Texas Roadhouse in Utah County

Very disappointed with service.When I entered the restaurant I specifically asked if they do birthdays. They said they do and asked me to inform the server. I showed the server id of my husband and daughter and that we are celebrating both their birthdays. At mid way eating she came over and said they ran out ice cream and gave us a free appetizer card for next visit.So I went to talk to the manager that the reason we dine there is to celebrate birthday if they don’t have ice cream then can they replace a slice of cake. I don’t want free appetizer card that defeats the purpose. The manager wasn’t friendly and said I have to purchase the slice of cake. That’s not the point I can afford to pay a slice of cake. The point is ruining a celebration at the end of dinner. I told her I would dine at other places if I had known they don’t offer alternative to celebrate birthdays when their ice cream is out and if she had apologizes for running out of ice cream and giving me wrong expectations instead of that nasty look. So after dinner at almost 8pm where am I to go buy a cake to celebrate.Moreover we haven’t finished eating and yet the server came over asked if we need boxes and that she will get the Cheque but we can take our time to eat ! But she is hardly around when we need refills for drinks.The food was mediocre, pork chop was tough my husband couldn’t finish it, the ribeye was cooked more than medium rare, my rice and shrimp and the sides of mash was too salty. We couldn’t The onion rings was the star.My husband being kind still give them a good tip but no more next time.

The food was amazing, we had steak, chicken and ribs. All were spot on! The server was awesome, but it was a bit slow. We did score an extra basket of rolls though!

The to-go is a mess. The last couple times I’ve ordered they’ve messed sides up. As a former waitress I know how annoying people can be so I just dealt with it. But in the four times we’ve ordered in the last 6 months they have yet to get an order right.Tonight the food was sloppy. Instead of giving us the sides we requested they gave us three mashed potatoes with gravy. But the gravy had leaked all over the box. The breading on the country fried steak was almost completely off and it was cold. Which is frustrating because I sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes waiting for them to tell me it was done.They left off the drink as well. I just really frustrated with their to go Next time I will just be going down the street and getting Chili’s

GREAT LEADERSHIP - What could have gone sideways after a 30-minute table wait, turned out to be an incredible example of great leadership from the team members up to the owner. Weve heard how poorly waiters (and other industriescan be treated when something goes wrong. Its amazing what can happen when we give people a chance to show up. The food was GREAT, the way they are training their teams here in Orem benefit the patrons, but will help them in their futures too. So impressed with how they handled the situation. Food-5 stars, Service-5 stars, Courtesy-5 stars, Leadership-7 stars. Highly recommend.

The food was very good! They were very busy and our daughters kids meal came with out a spoon because they were all dirty. It finally came after everyone else was almost done. The meal was applesauce and Mac and cheese so it was hard to eat with out a spoon.

We had Mitchel as a waitress and she seriously was the best ever!! Super helpful, so funny, and always there if we needed anything! She legit made our night!

We went here tonight because it was my birthday and steak sounded delicious. We came on a Wednesday at 7:30 PM and it’s still busy and loud but that’s what you expect from Texas Roadhouse. I ordered the chili and loaded steak fries with the 23 oz Porterhouse T bone. All of the food was amazing. Every time I have gone to a Texas Roadhouse I always get an amazing charred well done finish on my steak which I’m looking for. Needless to say TX Roadhouse Orem absolutely delivered on everything. Customer service despite it being busy was still top notch and the food was fantastic and I’d absolutely recommend this place for all ages. I will unquestionably come back here again.

The steak is seasoned well, however, the chefs always cook my steaks uneven. I always order rare or medium-rare and it comes out rare(and sometimes blueon one side and medium-well on the other side on the same steak. They also only sear one side of my steaks and just grey the other side. This result has been nearly 100% consistent over the last few years.In short, the seasoning is good, but the cook on the steaks is sub-par for sure. I truly believe the average person can get an even cook throughout a steak even better than these guys at home.If you are a steak person like I am, outback almost always gets it right.

Soup chili is great, Porterhouse T-bone steak not bad, rice just a little warm and overcooked, came cold at the end my dinner, beer good.

One of our favorite places to go as a family. Great Kids meal selections, and great variety on the main menu as well. Great steaks, but I also enjoy a bunch of their chicken options. Our kids often just bring their meal home for later because they fill up on the delicious rolls!Ambiance is a bit on the loud side, which is usually great for not feeling like our family is too loud for those around us. Sometimes the music is cranked up a little too much to where its hard to hear the people youre with, but I feel like thats usually a little later in the evening, so usually avoidable, if desired.

Another fantastic TRH location, a well-oiled machine! Those rolls and cinnamon honey butter do not disappoint, and the menu has something for everyone. Service and staff are top-notch. The wait time was 10 minutes, which was surprising considering how slammed it was on a regular Thursday night. Great place for families with younger kids. Menu is robust, food is excellent.

