Super 8 by Wyndham Bonner Springs in Leavenworth County

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The front desk staff member was exceptionally welcoming, informative, and helpful. He was equally welcoming in the morning: greeting customers, inquiring about their experience, and offering his assistance. Breakfast bar was surprisingly plentiful and nutritious (considering COVID restrictions).We will stay here without hesitation. Highly recommend!

It’s not a Super 8 anymore, it’s nicer. They have truck parking on the street and on the far side of the building. Staff was friendly, although it cost $100 for one night. Very clean with a King sized bed, about 10 pillows and a comforter fluffy enough to house a family of eskimos. Mini fridge and microwave, coffee pot, shampoo and soap provided. Even the towels were decent. Everything worked as it should, and I have zero complaints. There is a nice Mexican restaurant within walking distance as well as a couple other fast food choices.

Nice place! Under remodel but wasnt an issue. Looked nice inside, rooms were clean and breakfast had several options.

Nice place for the price. They were in the process of exterior improvements. But the interior wqs more than I expected. The blankets had some holes in them though. But overall it was a good deal and the pet fee was affordable, unlike Marriott.

Great price! We didn’t expect much, as we were just needing a room for after a concert, but it was very clean and nice. We were put in a double queen room after we had asked for 1 king (not really a big dealand a light bulb was missing from one of our lamps (also not a big dealThey are currently doing renovations so the hot tub didn’t work which was the biggest disappointment to us but the pool was warm and seemed nice. We will definitely be back. Super close to Providence Medical Center Amphitheater which is my favorite music venue so now we know where to stay after shows.

When we check in, they give us wrong room, he swimming pool was no working, it was available for swim, but the filters were no working, so it was really hard in Clorox, no hot pool neither working, no microwave, the coffee machine was no working, and when we come back in the night the room key was no working. Really if I need to choose for another hotel I would.

Not going to lie, I was pleasantly surprised with my stay. It was under construction during our stay, so walking in I was for sure we wouldn’t be staying as the building itself was not too appealing. I quickly realized, they are remodeling. We were lucky enough to get one of their updated rooms & we had a great experience. Clean, working TV, working AC, comfortable beds. Just wish we had more pillows. Overall, I was happy and slept well. Thank you!

I just stayed a few days ago . they charged right around 160 dollars to stay over night. My tv didnt work. No one could get it to work . but if you book on line you can save yourself almost 60 dollars off the walk in rate. What up with that ? I fell like they stole from me or thought i was stupid . or plainly just took advantage of me and i give them a very poor ratung over that one

The main reason I booked was for the pool. Pool closed until spring. Spa also closed. Then when we got to our room there was no power or lights. Had to go back to the lobby and deal with the idiot at the desk to get a different room. They did not help us move to another room even though my husband is disabled. Not a happy camper!

Just checked in and the room has a cigarette burn on the bed comforter. Black stains on the floor the carpet is dirty door frame for bathroom is missing a large piece exposing snags bathroom handle on the toilet is broke the room is filthy toothpaste on the counter. On top of the fridge it’s filthy all the services seem very dirty. Had to go down to the counter and talk to Seth behind the desk to make sure I wasn’t going to get charge for the damage and filth on the carpet and the cigarette burns on the bed

Smoking and non-smoking, it didnt make a difference the halls on the fourth floor reeked of second hand smoke. The front desk and dinning area gave a very false sense of cleanliness. Ask to see the room youll be staying in before you sign anything! The shower head looked as if it had been taken from the depths of a porta potty. The dingy hairdryer didnt even work. The really old flatscreen tv didnt even have a usd or hdmi port. The beds were firm and uncomfortable. The comforter had cigarette burns. The heater in our room worked wonders though and the breakfast was okay. Met some other guests who stayed on the 1st floor because they had a pet- they complained about how freezing it was down there. They were also out of basic toiletries. We wished we would have spent the extra $ to have stayed elsewhere because it was literally that terrible.

Long day driving in bad weather, capped off with a war clean hotel staffed by cheerful friendly people. The room was perfect, the breakfast was hot and good tasting, really a pleasure to spend a few hours there.

Went to celebrate my daughters bday with a little swimming. Once I got there we were notified the pool was closed for the season due to remodeling. We went a head and checked in because the room was paid for a week oroorto arrival. We get to the room only to find the bed had stains on it which was completely disgusting. Around 8:30 I got a noise complaint from tet front desk. We ended up checking out at that time.

