The Burger Shack in Suffolk County

Great first time experience. The cajun burger was seasoned and cooked to perfection! Good value and lots of variety on the menu.

We ordered thai chili wings and orange ginger wings along with a burger with pulled pork and a one pound burger. The burgers were great, the thai wings were great but the orange ginger wings were very gingery with little orange flavor. The one downside of this place is the smell inside like an old age home or musty mop smell on both occasions we have been there. Because of the smell we will not go back. Workers all seem very nice.

Walked in and felt very unwelcomed. Management seemed to disinterested to aid my group. They insisted that they had multiple grub hub orders and could not accommodate. I ended up going elsewhere. My group was ethnically diverse and i feel that we were profiled as "unworthy".

New owners are terrible !!! Went there in the past and it was great, visited today and there was an older woman there who was very rude and basically kicked us out, she acted very inappropriately and we were not treated fairly ! They lost out on over $300 worth of sales because of her. Instead we went to Bella Roma about half a mile away and gave them our business !

Food was very good! Our whole office enjoyed everything! Great burgers. Great shakes. Great wings. Loved the hotdog too. Will definitely be back for more!!!!

Food was not very good. Ordered 2 burgers, onions rings, and fries. The burgers were supposed to be medium, both burgers were so well done, completely overcooked, to the point they were dry. Both burgers had little to no flavor to the point where the toppings were the only thing that had any taste. On rings and fries were sufficient not salted or seasoned in any way easy enough to remedy. Place was clean staff was nice. Will not be going back!

Was my first time here, with two friends. The burgers were great, and so were the fries and wings! Definitely returning soon. 😊👍

I used to love this place pre-pandemic. However my mother and I got burgers (both different toppings and bunsa couple of days ago and we had searing stomach pains for the following day and night. It was the only thing different we ate from our normal diets so we know it had to be that. Very disappointing because this never happened when I got it regularly beforehand. I don’t know what they did differently, but please fix this before you get more customers sick.

We love this place and for the first time catered from them. Food was delicious as always but even better was how awesome all the food was individually packaged along with condiments. In our concern for safety for a family friendly get together, this was perfect. We didn’t want people touching platters of food and they went above and beyond to give us a wrapped up feast. Thank you Burger Shack staff - everyone raved about the food and we appreciate how you took the time to wrap it up for our guests.

This place is a great stop for a burger. I like the cajon with fries. Cooked to your liking. Each order is prepared specific so its not a fast food place but it is a perfection food place. Ive not tried anything else here but the burgers are second to none.Ive just lowered my rating from 5 to 3 stars. The reason The consistency and quality have fallen in the past year to below par.

The Burger Shack was good. I ordered the hells burger. It was big and so spicey. The Burger Shack sells hot dogs their too, which I Iike. Yes I am a hot dog fan. The food is good. Last month was my first time there.

Its a shame. Used to go here 3-4 times a month but it has changed under the new ownership. It is impossible to get the burgers cooked anything under well done no matter how you request it. They kept the fries which are great, but now theyre hardly even seasoned. Sad, I used to love this spot, but it seems like they just dont care. The older gentleman who I have seen there few times doesnt help out when they are busy and customers are waiting WAY to long for food. (and it comes out wrong)Hopefully they will improve, I keep crossing my fingers when I give them another shot every few months, but I usually end up regretting it.

THE WINGS ARE GREAT! only 11.99$ for a 10 wing combo meal with fries and drink. Good price and will fill you up. The cashier and owner are always very nice and helpful. Been back 3 times for the wings already :)

I very rarely post reviews but when I think a place is amazing I have to. I went here today and not only are the prices really low the fries and the burger were absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for high quality food at a low price

I just had a great meal The Burger Shack. The burger was cooked perfectly and the wings are really good. After my last post a friend and his family met us down there for dinner. Its definitely an inexpensive place to eat. I talked to "dad" tonight and he recommended the Texas burger. It had all the delicious onions and a fried egg. Kenny of course had wings, Gabby a cheeseburger. Vikki had the big "o", she really liked it.Of course we had to finish the meal with shakes which were so thick we needed a spoon for most of it.

