Has nice food. Must try the paneer tikka masala. They alse serve lunch platters to go on request
Really good food. We order often from here and it’s consistent. Once we were sent chole that was spoilt and when reported they made fresh and delicious chole and sent it. Truly appreciated.
Love the Egg Biryani here!!
Decent food, quality could be better.
Very bad service. I placed an order and it took more than an hour to get the food. I called the restaurant 3 times and they said he is on the way.
sat yesterday with a girl and we really liked everything
Ordered Indo Chinese, egg fried rice a couple of times, first time was really good, the second time ordered Rajma masala and Egg fried rice again and the egg fried rice turned out to be super duper sour (probably added too much vinegar), absolutely ruined my lunch meal! Not reliable for takeout I am sorry! This was unbearably sour.. had to trash the egg fried rice. I called them to leave a feedback and they told me they will give me 50% off on a future order. What about the current order that went for a waste ? Bad customer service!!!
Minimum of 45 minutes of waiting during weekdays, not a crowded place. Food is not that great, rice was all dry and crispy. Flavorless goat curry and butter chicken was meh!
Food was overall good and staff was nice and made sure to make sure customers felt comfortable.
One of the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever had. Must try for authentic Indian food. You’ll will definitely not be disappointed.
Great food & good service - recommended !
Been there twice and they should’ve been open according to the hours on the door and They were not
Overall experience is good. Food quality is worth the price, since prices are atleast a dollor less than most places. Fish tikka used to be good they dnt taste same anymore. Chicken items are good. Goat curry is definitely good nd their naan are nice soft and cooked. Some chaat items are really nice and their service is good too. Recommended place for nice punajbi food.
This is a really enjoyable spot. Its very tiny but thats okay overall its well run. Sometimes they have issues with delivery timing expectations which can be frustrating but they stem from a lack of Labor availability during covid. The food is good to very good depending on the day. Theres a decent amount of variance between those two depending on who is cooking it seems. Overall though Id give it four stars. Chicken tikka masala is a good solid chicken tikka masala as we know it here in the states. The samosas are very good. Aloo gobi pretty good to solidly good depending on the day. Garlic naan is very good. I would imagine other food here follows the same trend. Overall very recommended
Absolute nightmare. Ordered through Grubhub. After 90 minutes contacted customer service and they said it will take another 30 mins. This is grossly inappropriate. And other customers complaining about unprofessional attitude are absolutely right
North Indian style descent taste. For south indians it wont match. Good kaesar in the buffet
I placed a Grubhub order at 1pm. It says it would be 70-80 mins. A little longer than expected, but I dealt with it. Says it would deliver 2:25-2:35. At 3:15, still no order & cant reach the restaurant because they close at 2:30! Had to cancel on Grubhub! THE WORST EXPERIENCE FROM A RESTAURANT FOR DELIVERY! Doesnt help that they use Grubhub delivery people only their own!
My favorite Indian spot in this area! The food is freshly made and they are very accommodating if you’re vegan. They can make basically any veggie dish without the dairy. I come here often and am never disappointed.
Food is good but place needs a serious renovation.
If you want to eat good Punjabi food this is the place for you. We have been coming here for years and they never disappoint us. Appetizer to main course and dessert everything is so delicious.
Horrible food with an attitude, the owner is also the chef, who is an arrogant drunk guy who doesnt believe in customer service , ordered chicken tikka masala , the chicken tasted like vintage which was frozen , when I brought it to their notice they argued with me which I have never experienced in any restaurant, the owner came out of the kitchen and started shouting at us !!! I absolutely love Indian food , but this place is by far the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to !!!
A cosy atmosphere perfect for a good family time. You wont be disappointed with the mango ice cream.
Great food, family run business. Service can be a little slow at times but that can be expected due to the attention to detail provided as the food is always freah. Food is always phenomenal and staff is amazing! My go to is chicken chop or lamb chop as appetizer.Butter chicken w/ garlic Naan for dinner.Finished off with warm gulab jamun.
I jus got my order and tasted But food smells like old come on grow up Tadka Restaurant guysAt least serve a fresh Food to your customers
Awesome panjabi dishes ,, our family love it than other reaturant on jersey city , newark ave (indian street)
Excellent Food. Samosa r excellent. Fast service. Must try and must order from this excellent Indian cuisine restaurant
Ordered Samosa, aaloo tikki chaat and daal makhani.Samosas were uncooked one can clearly see the raw flour. there was foul smell in daal and aaloo tikki chaat was pathetic.
I have been to many, many indian restaurants throughout the world and I can very easily say that Tadka is one of the tastiest I have ever been to. The vindaloo in particular is outstanding. The service is friendly, attentive and on point. BYOB which makes it even better. This place is truly a hidden gem.
Wanted to try them out. Ordered a take out dum biryani, manager lady told to come in 20 mins with fake english accent not sure why lol. Anyhow I reached in 15 mins, met the Counter lady, requested my order and she requested to wait 10 more mins. I went back and waited patiently in my car, called them again after 10 mins and asked how much time will it take- she said it will take 10 more mins. I requested her to cancel the order- she put me on hold and said - “please hold- if food is almost ready, it will go waste if you cancel”, I agreed! Overheard that they never started even!! She respectfully cancelled. 2 stars are only for being courteous.Guys- Next time say 40-50 mins or whatever time, be honest! Sorry, never visiting again!