Ive stayed at a few hotels. By leaps, & bounds, this is a far better place to stay in Kansas. Ive stayed downtown at over $150 a nite. Here, the price far below that, fantastic breakfast. Front desk attendant complete sweetheart. Not an issue at all with this place. Nice indoor pool, great breakfast, wonderful price. If you spend just a small extra you can get the suite w private bedroom. Worth Its wait in gold,Somtimes on extended family trips. Lol. Super 8 is Exceptional give it a try. I think you will agree. Ammended So what I thought was a great place was a total sham. The counter help, D. Espinoza, is quite possibly the worst person in customer service industry. On a day when the hotel shut the water off there hadnt been any postings that the water was going to be off. My wife requested a couple bottles of water So that we could wash up our hands at least, and the above mentioned worker decided to debate, whether or not my wife should pay for the water. That debate ended with the counter worker. Espinoza , calling my wife the c,word that women arent supposed to be called. (He left before I found out about that& I was charged $500 for smoking in a room. But I paid for a smoking room,& the floor I was on the elevator was messed up. So put on diff floor diff type of room. I had askd if we could smoke in this new room which we were told Yes!! But because Espinoza was yelled at by my wife, he vindictivelly charged us $500 this place is only slightly better than myysleeping on the street & being robbed while asleep. Bad buisness

Being a budget motel, I was overall pleased with this location. The hotel was clean and fairly well kept. Free breakfast in the mornings. The only negative I have is that the beds and pillows were very firm. If you enjoy soft/fluffy mattresses and pillows, you might be in for a rough nights sleep.

Excellent customer service, clean comfortable affordable suite, friendly helpful staff. The pool is open till 11pm and was clean well stocked with towels. We live in Kansas City and whenever we need a stay-cation we choose this hotel. We have been half a dozen times or so and will continue to give them our business. Never had a bad experience here.

office staff very helpful. he air conditioning could have been a little better. did not want to blow cold air at all. otherwise the room was neat and clean. the front desk staff(Arianawas very friendly and helpful

I really have enjoyed my stay at the Super 8 hotel in Bonner Springs. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for our family reunion. I will definitely stay here again.

The room was a bit outdated, at first the telephone did not work & we found out it was not even plugged in, the toilet lid & seat had pink stains so even though it was clean, it was not appealing. The breakfast area was not kept up from spills. Other then that it was okay if all you want to do is have a bed to sleep except then it is overpriced.

Very clean, and great customer service. The room was very clean, bed was a little on the firm size, pillows were very small and very limited on getting any extra. Had WiFi and TV in room. Breakfast was good it had milk, coffee, orange juice, apple juice.... Waffles, bananas, biskets & gravy, oatmeal, bread & muffins.

The elevator was fishy. It almost close on a person. The door close button was missing. The pool had an intense amount of chlorine in it. The rooms were nice and the bed was average.

Rooms were clean, but the pillows were terrible. The breakfast left something to be desired even for hotel breakfasts. Not bad for a one or two night stay, but wouldnt want to be there longer.

Somehow I managed to book two rooms when I only needed one. I knew the reservation option I selected was no cancellations possible so I was not going to request any refund. The supervisor was the one the checked me in when he realized I only needed one room he only charged me for the one. super friendly and super clean rooms.

Breakfast was on the upper end of what I have experienced at hotels for free breakfast. Rooms were great. Pool was nasty though. Could have just been because it was not the season for swimming

Gave me a smoking room instead of reserved non smoking. Which by the way if you get a non smoking room on the 4th floor, thats where they put all the smoking rooms. The whole floor reeks of stale smoke. The pool and hot tub were nice, my checking was the fastest Ive ever had. The day staff was very nice and the breakfast was just typical hotel breakfast. No meat option though. All starch or carb. Some yogurt.

We had to stop because of an ice storm. The clerk was friendly and timely. We had noisy neighbors but thats not their fault. Breakfast was boss. They had waffles and biscuits and gravy alongside the toast and cereal and muffins of a normal continental. Would stay here again.

Excellent service, modern rooms, generous breakfast, clean and comfortable. This was by far the best hotel I have been to on any of my trips. Me and the family did not have a reservation, and still the customer service was great.

