I had success at this place before, especially with Dr. Mullings, however its impossible to ever get anyone on the phone to schedule an appointment.
Dr Mullins is awesome and so caring and the assistants are wonderful and so caring,Lady (my furbabyloves them, I would recommend them to everyone!
Very nice people
My grandparents Ron and Barb Menzel recently had to put down their 17 year old toy poodle, Carly. Although they were extremely heart broken, Dr. Mullings made the process so much easier and was extremely compassionate throughout their entire time in the office. She truly was an angel to them during this time and they are extremely grateful to her for showing them (and Carlyso much kindness.
Went here with my newly adopted dog and they took him and I had to stay in my car. Not even a minute later, they finished his exam. How? My dog was obviously never looked at properly nor did they even take his stool sample. His appointment cost me about $120. For what? You guys didn’t even look at him! And when I called the vet because I was supposed to get a list of medication for his anxiety I got absolutely nothing. I was told you guys would email me information on how to help him and no one followed up after I called about it twice. My dog was put down about three weeks later because he lashed out and bit me twice. Obviously had something wrong but was not examined the extent he needed to be. Horribly disappointed in your service. You overcharge for the service you give. I understand owners stay in their cars with COVID guidelines but that is not an excuse for shoddy work.
My dog of 13 years, and in perfect health, was given something orally upon our first visit. He immediately had an adverse reaction and was in a terrible state. The staff seemed much more concerned with going home on time as we were the last appointment of the day. This kind of coldness I have rarely seen. I was shooed out. Henry went completely deaf as a result of this reaction and died weeks later.
First check up for my new kitten. Kind of weird having to sit in car but they were very quick and everything went well. The staff was very friendly and kept me informed on what they did and the next steps for my new buddy.
Their hours are terrible, and they are more concerned about money than your pet.
They took me on an emergency call over a holiday weekend, a couple hours before closing, and were very kind, communicative and easy to work with. They are not even my regular vet (out of townerand I would recommend them.
Love the staff and Dr Mullings. Im sure Dr Mullings see tons of people and their pets but she always remembers us and our animals. Her patients are not just names/numbers in a log book. That keeps us coming back.
Very caring and friendly.
We agree 4.4 we never had a bad experience
Everyone is so sweet and professional. Especially Dr. Mylans
the humans here ROCK! Helped us out quick...and didnt destroy the wallet
Very knowledgeable
Caring veterinarian totally involves owners in treatment plans. She really listens to concerns and takes time to explain options. Highly recommend.
Love Dr. Mullings! She always takes her time, is thorough, and very experienced. My dog is happy to go to the vet and that says a lot!
Dr. Mullins is wonderful! My cat, Gracie, was sick, and Dr. Mullins diagnosed the issue & prescribed the right medicine. Problem was resolved right away! Happy cat 😸 and happy owner 😀. Highly recommend the practice.
My dog loves it. Drs. Are great
This practice really does care about your pets. Every sick visit, we get a follow-up call from the doctor which is really appreciated. This time, we called on a Friday after hours hoping for a Saturday appointment the next day. We got a call back before 9 a.m. on Saturday and even though they had no openings, they made time for Misty at the end of their day rather than let her suffer over the long weekend or make it necessary to go to an (expensive!emergency clinic. They are always like this. I cant say enough good things about them. Dr. Mullings exudes gentleness and caring and specializes in canine rehabilitation, I understand. I already recommend them to all my pet-owner friends, and will continue to tell everyone I can.
Dr. Mullings is amazing! You could tell she has a true love for animals. She made my kitty feel very safe and I genuinely felt he had the best care. It was a little pricey compared to my previous vet, but I am willing to pay for top notch care.
We have had two problems with our cat. They have handled the problems without wasting any time. They explained what was causing the problems, gave an appropriate medication. More important the cat recovered! The second bill was $156 which is more than I would like but not unreasonable.
The vets here care about animals so much and are so kind and patient. I trust them fully with my dog and cat. They dont treat their practice as just a business but love what they do and show it in how they interact with my pets.
After Dr. Mullings complete non-compassion and failure to follow-up on a little dog entrusted to her care, he was so sick that PVSEC could not save him. He died prematurely due to her failure to properly follow him or exam him when he was very sick. She never ordered any bloodwork and ignored her own chart that showed problems in his bloodwork. When he was sick again, she also refused to see him even though she was his primary and only Veterinarian for over 3 years. She stated that she only would squeeze us in if we were making an end of life decision. I was in shock to have someone be so non-compassionate. I hope that no one else goes through the pain of losing a dearly loved member of their the family due to her.
They take great care of my dogs. They saved one of my dogs life after he ate Motrin.
Ive had several vet visits here and other than a small hiccup with an appointment not being scheduled properly, Ive had zero issues. I love that they use the Pet Desk app and Dr. Mullings herself sees her furry patients!
Vet is nice, however the place is overpriced and the staff is less than helpful.
