The Jack Warner At NorthRiver in Tuscaloosa County
Older venue, but clean, friendly staff, and quiet.
Nice place. Beautiful surroundings.
Very quiet hotel with a friendly staff.
None of the pics you see other than the view coming into the location are valid. The deck is decade and unusable and marked off with yellow warning ⚠️ tape that spans the entire deck and the hotel is just not clean at all. Disgusting is the best word for all of it
MoreBeautiful Clean Quiet Hotel So much Better than the Usual Mainstream Hotels. Well worth the 10 min drive of the Interstate Will definitely Always Stop Over when we travel. Front desk super Friendly. Beds very Comfortable Swimming and Tennis next door at the Clubhouse . Perfect.Art Collection Marvelous in the Library !
MoreThis place is awesome for so many reasons!
Beautiful place with a clean rustic feel. Awesome secluded location
Nice place. We were happy to stay the night for much needed rest.
Rooms we amazing. Just lacking a few things I would have liked to have in them. I couldnt find the bar or pool. But the beauty and area made up for everything. Peaceful and relaxing stay.
MoreThe rooms are as good as you could ask for the price. The location is AMAZING. Quiet and peaceful like a cabin in the woods without the horror movie!
MoreFelt like a torture room! Do you UNDERSTAND NOW!
This place is gorgeous! We came up from Biloxi on a whim and we were thoroughly impressed. Nice rooms, beautiful deck and a pretty little waterfall behind the hotel. Its right by the lake and you also have access to the country club, but we never made it there.
MoreA breath of fresh air! So much better than expected. Get away from the overpriced, over rated highway/chain hotel and really relax.
MoreWe spent Thanksgiving weekend at this wonderful hotel. Charming place, wonderful breakfast and friendly staff. Well definitely be back.
MoreRichard at the front desk was very welcoming. Just a genuine, kind person. The grounds & Lodge ( its not a hotel, its much, much more than that so lets call it a Lodgewere beautifully maintained. Our room was spacious although it was one of the smaller rooms. Clean & the bed was just right. Our windows overlooked an enchanting walkway into the woods. The full on breakfast was good and was more than continental . The Lodge was very quiet but I read if a wedding reception etc is going on you might need to be in a room farther away from the house. Us - we would have crashed and partied with the group🤣! This is where you want to stay!We only got to stay one night but I highly recommend it to anyone looking for old world charm and ambience.
MoreThe worst hotel customer service in my life
First we make the reservation by online and when we been right there the reception the girl work there she was so rude and denied my reservation gust what that was not the only thing hanging up my call when I call the number that was my first and the last experience with this hotel
MoreLoved it. Quaint, quiet, helpful staff, beautiful amenities. Cant wait to return!
MoreStaff was very nice and accommodating rooms were clean could use a little updating. Outside of the building needs some TLC but overall I would stay there again.
MoreVery quaint and gorgeous! Might come back one day and stay longer!
Havent stayed at the Jack Warner in many years but my wife and I booked a two night stay recently and had a wonder time. Clean, comfortable and so peaceful. The best thing was the the two staff members we interacted with - Mary and Cassidy. They could not have been more helpful and genuinely nice people. 5 stars!!
MoreThe water pressure in the shower was to low not enough pressure. The money they make off of the rooms they could do something about the water pressure.
MoreBeautiful place omg super comfy rooms to die for lounge/study love the books and nic naks
MoreLoved it here. Quiet, beautiful surroundings for a wedding.
Amazing staff, great service, and clean, comfy room. I accidently left my entire toiletry bag at home and they hooked me up with what I needed. It was dope
MoreGreat lodging! Beautiful rooms! Good price!
I told the owner and Ill say it here publicly: I would reroute my trip just to stay at the Jack Warner again. We absolutely loved it. Superbly clean rooms, comfortable bed, beautifully welcoming layout, ample breakfast, amazing surrounds, and spectacular staff. We highly recommend you enjoy this place -- its a one of a kind. I love the period details, the shutters in the room allowing darkness for those who need it, the beautiful forest surrounding the property.
MoreExcellent Place for your own private retreat and relaxation.
Ordered teriyaki chicken was good lots of big chicks of chicken well done
Although a little dated in decor, very inviting with a wonderful staff. I would recommend.
