Awesome location in the old prison. I wish they advertised it more because we had no idea it was there until today.It is more of a sandwich shop as opposed to a grill. They serve salads, soups, and paninis. We ordered the Yard Bird panini and the Turnkey panini. Both sandwiches were pretty good. Each sandwich comes with a bag of chips which is nice. With two drinks our meal came to a little over $18.The line got quite long around 1200, so I recommend arriving closer to 1130. If we had more time here, we would go again. The photos of the paninis are only half of the sandwiches we ordered, so please dont think the portions are small.

Black bean soup was horibble and the onions in the panini says caramelized in the menu was actually just sauteed and had a weird raw after taste. i am really upset since i took my friend there for her b-day lunch

Nice place to get a bite to eat! Its one of the old jails on Leavenworth so the menu items are based on jail terminology. The food was good no complaints...its better than an MRE...

Great place to grab a bite to eat while on Historic Ft. Leavenworth. The prices are really reasonable and the service is good. Sometimes it is better to call ahead because lines can get long.

Call ahead and its quick Ina d out. Everything here is HUGE. You really get you $$$ worth here.

Put it this way: if youre hungry and short on time, youll eat it. If not, and have time to sit for your meal, you may dislike it. Its all on personal preference but I recommend taking the 5m drive over to the Food Court or Frontier Center for lunch. Theres nothing appealing or tasty about this place. They really need to revamp their menu. I went with coworkers and we all took a few bites then threw away most of our meals.

Stopped by for the first time and wanted to try it out. Sandwiches were very big and came out quick. Portions were better than expected and it was really tasty! Very surprised in a good way! Will definitely be back!

Excellent stop for lunch if you are on the Ft Leavenworth installation, wide variety of sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads - all made fresh. Enjoy some free popcorn as you wait for your order. They have day specials and the beef brisket sandwich is amazing. Chips come with most entrees, and there is a great selection of drinks too. Great place to dine alone or as a group. The food is excellent, never a disappointment.

Was only there for a social gathering. I didnt actually have anything but the staff was friendly and its got a good ambiance, and is only a few yards from a piece of history.

This place has great sandwiches and I went here to have lunch every time I visited Fort Leavenworth. My absolute favorite is the Yard Bird sandwich I had it every time. The tomato soup is also very good. This place serves quality sandwiches and soups in a restaurant with character and atmosphere. This is due to how it’s located in the historic United States Detention Barracks building along with the huge old prison. It’s a really cool great restaurant with great food definitely recommend. If you visit you can also enjoy the beautiful historic housing and scenery along with the historic makers all over the fort.

Great local soup, sandwich and salad shop located in the old disciplinary barracks. They have a great selection and offer free popcorn while you wait. They tend to get busy at lunch and the wait can get a bit long.

Great food... manage your time. This place fills up quick at lunch so it will take a few to get up to the counter to order. It will be worth the wait when the food comes.

Only open during lunch and not the fastest place on post but they have great salads and sandwiches.

Afternoon/Lunch... Great spot on Fort Leavenworth. My suggestion is order via phone early and pickup. The line is long, if you dont. The Felon is huge sandwich served on a sub bun cut in half. Way too much for one serving... Remember. ORDER EARLY!!!
