will check my order before the carhop runs off. Only 1 star for this trip. Just incase someone actually reads this. I was visiting family in the area and am very glad we stopped at this location. Best mix for the cranberry limeade I have had in the past few years. Staff is awesome!

Love their Cherry Nerd Slushes!!!

They are just like every sonic but they are really slow. There is not much people here right now and I’ve sat here for 20 minutes to get my food.

Lots of parking available if you want sit and enjoy your meal or a drive thru for if your on go

I love their pork tenderloin sandwich.

I’m not one to leave reviews but This has been an ongoing frustrating issue. When a customer asks for something specifically like a sauce or a drink carrier please please please for the love of God bring them it!! Especially when there’s more than one drink ordered please give them a drink carrier!! Many times I have asked for a drink carrier in the car happened showed up with my multiple drinks and no drink Carrier.

Refused us service because they closed their grill down early. Then the next day charged us twice by accident and we ended up having to call the cooperate number to get it refunded back. Both times they didnt give us the correct orders. We had mistakes.

Paid 9$ + $1.50 tip for your girl, burger, fries and drink. That was a very expensive soda cause it wasn’t edible.

Very expensive.Three dried, thin chicken strips.Tater tots were ok.Dont understand why we were given bread.Ice tea was very good.

Undercooked onion rings with little breading, zero customer service skills, even from the manager on duty. Forgot all condiments when they brought the order out, even though they were all on the mobile order. Then, we hen we called in to request they bring them out, their response was, “Well, you’re gonna have to wait a minute.” No ownership or effort to make it right. I rarely leave a bad review, but this was exceptionally poor service. No apologies offered whatsoever.

Daytime little hectic around Sonic but I got to say the night crew management make sure orders get out promptly very impressed

Very rude today soon as I pulled up they said your taking to long can you just go to a stall with no one else in line I was there two minutes I have 5 kids

Our sonic is cheeks. I go there often because I live a minute away. The food is good but there has not been a time in the last year that I have gone where they didn’t forget something in my order. I order online every time so they don’t mishear me. Working at sonic must be so overwhelming since they can’t take the time to put my sauce in the bag lol

Sonic is a great burger place, always has been.. one of my favorite spots to eat.

It is Sonic, what can you say? The food was ok. Better than McDonalds. No challenge there. The burger was smashed dry. (Flip the burger twice, no more, and never squish the juice out!The carhop was not knowledgeable about the menu items (she told me to ask the cookswhich I thought was weird too.

Service is never friendly and not always hot. Today pushed us over the edge. They were running 1.99 coneys and we ordered 2 we did also mention the promotion as noted to do. We also ordered drinks and tots! When they brought us our food we noticed we had been over charged and called them back to get it resolved. The management told us there was nothing they could due to to us already paid. LMAO THATS WHAT A REFUND IS. We paid more than if we had just ordered the number.

Wasnt too busy got our slushs pretty quick durning happy hour so made it even better. Still get thumbs up!!!!

Food was OK but I asked for mustard they gave me ketchup asked for tator tots they gave me fries, go figure lol

It is a hit or miss on the food and service here. Sometimes it is amazing, and then other days they are either supper busy or have lazy staff for the day and it shows in the food. On days that it is good I give them a five out of five, on the other hand I struggle to even give it a three out of five. My top food items are number four: the bacon toaster with an onion ring, and a large order of onion rings with added chili and cheese. My top drinks: Dr. Pepper with cherry and vanilla, then a blue slushy, and last but not least a strawberry cherry limeade. The hubby loves the supper sonic breakfast burrito and iced coffee.

Big ol juicy burgers slidin down my gullet is always the result of me visiting this sonic. Can’t disagree with sonic.

Got the wrong size cheddar bites and they redone the order I had already paid with credit card they said they canceled it but still went through and had to pay second also but didnt get to keep first order

Literally the worst thing you can do is ask “is that all” after everything there is on an order. 9/10 someone will tell you when they are done. That is so rude there is a few girls in this sonic that need to learn how to take an order a little nicer and learn some patience

They were very very slow.. I waited almost 15 minutes for an ice water. And there were only maybe 3 cars total there... And they got my order wrong a couple dozen times..

Got our Happy Hour drinks. You also have a new Mocha blast that is the best blast Ive ever tasted.

I went thru the drive thru. The girl immediately came on the speaker and took my order. I pulled up and waited 4 to 5 minutes for a drink.

Stopped for a quick bite and a drink. Food was hot. The drink tasted watered done not much flavor. Carhop was great.

