The Driftwood Cottage at Dulangan Puerto Galera, Philippines in Oriental Mindoro

Update - we had a small issue today and once management heard they went above and beyond. The people there are excellent.December21- Theres nothing but good things to say about Driftwood Cottage. The view, the facility, the grounds the staff and the food are all excellent. They serve buko with metal straws that my wife loves for digging out the coconut. She loves the Filipino food.Hands down it has the best pizza Ive had in the Philippines.We live nearby and go frequently.

Very good and nice experience. Two thumbs up. Very satisfactory. Beautiful scenery and staff are very accomadating. Recommended this resort.

Rooms: 5 stars: Very clean, nice design, comparable to high class hotels!Ambience: 5 stars: Peaceful and quiet. Good place to relax and de-stress.Food: 5 stars: Top-notch! Order the pizza! We tried the Driftwood pizza and the vegetarian pizza. They sure know how to make pizzas!Overall: 5 stars! We are very satisfied and happy with our stay. The staff are always smiling and ready to help. We fell asleep and woke up to the relaxing sound of the waves along the shore in front of our private veranda. Super worth our money! We will definitely comeback! ❤️

Driftwood cottage gives an excellent vibe if you want to relax and enjoy. Our stay in driftwood was extraordinary. The place is spotless clean. You will not see any liter around even in the beach shore.The room is also spot on, design wise its very pleasing and accommodating, it will really satisfy your "relaxing feeling".Food is awesome too, great flavors and they even have a wide variety of liquor. You dont have to go to the market for alcohol, just go to the bar counter, they have great selection!Personnel are very friendly too. They will really assist you and will tend to your needs.Overall our stay in driftwood is beyond expectation. Will definitely go back and recommend it to my friends :)

It’s my first time in Puerto Gallera and The Driftwood Cottage really made the overall trip memorable.The place is clean. The staffs are accomodating and friendly. They also serve delicious foods and refreshing drinks at the bar. Our room is spacious. The free coffee every morning really makes me happy. The infinity pool that overlooks to the sea and make it visually appealing and instagram-worthy is awesome!The view at the veranda in our room is just WOW!Aside from the beach, this resort made me wanna go back again in Puerto Gallera.Experience and prove it yourself.Puerto Gallera = The Driftwood Cottage❤️❤️❤️

Our room is spacious and very well thought of - from the modern working kitchen, very comfy bed and pillows and of course the restroom! Super clean and beautifully designed making us feel we were staying in a 5 star hotel:and the best part, the balcony facing the beach while enjoying the sunrise! We can even hear the sound of the waves from our room!And the people behind Driftwood, you guys are amazing! Special mention to Gerald who makes the best (bananamilkshake! And of course, thanks to Owen whom i was not able to meet in person but still managed to (virtuallyhelp us and made us feel at home.We really had a great time! Enjoyed swimming in the pool and in the beach as the place is not crowded! We also took advantage of the free use of and went kayaking to our hearts content!The Driftwood Cottage at Dulangan is the best beach place ive been to! Absolutely fell in love with the place that weve decided to stay for another night!Highly recommended for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing weekend away from the crowd! Will definitely visit again.

Our stay at The Driftwood Cottage at Puerto Galera was an excellent break. The sound of the ocean and fresh air were splendid! If your friends, family are looking for relaxing atmosphere and good place I highly recommended The Driftwood Cottage!The menu offers a great variety of food the staff was very attentive, professional, and friendly.The only problem is the power outage but it took only 30 sec to restore it.Overall, it was a good and 5 star is not enough to rate Driftwood Cottage.A wonderful mini-vacation!

The resort and beach is private and secluded so if you are looking for some privacy and alone time, you can consider the place. I just didn’t like the beach part because of the stones and pebbles. But they have a pool with mini jacuzzi so I still enjoyed dipping in the water.We booked the chalet, it is spacious and a good place for family and barkada bonding. The view is REALLY GOOD! This is what I enjoyed the most. Comfortable place + nice view.They also offered househelp for the duration of our stay. Ate Angel, Nanay Cristy and Gerald are very accommodating to our needs and requests. Angel is quite a great cook too! They did all the market thing, cooking and cleaning that made our vacation even more relaxing.Will recommend the place for everyone to visit and experience and should the pandemic is over, I want to visit again.

Enjoyed a wonderful stay here with my boyfriend.great pool,nice view,friendly staff,I love the staff they all sweet and cute.A bit far from the white beach and sabang take 25mins ride moto,but it’s not problem for us.ms jewel been so helpful to me,lovely host❤️一開始有些中國人講話非常大聲亂丟煙蒂，但兩天後退房恢復寧靜，這裡什麼都很好，離市區有點遠，要做嘟嘟車25分鐘到市區，景美，員工友善可愛，老闆娘很有幫助！非常喜歡！

All was fine ecxept loud sound. Workers building something all the day plus very very loud music especially after lunch when someone want to get an hour asleep(

Had an amazing and unforgettable stay at Driftwood Cottage in Puerto Galera. This should definitely be anyones go-to destination in the area and even in the nation. Amazing service and hospitality by the staff. Beautiful home and rooms. And of course, a beautiful and breathtaking view. I love this place it has now become my Puerto Galera home.Is very relaxing nothing but sound of the waves staff are super friendly and helpful. They can arrange everything from island hopping BBQ feasts to diving arrangements and transportations. Place is always spotless.Access to unlimited drinking water I and your own kitchen is Very convenient specially for much longer stay the location is perfect if you dont want to be in the very crowded loud places. The new pool extension is very refreshing after a long days dive or sunbathing puerto galera such an amazing place to discover the underwater world whether your snorkeling diving or just kayaking or swimming you will truly enjoy the many things the island has to offer. The Driftwood Cottage is my happy place close enough to everything yet far enough to relax recharge and just chill.

Everytime I come here, the hosts make my stay more and more comfortable! Driftwood cottage was already a very peaceful and romantic place to stay before, but now with the swimming pool and restau/bar, it makes it so hard to leave!The Studio is the best Ive stayed in the Philippines, about 50+ sqm, a long room including a very operational kitchen, gas stove, rice cooker, all utensils to cook from breakfast on your own terrace to grill barbecue in the garden. All this overlooking the sea right at your feet. Have the chance to be part of the ocean as you hear the waves rolling right under your pillow! its like living on a boat without the risk of being seasick.Jewel, Angel and Owen will make sure youre never missing anything. From organizing a scooter rental, the best island hopping, and directions for the must seen of the surrendings, they will only help you with the best! Tip: borrow one of their kayak for a romantic sunrise paddle in the middle of the glassy Dulangan bay! memories for a lifetime ;)And oh! they serve a unique "Below Zero" branded beer, so refreshing!

Nice place to relax and unwind

At first when we first went to this place we were welcomed wit smiles and very helpful and always asking if we needed anything.We have stayed at this place 4 times.We were suprised that this time we were treated like animals.No one ever asked if we are ok or to check on us or the room.Room was never cleaned,we had to ask for bedsheets to be changed.We asked for assistance with our bags when we left but didn’t recieve any,had to carry all our bags.Other times when we were leaving they would call a trike for us and made us feel welcome.Also they made us pay for everything upfront.We felt like we were not welcomed there anymore and treated like strangers.We found the owner very arrogant and rude this time.My friends were going to book 2 weeks for Xmas which are two families.Now I will not recommend for sure.Never ever againWe are paying customers,not animals!Maybe because we were returning customers they thought they had us for sure as customers of theirs.But nothing is for sure in life,Just remember thatNever again!Learn to appreciate and treat your customers!Always a excuse for everything will not keep your customers,just take it as a piece of advise.
