Entire staff is knowledgable, friendly, welcoming, considerate & compassionate. Although the reason for our visit was not the best, we are very glad we came here for help figuring out whats going on with our boy. If we need further assistance with our boy or other fur-kids in the future we wont hesitate to come back. Very thorough, quick & up front about everything Dr. Walls has been amazing!

I am a veterinarian myself. I brought my dog to Dr. Walls to help me manage her endocrine disorder. She was always available to discuss her case when there were any issues. When my dog got sick and needed to be rushed to the ER she was available immediately the next day to talk about my options and offered to squeeze her in. When my dog passed the following week, she helped me get the closure I needed. She has so much compassion and truly cares for her patients. She goes above and beyond for her clients and patients. I cannot recommend a greater vet for your internal medicine needs. I am eternally grateful.

Everyone here is so kind and compassionate. You feel like a friend not just another case. They were able to get us in quickly. The atmosphere is very soothing and feels homey not clinical. The nurse I met with had clearly reviewed my cats case history very thoroughly and gave me the opportunity to add anything else I felt they should know. After examination I met with Dr. Miller who outlined options and all the pros and cons. The whole experience was as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend them to anyone whose pet is facing cancer. This combination of expertise and compassion is hard to find.

I cannot express the level of gratitude I feel for Sevomed and for Dr. Abigail Walls.Do not under, any circumstances, doubt the care your furbaby will receive because the doctors and team members will always go the extra mile to help. They genuinely care. You can feel it.My doggie suffers from a chronic condition and Dr. Walls has gone above and beyond my expectations as a furbaby parent. She is very smart and down to earth and I will need days in my life to thank her for everything she does.My experience with this place is phenomenal.

I cannot praise Dr. LaDue and her staff enough. She told me Bailie could probably have another year if treated with radiation. He was healthy and happy for that whole year. He made it to one year and one month. I am so thankful for the extra year thanks to the wonderful care from SEVO. In the end, the cancer Dr. LaDue treated was not what took his life. I hope you never need them. But, if you do, you will be treated so well!!!

Im tired after driving back from Jax after bringing our cat for cancer treatment but wanted to quickly post that they have impressed me in every aspect: administrative and veterinarian. My son and I will be coming here for the next month and Ill add more, but were very hopeful, and Gigi is munching away and relaxing after the annoying long drive :)

My heart and soul, Benjamin who is only 4yrs old (a Chihuahua/ Pekingese mixwas recently diagnosed with IMHA💔He literally went from completely normal and active on Saturday to lethargic on Sunday. That afternoon I noticed he had a yellowness to his skin tone and immediately took him to the ER by Wells Rd. They did what they could do to keep him stable until he could get to a specialist Monday morning. They recommended SEVO, so I went home and did a bunch of research, asked my vet if they thought that SEVO was the best place to take him, they quickly agreed so I got him from the ER and brought him over. There we met with DR. Bertalan and I knew from the very beginning, this is where my baby needed to be. Dr. Bertalan is not only an amazing doctor, but person as well! She is very informative and explains to you all your options and risks. I know Ive probably asked her a million questions, I started irritating myself but she never got frustrated, she always answered my calls and made sure to call me with any updates and even after a hundred questions shed tell me if I thought of more not to hesitate to call. He spent the weekend in the ER and she came out not only sat but sun too so I didnt go a day without seeing my baby. BUT its her willing to fight for your loved one and her knowledge to be able to that truly makes her a hero.Benjamin had a hard fight for his life, multiple tests to exclude anything else it could possibly be, the results were IMHA, 4 blood transfusions, an IVIG, 8 days in the hospital, and so many ups and downs along the way, but thanks to Dr. Bertalan hes finally home and now on the right path to survive ❤️God hand picked her staff for her! On top of Dr. Bertalans amazingness, the staff from the front to the back are angels. There is no question of their sincerity, they genuinely care for your baby. From the tears that they share with you, the hugs they give and how willing they are to try and not only compfort you, but try and make it as comfortable as possible for your baby that has to stay there. Silly things like bring a t-shirt in that smells like you or a blanket from home or a favorite toy for them, they are all just so kind.Thank you so much Sarah for all your help thru this! Denise, David, Aspen, Kim, anyone else that helped with Benjamin and all the ladies up front, Thank you all from the bottom of my heartThank you to Dr Bertalan for helping Benjamin survive thru the hardest part of this battle and for the journey well be going on together to recovery!!And not only do I thank you all for Benjamin, but for all you do for these precious babies brought in. You all hold a very special place with God and in alot of peoples hearts for what you do❤️❤️❤️2022 update: Benjamin is still alive and doing well!! Still and will forever be thankful for my babies life being saved❤️❤️❤️

Very good, they were able to squeeze my Max in the very next day after being notified from my vet of his prognosis. Dr Haas explained the situation perfectly and what our options may be. After a plan of action was decided I was given a date to start treatment ,to be honest I was concerned about the time I had to wait to have it started. Dr Haas was off when the date was set, she received an daily email ,normal update, saw the length of time we had to wait , immediately notified the office and had the day moved up to the next day. Im sure there will be more positive comments in the future regarding this office. Very nice and concerned staff

Dr Ladue is very very kind hearted, professional, patient in taking time to explain everything (sometimes twice). It can be quite a shock to hear these things and the bills associated with options.... So after youre done crying shes willing to let you ask questions and explain everything again if needed.Having said that, I personally would never put my cat through radiation for injection induced fibrosarcoma, knowing everything weve learned so far. I would elect for surgery trying to get clean margins, and just chemotherapy at home. Every case is different of course so definitely go to the consult and hear out all of your options and make your best decisions.Great staff, out of this world. Tough atmosphere to be that friendly and helpful.Thank you.

