Delicious food and a cute restaurant, love the 20s vibe!
Had so much fun at the bar eating pub food and playing music trivia. We liked it so much we came back and ate in the dining room. Fancy feasting going on in there.
This has become one of our "go to" places for Monday night. Every item on their menu is fantastic. We have not gotten a bad meal yet! I hesitate giving them such a fantastic review because I already need reservations! 20s atmosphere and though the staff is short (as everyone isthey hustle! Soups are always a hit! Monday is a special where it is $17/meal off of a specials menu. Then they have other special nights. Enjoy!!!
What a lovely restaurant we had for lunch. The staff was superb as well as the huge delicious smoked turkey sandwich. The tomatoes and lettuce was so fresh. I came with a bus load of over 50 hungry people and everyone had a great time and meal. Our dessert was blackberry ice cream, creamy and yummy.
Had a chicken quesadilla sandwich there and was very good! We had a pretty big party as well. Our server handled the table good and accommodated our requests. I necessarily wouldn’t get the water there because its the city water. It was also a good atmosphere for a Friday afternoon!
Always a great place to dine! I moved out of the area so it was my first visit in years. Unique atmosphere and the food is always good!
Very nice place for a french tourist like us. Food and waitress are awesome. Go there.
Red Soup was perfect!!!Bear salad and steak 👍Perfect place for truck driver.Appreciate for dishes, come here back
Passed through this small town and came here due to its proximity and recommendation by someone. Loved the vibe, the decor, the food, the service. I liked that there was also an option to either sit in the more romantic ish side, or the bar/less formal side. Price was also decent.
This place was The Cats Meow fabulous atmosphere, waitress was wonderful, and the food was really great and between the six of us we had a good assortment of food ... Oh and dessert was so tasty ... I would have loved the Chocolate Peanut butter cake recipe 😊😋 😍Go by and try it for yourself im sure you wont be disappointed 😉 👌
Get atmosphere. Service staff super friendly and our appetizers and meals were great. When in the area again a return visit is a must.
Always a good atmosphere. The food is great portion size for the price. The food is delicious. I absolutely love the 20s vibe and decor..
Excellent food! Very comfortable atmosphere...1920s decor. Attentive wait staff. Moderately priced. Large parking lot. Outdoor deck dining...lounge dining...dining room with "smaller alcoves" for special moments. We need to try more items on the menu! The crab/tomato/broiled cheese on English muffin was A-one!
NEVER Disappointed!Excellent food, Great drinks!Solo at the Bar, out on the Porch, in the Dining Room... All Great atmosphere and service! Take out too 😉
The cats meow is a fancy but not fancy restaurant you can go casual you can go dressed up you just can go tank top shorts and flip flops. The staff is very friendly food is very consistent their wings are great they are just more like pigeon wings they are not the large wings Ive been going here my whole life love their food love the hospitality
I legitimately cannot go to this bar without getting the French onion soup. I don’t even like onions! It’s the best I have ever ever had. Also their wings and sauces are second to none. Staff is great and service too. Music trivia on Sunday nights…don’t go because I want to win.
This place is in my top 5 places I have ever ate at the food was great the prices are great and the service was amazing my only issue is I live 4hrs away
The food was fresh and the atmosphere was great. I ordered the ocean salad, it came with a house dressing that was surprisingly amazing!!! You got to go!
Updating this because we gave it another chance…the hostess was wonderful, very cheerful and attentive. The place had a joyful atmosphere this time as well. From a few months ago…I had been there before and enjoyed it greatly. So I brought two guests. However the waitress was rude, curt, and grumpy. That put a damper on our time there. So much so that my guests (and Ileft not wanting to go back. Recommend hiring cheerful waitresses who love what they do because that effects the whole dining experience. I think the food was good, but how she treated us kind of made us forget about the food, as we were dumbfounded at why she’d be so unpleasant.
One of our favorite local spots! Great food, drinks, atmosphere, and prices. Try the Tips on Toasts.... you will not be disappointed.
It was my first time there and it was fantastic. Food was so good. Staff were so nice.
Great eclectic restaurant. Good food and atmosphere. Havent had a bad meal yet. Definitely a place to go
We had a great meal and the service was superb!! Order a beer its nice and cold!! We will definitely be back!!
One of the few places left that actually knows how to serve . A pleasure to go to some place where they actually greet you with a smile see it was a smile and then they serve you and do it correctly and all was being very friendly.
This was a unique restaurant with the theme of the Roaring 20s. Service and food was excellent. Menu special in Monday was only $17 Entree and one side. We were a party of 4 and no waiting. Decorations are of course the roaring 20s. Even pictures are in the table tops from famous sports figures to mobsters. Great experience.
Our service was nicely done. The food was terrific and well done. All 7 of us were satisfied at the end. Our server earned her 20% share. I recommend this restaurant.
Nice mid to up scale dining. Nice atmosphere & food selection. Stairs to Main entrance to main dining. Do not know if there is a first floor inside dining or elevator to main dining. There is patio dining.
Excellent dining experience. Prices not bad either!
Ive been here many times in the last 10 years. The food is excellent and service is great. Its a popular spot. Call ahead. Either way they usually get you seated quickly. Can seat inside or outside.
