I went in to get a refund for some credit on my specsavers easycare account because my account got cancelled after they had taken two months of money. The way in which the refund was issued was a huge palava (central specsavers being a bit difficult!But the people in the Whitechapel branch were so helpful getting my money back. Alfie was the main person who dealt with it and he was really friendly and helpful even though it seemed like a big pain. He also explained why it was difficult and taking some time. It took a few days and he called to update me on the progress. Would deffo come back!

It is unfortunate that I have to rate my experience low as everyone there was super friendly (especially the lady who did my contact lenses eye test- all except for one lady who was in charge of explaining to me how the easycare contact lens package works. I am diagnosed and struggle with a phonological learning disorder and so it takes me a while to understand things when spoken to verbally, and she was extremely patronising and rude when I was confused/asking for clarification. I work in the NHS myself and I am always patient when my patients don’t understand my explanations so it was saddening to not have the same experience for myself. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this branch for further appointments after I collect my contact lenses here. I hope she learns that there are people with hidden disabilities and even if not, it is important to provide a good customer service at all times especially when we are not being rude customers. Thank you to the rest of the team today!

We’re waiting for 25mins for the eye test and the staff said I didn’t attend my appointment on time. Therefore I leave.

First of all , Whitechapel Specsavers branch is very convenient for me near my work place.The staff were vey friendly and very accommodating. During my appointment, staff Neelum & Aneesa were vey helpful, professional, very polite and very patient with me. I was well informed and consented every steps of the test I had. I was given a very clear instruction and guided through out the procedure. Hygiene was thorough and sanitised every apparatus before and after the test. They were both very reassuring and made me feel comfortable. The consultation went well. Aneesa was brilliant on how she explained the outcome of my tests. Neelum was excellent in helping me with my glasses. She didn’t take advantage of the expensive glasses but she recommended the suitable one for my face. She was doing her job properly not how they profit but to satisfy the customer. I will definitely recommend specsavers WH branch to my friends & family. Excellent customer service.

I called to ask my glasses as there was mix up - the lady on the phone was rude and was sarcastic and was not needed. When I asked her name she hang up on mePlease know I will not come back and called Bethan green instead who actually listen to me and answered my questionsIf you don’t like answering customer’s questions and don’t like helping them please get a new jobThis was disgusting how the lady was speaking I will no longer use this place for glasses I will rather travel bit more than be spoken down toHorrible

Horrible experience!A few months ago, I went to get a new prescription for my glasses.The optician that did the test suggested that I go for something milder, since they thought that my previous prescription was overcorrecting my right eye.Good idea on paper, but when I actually got my new glasses, my eyes didnt like them.OK, I thought, mistakes like that can happen and I went back to the shop to see what can be done about it.I explained the situation to a person that was working there. She took my new glasses in order to check that the prescription was right and let me know that she is going to consult with her manager.When she came back, she informed that since I didnt get the glasses from them, I need to talk to the company I got my glasses from and they wouldnt be able to offer a retest.At an age where one can get a pretty accurate prescription using only a personal computer and their mobile phone, certified opticians apparently are not able to check if glasses have the correct prescription and need to put the blame on the glasses supplier.Thankfully, the glass supplier is offering to give me a full refund for the two pairs of glasses (prescription and prescription sunglasseseven though they re not at fault here.I am however stuck with a wrong prescription that I had to pay for...I would avoid this cash grabbing establishment, as their main goal is obviously to sell their overpriced high street frames and lenses.I might as well ask a random person on the street for my prescription. Worst case it will be wrong. At least I wont have to pay for that...

First It was very easy to book my appointment which was the next day. Secondly I was impressed by the customer services. My registration and OCT scan was done by Nicola. She was very professional, helpful, friendly and patient. She also helped me to choose the best frame and lenses for me and Im extremely happy with the choice. My eye test was done by Haliteth- he gave me excellent explanation regarding my eyes and he was very professional and friendly as well. Last but not least I would like to add that the frame quality is outstanding and the price is affordable.

My glasses were repaired within minutes and without me having to pay anything. The staff was very friendly and took very good care of me. Thanks again.

