The Gathering Place Restaurant in LaGrange County

An excellent Cafe with a local feel! The food is fabulous, the waitress is wonderful and prompt and quick, the owner makes the cinnamon rolls herself. Even the customers spoke with us and gave us tips on what to see and do in the area! Best restaurant of our trip and that includes the overhyped buffets.

Amazing place! Just went there today. Staff was friendly, Nice and quite and very pleasant. Food was amazing also. I had the Southern Omelet with the huge cinnamon roll they had. Highly recommend for breakfast if your in Howe, Indiana.

Food wasnt the greatest they said it would be 45 minutes for my sandwich when I went back 45 minutes later, they hadnt even started it

I like eating there. My husband and I used to like going down for pie, lunch, pop, or coffee. Hed get biscuits and gravy and Id get breakfast or lunch. Shes got good food. I still go down their to eat.

Great find on a little detour around traffic on the toll road led us to lunch here. The service was friendly and efficient,.even to us out of towners who stopped in. We had an omelette and sandwiches between the group and all enjoyed our meals. Its now on our radar in case of a future detour! Check the hours before stopping, they are somewhat limited.

Nice little cozy home town feel restaurant with GOOD FOOD and GOOD SERVICE. Very friendly waitresses and staff. For the price it would have been nice to have had a little bit more food portions but with this COVID-19 going on I can also understand they are a small restaurant business that has been around for years and just trying to keep their business thriving for many more years. So overall this is a small restaurant that you need to stop in and enjoy and as always we need to keep these small family homestyle restaurants around and they are always better than the corporate chains that are more quantity over quality. I will definitely be going back and glad they are surviving this pandemic struggle we as the people are facing everyday. #Country strong!! #American made!!

As a local, I have been going to The Gathering Place for breakfast for so many years...and I have never been disappointed. Their food is just like a home cooked, comfort food, meal we all long for! They make great food, period...but their breakfast is the best, in my opinion! Friendly service with a smile and fast cooks too...what more could you ask for?

Was out for a ride on the motorcycle and came across this place, small town family diner. Its exactly what we were looking for. I had the southern omelet and pancakes. My girlfriend had biscuits and gravy. Both were great and served before we could even finish our first cup of piping hot coffee. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely go back.Sorry no pictures. We were too busy eating🙂

Pollack fish was very good today. They have some of the best chili around, perfect for these cold days.

Definitely will be back here for breakfast. The food was cooked well and the staff friendly. They have good hashbrowns (I often judge a breakfast place by their hashbrowns quality!One thing needs to be addressed: they should extend their Saturday hours to include lunch time!

The food is good, but the service was second to none. Never in any high end city restaurant have I been treated as well as I was in this little spot in a very small town. If going in the morning (their specialty is breakfast), order a cinnamon roll.

The Gathering Place was an excellent find! The home-cooked breakfast was perfection. You must get the cinnamon rolls! Best cinnamon rolls weve ever had! Go for the six pack! The staff was friendly and the service was quick. We will be adding this restaurant to our favorites list!

A quick place to grab something to eat thats extremely affordable. The food isnt the best quality but for the price you cannot go wrong. Every time Ive been here youre in and out within 15 to 20 minutes if you want to be. The staff has always pleasant and the food is always decent. I would highly recommend it if youre in the area and want something quick and affordable. this place is simply a little hometown diner with a locals go for breakfast. The environment is fantastic and again the prices are affordable.
