SureStay Hotel by Best Western Tuscaloosa Southeast in Tuscaloosa County

Upon entering the hotel I was kindly greeted as if they were waiting for my arrival personally! The rooms were very clean and everything look just like the photos online. Being a travel nurse can be a bit overwhelming at times. This is the first time I got everything I needed in the first booking. I wasn’t aware of sport events taking place in the area so I was a bit concerned about availability for duration of my stay. After a long day of work I approach the desk and spoke with who I now know was the GM, Mr.Huey. He assured me that everything would be taken care of and that I wouldn’t have to worry about having a safe, clean, consistent place to stay. His exact words were “Don’t worry we take care of our guest here and we greatly appreciate traveling nurses”, I was blown away by his hospitality. He went above and beyond to keep his word. I walked to my room in tears. There are definitely still great people in this world and I found one while on a lonely 3 month assignment. If you are traveling in the area, this place is definitely a gem! I’ll be here until January with my temporary surestay family. I’ve never felt so welcomed. Complimentary breakfast that starts ur day just right. This is an unbelievable experience thus far. Thanks so much.

Excellent place! Nice clean rooms! Actually got to see the artist in action painting the mural in the lobby! (Awesome workHuey is the BEST!!! His energy and vibe is unmatchable! He had us checked in and informed of everything in no time. Definitely highly recommend staying here. I definitely will be back. This hotel along with Huey deserves higher than 5 stars!! I was so nervous not being from this area and for the price.. you get a hit and miss, right. Wow! Amazing 👏 the rooms, treatment, services, breakfast, thoughtful and special details make this place a go back to for sure!!!! Loved it!! And door dash or Uber eats brings you anything!! 10 star!! (For what its worth, my husbands picky and he even was in wow!)

Mr Huey Harris the manager made me and my family feel like home. Staff is great. I represent anyone to choose this hotel over other hotels. Room was super great and he gave my family a great rate. Hes a great manager and will be staying long time. Thanks again Huey

Have stayed here before and highly recommend to budget traveler. Clean and comfortable rooms. Pet Friendly! The towels are nothing to write home about, but now you get free breakfast. It’s really a good spot about 15-20 min from falls.

This is a pretty good hotel to stay in for the price! They are currently under renovations, so the inside lobby doesn’t look fantastic, but most of the property is modern and classy. I found three hairs in my bedding and there were a few stains which is why I’m giving it four stars. For the most part; the sheets, bedding, and towels looked clean and the floors were vacuumed. The room smelled a bit weird, and there were stains in the bathtub, but we didn’t have any big issues overall. The room was a good size and the breakfast had many options (it was a full breakfast). Overall, I would rate it 6 1/2-7 out of 10 stars.

Highly recommend for the price. Our room was roomy, clean, and comfortable. The reception at check in was very polite. However, part of the reason we chose to stay was for the hot breakfast until 9:30 (posted on the placard in the roomand when we went to eat at 8:15, there was nothing despite my husband seeing the hot food there 10 minutes earlier. The man at the front desk just said “oh yeah, that’s been gone… since 8:00.”

Thanks to Huey the General Manager, we had an awesome stay . My mini vacation turned from 1 day to 5 days because we felt so comfortable and didn’t want to leave. Huey takes special care of his customers and he shows concern. I recommend this hotel anytime you are in Tuscaloosa. And it’s very safe 100%

Most people who read reviews want to know if the reviewer would stay again. Some sites even ask "would you recommend this property?"In both cases the answer is a resounding Yes, which is a result of the pleasant, caring staff. Leslie, Emily & Stephanie are all mentored by a kind and gracious manager, "Mr. Huey" Harris, who is mentioned positively by many Google reviewers.Its a rare review that tells how a customer was "blessed" by their stay instead of describing the clean room or the great breakfast or the other nice amenities like the courtyard out front, but in my case thats exactly the feeling I left with. I was incredibly fortunate to stumble across this location for a simple nights rest only to discover that the stay turned into more of a visit with friends & family.Theres a reason this location was rated as one of Tuscaloosas best. The staff is the embodiment of 1 Corinthians 13. If you want to see the parable of the Good Samaritan played out in real life, and not just read about it in Luke 10: 25-37, I would encourage you to give this award-winning property, under the guidance of an award-winning manager, a try. I believe they will welcome you into their family and you will leave as refreshed and invigorated as the many other reviewers who have left positive comments.If no one is waiting and you want to hear an inspirational story, ask Mr. Harris to tell you his. Love them. It’s a pretty hotel with a nice chill/smoke/grill area that has lights and nice chairs. The staff is super friendly even when the night clerk had a right to have an attitude. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Also a bonus that they provide a variety of pillows.

I wished that I couldve had the opportunity to give a more fair review, but I was denied that.Today, I was not expecting to write such a review, but when I went to a local hotel chain to inquire about their rooms before recommending them to an out-of-town family. Needless to say, when I approached the gentleman and inquired about viewing one of their rooms prior to making a reservation, he implied that he was extremely busy and didnt have time to show anything at the time. To be fair, there was only one other person in the hotel lobby, and nobody was checking at the moment. Thus, I inquired once more when the best time to return would be, and he replied, "Tomorrow." I inquired as to whether he was the manager, to which he replied, "No, I am the owner." At this point, I introduced myself and identified myself as an elected official, but he insisted that I return the following day. I took his business card and walked away. He attempted to entice me inside, but I continued walking. Its unfortunate that hotel chains ostensibly in the hospitality business are too busy to accommodate a potential customer. Mr. Huey Harris was so unprofessional in my opinion that if that was the last available hotel in town, I would sleep in my car rather than patronize an establishment like this "Sure Stay by Best Western". Ive been a Best Western customer for over three decades and this does not reflect their service. It astounds me that Best Western would even allow such a hotel to participate in their affiliate program.

My stay was really comfortable. The place looks great and very clean. When i needed to change my reservation they were very accommodating. When i checked out, Huey was so nice and gave me some of the best customer service I’ve ever got at a hotel. He’s great. Im definitely coming back.