They provided the best support during our difficult time losing my dog Rorschach. They provided my girls with a book about doggie heaven that helped my very young girls with our boys death. They provided a supportive environment for me to love and say goodbye to my best friend. They helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life. I am recommending them to my friend whose dog was just diagnosed with cancer.

We were here in 2013. It is a great place and a great service. Im leaving this now because our cat Kujo is coming up on his 8 year anniversary of being cancer free in July. He is still alive and doing very well at 18 years old. We thought in 13 we were going to have to put him down however there was a solution and his quality of life was not impacted. To this day we are grateful and amazed that we have had 8 years and counting with the cancer never having reappeared. Incredible work done at this location!

This place broke my heart. My dog came here three weeks ago to start chemo on a small tumor. He was perfectly fine and healthy (apart from the tumorbefore treatment. The NSAID medicine they prescribed to work alongside the chemo created an ulcer. His condition started to change a few days after starting the NSAID and I was told to continue to NSAID as long as he was eating, which he was at that point. I continued the meds for a few more days and his trembling worsened and he stopped eating, which I then stopped giving him the NSAID pill. His regular vet diagnosed that the NSAID gave him a GI ulcer. He was given an oral medicine to help bandage the ulcer. But he still wouldnt eat or drink for a few more days. I brought him back to SE-VO for help. They ran an ultrasound to check on the ulcer, which they confirmed existed, and on the tumor, which was stable. They gave him a fluids patch and prescribed some extra oral drugs to help fight the ulcer, but they wouldnt be ready for pickup until the following day. The oncologist told me her staff would call every day to check on him, which gave me some relief. In the middle of that night he started vocalizing as if he was in a tremendous amount of pain. This part breaks my heart ... The next morning I called SE-VO for help. Nobody answered and I had to leave a message explaining what was happening, all the while my pup was in the background vocalizing in pain. So I called his regular vet and she hospitalized him to be more aggressive with treating the ulcer, which would get him back to eating and drinking. I needed to get the prescriptions from SE-VO and bring back to the vet so they could administer them overnight. When I returned to the vet with the meds they told me my dog was in renal failure and he needed to be put down asap. That was the worst shock and it broke my heart that this wasnt caught much earlier. The NSAID killed him and that could easily have been prevented. The oncologist told me the entire reason for the chemo and NSAID was to increase quality of life for my pup and they did the exact opposite. The most heartbreaking part of all of this ... the oncology staff called three days after my dog died to check to see how he was doing.

My cat presented them with a challenge: halt her cancer in its tracks and save her life. SEVO came prepared for battle and after four months declared victory. But my ferocious feline decided the battle may have been lost, but the war was not yet over. She counterattacked with more cancer. The score is currently 2-1 to my cat but SEVO is valiantly trying to seize the day!

If u have a question, they will get the information and call u as soon as possible. You never want to have to bring your pet here, but if you ever need to, theyll get great care and attention from the staff and vets.It is pricey, but think about the kind of tests and evaluations theyre doing here. It makes sense. We had to put our pet down when we reached the point that we could no longer offer him good quality life with further treatments, and the staff here was absolutely amazing for us. Cannot say enough great things about Dr. Ladue and the staff. They were fantastic. We had a corgi with a cancerous tumor that had been removed and went in for a second consultation. We were given all of the options and ultimately decided for a second operation to excise the surrounding tissue and make sure there was no more cancer. I was blown away by the fact that there were no tables for the pets to sit on. Instead the staff came in and sat down on the floor with our dog. Wow. The facility was very well-kept, clean and friendly. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is seeking information for their pets and cancer.

