TGI Fridays in Effingham County

Ordered boneless chicken, hard as a rock. Coleslaw was tasteless. Waiter was slow even though most of his area was empty. Ive had much better meals here but not that night.

Servers were great, fast, accommodating. Very good dinner. Thank you!

The whiskey burger is so good Im speechless. They nailed it also the raspberry sweet tea, so good wow.

Im definitely not trying to bash this restaurant I just think its overrated. I think theyre quite a few times because of spreading choices around I guess. I just never had the wow factor like thats really good on anything and Ive tried several things. A couple nights later we went to Red lobster and of course spent a lot of money but it was worth it. I guess I just dont find a restaurant too classy when they have a bar with people getting drunk in the middle of the day and getting loud and have gambling machines. I didnt feel the family atmosphere vibe at all. Waitress was super sweet and attentive but a little forgetful because too much was on her plate. Definitely not her fault. Lucky to have her

Usually good food and service. Last time I got Bucket of Bones and the wings tasted like they was cooked earlier that day.

Mozzarella sticks were best ever . Bfriend had JD grilled chicken, smashed potatoes and rice. Loved it. I took Cobb salad to go. Great service.

The only reason it even gets a star is cause my Waitress Amanda was fantastic... Everything else went very badly. My boy friend didnt eat his entree because it was badly underseasoned (chicken and shrimp Cajun Alfredohe was lucky. I got the million dollar Cobb with salmon.. There was a off flavor which i thought was because the blue cheese was just a strong strain.. I was wrong... I get 10 feet out abd puke my bloody brains out.. I puke and puke for at least ten minutes.. When my boy friend spoke tp the manager all she had to say was, "no one else has complained." She didnt seem to care that she had a serious problem and we were trying to educate.

The food is always cooked to perfection, the menu has shrunk a little bit since Covid but the selections are still very good and there is something for everyone.The cocktails are very good too, the perfect place to either grab a quick lunch, dinner, or have a meeting because they do have a back table thats a little quieter and more private. They usually always have music going that you can jam to while munching away. The staff is always friendly although we never see the same person often, we always tip well because our service is always good, they even will open the doors for you which is a service no one does anymore, makes you feel like a true dining experience.The desserts are delicious and rich in flavor and texture although the appetizers and your main course are enough to keep you full for a long time. Make sure to tip your waitress/waiter!

Ryan was our server and he was great. Our drinks stayed full and he was super helpful with recommendations on what to try.

Food was good but the Sangria was the worse Sangria I have ever had.

Update 6-23-22 Glad we were not thirsty our cups went empty for our meal. And they were not even busy just standing around and talking.. My food was good and hot Cora is an amazing waitress. She never allowed our drinks to even get close to running out and the manager that was on duty made sure the food was up to our satisfaction. I even seen him comp a couples food because the chicken was a little on the undone side. Wonderful inviting atmosphere. Will be going back.

Our latest visit to our favorite barside table rekindled nostalgic times of stupendous service and comfortably delicious dishes. Talented, experienced staff such as Ryan and Toddy make Effinghams Fridays one of the best dining deals for miles around.

Awesome service, amazing food, little more expensive than we usually spend to eat out but totally worth it.

Food was okay, the ribs were great, but the steak was like rubber, they did take it off my bill, but it was the worst steak I have ever had, I tried to bites and didnt touch it.

The food was delicious. The wait staff were very unprofessional. We were nearly the only ppl in the restaurant but were seated right outside the kitchen where the wait staff and kitchen help stood talking about things we did not need to hear about. We had to wait nearly half hour after finishing to get a box and check due to the staffs conversation, which was apparently more important than the customer.

They sat us promptly. Bathrooms and restaurant were clean. I ordered the chicken and shrimp Cajun pasta and it was very good. Had a nice little kick to it and they give you a generous amount of chicken and shrimp with plenty leftover for lunch the next day.

When we 1st walked in the hostess asked if we would like a table we all said no not really we prefer booths and she made a snotty comment rolled her eyes and said no booths are available but seated us at a booth anyways.... The dining area was freezing.. The food was hot and tasted great! The Mac n chz bacon bites were amazing! The waiter was super!

Oh how I miss our TGI Friday and Fridays.. none close any more.. closest is Effingham, Illinois. A little over an hour away. Great Great food and awesome service. Jack Daniels ribs Are still the best. But called whiskey glazed now.