MoreA nice secluded location. Rooms are large but a bit dated.
This hotel needs several updates but the staff was very accommodating.
Clean, quiet, beautiful, and friendly staff. Theres several decks out over a ravine with gorgeous views
MoreA hidden gem in Tuscaloosa. I think theyve got some plans for significant renovations and upgrades early next year, but the staff was really great. The history of the club is rather interesting, too. Breakfast was great. I am really close to giving 5 stars as it is, but I suspect with the upcoming renovations the minor things will be resolved. TVs were a bit small and low resolution. Some spots in the carpet had bleach stains in the hallway. The bathroom vent fan was not functional, which was causing slight peeling of paint in the ceiling.
MoreBeautiful property and relaxing atmosphere, but the best part is the staff. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. We were tired travelers after moving our son in at UA. We plan to be back soon to explore the property more and enjoy that delicious breakfast.
MoreThis place is very beautiful and relaxing. The view is absolutely stunning!
Wonderful! I loved the aesthetic of the venue, and everything went wonderfully!
Canceled my friends group reservations for her wedding weeks before the event. Horrible business practices!
MoreHow do you cancel a group reservation this close to the wedding! This is unacceptable. Not a great way to run a business. You cancel the reservations but you are taking reservations for the same time period. Ugh.
MoreLovely inn that needs TLC.Booked room as I was attending a wedding at the club next door and thought staying here would be convenient.Breakfast is continental. Not provided shampoo or conditioner in room upon arrival. After taking with other guests, no one provided shampool. Bathtub did not drain well. Called front desk and after plunging and drano - still not draining well.Stayed three nights and room never cleaned. Had to go to front desk to ask for clean towels last night. No bottled water. Hairdryer was old and handle was very sticky. Beds comfortable but air conditioner was loud. There is no restaurant on site although we were able to go to the yacht club and pick up a meal after asking front desk staff to call. Stay was a disappointment as I had heard rave reviews from friends about this hotel. Needs attention and an update. It has the potential to be lovely. A trip into Tuscaloosa requires a 20 minute commute. Staff friendly but there does not seem to be a plan for taking care of guests.
MoreThe beds and furniture were very comfortable, staff was nice, but we missed some of the amenities of chain hotels such as in room refrigerators, safes and hot breakfast. There are also no safety features in the bathroom, like safety bars in the shower
MoreGreat venue got married here on St Patricks day.👍👍👍
Nice place to stay. Clean grounds and bathrooms were nice and updated. Beds and sheets were were a bit dated. Hotel, however, was convenient to the wedding at the yacht club we were in town for. On the other hand, a bit far from other places in town.
MoreStaff was great! Rooms were updated and really clean. Wedding and reception were amazing.
MoreVery nice lodging, quite location, well appointed rooms, artwork everywhere, the staff very friendly and welcoming.
MoreWonderful place. The staff was kind and hard working. Really helped everyone for my brothers wedding. Its also pretty damn comfy
MoreMost accommodating people, beautiful area, which made for a great meeting place for our group. It was quiet and serine!
MoreGreat little historic hotel at lake Tuscaloosa! Fred at the front desk was amazing!
MoreLovely place! Very clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and a few went out of their way to help out in any way they could. The only things I would complain about are the pillows were somewhat thin and the first morning there, they had cereal but no milk at all and had to run out and get it (which was very nice...and i believe it was off season so maybe thats why...I only seen 1 other couple there the entire stay).
MoreI was enthusiastically surprised when I checked into the Yellow Hammer Inn. The service was most excellent. The GM, General Manager, Chris went above and beyond to exceed my expectations for accommodations. The staff is wonderful. Morgan and Will at the Front Desk are exceptional in their professionalism and customer service. I could not have asked for more. Joannna, also at the Front Desk was helpful as well. Everyone here was friendly and gave me the feeling as if I were in Old Europe. As an expat residing here in Tuscaloosa, it was quite unexpected to find such a unique boutique hotel with much art and décor from old Europe and the Americas. This is a quaint Inn located in the vicinity of one the of top rated golf courses in the Southeastern United States.I highly propose booking directly through the Yellow Hammer as they will accommodate every wish you have. They truly rolled out the red carpet for me. Thank you. Frau Jessika Graf