Burger from hell is very good. Not overly hot the sauce is a little vinegary which I liked

This place has greatly improved since the ownership changed. I live in the area and came here twice a few years back and the food wasnt good. There is a big difference in menu options. The food quality is very good. The Burgers were very tasty. The O rings were a bit overdone though . I will be back .

Burger shack has great food. The wings are amazing. But they messed up my order by putting cheese on a burger. When I told them that they took it in the back and peeled cheese off. When I got home my son was not happy since the cheese was still on the burger. Other than that great food.

All I know is that the burgers are pretty darn good in the afternoons. Thats about the only time I can seem to get there. Whoever the cook back they have back there is really good at his burger making. No complaints from me since Ive been there several times. NICE.......

Food used to be awesome, filling, and just mouth watering. Now it is totally different. Ordered a chicken sandwich and was on the cold side, bleu cheese tasted bad and bun stale. 2 weeks ago had a burger from them and wasnt that good either. Quality is definitely going downhill and prices keep going up.

Awesome burgers. I did ask for a patty to be medium rare and they cooked mine just about well done but it was still nice and juicy so I cant even complain. You gotta check this place out

Used to be good... I am hearing they changed owners and tonight a new manager I never saw before was extremely rude to me, the food was cold (they had mine sitting there and they forgot about meand I will never ever go there again. It’s a shame. Chicken and waffles in medford on 112 is faster, friendlier, less expensive and tastier!

I went to Burger Shack tonight and had plenty of time to sit down and enjoy a burger. I have been there before and never had an issue other than the lady at the counter not knowing how to ring up an order. No big deal. Went there tonight, the place was empty, ordered a burger ($13), they told me to have a seat and they would bring it out to me, which is usual, as stated I know the deal and I have frequented the establishment both alone, with my wife and with the kids. After ordering, about ten minutes later a party of about six to eight people came in and placed their much larger order. I waited patiently as I had no place to go other than to eat and about 25 - 30 minutes passed. Then the party of six to eight people got served and finally my food came out, which was cold by this time because they forgot to serve it when it was cooked. I told the manager I was about to leave and he didnt care as he brought me out the burger. Seeing that the burger was unmistakably cold I asked for a refund. No way a single burger should take 25-30 minutes to cook and wait for. The manager was rude and shouted that if I wanted fast food I should go to McDonalds. I live in Medford, where there is a McDonalds, drove all the way to Coram for this place in particular and expected a decent burger, especially for what they charge and didnt mind that wait if it is fresh and hot. After I demanded they give me a refund (they verified that the burger was cold and was sittingthe lady who doesnt know how to ring up customers gave me a refund. Then she held onto my card like she normally does and you have to ask for it back because she is absent-minded. Again, I never minded but tonight this was ludicrous. The total bill was $13.80 for a $12.95 deal. I then went to Chicken and Waffles also on Route 112 and for $14.85 including tax, I got a double bacon cheeseburger freshly cooked with fries and a piece of strawberry cheesecake that was delicious!!! They staff at Chicken and Waffles were very nice and treated me like a customer should be treated... unlike the manager and assistant at Burger Shack who were outright rude and demeaning, never ever will my family and I eat there again. Oh, and before you bash McDonalds, that company is worth over $22 billion dollars. How much is your company worth? Evidently your customers arent worth squat.

The staff is super nice and the food is great! Theres a big variety of different flavors to choose for wings and the burgers. The 4oz burger sounds like a lot but its more of a kid size. Get the 8oz. Highly recommended. I am looking forward to going again soon.

Quality of the food has been hit or miss since the current owners took over. Too many times the burgers have been undercooked. The kitchen can use more oversight instead the owner just stands around while the order ready times are much longer than they say.

Burgers-amazing. Shakes-amazing. I absolutely love that they have a 4oz burger because even though it may look small at first it is the perfect size for a little lady like myself. Also super friendly, kind staff.

Our first experience here was great. Without realizing their closing time, we walked in while they were cleaning up and they still insisted on taking our order. Everyone there was friendly especially the manager and the guy at the register, I didnt ever get their names. The burgers were delicious and the fries were crispy. Im from the city so its very hard to find really good burger spots out in Long Island that can compare. The manager told us he has the best wings in Long island so we will definitely be going back again for some burgers and wings.