Great friendly service from both the greeter and our waitress, Misty.Stopped on our drive for a mid-afternoon lunch. Place was not busy at all. Food was hot, delicious and delivered quickly.

The waiter was great! He spent time to chat with us and had a few laughs. We were on our way home from our vacation in Florida. Would definitely stop again if in the area.

We had a great visit yesterday. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. Our server, Amanda, was wonderful. We were meeting up with family we had never met before for a visit and we were never made to feel rushed despite being there for quite some time. Our food was delicious as were the appetizers. Huge portions.

We so wanted to love this place. We were excited to go. We were seated quickly, waitress was friendly, but we waited while to order. She took our drink order quickly, but brought unsweetened tea instead of sweetened. We waited at least 10 minutes for her to return to place our order and tell her about the tea. She brought the correct tea. The appetizer was OK, but very little toppings on the tater skins. Potstickers were not very good. When the food arrived, 3 of us had ordered pasta and we asked for extra breadsticks. The food was very bland with very little flavor. I ordered the chicken and broccoli Alfredo tortellini. There was next to no sauce. No flavor. The broccoli tasted the best. The breadsticks were just a small stick of bread. Again, no flavor. My husbands burger came out with a hair on it. Sent it back and they did make it fresh and comped it on the bill. Overall, we were severely under impressed. Due to the lack of flavor, no one took the remaining food home. We always take anything left home for the next day. This was not worth saving. This picture was what I had left over after finishing my meal. Very pretty in color, no flavor.

We stopped here during a cross country drive. The manager was super accommodating during this very hot summer when we inquired about dining options since we are traveling with our well-behaved pup. Our server, Cora, mentioned in prior reviews did an excellent job taking care of us too. She was very friendly and prompt. Great service and a great experience all the way around!

Im here to not comment about the food, which was fine but rather how impressed I was with the staff. First, the manager was all over the restaurant, doing everything and anything to make things happen. Every, and I mean every, waiter/waistress never paused. All were running and working at 200%. I travel around the country and want to compliment the total team effort of this restaurants staff and management. They were even cleaning windows, doors, furniture areas, ledges, etc. No sitting around. When so many businesses and especially restaurants cannot find workers nowadays, it was awesome seeing such team work and staff. Corporate office : please send a thank you to this location!

We went for Fathers day, our waiter was nice. The food was good. We had an appetizer sampler and I just got chicken tenders and a salad, so nothing fancy. Everything was good and we had a good time.

Food was good, as always. Service was outstanding. Our server was exceptionally friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.Building and bathrooms were very clean. I always appreciate TGI Fridays because they allow me to order off of the kids menu, due to my stomach restrictions.

our waiter was great, for however was far from great... ordered glazed chicken it came out super dry with no glaze and tough as leather!! my mashed potatoes were instant due to fact they still had flakes that were not mixed in that were in huge pile in middle of my potatoes!! not impressed

Absolutely delicious meal. I had sizzling flat iron steak with whiskey glaze and mashed potatoes. Mt son got New York strip and my friend got sizzling chicken and cheese. The food was great. Service excellent.

The waitresses were overworked. They didnt have enough staff. The wait was a little too long, about 30 minutes. The food was first rate. Once ordered, food came fairly quickly. The waitress we had was outstanding, but definitely overstretched. Food was very good.

Delicious food and the service couldnt be better. They were set up outside due to the virus and pandemic which is the first Ive seen any business do and I think its brilliant. The food was hot and tasted great and our waitress kept our drinks coming without us even having to ask. She was quick, friendly, and one of the best waitresses Ive had in my life. Great job you guys. And give this girl a raise, she deserves it!

Really good endless appetizers , and the Ultimate Long island ice tea was delicious. Very good service for Saturday night.

The 3 for $13.00 is a steal! The Long Island could have been a lil stronger! Haha... the food was really good tho! Service was the highlight tho! I cant wait to visit Effingham again!

Ribs were tough and missing meat. Shrimp was overcooked. Hamburger wad over cooked and dry and the fries were so greasy youI could squeeze it out of them. Manager said they had a new fry cook and earlier they had run out of a lot of product so the ribs were just cooked thats why they were tough. Give the cook a chance to learn the menu and try again

I would come here often for the endless apps. They upped the price and took some items off the endless apps menu. Its not worth it anymore unfortunately. The staff was friendly, and the food & drinks were amazing as usual. But I wont be back until the endless apps are.
