Traveling through, this camp ground is absolutely beautiful. The camp host were genuinely kind & very helpful . The swimming is nice, the playground has a lovely background & everything is well kept. Highly recommend this place. We had our four dogs, our toddler & 1 other friend with us. We will visit again. Thank you.
Love this place. Staff was so friendly and its decently priced!!
beautiful views of the valley
Great view and a fun camping experience
Excellent fishing! Great playground, fun beach! You need to go! Just go!
Would not recommend RV portion of campground. The pokey plants are horrible and popped all of our bike tires in party of 5. We were not warned they would damage our equipment and are WI residents. The hiking trails, swimming hole are very nice and nature portion is fantastic but do not recommend RV campground.
Very nice spot nestled in below some picture perfect mountains. Water is available, real bathrooms, trash cans everywhere, and fire pits (no fires are allowed currently, however). Cellular connectivity is much better further up the hill, and AT&T is better there than Verizon.
It’s been OK not horrible but not great eitherFlies I can handle wasps I cannotSeriously it needs to have some wasp traps or bug spray on siteI can’t even light a fricken fire to keep the bugs away🙄On a positive note the reservoir was nice🏊♂️🏊♂️
Great place to rest, very secure and quiet.
Great hiking and biking trails right alongside the campground. Check season dates before coming, they are closed late fall through late spring.
A small campground. Sites are close and a bit snug but really beautiful in the fall. Clean campground.
I really liked this place. The camp hostess here was very kind and honestly did a lot to keep the place clean and looked-after.
This campground is great. Its clean, and most of the sites are a decent distance away from each other with trees in between them. Lots of reviews mention a terrible camp host; however, that one must be gone, because the current host (Loganis awesome. Very friendly and helpful. The only thing I see as being a potential negative for some campers is that it seems quiet hours are not really enforced. There was a big group there during my stay that was quite noisy until about midnight. If thats something that would bother you, well heres your warning. If not, I highly recommend this site.
I have not camped here yet but I have been hiking in the area and have used the reservoir many times. The current camp host is amazing. Instead of trying to fine me for remaining in the lot after dark, he checked on understanding that I got stuck on the trail and let me out of the gate. Be careful on the hidden oaks trail. It is way harder and more dangerous than you think. This is especially so at dusk. I turned back barely in time to see without a flashlight. It was also hard on my dogs. It is beautiful and a good adventure. Video on the trail on video recon YouTube channel.
Small, quaint and quiet campground unknown to most locals. We were able to walk-in at 8pm on a Friday night in July and get a campsite without a reservation. The reservoir was a great place to cool off in the middle of the hot day.
Dont go here if youre not a proficient swimmer. The camp host snarls at anyone who touches the life buoys.
The reservoir is a awesome place place to send a day and the area is really cool. The problem is the grounds keepers are jurks. My fathers and service dog were kicked out. Last year and every time I’ve ever had any kind of question they act like we are disturbing their dinner. Honestly Spanish Fork need to find a better host for this place
Un parque muy limpio con muy buena seguridad.El pequeño lago está en óptimas condiciones.Me gusta que lo cierran al anochecer, eso mejora la seguridad en el área.
Love this place! Fishing isnt that great, but you cant beat swimming here! Nice clean restrooms.
Big shout out for Spanish Oaks campground, Spanish Fort, UT. The upper loop sites are prefect for tent and class-b campers. The $10 no-hookup sites offer surrounding trees with views of Utah Lake, Provo UT city lights and snow capped mountains. Campers can use the crystal clean bathrooms and the sand beached lake. Hosts were sooo friendly.Dont sleep too late since Hruskas Kolaches closes once they sellout. Drive to Provo, YOU MUST TRY THESE.
Every camp site had a fire pit, picnic table, and grill. Bathroom was so clean and smelled really good. We had a great camping trip here.
The group site is so incredibly nice
I always enjoy coming to the campground. Pretty view of the city below, especially at night. Lots of activities for families. (Jungle gym park and reservoir for swimming)I was surprised to see so many bad reviews towards the camp host. I thought she was quite pleasant and accomidating. During our recent stay (about 3 weeks agothe pavilion was vandalized with graffiti late at night. I imagine The camp host was given new regulations for preserving the campgrounds beauty and she is just trying to do the best she can.
I was enjoying a nice evening with my partner cuddling under the moonlight. just when I was about recieve a tender kiss from my lover the hostess approached us and told us there are “family’s around.”....I told told her “we were trying to make one...tonight!”.....and we did.
Nice campground but the camp host we had this week is a maniac. Constantly driving her cart up to check on what’s going on back and forth all day. Our kids were being loud and when we realized it we quickly shut down their activity. Instead of asking us to quiet our kids or see what was going on she went straight to the cops for a bunch of kids telling scary stories in the dark. To add to all of this mayhem there is only 1 other family camping here and they are BURNING a fire in a no fire camp ground and she hasn’t even checked on them or asked them to stop. The stress of her breathing down our backs the whole week was the worst!
The scenery is beautiful but the camp host is horrible. She harassed us the whole time we were there. If you have kids this place is not for you. She had a cart she drives around and just constantly yelled from her cart at us or our kids. It was super annoying. She needs a new job out in the middle of nowhere with no one around because she does not have any kind of people skills. She doesn’t know how to interact or conversate with humans. We will never go there again as long as she is the host.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! The camp host made it her personal mission to ruin our time up there. Called the police TWICE. Even called out a Parks and Rec employee to come and invade our campsite to look for any reason to give us a hard time. We had 25 kids ( ages 2-14 with us. So admittedly there was a little noise at night. But with us being the ONLY group up there, I thought calling the cops was a little extreme. So, unless you want to be constantly harassed by a short tempered camp host, go somewhere else. And I only gave 1 star because Google won’t let me submit this without putting at least one. This sight is really not even worth 1 star in my book. You have been warned. Oh AND they lock you in at night. So make sure you have a strong truck to bust through the gate if there’s an emergency. Ok. Rant over. This place sucks.
