The Fruitful Orchard And Cider Mill in Gladwin County
Definitely worth the trip. Had a maple seasalt donut and it was scrumptious 💗All kinds of baked goods, yummy 💗🌻🍿
MoreParking was flowing over, they sell baked goods, of other kinds too
Make sure you have plenty of time to wait in line on busy days. The line filled the building and was out the door. It definitely is a popular place but we just didnt have time to waste in line just for doughnuts. Im sure weekdays are less busy.
MoreGreat place! Friendly and fast. Excellent cider and donuts.
Friendly staff, great selection, really well done.
It was a nice place. Walking along the pick your own apple trees was cool. The prices are a tad bit on the high side though.
MoreAwesome cider and Donuts
Absolutely amazing Orchard, the best apple cider donuts youll ever eat! Cider made the way you remember it from your childhood. Spectacular Hard Cider flavors for adults, petting zoo, hayrides, pumpkin painting, apple picking, and the cutest gift store. Very family oriented environment, just a great place all around!

MoreHard Cider was good, donuts were good, u pick was excellent
First time there today came away with cider, doughnuts, pie, apples and had a flight of hard cider. Bring plenty of cash.
MoreNice spot with a good little hard cider bar.
Nice cider mill with a hard cider tasting room.
Apple cider, donuts, & pies are something we look forward to every fall! My gosh they are beyond delicious quality. If you haven’t been, you’ve got to go at least once! You won’t regret it.
MoreVery nice surprise. The soda taste is excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff. We will certainly come back again
MoreWe went to pick Michigan tart cherries, which arent always easy to find. There were plenty, they were easy to pick, they were reasonably priced, and everyone was very nice. Well definitely come back!
MoreLoved it!!!!! We picked cherries yesterday and had a blast!!! Already looking forward to next year. Thank you for the great experience.
MoreTheir home-made blueberry pies are the best Ive ever had! INTOXICATING!! (I didnt know home-made Michigan blueberry pies could make me feel this way!Got home and ordered 4 shipped to me overnight. BLISS!
MoreWatch apple cider be made! Beautiful gift shop and good food. Staff less than friendly.
MoreLoved this cute little place! Favorite ciders were "Sweetheart", "Peach cider" and "Purple heart". You get a flight of 4 for $8.
MoreI don’t think I’ve ever had a worse $18 apple pie. Wouldn’t have been bad with a touch of sweetness. The hard cider tasting was closed on Wednesday to to being short staffed. Liking spicy foods I bought several bottles on faith, I mean how can you screw up cider! The Jalapeño cider was absolutely horrendous, I drank maybe 4oz prior to dumping the lot. The regular cider was not bad but the hard ciders absolutely suck. You can do better than this place!
MoreToo crowded. Line was so long it would have taken 1 - 2 hours to get to checkout. We left and went elsewhere for cider, apples and doughnuts.
MoreCame up today for the 1st time! Drove an hour to get here. Heard good things about this place, especially the pies. Pulling in to the parking lot, we found no where to park, had to drive down a side road and a few hundred yards. Entering the main store found about 70 people waiting in line. Found some nice things to buy, got in line, (which was not moving). Stood in line about 15 minutes, moved about 10 feet. I think they only had one case register running. Figured maybe we could check out in about 60 minutes.Apparently this place was not ready for a Saturday crowd. Reluctantly we put our items back on the shelves, left the building and walked the few hundred yards back to our car.Maybe next year.......
MoreAutumn in Mid Michigan means several trips to The Fruitful Orchard. Amazing baked goods, delicious cider, and a great selection of country gifts. Be sure to stop in next door and try a flight of cider!
MoreThis was our second year coming to the orchard. It is so cute! We were bummed this year that the harvest wasnt plentiful so we missed out on some stuff. But not the orchards fault. The first year we got to pick apples and have fresh cider along with fresh donuts and hard cider tasting. We came back becuase this little place offers a great variety of things to do for all ages. I cant wait to go back next year and hope the trees are full!!!
MoreDonuts were delicious! Super disappointed they were out of cider. The little shop was full of treats and Im super excited about the popcorns and Carmels.we got.
MoreAbsolutely love this place great doughnuts, the cider is amazing and they also have a winery with some unique and delicious wines/hard cider
MoreDisappointed but made the best of it. We went on a Saturday afternoon and they were completely out of cider. Their donuts are delicious however. The staff was friendly.
MoreMy first visit here. It is still early in the season for the apples I wanted, so I will be going back. Nice bakery, cute gift shop items and very friendly ladies who answered my many questions. Highly recommend.
MoreWe have been coming to Fruitful Orchard for so many years(maybe 20hard to remember it has been a few different names. There doughnuts are the best, as well as there cider!! Love there apples!!🍁Its a hidden gem!!
