Recent visit to see the facility and learn about the horsemanship lessons Shelley teaches. Its a lovely farm with various animals in addition to the horses.

Miss Shelly was patient with our 4 year old granddaughter. We enjoyed the experience of her riding the pony and the petting zoo feeding various animals. Really had fun for about 1 hour total.

So great! Shelley is such a kind, patient, loving, and peaceful teacher and her horses are so beautiful. I highly recommend it!

My 4 and 6 year old daughter started lessons at Sweet Meadow Stables 2 weeks ago, and each week they continuously ask when they can go back. They LOVE it! They love that they are learning so much about taking care of horses, respecting them, communicating with them, and so much more! We had such a great time learning about horse whispering today! Shelley was great with our young kids too!

My daughters had so much fun learning how to communicate with horses, ride them, and even clean them! The experience was holistic and honored both the new riders and the horses. Definitely a memoria le experience with take-always that have lasted through the years!

Sweet Meadow Stable is the best place on the Eastern Shore to learn to ride and gain confidence in yourself as well as feel accepted and loved for who you are. I have been going to sweet meadow stables since I was a little girl. Shelley, her team, and her horses are patient, knowledgeable and fun. It’s a great place to learn true horsemanship and riding skills.

We LOVE Shelley and her family! She introduced us to Natural Horsemanship. Whenever were in DE, we practically live there! My daughters have continued their work in Natural Horsemanship and now have a rescue pony (that Shelley had rescued and we adopted a few years laterand a feral Nokota pony. Shelley helped to build their foundation and confidence! She is caring, nurturing, and uses her experiences to teach people of all ages. Shelley also combines her artistic talents during camps to create a wonderful experience! Her view of having each student learn all aspects of horsemanship, including caring for the horses, is so important. Be prepared to groom, hoof pick, and how to put on a saddle and bit correctly! Youll walk away not only knowing how to care for horses, but also with a new found understanding of them!

My daughter started riding with Shelley at Sweet Meadows Stable when she was 9. She has Autism and anxiety. This was definitely a good experience and helped her through a difficult time. We tried another facility that was closer but she knew that Sweet Meadows and Shelley were the place for her!!!
