I was scheduled for an installation today the dispatcher forgot to schedule my service and the owner had a terrible attitude/response and no sense of empathy for messing up my appointment.
Speedy provided a fall checkup for my two units heating systems. They showed up within the stated timeframe and provided prompt professional service. Ill continue to use Speedy.
The technicians came out, diagnosed the issue with my AC unit, were able to resolve the problem quickly and even provided me with advice on preventative maintenance I could perform to help mitigate future recurrence of the issue.
I tried 2 other companies before coming to my senses and realizing this company should have been the first and only to come to my house. They came out when they said they would, repaired my AC unit and got me up and working in no time. The guys that worked on my unit were very knowledgeable and very trustworthy I would recommend this business over any other any day!
Representatives were on time & professional in introductions, really time efficient, & was able to do what was needed & explained what was done! Great experience!
My A/C condenser went out and I was having trouble getting the new condenser delivered. I spoke to Speedy about this and they went above and beyond to help me out. They chased down the condenser for me and came out late on a Friday to install it same day so I would have A/C for the weekend. They did this because they knew I had company coming in town. It’s rare these days that a company listens to the customer and bends over backwards to help them. Speed Electric & A/C is one of those companies. Professional, Knowledgeable, Courteous, Prompt.. I could go on and on. I would HIGHLY recommend this wonderful company to anyone I know. Thanks again guys you really saved me!!
The best HVAC and Electrical company south of Dallas! We lost power when a tree fell and pulled it out of our house! Because of Brian and the efforts of his team we had power installed - inspected by the City of Cedar Hill and Oncor back to turn it on in 16 hours - in July! We don’t use anyone else! They are the BEST! The were a no brainer when we need to replace our HVAC units- we didn’t call anyone else! If we need anything electrical we call Speedy!!!
It took them almost 2 months to get a new compressor at the height of a very hot summer, and several calls to get them to push the vendor but they finally came through. They always treated me with professionalism.
I use though my home warranty. They came out within two days. And fixed my unit, didn’t take long for them to do the work , will use speedy electric AC again when needed.
Fixed/re-wired my stove top and oven after a short circuited situation occurred. Did wonderful job and SO quickly! Very impressed! I have used them on lots of problems, from compressor fixes to entire a/c replacement and they ALWAYS do a GREAT job!!!

The guys came on time, explained things nicely. Even when came to the maintenance he explained good. It came to adding the freon and the payment towards it. Start of concern - I asked the cost and was told that dont worry you would need to pay $xxx amount. I then asked how much does the warranty covers and he was checking with his backoffice team. These are the exact words he mentioned on the call infront of me - "Make sure that we charge him $xxx per lbs". I did tell him that instead of checking the price he was stating the price.Not good. I wouldnt go back to them.
Have had to use these guys a couple times this summer on two units. Always on time and let us know when they’re en route. Every time they explained what they checked, what they found. No attempts to up sell!! Always just fixed the problem. Very professional crew, polite and friendly. Grateful for people with these skills!!!

The technician is really professional and experienced. We had a few light fixtures that needed installed and hired speedy ac. The technician arrived the next day which all required tool and finish the job in an hour. Highly recommended.

