Was passing through town and got some very tasty steak here. Good service, good food and great aatmosphere.Would come back.
I had heard alot about this Eatery so we were looking forward to the meal. Service was good, all the girls seemed very sweet. The appetizer was yummy. (picture posted)The main courses were okay. Im not going to tear them apart but there is room for improvement.Big question, would we go back... Yes. There were things good enough to give it another try
Ate lunch with my wife there and were very pleased! They have a good variety on the menu and are reasonably priced. The food was on spot. Nice open dining area that is not crowded together. The wait staff were very nice and attentive. We will certainly be back and would recommend this place for anyone looking for a delicious meal.
After being seated, we received menus and were told our waitress would be with us soon. We sat for 15 minutes. Two other tables were seated around us and received drinks and had their orders taken. A waitress still had not even been to our table. At this point, I began to gesture for any type of service. The HOSTESS came and took our drink order, then after another 10 minutes our food order and offered complimentary pork rinds (which never came). A waitress NEVER came to our table at any point. The food was good, but the service was beyond horrible. After paying for the ticket, and literally with one foot out the door, the hostess comes up to us and says she forgot to put a drink on the ticket and will have to rerun the ticket. EXCUSE ME! At this point, I brought up the subpar service, the pork rinds which never came and the fact that we watched tables seated AFTER our party of three receive food and drinks. We were told the pork rinds couldnt be helped because the fryer was down, even though one member of our party had fried chicken, but ok. No one come to the table to tell us any of that. The owner/manager should really be on top of things because this was all ridiculous. No one even attempted to apologize. I dont know what was going on, but we will not be returning to this restaurant.
Wow it was a toss up between wagyu beef burger or chicken strips the burgers was very good and very responsibly priced! With homemade amazing french fries. Dr pepper is really good too
Itโs worth going out of your way to eat here! The food was delicious and beyond expectations! Great service and reasonably priced.
Amazing Food, service, and prices! Will definitely be back!
This is a quaint little restaurant nestled in the scenic part of SWMO. Just off the Highway and easy to get to. Food is unique and very good! Hidden gem!
Cannot say enough about this place! So so so good! Great service, amazing atmosphere, perfect patio for nice days, good selection and food was prepared accurately and promptly! They give you complementary fresh pork rinds which were fun to try! Do not miss out on the haystack onion straws! They are phenomenal! We had the olโ Smokey sandwich and it was next level! Their FD sauce is out of this world! And fries and ranch are on point as well! Seriously, donโt miss out on this gem! Prices are extremely reasonable as well!
We placed an order of 16 meals picked up over 2 days for our company. Our employees had 5 options to pick from and every single order was CORRECT! The food was amazing. Making the orders was simple. We also got the half sheet carrot cake and OMG DELICIOUS!!! Definitely recommend!!!!
Great food and friendly staff. Best carrot cake around!!
Tonight we had the farmers daughter salad and the club bologna sandwich. The salad is topped with Fried onion strings, house croutons, amazingly moist smoked chicken & bacon. The sandwich has thick round German bologna with melted cheese on toast bread. We eat here often and have never had a bad meal. Great service food and reasonably priced
Just passing through town on a toad trip and found this little family-owned gem! Delicious homemade fresh food and great service! Love the cute decor! Brisket sandwich was melt-in-your mouth tender! Hubby loved the chicken fried steak. Dont miss this great place!
Attempted to dine at "The Farmers Daughter" last night. Prior to arriving their website displayed their dine in hours till 8:00 pm, we arrived at 7:15 pm and were promptly turned away.We were told the kitchen was closing soon and where told to try another time. We were only in town for that evening. On a side note: The few full tables viewable from the entrance, had not been served with food. In my experience this normally is do to poor management or inexperienced kitchen staff. If you choose to "close early", put a sign on the door or give potential customers a coupon incentive to return. Reviews can make or break a business.
Been here several times now. The food is delightful, delicious and abundant. You dont go home hungry and are likely to leave with a box of leftovers unless you share a meal. Oh and their home smoked/cured bacon is to die for. Happy eats!