Came here because of a recommendation. I read a few reviews prior and was on the fence. People were waiting forever to get food. Before I got my food I heard four different people return food back for an incorrect orders and cancel orders. My food was ok but the wait time was horrible. Wayne did his best to try to make everyone happy

Great burgers... But.. they do breakfast too. Be sure to speak to Vic for breakfast. Tell him James sent you. They offer student discounts, and are great to veterans. Wayne, Nick, Johnnie Beans. All great there.2018/12/23 Update:Breakfast has been in the back burner for a while because of updates to the grill and such. They have a new counter guy George... Ok I have to say this guy is great. Anytime I go there when Johnnie beans is working the grill and George is upfront, I know its gonna be good. They both sing... Well if you ask them. Both are pretty good.Ill be back.

I went for the first and last time yesterday for dinner. The restaurant is sorely in need of a remodel .Many equipment was with paper signs telling guests its broken. Many light bulbs are burnt outNow the highly rated burger was auwful. The taste was as if the meat was turning vad. The fries were frozen and totally unexceptabke for a do called great burger place. Your wasting y our money here, better go to McDonalds, least youll know its clean with decent food!

This place used to be amazing until they switched owners. They changed the decorations to make it bland instead of the fun colorful atmosphere. The owner stands and watches customers wait, and only helps the people he knows. The food is still excellent, but its not worth it for the way they treat customers.

Its a fantastic family run business. My only complaint for them is about their small burger buns. The big burger buns are fine, but the small burger buns are aweful. Ruined the burger for me. Everything else is awesome! Great flavors. Next time Im getting the regular sized burger though.

I go there with friends and family often. They have a wide variety of great homemade burgers. They also have good veggie burgers. Aside from burgers, they have great chili, hot dogs, fried fish, fries, cajun fries and kids meals. They also have weekly specials on the weekends such as pulled pork, fish and other items. Sometimes the wait can take about 10 minutes, but thats because they make your order with fresh ingredients.

1st time we went we were so amazed and impressed. The flavor everything was perfect. The best burgers and fries we ever had. Weve been there 3 other times thereafter and each time the food just got worse. Ever since the 1st time now the "cajun" fries are WAY too over seasoned. Not even edible weve had to throw them away. Another time all of the burgers were salty and flavorless, and the other time they were flavorless and tasted like burnt charcoal. It sucks because after the 1st time we were so happy and had high hopes that this would be a regular spot for us for a real burger. Thats why even after the 1st bad time we still went back a few times hoping they just had an "off day" the time before. Sad to say we probably wont be returning to give them another shot.

Best burgers, VERY BEST fries ever!! My granddaughter LOVES the cookies & cream shakes. Dont waste your time going to fast food places, take your time and relax in a nice clean little restaurant where they cook your food to order, there is a large variety of great food (not only burgers), the staff is courteous and friendly, and the priices are right - thats Burger Shack. Just be aware that they close at 8 pm.

Just wanted to give a quick 5 stars to The Burger Shack. Wanted to try a new joint, burgers, chicken wings, onion rings AWESOME! Glad I stopped in, found a new place to add my rotation.

I enjoy the food, just wish the service was consistent. There have been times I get love in the food, this includes taste, packing, and quality. Then on off days all three plus friendliness is for some reason non-existent.It wont stop me from going but if Im closer to Johnnys burgers I would go there.You wont catch me in a chain burger place. That stuff is to overly processed. Places like here and Johnnys adds years to your life, as long as they continue making quality food. ❤😊❤

We called in a simple order and was told it would be an hour wait. We showed up half an hour early, and the food was being wrapped up? I ordered a veggie burger with crispy bacon and cheddar cheese. I know it’s weird but I like it! Veggie burger with cheese and bacon was called out specifically, however when we got home there was no bacon or cheese. Seriously?

The food, oh my goodness, the food was incredible. The menu was rather large with many choices to chose from and it consists of the all American fried food that is out of this world and no exaggeration. You gotta get the garbage pale fries, and as unapatizing as that sounds it is the best thing Ive eaten in a while. Its very similarsimilar to sonic menu so if you like checkers, sonic or Applebees then you will love this place. The staff were incredibly nice and it was fast service. Cant be anymore happy with my stay there.