This place is clean, comfortable, and priced right. They let dogs stay for a reasonable price. No complaints other than the rooms could use a bit of TLC. The carpet was coming up in one corner of our room and the paint in the shower was chipping. Otherwise, we really enjoyed it. Breakfast is included too and it isnt bad.

We booked a room here for 2 nights. We were overcharged but the next night we brought it up and they dixed it promptly. Taylor at the front desk was very nice and friendly. The breakfast is the typical moderate. The rooms looked outdated. When i used the coffee maker i found a used coffee pack still in the coffee maker. It was also apparent that the coffee maker has not been cleaned in a long time. I would recommend holiday next door.

We have stayed here many times in the last 10 years..... But when we went this last time, it took in excess of 10 minutes for the front desk clerk to appear. Then it was very dirty, graffiti in the elevator, carpets in halls and rooms were scary gross, bars blocking the lower level Windows, as if they are trying to keep trespassers out, someone even smoking Marijuana so you could smell it in the lobby. But when we were greeted by the local police department at the front door, we decided that this would be the last time at this motel. I would not recommend this motel at all.

The room was spacious and nice. It had restaurants around it which are eating convenient. The Wifi didnt have any problems so all and all it was a generally good hotel.

Got to the room and the TV did not work moved to another room seemed clean and fine. They skimp on pillows, towels and wash rags. Went to breakfast on Saturday morning around 7- nothing there, tried to get an orange juice and just came out watery, showed the front desk person and asked when it would be restocked since there wasnt anything to eat and he didnt know, the breakfast people for a breakfast that started at 6 am had not been there yet.... Didnt even try breakfast on Sunday just wanted to leave. will not be back!

The room was clean, the DirecTV went out due to a storm but the wifi worked great. My wife didnt think the pool looked very clean. The breakfast was lacking bacon, sausage, eggs, and hashbrowns. My gluten free options were a banana and some yogurt. Overall it was worth it for the price.

We stay at many hotels as we travel for work and this hotel was by far one of the best we have ever stayed in. This resembles nothing of a Super 8 but more like a Comfort Inn or Best Western! The manager David was extremely nice and helpful!! When we first got there the front desk lady had a little attitude but our other encounters with her were better. This is an extremely clean hotel with good breakfast and nice sized rooms! Will definitely stay here again whenever we come back to Bonner Springs.

The hotel wasnt hard to find. Upon walking in the hotel is not as nice as they make it out to be. Went to the pool area and the hottub water was green and cold. The ceiling above the pool looked like it was about to collapse. The smoking rooms and nonsmoking rooms are in the same hallway. Horrible stay.

Went to visit the renaissance fair from august 30-September 1 with my girlfriends family which consisted of a toddler, me, my girlfriend, her parents, and her brother and his girlfriend we got two rooms which cost $130/night each. We found this hotel and booked a month in advance because they had decent reviews. When we got there everything was fine until we got back from the pool. The showers in our room didnt work so we complained and they said "we would be taken care of", the showers were never fixed (how do you place people in a hotel room where the showers dont work). Additionally, the window locks didnt work in the room where the toddler slept so that was a safety hazard which we didnt bother to bring up. To top that, we later found bites all over the toddler to which we investigated and found fleas (this is a pet friendly hotelin the sheets, we requested the rooms be fully cleaned and found out the sheets werent even changed (as we placed a small mark in the corner of the sheets). We also had a single pillow per person on each bed with no extra blankets, there were no towels in the pool and we were never given extra towels to compensate for the lack of situation of having to use the towels from our rooms. To top it all off they discounted our $500+ dollar bill or a whole $20 dollars for not being able to shower or bath the entire weekend and for not having the amenities that were promised. I could go on and on about how poor of quality this hotel and service was but I just want to move on.We stayed August 2014, and will not be staying there again...

Stayed for a sold out weekend during the local renaissance festival, KCRF. We checked in early and they met our room request of being on a top floor. Front desk staff was friendly both day and night shifts. The rooms were clean and furniture looked fairly new. Lots of parking. Breakfast was good but they only had one waffle maker so that line was slow. Had to take a star off for having smoking rooms on the same floor as non-smoking rooms. We had non-smoking but the smoke from down the hall wafted down and we had to put a towel under the door to keep it out. While we were there the spa was broken and the temperature was hot enough to boil noodles. They told us the hotel was in transition and they lost their maintenance person. Hopefully that will be fixed when we go back next year.

