Very nice hiking trail.
Always love thus preserve. Today the woodpeckers were chatting and interacting and the snails were moving on the trail. Lovely morning!
Great place for a quick trail walk with the girls!
Nice short trail with a couple of hills. It takes about 30 minutes to the loop. You get a nice scenic look over the river before going down a hill.
0 stars the place very is a disaster area
One of my favorite places to hike around Huntington. Wear good hiking boots. There are some steep hills to navigate through but youll love it!! Look for the Bald Eagles!!
If you dont want a narrow path I.e. no more than 6 in. on either side, and are afraid of spiders and spider webs this is not for you. However if you like a good hike it can be done in a short amount of time 15 minutes, and it will get your heart rate up (youre burning minimum of a hundred calories depending on your pace)!
The typical ACRES experience: Lovely.
We visited on a nice winter day. Im glad I didnt take my 2 year old, as the trail down to the river side is quite steep and not level. My 4 year old and his 7 year old friend had no problems. The hike around the property was worth it. I think winter is a particularly good time to visit, as visibility is good.
Very nice trail
The “stairs” are horrible and very steep. But otherwise the place is nice and easy to navigate. My daughter was not a fan at all because of the steps and spiders everywhere. Typical kid. But the steps are not safe at all.
The trails are easy to navigate. Lots of snails and flowers.
Beautiful trail through woods on the bank of the Wabash River. One path has a fairly steep decline and rise from a ridge down to the river bank. There are steps but may be difficult for folks with limited mobility.
Short hike that takes about 30 min. Moderate difficulty. Not very scenic but does parallel the river.
Beautiful trails in the winter. Saw three eagles.
Tel-Hy Nature Preserve has several miles of hiking trails that run along the Wabash River near Huntington, In. Most of the trails are in great shape except for those leading down to the river; where fallen trees from recent storms have made some trails impassable.
Its so pretty here-- its a very nice place to hike!