My good friend was raving about the burger shack for over 1 year. I finally checked it out with her. I was very pleasantly surprised how delish the food tasted. We had burgers, nachos, onion rings, french fries and chicken wings. Everything was delish!! I highly recommend you stopping in and sample some of the food there. You wont be disappointed

I must first state that Burger Shack is mostly awesome. My family eats there 2 to 3 times a month. So much so that we get a free burger once a month through their buy 5 burgers get 1 free promo. However, this is the third occasion that we got to-go orders right before they closed and one or two things arent exactly right. On 1/16/18 @7:40pm all three burger buns were burnt. Two burgers were over cooked. No Cajun fries or cheese sauce that were ordered. The night crew (although very niceseems more interested in cleaning up to leave by 8pm then taking care of the quality control of the food. I hope Kenny and the gang can fix these issues. I dont want my favorite burger place going the way of the dodo.

One of the best home-grown restaurants Ive been to in a very long time. Staff were very friendly and inviting. Food was delicious and made to order perfectly. Wait for food was minimal and the banana shake has real bananas in it. Not only will I be going to this restaurant a lot in the future, but since they also deliver, I plan on using their delivery service as well. I also love the fact that they are open for breakfast, lunch AND dinner.

The flame broiled grill taste of the lucy lou outside in burger was amazing and the big O which was my boyfriends also a 8oz burger was great everything fresh. I especially enjoyed the batter on the onion rings and the milk shakes too. Try everything i tried to💞

This is easily the most underrated burger place ever. I came across it by accident and was happily surprised to find that the food is absolutely delicious, you get a fantastic amount of food for what you pay, the staff there is very nice and its quickly become my new favorite spot.

What can I say about my favorite burger spot? Always clean, always friendly, and always fresh and delicious! The best burgers I didnt make myself. Theyre way more than burgers though. The Shack also has a fantastic breakfast menu, awesome wings, and fresh made hand spun milkshakes! Tell your friends, bring the pack...I guarantee youll love the Burger Shack!

When my friend asked what wanted for dinner I just said a burger. So he looked up places to go with good burgers that is cheap because we broke. So we saw the reviews for this place and said sounds fine. As I walked to the front door, a bald eagle came out draped in the American Flag. I walked in and ordered the most American burger possible, a bacon cheeseburger. But this was no ordinary burger, it was stuffed with bacon and cheese, with delicious fries and a refreshing coke. At the end of the night I ordered a milkshake that was out of this world. If you ever want a good, inexpensive burger, this is the place to go.

The food here is great. If you want a burger and you live in Suffolk County make the trip here. You wont regret it. They have a 15 for 30 deal on yelp. Cant be beat. Burger shake and fries are all insanely delicious. They also have a 48 ounce burger challenge if you are REALLY hungry! The first time I went they were so nice! Was greeted by a middle aged woman who was awesome. The second time I went there was a middle aged man working who was extremely rude. Not sure what his problem was maybe a bad day. Anyway I dont come here to chit chat. I come here to fill up on awesome food. This place does NOT disappoint.

Burger Shack was my favorite restaurant. I say was because its really gone downhill lately. Food is cold 3/4 times I go now. The friendly staff that used to work there is almost never around anymore. The people working there now dont even respond when you say thank you to them. They just stand there or walk away to go talk to other workers. Pretty rude and very unfortunate. One guy there, I think his name is Cody, is great. Unfortunately he seems to be the only person working there that actually cares and Ive seen less and less of him.When the food is good its great, but too often the food is cold or the order is wrong in some way. Overall I cant recommend them sadly. Ill update/write another review if/when things turn around.

I got one of those Internet deals for Burger Shack where I could get $30 worth of food for $15 so I decided to check it out. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy but we were able to snag a table. The menu is impressive and I really regret I did not see their shake selection (at least half a dozen delicious sounding flavors). There is something for everyone including beef, turkey, and veggie burgers as well as hotdogs, chicken wings and tenders, and fries. The food is not really anything special but will fill you up without emptying your wallet. Burger Shack is worth a visit if you are looking for lunch in the area that is not traditional fast food.
