Great @
Absolutely beautiful. Our kids have the best time spending hours playing in these woods. There is also a small outdoor "nature playground" it has 2 swings, a sand box, a table for observing nature treasures, a teepee, a canoe on land to play in, and child size picnic tables where we eat lunch before a hike. There is a small trail and a creek next to the playground. We love the Nature trail across the road from the parking lot. The Swamp Trail (trail head found across the street from the parking lotis our favorite, we have found salamanders, newts, frogs, toads, and many birds.
Beautiful place to enjoy with your family! Trails of different difficulty levels are fun to explore. Most people should wear long pants because the trails arent maintained well, hard to see the trail blazes on the trees . Keep your eyes open for wildlife, deer, bear, etc.Giftshop not open when Ive been there. Sometimes restrooms are closed..not sure why! Pack your lunch and water, and a hiking pole if tackling the steeper trails.
Great time for the kids. The hike was good and the animal interactions were very interesting!
Lovely, peaceful, easy trails. We had a nice, relaxing, enjoyable afternoon :-)
Quiet and beautiful
Love the variety of plant life, easy trail. Nice walk.
Ive been enjoying strawberry Hill for many years. Its so great now to share it with my children. I love that we can go for a relaxing stroll along the creek or we can go for a more strenuous hike up around the hill. Recently me and my four-year-old son went to see all of the animals at a workshop. Thanks for being there and keep up the good work!
Took the maple sugaring tour - very informative, fantastic tour guide - recommend!
Sweet little nature preserve with family friendly hiking trails. Creek and woods are lovely.
Lots of trails with maps on site.
Beautiful park and well maintained trails.
Beautiful hiking trails that are well marked. Grab a map from sign post prior to hiking as a guide so you know where you want to hike.
Very disappointed. Thought this would be a fun activity while we were visiting the area. However, the place was deserted, and very unkempt. The bridge was broken and the one trail was overgrown.
We don’t have much here in Fairfield, but Strawberry Hill is definitely a hidden gem and a place I always take guests and friends who are visiting. My children love the hikes and creeks. However the first thing we do is go spend time in the nature center. I was so incredibly disappointed to find out that what I thought was a renovation of the nature center was actually changing it into a classroom. No more seeing the live animals and bees, the taxidermy...you can only see them by booking an “animal ambassador” something or other. In other words, they got rid of it to make more money. Really sad and disappointed, but not surprised.
Quaint nature preserve with animal ambassadors and exhibits. Nice hiking trails
A beautiful place. Seems like maybe they dont have as much or as quality of help recently. I noticed some things need attention but overall it is wonderful. The trails are lovely.
Kids really enjoyed the summer camp program!
Wonderful Simple Place to Visit
One of our very favorite places! Great for kids, with lots of easy to moderate trails and a wonderful nature center.
Great place to hike with kids
Well maintained park with many trails, lake & nice restrooms
Some of the bridges are slick when wet, thus the 4 stars.
This is a great place to visit. Three are outdoor activities for people of all ages. Lots of nice hikes, too.
Nice place to reconnect with nature
Had a great time
It is a great place to both casually hike and climb 400ft in 1 1/4 miles.
When in a hike very nice place and a lot to see.
Loved the tour on how maple syrup is made. We learned a lot. Dress warmly in layers! If theyre offering an all you can eat breakfast, save yourself and your money. Eat first somewhere else.
Beautiful area.
Gorgeous trail and well maintained with easy parking and not highly touristed. I went in mid July and again early August and both times the trail was lined with wild raspberries. Seriously could have filled gallons worth if I wanted to take the time and easily accessed. Trail is easy and crosses a small Creek on cute wooden bridges of varying types.
Lovely trails and scenery that can really help you connect to nature and destress
Quaint, out of the way, natural trails
Peaceful hiking, not crowded, pets welcome
Fabulous place. Small. Quiet. Dog friendly. Just Hike and enjoy the peace
Great nature hike with the family.