I got a chicken fried steak; it was thin and a little on the tough side, but had decent flavor. My wife got the pork chops; they were perfect. We liked the sides also. The mashed taters in particular, and the gravy that was on them and the chicken fry were very good. Service was friendly but a little on the spotty side.
Wonderful small restaurant that I and my sisters happened upon by accident. Wonderful food ... the brisket was sooo tender and soft that it melts in your mouth; the carrot cake is simply divine!! Just as an FYI, to get seated quickly, make a reservation!!
I love this restaurant!!! I get the same thing everytime, the Roasted Chicken hot brown. It is their homemade sourdough bread thick sliced with pepperjack cheese, roasted chicken, cream gravy and thick cut bacon on top! It comes with a side salad also! Yum!!!
Tried this place and loved it! If it wasnโt so far from where I live Iโd be going all the time. The pork rinds are warm and sizzling when they come to the table. The pimento cheese sandwich was so good as well as the burger, must go again
Amazing! The staff was friendly and attentive. Fried Brussel Sprouts were melt in your mouth good and their Margarita was one of the best Iโve had - they use fresh squeezed lime juice! Not many places do that. We also got the Haystack which was also very good. I canโt wait to come back and try more!
I was in town for the weekend and got takeout from the farmers daughter and I was blown away with the quality of the food! We got the barbecue nachos with brisket and a horseshoe and loved the elevated take on classic delicious bar food. A must try for anyone in the area for sure!
The food was amazing and so was the service. Far out of the way but we will be back, trip was so worth it!!
We went here on a whim - no regrets. Good food, generous portions, friendly staff. Well be back!2 years later EDIT: WOW ... the burger and fries are THE BEST!!!!! We had not eaten here since the last review I left, and then a friend got us all burgers and fries one evening. They were SO DELICIOUS that we ended up getting them to-go again a few weeks later. Well try to remember to make this a regular habit ;)
The wood fire smell lures you in!! It smells wonderful! The restaurant is clean and well kept. Decorations are cute and interesting. The people are nice. Somewhat big portions but I always look for a couple of certain things on the menu at restaurants I go to...no matter how pricey or hometown it is. We were looking for mushrooms when we visited...no luck! The service was ok but they did get a little busy while we were there.I would absolutely go back for dinner and not lunch.
This is a fantastic eating opportunity you do not want to miss! The whole Farm to Table concept is not forgotten in this restaurant, and the food is more than delicious. The service was great, the portions were definitely enough for leftovers, and the atmosphere definitely fit the menu. Make sure you try the dessert of the moment, and if you are a sweet tea drinker you will not be disappointed.
Great steak! we had the Waygu special and it was great. You have to call ahead and make sure they have it. If they dont have the Waygu the regular steak was great also. Great staff, masks worn and tables distanced. Great price as well cant go wrong eating here.
Everything I tried was amazing! I had a single burger with blue cheese crumbles & onion straws that was out-of-this-world delicious! My first taste of food from The Farmers Daughter definitely has me wanting to try absolutely everything on the menu. Im looking forward to my next visit!
Delicious, fresh food. The textures and flavor combinations were perfect. The quaint atmosphere enhanced the experience. Will definitely come back for more
Flavors you would expect from a high end resturant. 12 oz New York strip cooked medium with black beans and slaw. House made Pork rinds as an appetizer. Staff was friendly and catered to my needs for refills and questions. Overall the food and experiance balances out for the price
This is a small little place just off the road, but the food is AMAZING. They offered complimentary chicharrones which were made FRESH! They were still popping when they got to the table. I had a chocolate mouse/cheesecake dessert in a glass cup and it was perfect. It was cold and just the perfect amount of sweetness. I also had the Wagyu burger, which was SO SO JUICY! I ordered hand cut fries for my side, which was also delicious! The service was great and the atmosphere was comfortable with cute little sunflower art and modern farm house decor. Very clean place. Would highly re
Well we have driven by it a couple times in the past on our way to Fayetville, and we never stopped, that will not happen again. The service was great, the food and deserts were even better, and if your looking for a neat little restraunt to check out in the Caseville / Roaring River area, make sure and swing by, you will no be disappointed. ๐
This was a gem! We were visiting family nearby on vacation and were looking for a good place to eat on the way to roaring River State Park. After reading some reviews and wanting to have an experience we cant have back home we decided on the Farmers Daughter. It did not disappoint! We had four adults and two children and none of us left disappointed or hungry! All six of us had different things and i they were all a delicious masterpiece to say the least! This is a place kids to grandparents can enjoy and leave full and happy. The atmosphere was very clean and friendly and the staff were very nice! If you are anywhere in the area I would highly recommend stopping in and eating here!