Couldve been better, had to wait what seemed an excessive amount of time for four drinks. Had two different orders asked if they were ours and once we received our order it wasnt 100% correct

It’s getting really old. I am to the point where I rather drive to a surrounding area to their Sonic vs ours. Service is poor unless Brittany is there. I order one of two drinks. Both are frequently made wrong. Peach and mango water add real cherry with extra ice. Paying that extra $$ & getting just one cherry is RIDICULOUS! My strawberry lemonades are 95% of the time sent back because they make them as a strawberry limeade.Just because I want extra ice doesn’t mean the rest of my order does.Not to mention the slow service even when just a few cars.This place seems to be going down hill!!

Extremely long wait. Food was easily a day old. Don’t come here not to point out it’s ran by 12 year olds.

First and last time i come here i ordered cherry limeade extra cherry and extra lime raised my drink a whole dollar thats fine but i get home not 1 cherry or 1 lime extra dollar for what . Seriously!!! I wont be back Hate getting Ripped Off

I mean it is a great place for drinks and sandwiches! Also get the app it is convenient and shows all the specials. Also they run crazy good specials if you get the message alerts and they make a 44 oz red bull slush!!! We all know thats what our heart needs with greasy food.

Its an okay store. Little sloppy on assembly, they hold their fries and tots too long often. Service is always good. Being from Texas ( sonic mecca,loli do judge a little harshly, to be fair lol. Nuff Sed 👏🙌

042321 update: it seems order times are slowing down and also that accuracy is slightly degraded lately. My breakfast burrito, which is the same one that I just reorder using the app whenever I want one, was half the size of the one I got in Joplin last time.Original:Great service! App is worth half price drinks around the clock.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They forgot my large sprite and when I back to get it, the lady kept interrupting me. Was finally able to get it and left. Ran into another problem! Hair in the chili cheese fries!!! What a disappointment!! I was not gonna go back to argue with the same lady.. Never had these kind of problems here. I ended up just throwing everything out since seeing the hair. Seeing everything just made me want to gag!

The morning crew is great. However, I do not recommend going at lunch, in the evenings or on the weekend. They cant get a simple drink order correct.

Keep in mind that Ive only been there this one time.Went through drive thru, ordered Route 44 Cherry Limeade. After my car was at the pickup site, three orders, with Limeades + food were offered to me. But they were not my order. 20 minutes before my simple drink order came.Staff were very nice. Drink was fine. I just couldnt understand why my foodless order took much longer than the other orders.

Horrible place to eat, took 40 mins just to get two orders and a couple drinks. When we finally got our food it was cold and soggy. Never. Going. Again. The only good part about this place is that I had an amazing carhop, I think her name was keisha.

Love the friendly staff and much shorter wait times than a few years ago. Only complaint is it would be nice if the car hops would bring the condiments requested when taking our order rather than have to go back inside to get them since this has now happened on multiple occasions.

Look at my photos, $9.00 dollars a box for a five piece meal, four the size of the tater tots. Lost my business today. $40 for nothing. Monett MO. Sonic. Family left hungry.

Soooo slow! Went on a Sunday late at night (around 9p). We ordered 2 meals and drinks and our order took 20 minutes. Who knows how long the van sat in front of us for (before they left), and they only ordered a burger and a drink. Food tastes good but service was rediculous in the drive through for only a hand full of cars total.

Went there today. The girl who took our order was really rude. Asked my husband if wanted anything else and interrupted him mid sentence with our total. Then we had to wait 14 minutes for 2 sandwiches and a corn dog. Also, there was brown lettuce on my sandwich. Gross.

Tried eating sonic again tonight, got home order was completely wrong only thing right was drink. Had to drive back across town to get my money back. 3 times in the last week ordered food and it was wrong. Servers are rude,hateful high school kids. I always tip carhops. I gave girl $3.00 Sunday no thank you or anything I asked for some salt she looked irritated and never came back. This sonic has went downhill fast to being one of monetts worst places to eat! Poor management makes bad employees who dont care.

Forgot one of our drinks. Asked for a drink carrier and they forgot it also. Still, the hamburger and tots were very good. I wish the new ordering system would let you leave a tip, as we always used to do so when paying the old way.

Service is slow (real slowwaited half an hour for a simple order. And the burgers suck. Prices are way too high! A 5 piece jalapeno popper order should be no more than $2.00, yet it cost 5 damn bucks! Best they had was the chicken club. Taken off the menu! Regular chicken sandwich SUCKS!

The food is good if you have time to wait. With that said, the chicken strips are by far the smallest Ive ever seen! The three-piece equals about 6 bites.They must be dealing with some type of transition, I hope they get better soon.
