The door man was very rude. Pints are overpriced for a SU Bar building that is very run down. Food is shocking. Staff cant pull a pint.

We went for hockey match teas.Took too long, waiting for lifetime for pizza. And when we got, they came out and served the home team first pizza and we as the away team should be served beacuse we have to get back to where we need to be. Half are team left beacuse it took so long to arrive. Then we got a pizza and four arrived for the home time. Beyond fuming. Bad service.

This place is clearly just a low effort cash cow for the uni. There has been no investments into upgrading the place over the years I have been here, apart from putting an unnecessary new sign. Understaffed, expensive, poor selection, kitchen is never open or food takes ages to come, beers run out or taps do not work... The list goes on. Such a shame to miss such a nice opportunity to have a decent, welcoming student bar.

Needs a good clean carpet filthy floors always covered in drink stains smells bad me and alot of my friends preferred going elsewhere

The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional - especially the blond female security guard. The atmosphere is nothing special and quite frankly it is underwhelming. The tequila shots were with cheap lemon juice instead of lime. You better flush your money down the drain than visit this place because you WILL waste your time. I usually do not have high standards but “the stags” is an absolute utter trash.

Was a one off due to daughters graduation, appalling weather however were made very welcome,a good pint and selection of drinks, atmosphere was loud but fun.Had our dog Jack with us who received VIP attention levels, well worth a visit.

Great friendly place for students (they ask for ID at the door on busy nights). Drinks are cheap if you know what youre ordering, but otherwise great atmosphere. Also open very early good for post exam sorrows.

A little expensive for a student union pub, but karaoke and TFIFridays are good. Food is ok and quite cheap- the 2for1 pizzas are good when its not too busy (service can be slow). Convenient for students on campus.

Tends to be busy especially on a Friday but great place to catch up with friends. Thursday is karaoke night so definitely worth a visit then. Great pizza and decent price pints, cant really go wrong

Great pub, cheap drinks and always showing the sports. Has pool table, darts and quiz machines and karaoke nights on thursdays. Also 241 pizza before 6pm you cant not love it

Very friendly staff who are helpfull. Drinks are reasonably priced and have a large range. Only food I have had is the pizza are very cheap but mine wasnt fully cooked. Overall would recommend.

Its the best . Student bar . Lovely friendly staff always welcoming. Affordable grub. All sorts of events. Karaoke Thursday. Best night of the week.

If theres a party at 5 £ at SUSU it is definitely better to go there because the stags is usually really full of people and you have to wait a lot in line, you cant seat. But theres a karaoke.

Members only student bar with great karaoke nights on Thursday. Some snacks and food is served here. Music is a mix of absolutely everything from the last 20 years.

Not good service by a girl bartender. People skip places in the line and bartender encourage them. Not nice

Cheap beer and cider and a fully functional pool table are the main draws, as well as the stunning performances on Thursday night karaoke. Just be prepared to feel old if youre over 21, ancient if youre past 25. Sign in by students only for non-UoS students.Enjoy! (But perhaps not the hangover in the morning).

A pivotal reality for all students on Highfield campus. The coziest on campus for a quick bite for lunch and the liveliest after lectures end at 6 pm. Roomy and well laid interior, decent selection of cheap beers, interesting pizzas and snacks, pool, darts, fifa.. Definetely complete as a pub package. Ill hold the fifth star back until sofas are reintroduced!!!

Literally nothing to fault about The Stags. The service is great, the events are sick, karaoke is incredible and the DJ is next level. Flamingo is lit, Le Blanc is my favourite. I LOVE STAGS. Best feature on campus.

Have a lot, lot of fun (if not hazymemories here with friends, cheap as chips student bar with pizza, toasties and hot dogs to help soak up the alcohol, yum.

Good prices, service is normally ok but sometimes theyre all chatting and not very responsive. Karaoke is always amazing! Defo go there!

A great student pub with nice food (toasties, hot dogs and pizzafor a very low price. Live sports available regularly with TV screens all over the place.

I loved watching football here with a drink and food beside. The disappointing was that sometimes I knew better than staff what drinks they have in bar :)))