I chose this store because I was looking for somewhere that would do the OCT scan for my eyes. I have glaucoma in my family and I had read that this helps to spot problems in the eye years before it develops. The lady that saw me was so friendly and answered all my questions and the staff were all very welcoming.I also really appreciated all the help choosing frames because I never know what looks good on me. The lady, Seema I think, was very knowledgeable about frames and lenses and I felt really looked after.Would definitely recommend.

SUMMARYdisorganised and inconsiderate.REVIEW3 weeks of waiting, 1 visit after two weeks (i was told to come on the day that i first went as my glasses would be ready, was made wait for an hour to be told they dont have my glasses. How come it took 5 minutes for the person who collected before me? I then went in again today. I had to wait for 40 minutes to be told they dont have them. They still dont know when they will have my glasses. My impression is that the workers are incredibly disorganised . I know that it does not take an hour to check an automated system for whether an order has come in. Youd find it more convenient to just use a telescope for reading. Not worth the hassle at all.

My Varifocal glasses took over 2 month going back and forth . The craftsmanship is very very poor, the fittings had a WHITE halo around it which is very uncomfortable to wear (see pic).I went back and every time I was told thats the best they can do, eventually I spoke to Emma the store manager and she agreed that these were very badly made, they were sent back, got them after 3 weeks. They were little bit better but still had white glow around it.The quality and finishing is terrible, not happy with the glasses, paid over £200 for a badly made glasses, dont have the time or patience to go back and forth.Extremely disappointed, plus no compensation was offered :(

Great staff only issue was finding nice glasses for my son. All the frames they have are too big or too small for small kids.

Went to Specsavers in Whitechapel, London and the Customer service was TERRIBLE!Needed reading glasses/far sight.. but did not get what I needed. The manager was very rude, wasn’t prepared to listen to what I had to say! Kept cutting me off. Now I am stuck with a pair of glasses which is of no use to me

The staff are organised and friendly. They help you as much as they can. Appointment has to be made before going in and it works well. I got my lenses, frame and eye test all done here. I am a happy customer.

Absolutely brilliant experience for a new specs wearer. They were really helpful. My new prescription is bang on and the glasses selection was really good. Had a hard time picking because there was so many good ones to choose from. Ended up using the 2 for 1 option and I’m really pleased with my choice. The staff are really helpful and go out of their way to help you. Big shout out to Farhan who answered all of my questions patiently and didn’t make me feel like I was bugging him.

HORRIBLE and humiliating experience. I made my tests and my glasses here last year and I was very happy so I decided to start buying my contact lenses here.But today my experience was so humiliating and sad that I decided that I wont come back to Specsavers anymore.I went to collect my contact lenses (they take one week to arrive to the store). The lady threw me the boxes on the table, without asking me if I needed a bag. No liquid included, anything, just the contact lenses boxes. I realized that on of the boxes was faulty (squashed). She told me it was fine because the lenses inside were not damaged. Other lady said she couldnt make a refund of this faulty box, without understanding that it was them who tried to sell me this box. I spent a lot time, going to the store three times, waiting 15 minutes outside. I asked for a discount for the next purchase, the lady said no.Okey, at that point I felt so sad and disappointed that I decided to ask for a refund and leave the store without my contact lenses.Later during the day I checked my bank account and I had the surprise to find that they charged me again instead of making me the refund...I need to use contact lenses everyday, I usually buy them in my country but i couldnt buy them because of the situation.I said in several occasions that it was not the proper or a nice way to treat a person. I had my refund and I left the store.I am a person. I dont deserve this. Today you lost a customer.

Staffs are very friendly. I am really happy to have the services from Optometrist Shahila Sheikh, Darren and Ayesha. Shahila always goes above and beyond to help me with the on going issues I’ve been having with my vari-focal glasses. I was sad to hear she has moved to a different optician. I have been using Specsavers for many years.

Brilliant service received, especially by Darren on 28/3/21. What a lovey guy, who made my children feel at ease and special. My son needed eye drops, which was done twice as it did not work the first time round. As we were there for a while, Darren and his colleague were so lovely and kept both my children entertained. Darren is a star!!!Went back to pick up my childrens glasses today 11/4/21, Darren instantly remembered us and as usual gave us a fabulous service.Keep up the great work Darren, we need more people like you who go out of their way to help others!