Speedy Electric & A/C were very reasonable when with a payment error on our part and understanding. They allowed us to reroute a payment due to an out of state banking error. In all we would highly recommend this company for its service and professionalism. Great company overall.
Gary arrived on time and went right to work. He replaced an outdoor security light, he replaced all of the 28 year old smoke detectors in my house with new ones. He also removed an old ceiling fan and replaced it with a new one. He was very friendly and did an outstanding job. I will be using Speedy Electric & A/C again and recommend them to friends and family.
Prompt technicians and friendly and know what they are doing unlike other AC companies that constantly try to upsale you. They tell you the true issue and offer affordable options. I highly recommend Speedy.
I want to start by saying that I am not one to post bad reviews, especially when they are not positive in nature. I try to find the silver lining in all situations, and take into account both sides. For this reason, I spent a little time weighing on whether I should share our negative experience with Speedy Electric or not, but came to the conclusion that it was the right thing to do. Bear with me, this will be a lengthy review/post!To start, heres a quick recap of our situation back at the end of June. On Saturday, June 25th our AC went out unexpectedly here in Lewisville, Tx where the outside temperatures where just starting to reach triple digits. We knew we needed to get the AC fixed, so we reached out to our home warranty (Landmarkto put in a service order for a technician to come out. The next day (June 26th), Speedy Electric called back to set up an appointment to have someone come out to look at our system. Unfortunately the lady informed me that the soonest that they could have someone come out would be Friday, 6 days later!! I tried to explain to her that our AC was completely out, and that the inside temperatures were already getting into the low 90s after only a day. She again informed me that this was the earliest that they could do. As we hung up after setting the appointment, I thought to myself, "for being a company called SPEEDY they are definitely not living up to that name!"Knowing that we would have to ordeal the high temperatures that were slowly coming into the Texas weather pattern, I put in a window unit in our bedroom for the week. As we waited, I continued to call to see if there might be any way to have someone come out earlier, but was continually told that the earliest someone would be out was Friday.Once Friday arrived, I didnt get a text from the technician till 3:45 saying that he was heading our way from Grand Prairie. His ETA was set for 4:39pm due to traffic!! I guess since we were going through Landmark, we were not a "top priority". The technician finally arrived at 4:35, and quickly got to work assessing the situation at hand. It turned out that it appeared to be a leak in a coil, but hed need to do an additional leak test to be sure that was truly the issue. This test was not covered by Landmark service charge, so wed need to pay an additional amount which I agreed to.By doing the test, the technician was able to determine that it was a cracked coil in the outside unit, which was non repairable. This meant that they would need to take photos and file a claim with Landmark to get the system replaced. By the time he had taken all the photos and was all finished up, the time was well past 5:00pm. When I mentioned to him about paying for the leak test, he said that he couldnt take the payment. He then realized that Monday was July 4th, so they wouldnt be open again till Tuesday and "someone will contact you then regarding payment." Over a week now WITHOUT AC and no relief in sight! I ended up buying another window unit to help cool the inside.When Tuesday rolled around, the lady called me from Speedy to get my payment. Unfortunately I didnt have a credit card handy, so she said "No problem. Just call us back whenever you have your credit card. We are currently working on the report to submit to your home warranty now." A day later, we reach out to Landmark to see if they got the report, and they hadnt. Then Speedy emailed saying that we needed to pay our invoice before they would send the report to Landmark. AGAIN, we were going on 11 days without AC, and they werent being "Speedy" with helping us. Why did the lady on Tuesday not tell me that they needed the payment before submitting??? Once we paid quickly upon realizing this, they sent the report to Landmark and we found out that Landmark wouldnt cover the new unit (after 17 days of no AC).THAT is a whole other story for ANOTHER review, but due to all the run around, we ended up going with another HVAC company. They fixed the AC in 4 days!
Technician would barely talk to me about my issues. It was evident he was upset about something (maybe my raceas he was a white male. When I called Speedy Electric to complain and ask for another technician to be sent, they sent the same one. I cancelled my work order. Will never use again.
The technician was on time and professional. He was quickly able to pinpoint and fix the problem. After leaving, my home was cooler than it has ever been.
Speedy Electric & A/C was dispatched by our home warranty company to come repair our AC units. The technician, 15 Jordan was very helpful and did a great job. I was unable to thank him in person, but he showed great resilience in repairing our AC units, since he had been working all day in the heat and it was already getting late.
They did a great job with our seasonal AC tune up through Landmark Home Warranty. Responsive and professional.
Showed up, diagnosed the issue quickly and serviced the issue just as quick. They were also kind enough to clean the vent a bit with our house - which was extra on their part. Overall very pleased at the timeliness and customer service. Would definitely use again!

