Tacos Chabelita in Sussex County

First time ever going here.Got the Carne asada tacos 🌮 They were delicious! We also got the Flan & churros for dessert. All of it was sooo good. Definitely going back for Taco Tuesday!

Fun, family place for good Mexican food.

Made a to-go order, got nachos and tacos. The nachos were soggy and soupy. Not to mention the chips themselves were under all the toppings so they were soggy and extremely hard/messy to eat. The tacos have a bland and weird flavor, almost like burnt cardboard. It was not worth the money.

Spectacular burrito!! So flavorful and fresh ingredients..my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience!

We went to have dinner. We sat down the table was dirty every napkin was dirty and the menu was gross as well. We didnt even make it to ordering food. The sat the salsa down and it just looked like soup.

Tacos Chabelita catered for our wedding of 210 people (and two other weddings we’ve been toand they have been so great and such a big hit for all of them!! The staff is so kind and helpful and they are so great to work with! I can’t recommend them enough, for dine in and for catering!

Been here a couple of times and their food has been amazing. Very good sized portions will definitely not leave here hungry. The wings are a great appetizer love the sauce they put on them.

This is a WONDERFUL restaurant. The service was attentive, but not so much that I was annoyed. The food was plentiful and delicious. We sat at the bar, to the side, se we could see behind the bar. It was heavily trafficked area, but stayed clean.It doesnt appear like a shining star from the outside, but I assure you, this is a NOT TO MISS restaurant.

The food is great and authentic, but the building is pretty small and may not be to some people standard. If you only care for great Mexican food this is the place for you.

Last time I went, I got caldo de 7 mares, but the taste wasnt really good..... I should get tacos instead.

Although, I checked there reviews before going and was hesitant because most of the reviews were giving “hit and miss vibes”. I still decided to give them a try. It was a disappointment for me and my friend. The food had no flavor and my meat was dry like it was day old reheated meat. Only thing we found decent were the beans. Both decided to not return again.

Really good authentic tacos and Mexican dishes!

Waitress wasnt very attentive or friendly, didnt refill drink, or even care to check if we needed anything throughout our meal. The Al pastor tacos were bland and totally flavorless. Barbacoa ones were great..... will take the trip to La Sierra in selbyville before i go 2 mins down the road here again.

Nice little Mexican restaurant. No idea if its is really authentic but the food was good and they knew how to make a diet cherry coke.

This place doesnt look like much outside. It is real nice inside. South of the border decor and music. I will go there again. Mexican food has more flavor than most food, my opinion, their food is fantastic, at a fair price

What can i say about Taco Chabileta that it’s food doesn’t say for itself. I was in a very, very dark place and then i ate a pork taco, refried beans, and a order of those birria tacos. I put the bottle of pills i was going to consume down because of the wonderful authentic Mexican flavor of this food. Thank you Jesus, for Taco Chabileta if it wasnt for y’all, I’d be gone. Was hungry after long day .I’m from south Texas . -real Mexican food -I’m a truck driver , went with family , didn’t let me in because of stroller .Was told by waitress I could just go leave it in car , I’m a trucker ?Not family friendly

Our waitress was very good, and the food was delicious. Everything had lots of flavor cooked throughout! One of the best mexican restaurants!! Also, prices were VERY good!

Was very rude and waited over 30 minutes for a Fountain soda and the wont Correct Mistakes On orders they do. But if your white they are super friendly but a person of color they are going to ignore you and make you wait

This is my favorite place, would recommend all ,but to make the right comment, I love the fish tacos.. and enjoy the service.

took forever bring my food. the salsa was waterey and the chips taste mid.

On mothers day my sister and I were happy to visit the authentic food restaurant the waitresses were promt, helpful, and friendly. However when we questioned the sour smelling and sour tasting chicken cascadia and asked for a different dish. The super refused until I asked for a To go box to take the product to the health department then I was accused of being dishonest and just wanted something different. She agreed to make a different dish ,took back the chicken. We didnt stick around for the next platter.

Do not judge it by looks! The food here is amazing. The tacos are delicious and a lot of flavor. They have a french fry app that is smothered in meat and cheese which is amazing. Been there twice in one week and have been getting new family members to go, everyone is surprised at how good the food is here. No more Plaza Tapitia for me. Just go try the food or at least get some carry-out.