I went to Specsavers the week before last for eye test and to purchase new glasses. I waited outside then a lovely lady greeted me, she took my temperature asked me to cleanse my hands at the cleaning station they have there. Everything was sanatised. Staff so efficient especially Aysha and Sahela 4stars

Feedback regarding service:Dated: 12th February, 2021 - Appointment was for - Ayat (Child)Feedback for Ayesha Baddat and other team members of Whitechapel, London - Store.A lady welcomed us in the store, checked temparature and processed all the formalities. This was our first visit in Specsaver. Ayesha Baddat tested my daughter Ayats eyes. She (Ayeshais super friendly, very knowledgeable and polite. My little daughter became her friend and fan. In between her job, They had conversation regarding U.K. History what Ayat is learning from the school. All the staffs are super friendly. The last person served us " Souvia" to select the eye glasses. Overall - I would say all the staffs are super star.

I figured let’s give Specsavers a go after using private years ago. I was not disappointed in the least. See, I didn’t take care of my eyes by not changing my lenses whenever my test showed I needed it and was wearing glasses that were making it worse for my eyes and head.Aura, the eye technician was exactly what I needed. She was the one who put me straight and made me come to my senses; eyes are very delicate and they need to be taken care of.I really wanted contact lenses but she advised against it because I have terrible astigmatism.She did her best to help me with getting better vision. I am amazed how well I can see with my new glasses. Now I can see everything in such great detail.There were at least three people who helped me take my time to pick the frames I wanted and dealt with me on collection. I only remember Wardan but can’t remember others by name. Their customer service is absolutely incredible. They all took their time to help me and didn’t make me feel I should hurry. Superb customer service isn’t easy to come by but my multiple visits there was never disappointing. I was always satisfied.Within three months I already scratched it. A lady helped with the cost of replacement lenses; she gave a nice discount. She must’ve been the big boss. She noted the discount down on the system that way when I saw someone else, I’d get it without having to ask for a discount again.Specsavers Whitechapel, you are spectacular in my eyes. Pun intended!

Incredible service, and I can compare! I have been to two other Specsavers branches in London over the years and this one in Whitechapel beats them by far. Everyone who was there was very friendly and professional. I felt that the person doing the eye test really took their time and wanted to get it right. She gave me valuable tips about eye health and managed my anxiety induced by fear of eye-sight loss well.Then when it came to choosing a frame, that seller did not want to oversell just for their commission. When I was choosing to keep my existing frame, she just said "That makes it easier" and when I was picking the lenses, where I picked the most expensive option, she explained that the less pricey lenses are almost the same. I still picked the expensive ones in the end but I really appreciated that she didnt want to oversell just for a commission boost.

The best Specsavers team by far! My son and I went a couple of weeks ago for eye tests and glasses. They were friendly, honest, helpful and professional and made our appointment during lock down a joy.

The best Specsavers Ive been to!The service is excellent, it is clear to see how well this branch has adapted to the pandemic. I was served by Sahela and Aysha who were both extremely helpful and went the extra mile to ensure I had the best experience possible. This will now be my regular branch!

Wonderful ServiceI struggled with sore and itchy eyes for the past few months and I was advised to have an eye examination.I was seen by Mr Leviyan who performed the most thorough eye examination Ive ever had ( I didnt know eyes tests could get this thorough!)I was diagnosed with dry eyes and was prescribed two products that have become part of my routine and have made a big difference.I was extremely impressed by Mr Leviyan ‘s calmness and how he explained everything, it made me feel at ease and was able to ask questions, to which he responded with great details.

Eye test took over 1.5 hours. Optician was very competent and helpful, though.Told staff that I really needed new glasses asap. Two employees were processing my order. However, they ordered the wrong glasses. Very annoying and unnecessary back and forth. Not very reliable.

Good eye test but was overcharged £69. Purchase two for one offer on glasses was told to get anti glare coating. If i brought this i would pay just for one coating and get it on both frames. So i agree. And ended up paying for two frames instead of one and getting the £30 for the coating off on the second frame which i didnt need as it just for reading. Very bad service from a manager who serve me. I realized this after i left the shop and address this with them when I went back to collect the frames after i had paid in full. It tock 45 minutes to get a £39 refund i didnt understand how they work it out. But i was left confused and cheated.To reply to specsavers; i went back and did complain. I purchase the glasses on the 13/11/19 was the last customer and was serve by the a manager. Who would have lock up after me. I dont need to fill out any other services compliant forms.