Awesome food, awesome service, definitely coming back
Wings, fries and pulled pork sandwich were all super delicious! The place is cool and super busy! We made a reservation and thank god we did because it was packed! It was definitely the place to be on a Wednesday night!
Food was great and service was reasonably good. Visit was on a Saturday afternoon and we were seated in the lounge area. Wouldnt have been an issue except it was where all of the staff would congregate and despite being the only table there we could barely hear each other.Would definitely recommend sitting in the dining room only
Its a nice restaurant but I wasnt impressed with the food. This was my first visit. I ordered the Gatsby. The menu made it sound like it was something other than what it actually is which is a glorified Alfredo dish. I dont care for Alfredo so I wasnt happy with my dish. It was also very bland for Alfredo. Crab cakes were also ordered at my table. Again not impressed. They were undercooked, mushy consistency and mostly filler. I dont send things back at restaurants or complain to the waitstaff. If the cooks cant make it right the first time, chances are it wont be different the second. Our waitress was also very preoccupied and seemed to forget quite a bit. Couldnt figure out who ordered which drink, which food item and we had to ask twice for missed items for the table. Doubtful Ill return for another meal here.
Made reservations several weeks ahead for a group of 10. Table was ready on time, service was good, food was excellent. Atmosphere was unusual and interesting. Highly recommend.
Ive been going here for 20 years, and also worked here during high school. Prices have gone up, just like everywhere else. Food always taste good, but its pricey.
The service was great, and the food was excellent. Very quaint and nice atmosphere. We will go back again.
We were looking for dinner after driving all day and the sports bar was not sounding too appetizing...we came across the cats meow..what a find..I wish I had multiple stomachs...the history...the food...prepared by Brittany..was so memorable...Cortney our server made us feel like family...a must visit...the pictures Im including are of empty dishes because even though I never finish a meal... I devoured this......thanks to all the staff and the owners for one of the finest evenings of my adult life...💜💙💛💚
Delicious food. Great atmosphere.
Such a unique place! The decor is very nice. Service was fantastic. The food was delicious. It can get busy, so consider making a reservation. Definitely check it out!
The food & service - consistently fabulous!! Check out their Thursday night specials! I can definitely recommend this place, full of charm, and always a great experience. Lovely atmosphere, and stellar food and service
This was our first time to this restaurant. The decor was very nice, the wait staff friendly, the food selection was excellent. Our meal was very good and plentiful enough that we took some home which became lunch the next day. It was on a Wednesday, which is wing night ($10 per dozen), and they smelled so good that I ordered a dozen to go. The wings were on the smaller side, which is the way i like them, and they were very tasty. My wife and I will be back.
As stated in other reviews the decor is creative and unique. The service was excellent except for a delay in bring mayonnaise for the burgers served without a condiment. The burgers were cool by the time she made it back with the mayo. The food was served hot and was well made. The French onion soup, salads, bacon wrapped scallops, and chicken parmigiana were spectacular. Two members of our party ordered spicy pizza soup. Both bowls were different. One had a lot of sausage and the other had almost no sausage and a lot of dough balls like the didn’t store the soup before stirring. The truly big surprise was the chicken wings. They were an inch long and looked like the were from a Cornish hen. They were cooked properly and the sauces were good though. Overall a good experience but a few opportunities for improvement and consistency.
This restaurant is beautiful! When I was seated I had no choice but to walk around to look at the details. The style is 20s and seasonal decorations were added. The food was delicious and the desserts were amazing! Our server was so sweet and helped give us information about the history of the restaurant as well as describe the food so we could pick exactly what we wanted. With her smile you could tell she loves this place as well!
Visited from Massachusetts tonight I can honestly say that I have never been to a better restaurant in my entire life. The waitress/bartender there named Beverly was very welcoming and the food was the best food I have ever tasted. There aren’t enough stars in the sky to rate this restaurant with, I would highly recommend coming here.
We came to the area for the first time from NY to go to the Renaissance Faire. Once we checked into our hotel we were looking for a place to eat and noticed The Cats Meow was nearby, so we decided to give it a try! I am so glad we did! The atmosphere is so amazing, the staff were amazing, and the food was even better! I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to go here. I know Ill be adding this stop to any future trips I make to this area!
Very nicely decorated, big menu with a few variances from traditional items. Will definitely be returning again.
This place was very unique and a very cool find. The decor was awesome. Had a berry salad. My husband ate the French onion soup and my friend had the crab cakes. All were excellent. Cant wait to go back. They have a huge drink menu. Our waitress was very sweet and pleasant. This was a very welcoming place.
Great staff, friendly and courteous. Very busy, reservations recommended. Delicious food. Picture is crab and cheese melt on an English muffin. Delicious!!! Id order it again
Absolutely AMAZING restaurant. Super cozy 20s themed decor, fantastic food that is very reasonably priced. If u are in Lancaster for any reason and are looking for a place to eat, I definitely recommend trying this restaurant.
food: The hobo pretzel is a deep fried treat. Comes with great spicy honey mustard and beer cheese. Hamburger was average and comes with chips unlesss you ask for fries.Atmosphere: Unique decor meant to look like the Roaring 20s. Looks like a Victorian era house that was converted into a restaurant. Outdoor seating is great.Service: You should not be in a rush to eat here as the service can be quite slow. Very friendly though :)