The food was good but I wouldnt say the best just average and the cost was more than what we were expecting. We went for lunch we had 3 people we ordered off the lunch menu getting two of the lowest priced options and one of the lunch special. Without any alcohol, appetizers or desserts the bill $50. We wont be returning.
What a nice surprise! While out and about looking for bald eagles we dropped in for some local fare. We really werent expecting much, but were blown away by what we found!Everything was excellent! The outside of the building is modest, but the inside was really nice. Every table gets fresh, still-crackling-from-the-fryer pork rinds upon being seated and things just get better from there. The kids demolished their burgers, waffle fries were out of this world, wagyu steak was perfect. Breads, biscuits, and deserts were all amazing. They had 6 beers on tap. 3 local craft and 3 AB products. I didnt remember that I wanted a beer until I had already ordered a soft drink. Oh, well, maybe next time. All around good experience. Its worth the drive if you have to. I never had reason to go to Cassville before...now I do. Will be "eagle watching" in the area again soon.
Food was amazing, staff was very helpful and friendly. Establishment was very clean, and decorated well. Interior is very pretty. Bathrooms were very clean as well :)
My wife and I took a trip to Cassville, Missouri to see the fall foliage. While looking for a place to have lunch, we passed a little place on top of a low hill. Didnt know it was a restaurant till I saw the word, "eatery". I turned the mustang around and drove up to the parking lot. This was about 11:30ish. We were greeted by a pleasent young man who seated us near the front door. A waitress took our orders for their signature hamburger, hand formed using waygu beef. This was 6 ounces of meat plus all the trimmings on a in-house baked bun. I ordered the waffle fries as my side and my wife got potato salad as hers. The wait for the food was long, about 30 minutes but it was worth the wait.I got the feeling that they were understaffed on the Sunday as more people showed up, the longer the wait for a table became. It went from 10 minutes to 30 minutes wait and some folks simply turned around and left.Had I known how busy they would become, I would have requested to be seated somewhere else than near the front door. People kept crowding in and in one case held the door open for about 15 minutes.But... back to the food. It was great. I am not a fan of waffle fries but their side choices were a bit limited. I would have preferred French fries or baked beans as my side but they didnt have either one. The men seated at a table next to ours ordered chicken fried steak. When they brought them out, they were huge and covered with what I suspect was white cream gravy. Their ladies had salads, also very large. All in all, a great little place to eat if you have time and are willing to wait for a table and your food. If you are in a rush, go to a fast food restaurant. They serve large amounts of food for a reasonable price. My total bill including the tip was $20.00. We walked out stuffed. On a side note, the place was spotless! Very neat and clean with modern designed tables and metal chairs. Well go back when were not in a hurry. If you find yourself in Cassville, give them a try. I think you will like them too.
We stopped at a slow time and thought it was closed, then worried it might not be good because no one else was there. WRONG! It was wonderful. My travel partner and I look for fresh, healthy meals with lots of vegetables. Jackpot! I had the crisp fried Brussels sprouts with pecans and a sweet balsamic seasoning. It was a large serving and I ate it all and wanted to lick the bowl. Friend had a Farmers salad. Fresh mixed greens, fried onion strings, and large pieces of roast chicken with a light house vinegarette. Also fresh and delicious. After a few days on the road in Arkansas and Missouri, it was such a delight to have fresh, healthy options. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the service was quick and welcoming.
A perfect little local establishment. I tried the brisket tostadas, which caught my eye right off the menu. I can say I was not disappointed. They were delicious.I had the Roasted Chicken Hot Brown with creamy green beans for my main course. The chicken had a great flavor with the pepper-jack cheese and gravy. I was not expecting it to taste like it did, and I was pleasantly surprised.Needless to say I did not have room for desert, but I can only imagine it would be amazing.
