Music was awesome, drinks were good. Just wish they had a dance floor space because it made us want to dance but there really wasnt room for it 😅

Small little hole in the wall style place. But as the story goes... Those are always the best places, and this is no exception. My wife and I shared a pork mufongo, which was very flavorful, sauce was amazing. We also shared the sampler, I loved the chicken, my wife loves the steak and plantains (I did too). Staff was friendly and inviting . We will most definitely be back.

My first time here and I really liked my food

I ordered the Fried Red Snapper with White Rice & Red Beans…. Omg!!! It was soooooo good. I’m a food critic & a chef. I must say the snapper was seasoned & fried to perfection. It satisfied my hunger. I will definitely order from here again!!!

It was a bit cold as if their AC was stuck at warm weather the chicken with garlic was tasty & the shrimp was succulent in the garlic sauce

Although this little gem has been here for a few years this is my first time here. I did go to dance and enjoy the night life here,but to enjoy a meal and meal is exactly what I enjoyed. I had the surf&turf and it was incredible 😍. Your chef/cook deserves a huge hug, kiss, but not from me lol and firm hand shake. The way he/she brought together the herbs and spices tell me he/she loves ❤ what they do and it passes on into the food. Im sorry to say I have no pics this time of my food or the inside of the establishment but Im going back to have a go at it. Hummmmm what will I try next???? Until time ✌.

First time ordering from here as I was in the mood for some Spanish cuisine and I have to say the food was spectacular. Will definitely be ordering from this place again!

Very nice location, the food was super good well seasoned and great amount. The service was also good, everyone’s super attentive. Drinks are nice and strong as well. Definitely a good place to have a nice family dinner if your around the area. Looking forward to coming back.

We found this place by accident.. What a Glorious find.. The ambiance (lighting, music, welcoming smileswas awesome.. This is a keeper.. I wish they had frequent flyer miles 😆, because we will be back.. Oh yeah, the food (flavor, scent and presentationwas beyond our expectations & thats tough to do.. Their drinks were tasty too..

The food here is exceptional. My bartender Katherine gave me a great recommendation for my late afternoon meal. This is a great palace to frequent here in Coram.

Here some tips for going to this place based off of my experience. I have been here about 3 times during the late evening. To each it’s own! Cheers!-Prepare to pay a huge tip, whether your service is bad or not. Whether it’s 1 or 5 people, you must pay the tip. It is literally mandatory. Check your receipt!-Young crowd came in about 9pm. There was an issue with them. It was contained in the restaurant but when I went to my car, I saw a bunch of them outside having some kind of beef. They were yelling p*ssy. It was entertaining to say the least.-If you do not like loud music in your ear to the point you are feeling a thump in your chest, then this may be a huge culture shock for you because Dominicans love to blast hispanic rap on the speakers, late night. Don’t say I did not warn you.-The Hookah area is small, congested and not fun. Please find a real hookah lounge if you want to entertain that. This is not a real Hookah Lounge.-The alcoholic drinks were extremely sweet and the bartender who was the very dark skin girl(had to give description because not all bartenders are terrible so give it a try), did not know what she was doing with those drinks. But let’s give her the benefit of the doubt.-People have serious staring problems here. It makes you feel very uncomfortable. It’s like everyone goes there to look for a relationship at night. Haha, this is just my little input but it was nice to see couples in there as well.-The food was a 8.5 out of 10 but to be transparent, I definitely have had better. Try the Mofongo.Do what you will with this information

My experience started off well, the food was bad, a solid 8.5. I ordered the Red Snapper and my lady ordered the Ribs. As usual we shared and the portions was perfect! Ordered drinks and they were okay, 7.5. The server was a younger kid and looked very new at his job so he deserved his tip. BUT an 18% charge just because... Nahhh, thats disgusting. Im never coming back bc thats blatantly WRONG.

Love this place and I am so glad it’s back!! I have been to many different restaurants since they were closed & none of them came close to the flavor of Taino’s. Not only is the food amazing but the people who work there are awesome. My sister dropped her wallet in the parking lot with a decent amount of cash in it. She called and was able to pick it up the very next day with everything in it. Thank you Taino’s. Welcome back. God is good. See you soon!!