MoreThis place is awesome, and has some of the best cider, and donuts. Very beautiful place!
MoreFamily friendly orchard. They have an excellent variety of apples from their orchard and the baked goods will keep you coming back for more. I spent a great afternoon there with my daughter and granddaughter.
MoreThe best cider mill hands down. The family feel is the best and the owners are so sweet! Donuts are absolutely amazing and their cider is the most crisp and beautiful stuff I have EVER had in my 24 years of exsitiance. No matter where I go in life, Im always coming back here for my fall cider and donut needs.
MoreNice Fall experience. The tasting room for hard cider was a nice bonus. They also have a nice food truck outside and another indoor area to watch them pressing apples for cider. The homemade goods are excellent.
MoreA perfect fall destination with delicious baked goods. Pies, donuts, cinnamon rolls, apple and blueberry bread and caramel apples made fresh daily. Quaint store with home decor, gifts, jams and other delicious goodies.
MoreJust moved to the area where this wonderful place is. Best donuts around for the fall season. The sad part is they close soon. They have all homemade bake goods and apple cider that they make from the apples grown on site. They do sell other goodies also. Highly recommend.
MoreI just happened upon this orchard, and it was delightful! The prices were low, and the vast array of products was surprising, too. The cidery was great, and the woman who worked in it was incredibly nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this orchard to everyone--family-friendly and good for those going alone as well!
MoreVery good apple cider. Doughnuts there are good. Picked some honey crisp Apples.
Excellent cinnamon rolls, apple cider donuts, & cider slushes. Nice outdoor seating to enjoy all the food. Hard cider flights available.
MoreEnjoy visiting here every year! The donuts and cider are simply delicious. I love that you can see the cider making process. The decor is quaint and they offer apples, pies, jellies, and candy for sale as well.
MoreA beloved Autumn tradition in Michigan is visiting a cider mill, and The Fruitful Orchard is one of the best in the state! (I travel nearly 2 hours to visit it annuallyIn addition to the traditional cider and donuts, they offer a large variety of baked goods - including their fabulous hot, fresh, pumpkin spice donuts! The little shop is cute and offers lots of goodies from jams and other canned goods to coffee and crafts. There is seating inside and out if you wish to enjoy your cider & donuts on the spot. When weather permits there is a hayride. The addition of their hard cider tasting room makes it even more fun for the grown ups, and with their delicious varieties, youre sure to find at least one that you love :)
MoreStopped by on a cool Saturday morning, they have so many different flavors of doughnuts, its hard to pick. Very friendly staff, willing to take time to answer my questions. We will stop again. Doughnuts were very tasty. Thank you
MoreI went to the orchard to accompany my sons 2nd grade field trip. The tour was very nice, its a small family owned very "cozy" operation. The owner led the tour and was more than patient answering all the questions that the little ones had. I wish they were able to show the cider press in action, but I completely understand that you cant run a 8 ton hydraulic press with 50 7 year old children trying to touch stuff. All said it was well worth the $3.50 for the tour. My son and I enjoyed spending the time together there. If you think $3.50 is expensive for this, keep in mind that they give the kids a donut and cup of cider, and, more importantly, they have to basically shut down their small operation for the tour days. I think that considering that, its a reasonable rate.
MoreEvery year I make this trip to the cider mill for donuts and cider along with a freshly baked apple pie to go. They have many different variety of donuts to pick from along with several different varieties of pies and apples to choose from. They have a window to view through as they are processing the cider. Also they have homemade crafts, jellies, plaques and other gifts and candles to purchase. While outside they have the orchards and hayrides fir the kids. A great place to come and share with your family.
MoreMy family and i all went (party of 13it was fabulous. The cider is crisp, and the harder ciders are delectable. I loved the purple heart! Also the ride on the haywagon was both fun and educational. Besides how busy they were the whole trip was amazing! Glad to have such a lovely location near home.
MoreGreat place to stop in at! They have a cute tasting room for sampling and purchasing hard ciders that they make themselves. They also have a nice selection of donuts, candy, ciders and of course apples!
MoreWe visited here to pick apples. Little did we know they had so much more! We got to fill a bag with apples for $14. They have a building where they sell decor, along with donuts, apples, apple cider, pies, caramel apples, etc etc. They have a separate building called the tasting room (something like that). It was for buying samples of many different kinds of wine! We ended up buying a 4-sampler and then bought a bottle of strawberry wine to take home. We are from Ohio, but were visiting family about 30 minutes away. This place was new to all of us. I had done a Google search for places to pick apples and buy cider. Boy, did we luck out here!! Well definitely be back again in the future!