We stayed here to attend the Renaissance Fair that was 1 mile away. There were 3 couples and they were absolutely no help on assisting getting taxi service to and from. We begged them when left at the Fair with no ride to get a shuttle service back to hotel they refused. We were also told there was hot tub in the website only to find out it was broke down and the manager said he would have it up and running by the time we arrived back to hotel. When we were ready to use it the rude desk person said its not in service!!! Horrible service and elevator is disgusting. Wont stay here again. Rooms okay.

We stayed here on our last trip and it wasnt bad, but it has gone downhill fast.When I checked in I was told the WiFi was broken (one of the amenities we actually needed being small business owners). I was told they would cancel and refund our reservation but nothing else was available in the area so why bother.Our room was hot and stale upon arriving. Cranked it down to 72 and found it unable to keep up with the heat. miserable first night. Interstate noise is a lot more noticeable on the west side of the building. Hot and sweaty a quick shower revealed the label on the shower is completely wrong. The shower curtain rod broken.Accessing the elevator required you to wait in a space the size of a closet shared with the vending machines that increased the temp another 20 degrees from the hallway. Access card reader was non-functioning on the South-West Door. Breakfast was a joke of high carb fillers with zero access to proteins.This will be the last two nights we stay here.

Cheap, but was placed in a smoking room even after I asked for no smoking. One of our party was allergic, so we spent most of the time out of the hotel. Hot tub was broken and pool was pretty cold. Staff was always away from front desk. Took us 20 minutes to get checked in even after booking online.

Stayed here for attending the renaissance faire. A very decent hotel. Its not spectacular but for a couple of days its not bad at all. The room I stayed in was in good shape, nothing broken, beds made, clean towels and bathroom. Continental breakfast was served and well made. One complaint was that we had specifically asked for a pullout bed for one of our rooms when we booked the hotel, but then did not get one and had to pay 10 dollars to roll one up. 10 dollars isnt too much but still, it was requested. Otherwise, decent experience

The staff in which I had contact with were all very friendly.My complaints more come from how hard the beds were and paper flat the pillows were it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. The carpet is stained but other than that the room was very clean and the towels are also paper thin and dont seem to absorb the water, so if staying here Id bring my own. I actually went to karma rat down the Rd and bought every own in my party their own towel. As far as the pool area hot tub wasnt warm at all the third night of our visit they finally out up a sign saying it was temporarily out of service and we noticed that both the hot tub and pool had a scum on them so that was really disappointing, Id honestly say just pony up the extra 20 bucks and stay at the hotel next door, even if you dont use the pool youll get a better nights stay. Also the breakfast everyday we were there was dry salty biscuits and gravy so think about that as well.

Very clean and friendly place. I got to be the new bosss first check in.I can appreciate his concern for taking too long. I didnt feel it was too long. He did a great job and made me feel welcome.

A friend & myself stayed at Super 8 Bonner Springs after attending a 5k in the area. The pool area was awesome and the spa was a great place to relax after our run. Our room/bathroom was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed our stay here. Clean and quiet rooms. Hotel staff were friendly and nice. We visit family in the area and this will be where we stay next time. I would suggest purchasing a softer toilet paper.

This isnt a five star hotel, and this week its not 4 star. Their internet was out, they didnt mention that when I made the reservation or at the front desk. One of the staff was sarcastic and rude. Theres no laundry here anymore, and the parking lot isnt big enough for all the people staying here. The room is the only reason this place didnt get 2 stars. Clean (except the cigarette butt left in the roomand everything you need (except the toilet wouldnt flush til they fixed it).

WiFi down, pool green and spelled like chlorine, water damage everywhere, food old and stale with trix yogurt as the only yogurt, and the TV channels were not right with very few channels and also very low quality. But the room way clean. Woo hoo! So if you are spending one night and leaving in the morning probably OK but for a week like I was, you better bring a lot of money to go places or just get a better hotel.

We stayed for the one night while traveling . Staff was great. Very good breakfast. Clean room lots a pillows. No smoking so no nasty stale cigarette smells. Everything looked new. Would highly recommend.