We ordered from here this evening. The food was fantastic. The Taino skirt steak was soooo flavorful. The beans were addictive. The shrimp and rice was also really good. It had this bright flavor to it. We will definitely be regulars here.

My husband and I went here today after reading mixed reviews so we decided to judge for ourselves. We went during lunch and the place was empty. Our waitress Kimberly was super sweet. I had the most delicious Mango Mojito. The baby shrimo fongo was the BEST!! FLAVORS were on point, it wasnt salty or overbearing it was just right. The chicharon de Pollo was amazing as was the rice and beans. My husband was very happy with his meal he had the breaded cutlets which were made to perfection and also had a hint of lemon. The music was perfect Latin music loud enough to hear and low enough to have a conversation. Overall this spot is now our favorite! If you are in Coram, NY and want authentic latin Dominican food this is the spot. They have parking as well. A side note, the area is a little shady BUT the food and atmosphere along with a great staff makes up for it. We will definitely come back. Gracias Taino!!

The food is outstanding!!!. Everything from the appetizers to the main entrée was absolutely perfect. If you want authentic Dominican/carribbean food, I highly recommend this place. They have great music, awesome service, and professional staff. What makes the experience more enjoyable is that the owner is down to earth and inviting.

I never been to a Spanish restaurant were the food wasn’t seasoned. The yellow rice was hard, beans was good, my steak was rubbery. The wine horrible, I had to get a soda. The waitress was not attentive, idk the whole vibe was just off.

This place was decent, however they have messed up my pick up orders twice. Tonight I ordered two orders of salmon. When i went to picked up, they only had 1 order, plus the sauce was all over the bag. Salmon was not cooked thoroughly. The first time they gave rice instead of tostones. Dont waste your money here. The girl answering the phone has no idea what she is doing.

Love this place. Went there for Mothers Day. The Guacamole with me fresh and was delicious. I ordered the shrimp with garlic! Also delicious! I will be back! They also have open mic night every 1st and last Thursday of the month..

the food is ok but the volume of the music is too loud. Instead of a family restaurant, it feels more like a club, you can hardly speak to the person next to you.On the web it says that in groups of 6 or more they charge you an 18% tip but 18% is automatically charged without asking, it does not matter if it is a person or if they give good or bad service.

The atmosphere was great. Food was fresh and Amazing. The staff was attentive and very nice. I got the mofongo de pollo and it was the best I have ever had, besides my Abuelitas. I highly recommend this restaurant. Best Mothers Day ever!!!

I really want to give this place a good review. Upon arriving to the restaurant, it looked nice. I arrived on a Friday evening, I wasn’t expecting it to be a party atmosphere with loud music, but I didn’t mind and ended up enjoying the music. Since it was rather busy, I sat at the bar with my friend, hoping it would facilitate service. Immediately I smelt a ton of smoke, as the smoking area is right outside the door next to the bar, and I left smelling like a cigarette and I don’t smoke. I sat at the bar for 30 minutes before being greeted. Men who came in way after me, stood right next to me and we’re greeted immediately. It was as though they didn’t even notice I had sat down (in my opinion it was because I was a woman). The gentleman next to me had to order for me, bc no matter how hard I tried to get noticed, it wasn’t happening. I had to flag her down for a menu, which I wouldn’t mind if she was busy with customers, but she had plenty of time to text, just not to take my order. By the time I got a menu, it was a little after 10pm and keep in mind they close at 11:00. I ordered the plantain appetizer with meat and cheese. The menu didn’t say it was smothered in sauce, yet it was drenched in the sauce and I wasn’t able to taste much of anything other then the sauce it was in. By the time I got the app, it was 10:48 as well, which left me no time to order an entree as the bartender never came back to me after my appetizer order was taken or to even ask if the appetizer was okay. Since I didn’t get to order the mofongo meal as I wanted to and didn’t have enough time, I can’t give any extra stars for food. Unfortunately I have to go off the appetizer I had, and the service which was clearly terrible. There’s no excuse to ignore customers completely as if they don’t exist, yet be on your phone texting for good chunks of time. Like I said, if someone is genuinely busy, I’ll make allowances, but that is absurd. I hear the food is good, but I don’t think I’ll be back since my first impression was so terrible. The manager should stop in by surprise on a Friday night and see it for themself.