Went there with my elderly parents and 9 year old granddaughter. We waited 35 minutes for the waitress, my sirloin was tender and delicious, the loaded baked potatoes were under baked and not "loaded" AND one bite into a roll my mom pulled a 10 inch hair from her mouth!!!! GROSS. (I informed our waitressAlso, the chicken Ceasar salad was minus the chicken. We reluctantly proceeded to eat with caution.The music was so @!#*&% loud which made it impossible to have a conversation or truly enjoy our meal. After asking the waitress if the music could be turned down I was told no. She explained the music is purposely loud so they can get customers out and in fast, GREED. It worked. We couldnt wait to get out of there. I forgot to have them remove the incorrect charge for a chicken Ceasar salad on our $97 bill. Nor did I know at the time that they forgot to include the side dishes with the meal I ordered to go. Ugh! We left frustrated, unhappy and hungry. Never going back.

Theyre signature items are super tasty and very well priced. First time I got some ribs. They were good but nothing special. I came another time with a friend and got their blooming onion and road kill steak. 10/10. Wait staff was really chill on a Tuesday night.

This particular location, Way too noisy, worse than any fast food locations, too busy as if its the best around town, and full of commotion. Waiter has to yell so we can hear and so does my family to place an order. Salads always come out weirdly put together & incorrect of any special or specific requests. It is nice when the steaks are cooked correctly but usually come out wrong or cooled due to servers lack of attention or just not capable of handling to many tables. But, I see Lots of employees standing around while other employees busting their tail end. Food was ok but not great. Have been to Texas Road house in other states. Which has always been a completely different (better), experience. ( food, volume of music, service). Utah locations all the same. Less than average flavor, way too noisy, music, line dancing,etc...as if its a party with drinking and total social meet, night club, but no real party going on. No real bar, not a dinner dance club & Employees act as if a cocktail is something they have absolutely no or very limited experience with, other than how to dictate UT drinking laws. I like to go out to restaurants for delicious food, peaceful conversations, an occasional dinner drink, and a nice family dinner. Utah definitely needs more steak house restaurants. Bring on more competition

Ordered the Porterhouse T-bone Medium rare, the steak was tasteless, raw and very chewy, to be the most expensive item on their menu was just horrible.Eventhough we waited 35 min to be seated the service was just as bad as the steak.

Friendly, efficient service. The food was great and always appreciate the free delicious rolls.

Our experience was really great! Our server, Kersee, was incredible!! She was so positive, attentive, and personable. Our food came out quickly and tasted great. I appreciated all her efforts to make our evening go smoothly!

My family and I recently ate there. There were 15 of us. We were shown toward tables. We ordered our food. Then the manager came over and scolded us for taking three tables. I explained to him that we had followed the servers and we were sitting where they had indicated. That meant nothing to him, he continued to chew us out. My daughter who has been a server asked for another chat with the manager and he would not change his position. We were innocent in the whole episode. We simply followed the servers. The food was delicious and our servers were great. But the managers behavior in a service industry was a disaster. This was in the Spanish Fork location.

Made the best decision of my life the other night. While waiting in the In N Out line for over a half hour and wasn’t even to the speaker yet, I decided to try and order take out from TR instead. They were a half hour from closing so I hurried. I ordered 2 14oz ribeyes and drove over to wait. Was told my order would be ready at 10:57, 3 minutes before they closed. The food was cooked perfectly and they threw in plenty of rolls and honey butter. Times like these I wonder why I don’t do this more often. Why wait in a drive thru line for an hour when you can get REAL food! I vote for more steak houses and less garbage food. Just wanted to give a shout out to you guys! Thanks for the delicious steak!

We normally love coming to Texas Roadhouse but tonight was disappointing. Our waitress was very abrupt and rolled her eyes while waiting for us to order. Before we were seated my husband and I walked around a corner and almost ran into her, and as we apologized she said nothing and gave us a very rude look. My husband asked for the military discount multiple times with his ID and it was not given. Our food came out very late and the appetizer came out at the same time as our meals. We normally really love roadhouse but the service at this location was very disappointing.

Our medical office ordered online. I picked up the order and got all the way back to work and all that was in the bag was fries, a salad, and rolls. The rest of our lunch was not there. There was no way for us to go back. Texas Roadhouse offered no solution except a refund, which I asked for. No, "hey come in and well give you lunch for free", or "we can bring that to you".

The food was delicious and the smothered chicken, I only ordered it to see if it was going to be juicy and it surpassed my thoughts. Food was served in less than 5 mins. Place was packed n vibes were good. Servers were friendly.

Food was great quality for the price, especially considering we took advantage of the early bird special. The steak was cooked perfectly to a melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness, with so much flavor we didnt need sauce. Our waiter was incredibly quick and attentive, ready with recommendations and kept the amazing bread rolls coming. Overall, great food and great service!