CostThis is one of the most costly vets we have been to. We understood that the prices in our last state were likely lower than Pennsylvania, but after switching to our new vet we were able to confirm that we were paying $20+ more for each exam, and virtually all other procedures and shots were inflated compared to other vets in the area.We moved back to Pennsylvania two years ago and had been taking them here for annual exams and -- when the offices were open and they were willing to see our pets -- for emergencies. While we should have shopped around originally, this vet was initially conveniently located for us, and they had decent reviews on Google.Hours of OperationTheir office hours are limited, and are even more limited in regards to having the vet in that specific location. If you have an emergency, it can be difficult to get the receptionists to understand or even care about the situation. It’s inconveniently frustrating to find out where to actually take your pet if they are closed for the day.VetSuzanne is friendly, and she does seem to genuinely want to take time with you and your pet(s). I believe she has good intentions. Our dogs are not the best behaved when at the vet, but they really seemed to do well with her, so that is definitely a plus.Staff / ReceptionistsThe interactions with the general staff have been disappointing. Good hired help is hard to come by, but if the receptionists have no clue about veterinary practices it can lend itself to frustration quickly. There were a number of occasions when the vet was not in the office, so the visit was orchestrated by general staff members. One of our poor experiences with this was when we were following up on a set of (prepaidbooster shots. The staff on site proceeded to charge us again for the prepaid shots. When confronted about this (luckily with a saved paper receipt), they were rude and unapologetic. It’s 2019. Good record keeping and general administration isn’t rocket science.OverallAs mentioned above, I believe that Suzanne is a good vet. She does make you and your pet(sfeel welcome, but overall we have had less than enjoyable experiences at the Killarney and Bridgeville offices. We did have to visit the office in McDonald for an emergency and we had a relatively pleasant experience. That being said, this is unfortunately a nickel-and-dime shop. If cost and availability of the vet are of no worries, this practice might be a fit for you and your pet(s). However, based on our needs, and our experiences, I would recommend looking for a different practice.
The Killarney location is only open a few hours a week. The location is dirty and the employees barely communicate with you. The veterinarian was very nice and seemed to be knowledgeable. The prices are the highest you will find in Pittsburgh. Do yourself a favor and find another veterinarian.
This is the worst place ever I took my 9 week old English bulldog there and they knew nothing about them then I called and they said pls hold and then they hung up and said they were closed on Friday and wouldn’t answer again when I was there they tried selling me all kinds of stuff they just wanted money if I were u look who u take your pet to cause there not sumone I recommend by no means
Dr Mullings and her staff are very sweet, kind, caring and professional. They always follow up with you following your visit and are willing to do anything they can to help and support you with your pets needs. I highly recommend them.
Timely, friendly, affordable, great experience. My dog is high-energy and anxious and by the end of our visit it was the calmest I have yet to see him at the vet. Did a great job with him and were very patient and knowledgeable.
I took my cat Hamilton here for a pre-check on getting some preventative dental care. Dr. Mullings was very friendly, social, and gave an honest recommendation that the dental care was unnecessary. Her interest and passion for animals is obvious, too. Thank you!
Prices are terrible, its certainly more of a business than anything. My puppy has had round worms untreated for weeks. I assumed no news was good news after his fecal exam, however what happened was they just forgot to call to discuss his fecal exam was positive for worms. I was told to wait for the vet to call to discuss treatment options, hours later, still no call. Certainly will never return.
Clean office, extremely pleasant and kind staff. The doc made our first visit to the vet awesome! I had brought my two little ones with me, and the doc was thoughtful to take our puppy out of the room for shots just in case it would frighten my girls. Definitely recommend!
I have used them fur-ever! 1 dog and over the years 5 cats. AMAZING people, I feel like they treat my animals as if they are theirs. I have also had to put 2 animals to sleep and they were very compassionate
Friendly and knowledgeable. They care more about the animal than their pocket books. Always take the time to make sure that you understand everything that is going on. You can tell that they really do care about your pets
Awesome experience. Very nice staff and the vet we saw was great. Im so glad to find a place I like to care for my fur kids.
Super friendly. In and put with np wait
Highly recommend Dr. Mullings and her staff! I walked in with our sick cat and toddler as a new patient and they got us in within 30 minutes. Dr. Mullings saw Kira and assessed her illness without ordering unnecessary scans or procedures. She is very knowledgeable and recognized her symptoms right away. She was treated in the office and sent home with medication that is helping our little fur babe to heal. Very reasonable costs as well! I was expecting to walk out with a charge I would have to put on a credit card and was pleasantly surprised!! We will remain a patient of Dr. Mullings and bring our other pets here as well.
Wonderful vet and staff. Bring your loved pets, you will love it.
were fantastic with my cat and affordable
Convenient location, excellent service. The Vet and her staff are friendly, courteous and professional. I feel very confident in taking my pet to this clinic.
We were a walk in. Saw us quickly. Staff very friendly and efficient.
This veterinarian is really in it for the love of animals! Thank God I found her!!!
So grateful for them today! Took wonderful care of our Max. They made us feel so welcome!
The veterinarian here is extremely kind and compassionate and really goes above and beyond the call of duty. She is clearly well educated but also has the knack and understanding it takes to help our little friends.
Friendly staff and very knowledgeable doctor. They were very patient with all of our questions and so kind and didnt try to rush us, over charge us, or talk us into anything we did t need.
04/09/2017 I simply cannot say enough about the warm welcome we received as a new patient today! Thank you Dr. Mullings for your kind and compassionate understanding of our unique situation with our shar pei "Bogie". It certainly is a very good feeling to know you will be there for us as we face our future challenges with his health and disease process.Sheila Samaha
The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They were able to accommodate me for a drop in check up for my dog. The office is conveniently located for anyone in the South Hills.