Funny I just read the review of the guy before me. I went last night, I had the worst experience. This is the 2nd time Ive gone so I was looking forward to it. 1st time was earlier this year maybe Jan/ Feb. 1st time food and service were good. This time, the service was terrible. Similar experience to those on here that complained about the service, not 1 waitress came to my table after my being seated for 20/30 mins. By this time I was furious, I mentioned something to the waitress that came, that I was sitting here 30 mins before she showed. You would think that theyd step up the service after a customer expressed his displeasure. However, i ordered soup and drinks for my wife and I, food came relatively quickly and the soup was good however again, a waitress never came back to my table for another 20/30 mins. Unacceptable. I ordered a steak to go and that was it. I also left a small tip... I always tip extra but not here, they didnt deserve it. Its covid ppl, every restaurant is at a portion of its capacity wake up. The more customers you lose the harder it is to stay in business, I guess thats not high on their list of importance. Ill never return.

This restaurant was extremely clean. Down to the bathroom! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and worth every penny! Hookah was on point and and the music was live! The manager was very friendly and overall a good time! They offer take out during this time and it is highly recommended you will not be disappointed visiting this establishment...

My servers were terrible. I don’t speak Spanish so I spoke to a lady that only spoke Spanish and she dismissed me and told me she would send the other server to me. That never happened. Also I asked for hookah but they said the hookah guy wasn’t there but I saw people getting hookahs sent to their table so I asked again and they said Oh okay. I ordered shots of patron waited 10-15 mins for them and they were half the size of a shot, literally baby shots in tiny plastic cups. The music is good and the food is good as well. Service is a big deal for me cause I’m a big tipper, so I left $5 when I would usually leave much much more. I’ll try i it again if I get better results.

Highly recommended! Great food but definitely the best thing to try is their Mofongos here you get the options to have your mofongo made in 3 different styles and you have the option of whatever meat to go with! My favorite is the traditional style with Shrimp in garlic sauce! They also have many other plates another must try its the Goat!

We were out running errands and stopped in because there isnt much in this area. We were pleasantly surprised. Fresh, clean decor. Fresh, warm salsa with chips served when seated. Skirt steak w rice and beans was outstanding. Diet starts tomorrow. Lol.

I’ve never had a bad food experience fromTaino’s but recently I had a bad DoorDash experience. When I called the restaurant to figure out what happened, they rectified the situation, even though it wasn’t their fault. I just wanted to say thank you to the manager and the staff for being so understanding with me. Thank you for your great food and great service! Definitely a restaurant worth eating from!

Google suggested this place for me and without much thinking I went with my husband because the pictures of the menu looked so delicious and it had good reviews....well...I went last Saturday afternoon...I was pleasantly surprised to see the outside and inside of the reastaurant...very nice and clean...we were greeted by the hostess and seated immediately...we were served chips and salsa and the waiter brought iced water without us having to ask...the menu has a nice variety of puertorrican, dominican and latin american dishes...my husband ordered the Taino trifongo (which is a mixture of green plantain mofongo with sweet plaintains and yucawith shrimp, crabmeat, clams, and other seafood....it was absolutely delicious!! I ordered the tostones with shrimp with melted mozzarella sauce (in the appetizers section)...it was to die for!!! I also ordered beef empanadas...they were good too...Both..my husband and I loved the food...it was fresh....the presentation was nice...the prices were competitive...the music had the right volume and it was a nice variety of bachata, salsa, merengue and other latin hits...we were very pleased with the level of attention...the ambiance was very pleasing...the ladies restroom was very clean too....there were two large screen TVs in the dining room area playing sports...the bar was big...we ordered a bahama mama and a mango margarita and they were very delicious too and the prices were right...we did not go during happy hour...but my husband and I absolutely loved this place and we are definitely coming back soon...