Had one of the best servers I have ever had super attentive never had to wait for anything that was in her control. Food was good quality and the ribs are in fact fall off the bone. We also had fried pickles and a cactus blossom. Both were very good.

Every time Ive been here, the servers are always friendly and helpful. The rolls of course are delicious, you could easily fill up on them and just take your meal to go 😂 but the food off the menu is also great taste and quality as best as I can tell. Volume is a little bad but its a sports grill and popular place, so of course it will be noisy.

Texas Roadhouse is my favorite restaurant to go to in the area. The dinner rolls are too good, the meat and sides I get are always on point and weve always had good service at TRH. This place has a good and fun atmosphere to it... just make sure you plan ahead as it gets busy

My wife ordered a medium well, they gave her a very pink steak. We asked them to correct it… the photo shows what she got the second time! After a chance to correct. That and generally slow and poor service from the server, a bad night out sadly.

They have the best prime rib. Staff works extremely fast and make sure that you never have an empty glass in front of you. They’re constantly trying to figure out how to best serve you and we can’t forget about the delicious cinnamon butter and rolls that they serve. We’d be willing to come here just for those rolls alone but their steaks are too good to pass up.

Today June 11th, 2022 me and my friend went to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Orem.Apart from poor service, dirty toilets and sticky floor, the food was our main concern.The fries , veggie and mash potatoes in particular were served extremely salty, to the point that it tasted unhealthy !!The ribs were edible but were served also pretty burned.We asked for another mash potatoes dish and that came even more saltier.Then we asked to speak to the Manager to give our feedback and maybe tell the cook to go lighter on salt.The Manager didn’t acknowledge our concerns, didn’t apologize and said that quoting “actually we add more salt on the fries normally, and next time we should ask the waiter to serve the food with less salt” … and then that he will provide our feedback to the cook/kitchenPretty dissatisfied and disappointed with Texas Roadhouse.Don’t recommend it! Food and service were terrible!

Texas Roadhouse makes some delicious food and the service is fast and friendly.The only downside is that the Orem location is so popular youll likely need to wait an hour to get in. If you download the Texas Roadhouse app you can tell them youre coming and it will tell you how long until your table is ready (about an hour in my experience).Dont let the long wait deter you, just plan ahead.

It was a longish wait, (about an hour and 15 min on a Saturday nightbut the wait was worth it. The bread + cinnamon butter, a classic combo, was very good. The sides were quality, I got the half rack of ribs and they were very tender and charred just the right amount. My wife got the shrimp and she really liked it, although she wasn’t too fond of her rice and green beans (she said the rice was too crunchy). Our waitress was refreshingly honest and charming, and the other staff were friendly despite things being very busy tonight. Overall, great time at Texas Roadhouse!

Ive never felt so rushed at a restaurant in my life! We were on the wait-list for over an hour before our table was ready. Our waitress was Lexi. We ordered drinks and an appetizer while we waited for one last member of our party to arrive. We had only been seated about 5 minutes, when the waitress told us we needed to order for us and the final member of our party because we had already been seated and they couldnt wait any longer. Luckily, our last party member arrived as she was telling us this. She immediately asked if we were now ready to order and we informed her we would need a few minutes to look at the menu (i have a hard time making decisions quickly at restaurants, so it is not unusual for us to need to look at a menu for 10 minutes or so before making up my mind). Throughout the evening, everytime the waitress came over, she was extremely curt, made us feel rushed, and did not make us feel welcome or comfortable. We received our food (from a VERY lovely gentleman, Joshuaand it was not more than 6 minutes before she put our check on the table. She never asked if we wanted dessert (we were celebrating my sister in laws birthday!and asked if we needed any to-go boxes while we were still in the middle of eating. I go to restaurants when I want to relax, enjoy being around friends, and have a nice evening out! This experience was a total disappointment and Im not sure Ill ever be back.

Nice place to bring your family in, waiters are the best, the meat are always better then I expect it to be. So happy to have great service in a fair price.

We had a great experience! Our steaks and chicken were cooked perfectly and everything was hot. Our waitress brought the rolls out very quickly and everything tasted really good. Was clean and they did not rush us even though we got there near closing time

My husband and I love coming to this location! Everything is always super good and the staff is so friendly! Today I ordered a steak medium and it came out well done and when the waitress came to check on how we were, I didn’t have to say anything she just looked at the steak and said “oh my gosh! That’s a well done steak! You wanted medium right? Let me get you one that’s cooked right!” When she came back, it was perfect and then we laughed over how well done it was. Our waitress tonight was the best and I wish I remembered her name!

This is one of the better locations I’ve been too. We have always gotten seated really quick. The service is always quick. The last time we were here we had the best waitress. I just wish I could remember what her name was. I love this location.