Worst food, tastes really bad and I felt sick immediately after eating it.
Paneer Burji and Nan tasted really good. Will definitely come back for the food.
DISGUSTING, WASTE OF MONEY- I’m 17 and i can make better food yikes. no flavor no quality . For the price, you can get better food any where else . waste of time and money . Employees are rude DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! They know their food isn’t good, they just want money
Almost it took 2 hours for the delivery. I ordered because it’s near by but the delay is too much. Keep my kid starving :(
I liked the location of this place and there were ample parking spots in front of the restaurant. However, the food was just ok.
Had food from here multiple times and the experience varies considerably based on when you go and how you order.1. The experience and food quality is good during dinner while ordering a la carte items. 4/52. The buffer is inexpensive but the quality is food is okay. The spread in the buffet is good for what they charge. 3/53. I order via phone and is generally available for pick up in about 20min. This is my personal favorite. 4/5
Its good. We have to wait a long time for the Nan. Wish food was more authentic and less Americanized.
One of the best Indian restaurants Ive been to in New Jersey. Great food, nice environment, and staff was very friendly. Definitely recommending to family and friends.
The truth is service was terrible but food was amazing i cant complain flavor spice everything was exceptional but again service needs to be improved its like only 2 people working but the food made me overlook all these things .. i went with my boss but she couldnt overlook ... reason why her tip was beyond small she was upset and shes indian .... sigh...
Food was good ,cant complain. Dining was a bit of juggling exercise especially when we were served on a table which was wobbly(perhaps due to uneven floor or due to one of the table legs broken).I wouldnt really care too much about it though.Challenges : While placing the order , we ( 2 families with 4 adults and 3 kids indicated that we may place the order for masala chai towards the end of our main course. By the time my daughter was finishing her food , the owner advises that another group is waiting for the space and she would really appreciate if we could sort of rush up..( hmmm ).Here comes the twist. We asks for the masala chai which we mentioned earlier . The gentleman who served us went to seek his bosses advice and 30 seconds later surprisingly we were advised they dont have masala chai. ( Perhaps the owner forgot she said earlier she can serve masala chai .So we asked for coffee instead and were advised that they ran out of milk( no kidding). What I could sense was , they were getting an order for a minimum $50 from the group waiting outside , so what benefit would be there in serving $10 masala chai.
Surprised to see it running years after yearsSpicy to them means red chili powder . Omg, horrible dal tadka. It’s an insult. Gave it a few chances, but not worth it.
Great food each time weve been there..authentic punjabi food...the flavors are amazing..we recommended it everyone
I usually like food here. But the service can definitely improve.Today, we were told that there will not be any Nan to cater to a bigger party. How do they run an Indian restaurant ill-prepared like this is beyond me.
Worst Indian buffet i have ever had. Empty vessels with no food placed on buffet table with super rude staff who have no interest in refilling them despite repeated requests.Cold naan and tasteless chicken curry . Will never ever visit again.
Why do we go to a restaurant, just for food or for the experience! This place serves good tasty food. Staff is courteous and polite. But service is slow and in some way they are even proud of the delayed service.Writing this based on my experience of visiting and ordering from Tadka over 10 times in the last 4-5 months. If food is the only reason one visits a restaurant then I’m sure we can all find equally good street food vendors elsewhere.Place online order for Tadka to be delivered and enjoyed at home. Save yourself the slow service and bad-satisfactory experience.
What do people complain here? Yes they are slow to deliver but thats because they are busy! Yes if they tell you 30 minutes for pick up prepare for 50-60 minutes, but this is India time :)I love their food and I am regular customer for years now.
Chicken Noodles is excellent which made me remember the Nanking restaurant in Hyderabad. However, Chicken Birayani is no where near... nor tasts nor smells like Biryani..... Birayani is like having tomato curry with chicken.....if you consider your not eating Birayani then it tastes ok."ok"
I absolutely love this place! The owner is always polite to me every time I go and the food is amazing.
Delicious kaju khoya gravy. Chicken biryani on point with a tasty raitu on the side. Bread basket was plenty and yummy. We had to wait a bit for the order but it sure was worth it(rainy day lots of orders for delivery. Portions are healthy and can accommodate more than three people per dish. The place is cozy and a hole in wall which definitely makes it worth checking out.
Okay... but seems not value for money. Based on : I had assorted aperizer the chicken and fish tikka were off. The vegies pakora , tikki and samosa were fine. For 9$ would have expected better servings.
I have come many times because not only I love indian food but this the only restaurant in the area with this kind of food I can go to. However I dont see yet any improvement to the decoration to this place. At this point still the floor looks very old and dirty. I already forget how long the floor has been in that condition. This time I didnt go the bath room. Good for me!.I score this place with 4 stars because the food is good. I hope they care about this issues as soon as possible.