We had to put our dog down this morning and I wanted to just thank Dr. Abigail Bertalan and her team for making Cooper’s end of life care a good experience. We went to SEVO for a 4th look into Cooper’s case and even though the end result was terrible, we at least got a chance to talk through it one more time with Dr. Abigail Bertalan. The compassion her team showed just through the final hour of his life made it easier. We left knowing we did all we could and did everything right. We didn’t get the compassion from the other vets and truly couldn’t get the full story until we went here. You can tell they are doing this for all the right reasons and there is something to be said about that.Thank you again Dr. Abigail Bertalan and please thank your team as well for us.Brett and Jessica Jackrel

Sabel has been going to Pet Oncology after Blue Pearl in Tampa. Dr. LaDue and Dr. Miller and Nicole since November 2017 . Showed us the best care of any Vet. We have Show horse and two Cockers Spaniels. Sable was kept healthy and quality of life until the last 5 days. I lost my best friend October 8, 2018. But gained new human friends who care about your pet as much as you do. If you dont think winning every time is important, try beating Cancer. Everyone gave 100%. I brought my heart dog Abby to these angels after being dosed with lymphoma on 7-25-17. Aspen and Dr. Neumann sat on the floor with my lab/Golden baby. We came up with a plan and began 6 months of chemoEach time we would come Abby was treated like family Dr Ladue took over Abby’s treatment about half way in due to dr. Neumann switching to the beach office With their knowledge, compassion and skill we were able to keep Abby in remission until this past mayUnfortunately I had to say goodbye to my best girl last night. I got a phone call from Aspen this morning and could hear the heartbreak in her voice. Shortly after (or maybe before it’s been a rough 24 hoursI had the kindest message from Dr Ladue, and the sadness in her voice brought even more tearsThe love that everyone showed us throughout this journey is unbelievable. They loved my girl like she was their own. Thank you for the 11 months, I wish it was more but I know you exhausted every option out there

She took the time to make sure that we understood our dogs present condition, (drawing pictures as she did soand discussed all treatment options including the effectiveness of each, possible side effects, complications, and cost estimates. We were even giving copies of her drawings and notes. She made us feel at ease in spite the situation. I dont know Dr. LaDue personally, but I do know she is a good person.

I took my cat to the Beach and San Pablo location because we live in Atlantic Beach. This place is amazing. The staff and doctor are so nice and compassionate. My cat is doing much better and hes been there less than 24 hours and he is eating on his own and his lab values have improved to almost normal. My cat turned out to not have cancer, as my regular vet thought. Apply for CareCredit with any vet that takes it. You get 0% for at least 6 months, and sometimes for 18 months. And CareCredit is really good about giving you a credit limit increase if you request it, and if youve kept the account in good standing. Not cheap, but superior service and care.

I took my dog here for Lymphoma treatment back in 2012. The whole staff was great. They were very very compassionate and the doctors gave me options on whats best for my dog. They had several payment options, but I never ever felt like they cared more about money than my dog. Quite the opposite, she would even tell me a certain method wouldnt be worth the money because it wont work, and she would tell me its okay to start treatment instead of paying for testing if I didnt have the funds for it. I visited them regularly for the next 20 months until I had to unfortunately put my Yorkie to sleep because he came out of remission and his cancer got worse. I was touched that day I had to say goodbye to him, the doctors and nurses cried. It wasnt anything like "Oh sorry lets just put him to sleep" and not care. They were super professional and were up front and honest. A few days later, I received a book from them about dogs going to the rainbow bridge in the mail and they all signed and left messages. It was very touching. I hope I dont ever encounter a dog having cancer again, but if I do, Ill always recommend this place especially if the same doctors are there.

We were referred to them by our vet after our fur baby Lola was diagnosed with Lymphoma. From the beginning Dr Newman and the staff were very caring and concerned. Dr LaDue was also very caring when we couldnt see Dr Newman she was there always with positive thoughts and understanding. They tried everything possible to help her but in the end the cancer won. The most impressive thing was the love and caring from them did not stop there the company they use for cremation was outstanding in their handling of our baby. When we picked her up they were very sorry for our lose even stating if we needed anything to call. The last thing that made my heart swell was about a week after we received a call that they had something for us, it was a package that had me in tears. In this package was a book about grieving and the rainbow bridge and throughout the pages the Drs and nurses had all wrote little notes about how sorry they were for our loss and how wonderful Lola was to them. I have never come across people as kind, caring, and understanding. I would go to them again and I am constantly telling people about them. They gave us 6 months with our fur baby we didnt have and we will always be grateful to both Dr Newman, Dr LaDue, and the nurses and staff they are phenomenal and truly care for the animals they treat.

One year later I am still grieving the loss of my dog. I questioned the toxicity of the medication in the morning and was told it was the best medication to treat him. I received a call to pick him up and an hour later received another call asking where I was that he died in his cage. NO cameras and NO witnesses as to what happened to him in his cage when it was right next to the work area of the technicians. They paid for his cremation. I was charged for the chemo (few hundred dollars). I will never do this again. Many regrets remain with this horrible experience.

Our experience unfortunately was not good. The facility is beautiful & there is a attention to detail where that is concerned but for us our boxer was pretty much forgotten. We paid a great deal of money to "stage" his cancer. We requested a follow up phone call to discuss the results & outcome ...still waiting on requested call. We went to see another animal ecologist on the Southside & despite all efforts to have our dogs medical records available to them they temporarily "lost" the most crucial part of the puzzle. I learned hours after the visit they finally sent them. There is no real way of knowing if their lack of communication has compromised an opportunity for a more pro active plan or not. It is hard to say especially when they will not respond. Very discouraging. I would recommend you start on the Southside before you spend money or time in Orange Park.