Update - food is still great. Always order the 16oz Ribeye. But this waiting 20-30 minutes while there is empty tables is a bit ridiculous.I don’t mind - full party has to be present. But we passed by almost a dozen empty tables to our seat. Why is the wait so long? Typically - this is the best place for food that we we were looking for: Steak, Ribs, and chicken. I ordered the 10oz Ribeye and Ribs combo. Ribeye came out dry but I still ate it- hoping the ribs would make up for it. Instead - the ribs not only came out 15 mins after, it came out dry and burnt. The steak my colleague ordered was dry and tasteless. Only reason it’s getting a 3 star is because the waiter was great. Refilled our drinks as we waited, provided updates to the Rib, and gave us extra rolls (party of 4).

Sorry for that pic but I forgot to take a nice one! I LOVE this steakhouse! I rate the food with a 10/10, so delicious. Definitely planning to come back!

At multiple locations, Texas Roadhouse is 0 for 3 on properly cooking my steak. I guess Medium is the most difficult ask. The rolls never let me down though.

This is the 3rd week where this specific location has messed up our order. We always order the same items. I get my steak medium rare, and they either overcook it or underseason it. The first few times they started messing up I let it fly and played it cool as I waited 15 - 30 mins for a new steak. But now it happens on a weekly basis. Totally unacceptable.I asked for a manager and the best she could do was to offer a small discount. Reason being? I take a couple of bites to make sure Im not being a "Karen" and that it wasnt just the borders that were overcooked...Now, a couple of weeks later, this happened again to my wifes steak and mine. Ann wrote off the check but I dont care. Is it too much to ask for a proper sit down meal where our order is just right? Frankly, I couldnt care less about the money, just dont waste our family time. Wait times are long already as it is and we have a two-year-old and she gets restless after 30 minutes. Now Imagine having to wait another 30-minutes to re-do our steaks. Get it together. This place is a joke now in terms of service and food. Small items such as Mac & Cheese and other sides such as buttered corn are always out during the weekend.Hire a different manager. Someone that cares and will do more than offer to discount an item. Sure, giving people a discount might be cool the first few times but it gets old quickly. We want good food and good service. Unless you find a way to refund us for the wasted time I honestly dont care. Roll back the clock to a year ago when you actually cared. Photo of the dry rubber steaks you now serve at this location. Go relearn the degree of doneness when it comes to beef, you are pretty much serving beef jerky at this location.

I’ve always had a good experience at this location and at Texas Roadhouse in general. This past weekend was my favorite experience so far. Our waitress, Cheyanne, was excellent and the food was amazing as always. I typically get the sirloin, but I branched out and got the Porterhouse t-bone and I tell you what, that was the best steak I’ve ever had!

The whole meal was fantastic! From the rolls a la cinnamon butter to the juicy ribeye and ribs everything was delicious. We love Texas Roadhouse! 🇨🇱

I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures of everything except the appetizer, which is always delicious. Im in love with the chili here and the steaks are nicely done. I tried their baked sweet potato this visit and WOW! If you put their honey butter (we added extraon the baked sweet potato it turns into a wonderful dessert! I swear if theyd have thrown a couple pecans in there it would have tasted just like a sweet potato pie.

Always amazing service and they know how to BBQ! I ran a marathon and my self-rewarded-prize was a full rack of ribs from here, it was so good! I love how much food you get for such a great price! Our whole table was full of food! Plus the western atmosphere just makes it all worth while! Cant get enough of this place! Always coming back for the fresh rolls!

Im not sure what their standard is but for a steakhouse they cooked my steak 2 levels past what I asked for. Apparently this is rare/medium rare (see photos). Our party was pulling in the lot and they refused to seat us until all were in the entryway physically standing there and even then they made us wait for a good ten minutes. I thought there was a pandemic, i didnt know it was ok to have 30 people standing inside or outside the door for 10-15 minutes at a time, regardless of the pandemic its unprofessional. Sauteed mushrooms were underdone and dry. Steak was overdone and dry. Really low quality stuff. I had a new york strip and there was barely any fat on the side and Id guess the marbling was almost non-existent any decent cook would have thrown it in the trash or given it to the dog. Mashed potatoes were cold. But I guess the caesar salad was the one thing they did right and we didnt have a very long wait on our appetizer or main course. All in all I wont come here ever again but maybe other people arent as picky as I am when paying 25-35$ a plate...

There’s a reason there’s a huge line to get in and a long waitlist, it’s because this place rocks! The service is friendly and attentive, and the food as absolutely delicious! The steak itself, just the regular 10oz USDA steak, was so good that it didn’t even need steak sauce. And I’m a pretty picky meat eater when it comes to meat. Everything was hot and enjoyable, all the way down to the rolls. We will definitely back, hungry for more.