I had the brilla tacos they were amazing it was very busy tonight so we had a wait for our food but over all everything was good

Salsa had sweet taste to it which I found weird. Worst service ever. We sat down for 15 minutes when I seen people come and get drinks and salsa asap. I motioned toward waiter who acted like he didnt see me so said excuse me could we get some drinks please. Ordered our food and got my son a chicken and cheese quesadilla just chicken and cheese I told the waitress. His food came out had tomatoes chunks in with with lots of onions. He took one bite and didnt eat nomore finally told me the quesadilla was soggy. Took forever for waitress to come back explained to her it was not what I asked for the tomato situation. Asked for just a cheese quesadilla since she said they dont do just chicken and cheese it comes with the tomato sauce. Waitress come back out saying manager said I will have to pay for both meals since nothing was wrong with the food I just didnt like it. I was like it was saggy and quesadilla should not dip. Just cancel the cheese quesadilla. She comes back 25 minutes later with the cheese quesadilla. I explained I cancelled it because I didnt want to pay for both meals Id pay just for the one he didnt eat. Than manager came out saying I had to take cheese quesadilla because they tossed out his meal even tho nothing was wrong. Ended up just asking for check. This was place was highly recommended to me and service was horrible food was okay what I had. Never got asked if we wanted refills. Waitress seemed to be worried about people drinking at bar than her tables.

This place is a local favorite! If you want authentic Hispanic food than come here! Always recommend. Every visit is great! Food is always amazing and the staff are always so great as well! Must visit

I have been twice and satisfied both times...The food is hot, fresh, and delicious.Huevos Rancheros con chorizo was really good, and their Cubano is massive.Taco Tuesday is a great deal with their specials.Add chips, salsa, and guacamole, and you have a true fiesta in the making.

Me and my girlfriend ordered nachos and birria tacos for carryout and they were phenomenal! You absolutely need to check this spot out! Awesome food and service will be coming back again and again!!!

There to support #smallbusinesssaturday For being a Mexican restaurant, the authenticity and flavor of the food is ok. If I am extremely hungry, I would visit again. It may just be the region from Mexico they are from, but I was not a fan of the flavor compared to other Mexican restaurants. I love that they had fresh guacomole but in reality it was just mashed avocado. It lacked salt, onion, tomatoes as that is what makes Guacamole. Again, it may just be the area from Mexico that they are from.

If your looking for authentic Mexican food this is it!! My family and I love this place! My personal favorite are the birria tacos (I just wish they would give you 4 tacos in the birria tacos instead of 3, that’s the only thing I would change), but everything they make is amazing! It’s always packed too which is a good sign. I have also recommended this place to family, friends and coworkers. Definitely need to try this place at least once if you are in the Laurel area!

I’m always on the lookout good authentic street tacos, and these were great tacos! Of the three meats I had, the al pastor was my favorite. Glad I had time to stop for lunch.

Food and service was well prepared. Their taco Tuesday platter deal is great for the price.

Delicious, I got the birria tacos

Its a tad bit difficult to rate places during this while pandemic at times. However, Ill be as honest as possible. The food was good. Despite the order being messed up twice. The taco Tuesday is a great deal! The quesadilla was stuffed and tasty! I was able to add chorizo to my pollo enchiladas which turned it up a notch! Small personal feel with good traditions braided into it. 2 star drops was the mistakes, and the fact that we had to go get the check after waiting to order more drinks more than once. I look forward to going back amd turning this into a 4 or 5!

The food and service are both awesome! I was very happy with this place. We plan on going back this weekend!

I ordered carry out on taco Tuesday and was charged double I asked for the onions on my tacos to be fried they were raw. The shrimp tacos had little meat I couldnt even tell it was shrimp

WE HAD AN EXCELLENT CINCO DE MAYO AT CHABELITAS, GREAT SPECIALS ON MARGARITAS AND FOOD.. THE MARIACHI BAND WAS AWESOME..AND THE SERVICE WAS EVEN BETTER.. DELICIOUS FOOD.. FAJITAS.. TACOS AND SHRIMP CUCARACHAS... LOVE THEM..

Guac salsa and their chips are amazing. Its not my favorite place but its good. When my brand and rice came out covered in cheese and I asked to have it cheese free I was told Id be charged for a second plate but someone took care of it.

Wonderful food! The service was good, prices are fair. The only downfall is the restaurant is a little tight.