Speedy Electric did what he said he would do, and showed up on time and actually did the work when he said he would! We were amazed at the response and assistance for our lighting on our monument display. Very professional and we wish he lived closer to our shop for future orders!
Ive had repairs completed on my A/C units with this company through a home warranty. The service was completed without any problems and so far my units are up and running. My only complaint is that through the home warranty it took too long for them to get to my repairs. The first time I had to wait for a week in 100-degree weather with both units out. Then it took another two weeks for them to come back for the other unit.
They dont stand by their work.We had Speedy Electric out for help with an AC problem under our home warranty. We were told the problem was a blocked condenser coil which wasnt covered under the home warranty, so we had to pay them $209 for work (including freon which was partially covered). This work didnt fix our problem. Our upstairs is still not cooling below 77 degrees no matter what the setting.Called them back and was told they wont come back out without charging another service fee. Should not have to pay another service fee for work they didnt do right the first time!
After 2 weeks of waiting for a repair, the company cancelled their appointment on the day they were to show up. No apology, no customer service …. Just cancelled it, no emergency rescheduling, gave me several more days to wait in 90 degree heat inside
Very fast and responsive but misdiagnosed my issue claimed it was electrical paid for their electrician (same company/speedy)who said my problem was with the ac (original issue). They did send back an ac person free of a service fee who admitted the original person screwed up and didn’t do the appropriate tests and that I never needed an electrician. Still out the costs of their electrician charges based in their incompetence. I understand a mistake but why do I have to pay for their mistake.Update: Service Warranty did reimburse me the fee and agreed that based on their misdiagnosis and incomplete check, their AC guy forgot to turn the breaker back on, then there would have not been a need to have an electrician come out (who ended up confirming that there was not an electrical issue but an AC issue).
I called them to come out and do maintenance on my ac unit. Well they didnt do that instead they opened it up outside they said there was a leak came inside and opened it up charged me $54 something dollars. And I was a Level 4 customer. I was then quoted for a new ac unit through them over $8,000 and $2,000 for a coil replacement. After that the guy just left AC not fixed they could have just charged it in the meantime no. So I called took pictures wrote emails no response. I am a 100% disabled Veteran and I no money to be throwing around like that. Very disappointed with this company.
This is the 2nd time we have had to use this company. Outside unit and unit in the house and we have not been disappointed that’s why we came back. They got us an appointment soon and replaced our unit next day just in time for the heat. Even tho we didn’t have to use their financing it was great to know they offered it. Customer service was amazing from the phone agents to both sets of people that came back. We will definitely use them again, hopefully further down the road lol.
I was told at 11:55am Thu 6/23/2022 that a replacement fan blade for my outside unit would have to be found and price obtained (to get my approvalbefore the technician could return to install new motor and blade. What stunned me at 4:35pm same day was the company said earliest to get the fan blade from Parts House and reschedule might be Mon 27th (they don’t ship nor install over the weekend). This meant my family would continue to suffer in 90 deg. house at least 2.5 more days. The company staffer unsympathetically ended the call “have a good day.”
"[Technician] Francisco did an amazing job. He completed the work in a timely manner. He was pleasant and professional. So, while my experience with Francisco was 5-star all the way, my experience with Speedy Electric and AC was less than zero stars which is not even on the scale! The problem Francisco came out to fix started 3 weeks ago when my AC went out. I called the Home Warranty folks. They dispatched Speedy within an hour of my call. HOWEVER, it took almost a week (5daysbefore they could send someone out to assess the problem. Parts had to be ordered. Home warranty approved the repair in less than 24 hours and parts were ordered. The parts arrived the following day. However, with temperatures in excess of 102 degrees and heat indexes higher than that, Speedy made me wait for 10 days before they could get Francisco or any technician out to my house. I spoke with 2 different Managers who told me there was nothing they could do. The Home warranty company called twice to try to get a faster time on the schedule given the extreme temperatures. We were all told there were 11 other Home Warranty customers (from various companieson the schedule ahead of me. The scheduling manager denied that they are short-staffed. They apparently don’t work overtime or weekends. They offered no solution to help; no portable unit(s), no fans, NOTHING!!! They left me in the sweltering heat to suffer for almost 3 weeks total. So they should actually change their name from "Speedy" to “we couldn’t care less as long as we get paid electric and AC. “ The sad part is that it’s not even peak season yet. I really feel sorry for any customers who call them in July or August." I will conclude by saying that Speedy did the pre-season tune up on my AC. That experience was very pleasant. They found a problem and fixed while on-site because they had the part. Each time the technicians could not have been more professional and both pairs of technicians were 5-Star. However, the company internal processes are broken and apparently, they really couldnt care less than the attitude expressed by both Managers I spoke with on the phone. They never asked if there were any medical conditions that might be exacerbated by having to live in the extreme heat during the waiting period because they DID. NOT. CARE.
Dishonest company!!! The extremely rude contractor used bad used parts. They replaced my capacitor 3 months ago.My AC broke again. Went to look at the part, it is dated jul 28, 2018…. Disgusting
The tech showed up on time. He was clean and respectful and on completion of the service assured me that my system was running perfectly. With hot weather happening the nest day he was correct and we have been comfortable since.
Connor was our service technician. He was very polite and courteous of our time. He went straight to work and identified the problem immediately. Afterwards, he did a full check of the system before departing. Well definitely use Speedys Service again!
Electrical Panel/breaker replacement: I have Landmark Home Warranty and they selected Speedy when I needed service following a power outage in the neighborhood that apparently knocked out a breaker. I checked their online reviews and was pleased to see a company with good reviews. That isnt always the case with home warranty contractors.The tech that came out was highly experienced, very thorough and explained everything related to the repair. I would be happy to use Speedy again even if it wasnt a warranty repair!
Very prompt and reliable. Installed new electrical line and plug ins for our above ground pool. Quick. Did not take them long. Friendly and professional. No mess left. Will definitely hire them again.
Logan arrived on time, very professional and very thorough with his work. He cared about the quality of his work and took the time to explain what and why he was doing what he was doing. You can tell he has experience and was very knowledgeable about his stuff. I hope they send him back to repair my AC once my home warranty approves the work.
One of the best service provider. Our air conditioner stopped working, within a day they were at our place, not only they were punctual they even explained very well what was wrong with the system. A part needed to be replaced and within 24 hours the part was ordered and replaced. Very efficient and amazing service provider. Highly recommend them!
Great job, friendly service, very timely. The other local company I got a quote from said $680 to move the thermostat to an adjacent wall vs the excellent price that was 1/3 that from Speedy. Their service was excellent from start to finish! I will be using them for a lot of future needs!

I highly recommend Speedy Electric! They have the best prices and awesome service! They never try to sell you something that you dont need and the techs are very friendly and respectful. Ive used them for several different things over the last three years and have always had a great experience.
I learned about this company through my home warranty. I have had them come out several times to install lighting, fix wiring, and AC maintenance. Each time the repair man is always very nice and kind. I actually feel as if they treat me like family because they are very upfront about what’s happening and costs. I highly recommend this company!