Very solid restaurant. The decor is nothing fancy, but the food is good, with complex, balanced flavors. Service was fast.Expect to spend $11 on a burger or sandwich. The fried catfish may not be the best Ive ever had, but its very respectable. The brussel sprouts are delicious.
Absolutely the best restaurant experience you will have! A superb rural America experience. The food is exceptional as is the service. Highly recommend their hot sandwiches and salads and desserts. The Hot Chicken Brown with mashed potatoes Sandwich is fabulous!Pricing will seem on the high side....until you take your first bite!A recommendation to the owners: its a great decision for profit to not add extras on a meal ordered that may sometimes get thrown away. But dont charge for every single thing like an extra dressing for the salad or a cracker or an extra spoon of gravy or a slice of toast to go with that "over the moon delicious" chicken fried steak. Some little item offered or asked for and given complimentary will bring you so much repeat business and referrals. Put a limit on it like one free and more than that charged for. Youve got one of the best restaurants in Missouriโฃ๐๐ฝ๐ฅ๐๐ฐ๐พโ๐ด
First time, so enjoyed the atmosphere, waitress was knowable when it came time the menu and very attentive. Husband ordered one hamburger, with fries wow delicious! I ordered the hot and brown Turkey sandwich, very good Sourdough bread-(made in housegravy was fresh, bacon had the best flavor, I had wished the Turkey was a little more smoky in flavor but all and all everything was fresh including my side salad! Yummy, so we ordered a slice of carrot cake, wow wow wow, it was so fabulous, fresh creamy texture made with pineapple instead of raisins. Best dessert I have had in a very llllloooonnnggg time!๐๐๐. Thanks for a good meal. We will be back! They also serve wine and beer๐ท๐บ
Great place to eat!! FRESH and delicious food. Everything tasted amazing! Friendly service and unique country atmosphere. $10 salad or burger. Great find on a long drive.
FD always exceeds our expectations! Delicious Wagyu skewers and one of a kind burgers this time! They vamp up midwest classics as well as some unique options for SW Missouri!
Everyone enjoyed their meals and got full. Bacon cheeseburger Shilo said was awesome. The chicken was very good and tender. The only meal that I didnt like was the beef stroganoff. Too expensive and it came with nothing. See pic 4. My husband loved it so he ate it. I think it should have been served with a side salad with the price being 15.95. thats my only issue. The place is cute and the staff very friendly. I would definitely go again!
The atmosphere and the food are both delightful. The portions are huge, bring friends.
Took my wife out to lunch!Fun and friendly staff!Food was delicious!
Great place. Owner Abby was nice. Food was fantastic, well be back for sure
I ordered chicken fried steak from their Sunday brunch menu and got it to go. I was underwhelmed. Potatoes werent quite done in the middle, the steak was mostly tough, and everything was piled into the container in a big, greasy mess. There was an odd sweetness somewhere in the mix but I couldnt tell where it was coming from the way it was all heaped. I believe it was overly sweetened caramelized onions. I did enjoy the grits though. I plan to come back and give their lunch menu a try however.Came back for lunch. Had the crispy chicken and Mac. The chicken tenders would have been good if they hadnt been burnt. The Mac and cheese was nicely cooked noodles swimming in a very thin cheesy soup that tasted like it came from a powder mix. My husbands burger was pretty good though. We shared a giant slab of chocolate peanut butter pie that was ok, but crazy salty and mostly whipped cream.
Great food, great atmosphere, very friendly staff and good scenery! I had the Soggy Bottom Sandwich and it tasted amazing. Pictured below is the double Patty cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese. Massive! And delicious to boot! Also service was quick, food was delivered within 20 minutes of ordering for a party of 7.
The food quality is absolutely t he best! It is definitely a CHEF preparing the food. Everything is thought out. Even the BBQ sauce isnt just out of the bottle. The prices are very fair and the portions are enormous. I would highly recommend it. Service was great. The newly renovated building was done extremely well. They paid a lot of attention to detail in keeping the farm them in the high quality constructed building.
